Ok. I should of said normal people that abide by the norm to live a normal life is seen as intelligent to me.
But we all have our own opinion on how this is perceived.
Forcing your views on others is not an intelligent way to act by any means and just gets you ostracized by your peers which to me is a very unintelligent thing to do, anyway you try to spin it. It is a barbaric way to act in my view anyways.

Not sure why you feel offended, so let me try to explain it in another way:

In school math 1 plus 1 equals 2. It doesnt matter which opinion we have about it - it is just a fact.

Same goes for (high) intelligence which enables a human being to have higher cognitive abilities then other people with less iq.
If or how you use your high intelligence is a whole different question.

Higher cognitive abilities also show themself in several different ways and is unique to your personality and physical being.

But i believe the most important feat of (high) intelligence is being able to think for yourself.

So try it and research the topic, because i somehow doubt that you even read the quote.

*edit

Btw. Who is setting the norm? In nazi germany it was the norm to kill jews.

As much as I dislike alot of the racist rhetoric that is posted here for discussion, I find psychology tends to suffer from wearing blinders or dismissing anything that does not reinforce the view. I enjoy it but you have to be alert to left leaning articles like this one.
Racism shows up all along the spectrum of intelligence, its the dismissive stance to pretend that its just poor and uneducated folks that are inflicted.

I agree with that and want to add that the studies i linked dont say that.

Low iq correlates highly with racism but that doesnt mean that every racist is low iq.

That is why i asked people to read the studies first Wink

No. It is European/UN law that a refugee registers in the first country they arrive in look it up..

That "first country" is going to be Turkey. All these immigrants must be housed in Turkey, and the UNHCR should make the necessary arrangements. However, Turkey is refusing to accept the immigrants and they are using this opportunity to blackmail the European Union for more and more funds. They are about to receive €20 billion in addition to visa-free travel for the Turkish nationals.

They already got the 20 billion last week. Next week we will send 100 billion and additionaly they will get our first borns. (Pedos need kids right)
Didnt you get the memo?!

3908  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism and intelligence on: May 08, 2016, 05:05:52 PM
There is no co-relation between both but there are lots of intelligent people who are raciest as well.
It is society's way to make the population abide by a certain way of conduct.
Even if they were intelligent, they would not be unless to conform the way society would portray them.

intelligence can be measured by an iq test.

do we agree on such basic stuffs? if not please refrain from posting here and create your own thread.

wtf seems i hit a point or why are only trolls coming here?  Roll Eyes

No I DO NOT. Psychology also plays a role in it too.
A crazy like Charlie Manson can take the test as well saying he is intelligent but DO YOU see him as that?
If so, then more intelligent people with a higher score on those tests will beg to Differ.  Undecided

Intelligence has nothing to do with bad and good.
You either have low iq, average iq, high iq or something in between. It doesnt matter for the test and the result if you are c. Mason or m. Ghandi.
Iq measured by an iq test just says something about the intrinsic abilities of your brain to proceed information.

Im pretty sure i know high iq people will agree with me.
3909  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism and intelligence on: May 08, 2016, 04:53:21 PM
I agree with the premise of the thread, but not necessarily the reasoning behind it...

I would argue that the predominant factor is religion... religious people are dumb... religious people also tend to vote republican (simply because republicans cater to their demands/ideals)... herego, republicans are dumb by proxy, but not for the assumed reason in the OP

Though, I suppose you could argue that it's not, "religious people are dumb", but rather "dumb people are religious"...

Is this the new, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

I also read about religion and intelligence and would agree with your findings that low iq people usually are very religious.

And very religious people usually tend to discriminate against other religions and certain religious groups.
( i.e. there is only one true religion )

One such group that sets a great example would probaly be the KKK.

can you elaborate on the first part and give evidence for the same?

i asked for opinions but please try to back up your opinions with facts and arguments.

also please read the studies before you post. both posters above didnt.
3912  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism and intelligence on: May 08, 2016, 01:24:23 PM
What a bullshit. To understand right-wing and far-right-wing way to think, you have to be of that side, like it is for left-wing and far-left-wing. Results are always crappy when one side tries to examinate the other one.

science based on empirical data is bullshit?  Huh

i think you are a good example that these studies are correct Cheesy

Dhont and Hodson believe they have an answer to this, again one based on rigorous abundant evidence. Their theory is that right-wing ideologies attract people with lower mental abilities because they minimize the complexity of the world. Right-wing ideologies offer well-structured and ordered views of society, views that preserve traditions and norms, so they are especially attractive to those who are threatened by change and want to avoid uncertainty and ambiguity. Conversely, smart people are more capable of grasping a world of nuance, fluidity and relativity.
The empirical evidence supports this link, too. Low intelligence and “low effort thinking” are strongly linked to right-wing attitudes, including authoritarianism and conservative politics. And again, there appears to be a demonstrable causal link: Studies have found, for example, that children with poor mental skills grow up to be strongly right-wing adults.

Feel free to post additional information, your experience and opinion about this topic.

I found more studies but as far as i know these are some of the newest.

Im pretty sure majority of these "single persons" also have several additional shill accounts to give the impression that a multitude of people are supporting their narrative/agenda.

Another point is that this sub is not the most popular one because a lot of posters in this sub are quite weird in their perception of reality.
3917  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China: Farmer designs and builds home-made submarine in two months on: May 08, 2016, 10:26:18 AM
I wonder if the Chinese navy is patented as well. Or was it simply supplied by Russia?

The Chinese have the habit of purchasing a few copies of the Russian defense equipment and then plagiarizing them. A good example is that of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21. The Chinese purchase a few pieces of MiG-21, and after studying the aircraft, they made their own plagiarized version called Chengdu J-7. They also exported this aircraft (J-7) to other countries, earning billions of USD in revenues.

The chinese didnt buy some copies they bought the mig-21 license to build them directly in china.

The sowjets sold them the blueprints - something which is still regulary done today in international arms industry.

Wikipedia needs to be boycotted. It is full of insane extreme-leftist propaganda and xenophobia. I was an active Wikipedia editor from 2006 to 2011. I have more than 125 new article creations and 10,000 edits to my name. But after 2010, the Wikipedia was increasingly being controlled by organized cabals. Truth is being dumped in favor of political correctness.

Wiki is bad because ppl like you who have a clue about nothing can write there Wink
