3901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela situation and Bitcoin mining. on: February 20, 2022, 08:42:23 AM
Damn brother, u good? Jumping and calling me a Maduro's CM right away just because I wanted to know others people opinion about my country. Go outside and touch some grass, all your posts are like this, looking to create discussion around politics and stupid shit. U don't want to to do business here, good for you, no one wants to steal nothing from you.

Of course I am good.

And don't worry, I usually go out a lot because where I live there is much more peace and tranquility than in Venezuela, no matter how much those of you who are part of the regime try to fool people by telling them how good life is there.

Only a madman would go mining in Venezuela today.

3902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela situation and Bitcoin mining. on: February 20, 2022, 07:13:05 AM

Let's see, what are you? A CM of Maduro by the looks of it.

Venezuela is today a garbage as a result of the disastrous policies of first Chavez and then Maduro, which have turned it into one of the most insecure countries in the world, with an exodus of millions of Venezuelans to escape hunger and violence. All communist regimes (even those that don't want to call themselves that, as in your country) end up the same way. With hunger, political repression and deaths everywhere.

No way I'm going to mine Bitcoin in Venezuela, no matter how much your boss Maduro would like to steal from me.
3903  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia gives in and considers accepting bitcoin exchange on: February 19, 2022, 09:06:59 AM
https://www.euronews.com/next/2022/02/09/russia-s-government-and-central-bank-agree-to-treat-cryptos-as-currency

From considering a ban to admitting that it is nearly impossible to prevent the use of bitcoin, that is already extended to millions of its citizens that will not stop their trading and holding just for an official ban, the government has chosen a much wiser path, legalise and make sure that the actors of the market are clearly identified and can operate in full compliance with legislation.

I think you are late to post this news. Just not long ago I responded in a similar post because yesterday's news is not very flattering, and raises a completely different picture from what was expected on the 9th:

This is a link to a good source(RU)
https://tass.ru/ekonomika/13754269
Nothing changed. The Central Bank wants to neutralize cryptocurrencies in Russia as much as possible by banning banks, commercial organizations, etc. And the Ministry of Finance wants to regulate this area. But there is no result yet. It is not even clear what taxes will have to be paid.
__
Just do not write more about the Communist government, this is complete nonsense.

You can read the Russian newspaper using an online translator, I have done so.

If someone pays you $300 a month for your posts, then you can really consider yourself lucky. For a few minutes a day and a couple of one-line posts, there is no reason not to like this forum Wink
There's only one "someone" who pays that amount as a maximum per week as far ask I know,

He was talking about $300 a month, not per week. It is clear that the campaign in which the OP participates pays him that amount:

2. Signature campaign: Legendary/Hero - $300/month, max 12 participants...

Hence the comment, I think sarcastic from Lucius.

From what I see you do trading, which is a very respectable option but you would have less risk by simply studying which are the best financial assets and then simply B&H for the long term. You can keep adding to the investment regularly with DCA.

Many traders who have ups and downs and end up losing money would have much better results if they did that. Especially when you consider that the percentage of traders who make profits over the long term is very low.

What I say to do is more boring, it does not give you that thrill that hooks traders so much.

3906  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian gov agreed to regulate crypto like currencies, not not assets on: February 19, 2022, 08:44:52 AM
But I would request everyone, not to believe a Communist government because things can become very different that it looks like. There could be a huge difference between what they are saying now and what they have planned for the future.

Fuck! That article tells a completely different story from the OP. There has been no progress and what the Bank of Russia wants is to ban and ban.

What I liked about what was said in the OP is the limit below which you didn't have to declare. The problem we are facing around the world is that in the vast majority of countries Bitcoin has been regulated analogously to some stocks or mutual funds. So, if you go and pay for a coffee with Bitcoin, you would have to declare that as a partial sale of your holdings. Setting a limit below which it cannot be declared avoids the problem and helps it to become an everyday currency.

But well, it looks like Russia is going the other way now.

3907  Economy / Economics / Re: [POLL] What is the most likely long term scenario for Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2022, 07:08:01 AM
I agree with most of the answers. I think it will continue to be the No. 1 in the crypto market and will grow in importance as an investment, until it replaces gold as digital gold.

The "overtake major fiat currencies" part: while I hope it would, I'm kinda doubtful of.

I feel the same way. I see it more as a dream than a possible reality.
3908  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: February 18, 2022, 06:56:52 AM
As we know at the end of 2021 the price of bitcoin decreased due to entering a bear market because of the new year.

Nonsense.

But now bitcoin continues to decline again due to Russia's war with Ukraine.

I would almost say this is nonsense as well but I'll leave it at there is no proof of that alleged causal relationship.

In your opinion, is this the reason the bitcoin price keeps dropping, sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down again.

I would say that after last year's failed predictions, no one is quite clear why the price is behaving the way it is. The possible war may influence in the short term but we don't know if it is going to influence it up or down.

Because there is a new issue that says that there is no war between Russia and Ukraine but the American mind.

What? I don't understand you.
3909  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits.com Scammed ME on: February 18, 2022, 06:51:44 AM
Duelbits is going on its 2nd year as a reputable casino I recommend backing up your claim by posting screenshots of your account, transaction ID and conversation with support just post the link of the screenshot without it there's no accusation to talk about, Duelsbits do not act that way, and we have to hear both sides.

I support what robelneo is saying. In this section we see many scams but we also see cases of unfounded accusations against sites that are later found to be false for some reason or another. If you want to give strength to what you say, you will have to provide something more than your words.
3910  Other / Meta / Re: Deletion of my post on: February 18, 2022, 06:46:16 AM
...
Because to be honest i've been monitoring my account since feb 15 and some of my post are getting deleted every day.

I don't know if there's someone playing the report button and wants to take down my account.. Or it's because of my English?  Cry

Anyways is there a way how to trace those reporters? I just want too see their feedbacks for reporting my post.

Surely someone has identified you as a shitposter and goes every day to see what you have written to report you. There is no way to identify who has reported you, unless that same person comes out and says so (I once did). As to why you have been reported, maybe a moderator who visits this thread can tell you, so that you can avoid making the same mistake.
3911  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Number of Post in a Day and a Week. on: February 18, 2022, 06:43:04 AM
There is no total number of posts for a week or day. There is just a wait time between posts, sort of like a cool down time to stimulate users to read more then they post.

I never had the problem of not being able to post because I had to wait, even when I was a newbie. It probably happens quite a lot to newbie shitposters, although in this case I have looked at the OP's post history and he doesn't seem to be. I guess it would be a coincidence of writing two posts very fast and he got the message about having to wait.
3912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most reliable coin to invest in is Bitcoin. on: February 17, 2022, 10:26:58 AM
I think in this part of the forum we are pretty convinced that Bitcoin is the best investment. Surely they wouldn't tell you the same thing in the alts section. The only thing is that the reasons you provide to justify it seem pretty poor to me. As mentioned, past results do not guarantee that they will be repeated in the future.

I think Bitcoin is the best because of its intrinsic properties: it is decentralized, limited and finite supply, ideal for storing and transferring value, especially in large quantities, etc.

3913  Economy / Economics / Re: What's happening in Canada ? on: February 17, 2022, 07:47:45 AM
What has happened is that the government has taken quasi-dictatorial measures against those who do not act like they want. In theory for the common good, to get rid of the pandemic, which is more like an epidemic, and which is just now less dangerous than ever since the March 2020 outbreak. But if we look at the past, all dictators, even those who murdered millions of people, did it for a supposed common good.

And, yes, Bitcoin has provided a window of opportunity to break free from the clutches of the state.
3914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Ministry wants to legalize Bitcoin mining in specific areas on: February 17, 2022, 07:44:05 AM
I think it would be more important that Russia ends up legalizing Bitcoin. Somewhere I read that it could be as legal tender, although without obligation to accept it as in El Salvador. If this were to happen, I think it would boost a mining industry in Russia, but let's wait for developments, it won't be long before we know more concretely.
3915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really censorship-resistent if they can't reach Canadian truckers on: February 17, 2022, 07:34:02 AM
I asked about this question in another thread on the subject. Not being able to spend the Bitcoin directly, but exchanging it in exchanges, I doubted if the government would not order them to freeze those accounts as well. I simply see that it will cost them more work, but they will be able to make use of the money eventually:

...in Canada. They don't have complete jurisdiction all over the world.

They're only banned from selling the coins on centralized platforms like Kraken and Coinbase, but they're still totally free to move the funds around. Heck, then can even still sell the funds in a peer-to-peer manner if they chose to.

As for the tracking, there's a reason why CoinJoins and mixers exist, and why developers are still trying to work on making Bitcoin more private.

Even if it takes time and work, at least with Bitcoin there are ways to escape the clutches of the state.
3916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I came as a beginner who wants to learn more knowledge on: February 17, 2022, 07:27:13 AM
Welcome from me as well. In this forum you can find a lot of information, there is a lot of misinformation also in certain sections. In the end you will learn to distinguish it. For example: the posts from page 10 onwards in the Bitcoin discussion threads, usually do not contribute anything significant.

Just visit the forum regularly, and little by little you will get to know it better and gradually learn more.

3917  Economy / Economics / Re: How Crypto Became the New Subprime on: February 16, 2022, 07:10:21 AM
I don't think anyone here on this forum will agree with Paul Krugman or support his claims. But perhaps it makes for interesting reading.

Normally, I was not very convinced by Krugman because I see his arguments as rather leftist. And I am not convinced when he talks about economics in general. Regarding this, he may be partly right that there is a bubble especially in shitcoins, but calling it the new subprime in the title seems exaggerated, although he later qualifies it. I guess it's a bit of a sensationalist way to attract the reader's attention.

3918  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin failed to fulfill the purpose it was created for ? on: February 16, 2022, 07:00:21 AM
We all know that bitcoin is the king and father of all digital assets. Bitcoin was created for 2 purposes.

1. To be an alternative to fiat currency.
2. Stay free from govt control.

At present some big online marketplaces accept bitcoin but from being an alternative payment to fiat currency I think we are still behind. We also saw many countries are hostile towards bitcoin and china baned everything related to bitcoin. So china's ban on bitcoin shows that it's free from govt control or its the opposite? Bitcoin can really be the alternative to fiat in spite of this extreme volatility?

Regarding point one, it remains to be seen whether this is a real alternative in the future. At the moment it is used partly as currency and partly as investment, but I don't see it being a real alternative to cash in the short term, even considering how fast the use of cash is being reduced around the world.

Regarding government control, I think today it is much more controlled than Satoshi and the cyberpunks thought. Private use of Bitcoin, apart from going through centralized exchanges, is in the minority. But that is partly why it is becoming more and more widespread.

3919  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit.com, they do not pay winnings on: February 16, 2022, 06:55:31 AM
I'll bet it won't be the last time we see someone saying that 1xbit doesn't pay them. It wasn't the first time either. It's not uncommon for people, especially newbies, to only seek out this section of the forum after being scammed or taking a while to get their money.

Oh really? You didn't submit any proof of your deposits/winning bets/Chat logs with support. Still, people believe you because 1xbit and 1xBet are known as scam websites. I am active in this for a few months now and I have never seen someone get their payment after creating a Scam accusation. This is the first time I have read that someone got their withdrawal from this scam casino. Well, If you got the payment, You can update the OP and Title to Resolved. At least one accusation has been resolved. Of course, that doesn't mean that they will resolve the rest of the accusations. They have a lot of active scam accusations and I would like to suggest everyone not play on their platform.

Well, even if he did not provide evidence, he may have been paid a small amount. For the casino to work, even if they usually scam, they have to pay some people, if they paid absolutely no one, they would eventually run out of people playing there.

I agree that he should put solved and lock the thread.
3920  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign earnings and monthly income. on: February 16, 2022, 06:47:18 AM
Are you talking about ChipMixer? Receiving $1200 per month just for writing posts no doubt is a lot. But I am not sure that a person can write 50 posts per week for a long period. If I were to write 50 posts per week, I would burn out after several months.

I am sure many people can and many do. My average is around 40 posts, and in my current sig campaign I only get paid for 25. That's apart from the fact that I have a main job, I also play poker and have some social life. If I didn't have a main job I think I could write 100 posts.

I would burn out if I had to play poker 8 hours a day but not for writing.

There was one in the CM campaign that had 3 or 4 alts until he got caught. He must have been writing 150 weekly posts at least.
