I may be moving these to the auction section shortly, so keep watch, you may be able to snag a deal.

I'll update everything once I get them in hand, but for now subbing in is in no way promising to buy one, so if you just want to follow the thread feel free. Like I said, I got them for about $30 under market value, so that could either be because I bought in bulk, or because there is something wrong with them, even though they are new. So when I am 100% certain they are legit, I'll update the post and start selling them.

Iv seen them go at 80% value before, but I have pretty good luck selling for 93-95% when I do sell them. Sometimes things are just too good to be true, but then again, sometimes people are just desperate. Although, I would say, this is not a safe buy.

Hey guys, I just purchased 14 Western Digital WD 2TB My book essential External Hard Drive USB 3.0 and I'm gauging interest on them to see if anyone would be interested in them. I will be selling 13 of them, and using one first to make sure they are all as described and there isn't anything fishy about them, as I did get a decent price for them. They are new in the box, and sealed, but I can pick out individuals to test them and make sure they are what they say they are before shipping them out. The shipping quote said they will be here before June 10th, so they could be here in 2-3 days or take as long as a week, but as I said, I would like to line up some people who are interested in purchasing them before I get them. I will not accept BTC or $ for them until I have tested them to make sure they are what I purchased. Heres a link if you want to check out the details/specs on them. http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Essential-External-WDBACW0020HBK-NESN/dp/B0041OSQBG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1338759459&sr=8-3I'm asking $100 each via BTC or Moneygram with shipping via USPS Priority Mail included in the price. I can ship out of the U.S, but I would require that you pay the difference in shipping. I will also consider trades for mining rig equipment/gpus.

can we just do the world a favor and bury him in a shallow grave deep in the woods?
Oh god, I wouldn't take that threat lightly from lolwut, have I mentioned that you kind of scare me?

I should probably mention, if you receive stolen merchandise, the police can legally take it from you, but you will not be prosecuted if there is evidence that you had no knowledge, not the slightest feeling that it could have been stolen. But! If there is even the slightest doubt that you knew that you were buying or possibly buying stolen goods, you can be prosecuted.
A friend of mine bought a stolen skateboard (this was quite a few years ago) and the police showed up and just took it from him, but he was not charged for anything. But, I have known some people who had thought they may have been buying stolen goods, but because they knew there was a chance it was stolen, they were charged. Not harshly, but still charged.
TLDR: because this thread exists warning everyone that more than likely the $ is stolen, you will get prosecuted for purchasing stolen goods should you decide to buy them, and they are indeed stolen.

Got mine as well, it's pretty cool looking, nice size, etc. Now I have to try using it, just have to pay for something in bitcoins. I think they would be good for face to face transactions, but I think just sending Bitcoins via the wallet will still be better for long range transactions.

Forgot you can't edit in auction threads, anyway. I don't quite understand how that quote is relevant in any way. Dave sells his stones 50% cheaper than you will find anywhere else, he doesn't charge you for shipping, and his highest price (starting price) point is very comparable to any other stone with the same properties you will find, and that is because he knows he will end up dropping the price. I would say greed isn't in tiptopgemdotcom's vocabulary, but he is an intelligent man, so I guess I can't literally, but what I'm trying to say is, he is never in it for the money, he is in it for the customers. Although he does have bills to pay so of course he isn't going to give away his stones for free. The very implication of the quote is just rediculous I know he won't tell you off because he is too professional, but I will

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA tool.

Alright, this is what I had thought, but the last time I had looked at building a mining rig was a few years back, so I thought perhaps the technology had changed.
He said his fan speeds are 45-50%, and one of his GPUs is water cooled. But like a real pro, when he says water cooled, he really means water, not the coolant liquids that you are supposed to use.
|
|
|
So anyway, I'm in the process of setting up my first mining rig, after finally finding a place to put one. And I was talking to a friend about what he was running, and he has a few cards, 2 6950s, some 6870s, a few 5770s etc, and I was asking him about his rig before I set mine up, and I was quite alarmed when he told me his have been running at 103C for the last 3 months 24/7. How does that even happen? Don't GPUs die at 80C or so?
Just wondering mostly because this kind of thing majorly effects how I set up.
