This seems to be pretty much on life support already - Net hash is woeful.
Next to zero volume on exchanges, and 1 pump on mintpal with an influx of about half a bitcoin to take it up to 9000 last night and the shows over? Is there any activity coming from the dev team to bring this thing to life?
also asdlolciterquit - dogemoon has been a great pool so far hitting expected shares almost dead on. You'd prob get about 100 a day.
uhm...are you saying that it's not a good period to start mining suncoin?

is there any reason why you guys don't want it on a larger exchange like cryptsy? i don't see the benefit of it being on these small exchanges, unless i'm missing something? (not that i'm selling any) i just think that cryptsy will never add fck if i have to choose between cryptsy and mintpal i will choose cryptsy, off course.

My solution is to create a bat file in the same directory as the exe for litecoin/bitcoin/dogecoin/etc You need to disable the "run at startup" option in the client itself, as this would create a shortcut at the startup dir for running the client with the default data directory. Trying to change that shortcut will be futile as it will reset to the defaul form (IIRC whenever you look at options menu) bat file code: IF NOT EXIST .\DATA mkdir DATA start bitcoin-qt.exe -min -datadir=.\DATA exit As you can see, it uses a relative subdirectory called DATA and located inside the client's folder. It creates that directory if it doesn't exist because otherwise the client will error out saying the directory is missing and self terminate (instead of creating the directory) Then you just need to put a shortcut to that bat file in the startup directory and set that shortcut to run minimized to avoid an unsightly command prompt coming up every time. The reason I use "start" and "exit" is to ensure that the cmd prompt itself is gone after the program starts. oh, and make sure to change bitcoin-qt.exe to litecoin / dogecoin / whatevercoin as needed Hi! i need to run the wallet as administrator. How can i change the bat file to do that? Thanks!

As has been said a thousand times in this thread it is 1% nominal interest. That 1% can be compounded as much as every 8 hours. If you don't understand what compound interest means then go look it up. If you don't think that will be enough POS then don't bother, leave it to the people who actually understand.
I don't really understand it because of the randomness nature of it. Could you tell me if I have lets say 0.1% of the total coins i.e. 100k BC, and the PoS begins, how many am I expected to have after 10 days? 100 days? year? Thanks! look, after a years you can without any big problem use simple interests of 1%. So, 100k*(1,01)=101k,something... No, I dont' think that's what artiface said. uhm...even i you use compound interest, is very little more than 1% per year.

Hi,
The stake of 1% annually. Does this mean you get 1% extra coins per year? (Much lower than with MINT or EBT)
Anybody? i am also very interested in an answer to this very important question Thats the function in the source: // miner's coin stake reward based on coin age spent (coin-days) int64 GetProofOfStakeReward(int64 nCoinAge, int64 nFees) { int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8);
if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation")) printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRI64d"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge);
return nSubsidy + nFees; }
COIN_YEAR_REWARD = 0.01 (1%) But I couldn't figure it out when and how often it applies. Maybe a DEV could help to understand this better? edit: typo Thanks for the feedback. So it really is 1%. This basically means it is a pure POW coin, since nobody will be really interested in the PoS rewards, I think. I think you really need to consider the compound interest. 1% of the 1% 3 times a day could add up fairly quickly. can anyone say how much is it with the compound interest? i made some math, but it's seem (maybe i'm wrong) that in very few higher than 1% year
