3902  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: May 07, 2013, 11:36:34 PM
I just noticed a thread at the BFL forum where about sixteen people report problems (May 5th to May 7th) - with some minor variations on the theme of attempted upgrades to shipping not being recorded on the BFL order page after payment was made.

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/bfl-forum-miscellaneous/2372-order-stuck-limbo-bfl-please-help.html

Two days and no responses from any staff ?

And Josh wonders why he gets trolled so viciously ?

...since BTCGuild usually does well PPLNS has been a long-term good bet... they're basically using BTCGuild as a stratum PPLNS server for their mining operation. Smiley

So are saying we should all switch to BTCGuild and mine PPLNS because it's the best game in town ?
3904  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 07, 2013, 06:25:09 PM
Please increase my commitment from 10 units, to 15 units total.

Started this thread in Scam Accusations if anyone wants to discuss this in a more appropriate sub to get these guys off the forums.

I would like to suggest that based on all the evidence amassed in that thread, we should treat CedarTech as scammers.

Thanks for posting these links. I did not have the foresight to get involved in the AM IPO or get involved with the Bitcoin stock-market at all.

If I understand correctly, if I go to Bitfunder.com and buy 100 shares of G.ASICMINER-PT, I will then own 100 shares stored at Bitfunder, and they will pay me the dividends in my account that I can then withdraw to my wallet ?
3908  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who all has received Jalapenos? on: May 07, 2013, 06:51:47 AM
I am trying to find out if they are still shipping or have stopped for some reason, I am not interested in pictures of chilli's or other silly pictures, and general defamation of BFL. I want to know if people are receiving product.

Not many. Only ~35 units have been shipped out. Check their May 6th update. I'm guessing shipping is going to resume next week.

6 May 2013 ASIC Update

It's been a few weeks since the last update and a lot has happened since then.

As many of you know, we started shipping out a quantity of Jalapeno's (around 35 or so), about half of those went to developers and the media, the other half went to customers. They have been well received so far and everyone is happy with what they have received. In the meantime, we have been diligently working on the Little Singles, Singles and Minirigs.

This past weekend, we received in the new boards for the Little Single, Single and Minirig, pictured below. As you can see, the board redesign incorporates a total of 16 possible chips, as well as some power distribution changes. One of the more prominent changes is the fact that we have moved from barrel jack power to PCIe style Minifit Jr 6 pin connectors. Each board has two 6 pin connectors to provide power, and each board is intended to provide up to 60 GH/s hashing power.

We discovered some issues that we needed to resolve with the boards and had to change a few minor things. We tested them out on a hand modified board and they worked, so we've issued the redesign to the PCB house. The new boards are being finished today, the 6th of May, and should be ready this evening. We have more chips from the packager on the way to the assembly facility, and they should arrive on Thursday, the 9th of May. In the meantime, we will be testing and making sure the new board is functioning like we intend for when the chips arrive to the assembly facility. We don't have a count on the number of chips that will be arriving on Thursday as of yet.

The current board will support the hashrates ordered for Little Single and Single in one box, so single units will be shipped out for both the Little Single and the Single. The Minirig will most likely ship as two units (where as it was just one before) and possibly some Singles to bring it up to the full hashrate ordered. 5 GH/s miner production will continue concurrently with the rest of our product line. We are incorporating some changes into the new 5 GH/s miner to bring the heat and power usage down, and that will be incorporated as we go forward. Power usage on the new boards hasn't been tested yet as we are waiting for the revised board, so I don't have power figures for it yet.

Below is a picture of the new board for the Little Single, Single and Minirig, as well as a Single running.

Vastly overpriced, compared to anything else
The only other real mining product ready to ship are gpus. These are a steal.
Bfl lol one year and yet to ship my 60 ghash unit. They are only in second stage deveopment.

What the heck are you talking about ?! BFL shipped on April 1st. No joke ! Don't you know anything ?!??
3911  Other / Meta / Re: Petition: BFL should no longer be allowed to advertise here on: May 06, 2013, 06:22:41 AM
+1.

Inaba / Josh Zerlan, their CEO, did state that that these forums are not important to their business of mining hardware, after all.

3912  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner [Post if interested] on: May 06, 2013, 05:09:03 AM
I'd buy a handfull.
3913  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 06, 2013, 01:47:43 AM
That doesn't stop me to think that you've lost your mind and definitely doesn't make me think that you bought it to support a network

You can't even imagine how less I care.
3914  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 06, 2013, 01:00:44 AM
reinvest what with 300mh Mr Altruism?

Easy there cowboy. Actually, with the 10 I've just committed to purchasing, that will add 3GH/s to my existing farm at a negligible hit to my monthly electrical costs.

I've been mining for a couple years and am sitting on a pile of Bitcoins to spend. What do you care what I spend them on ?
3915  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 05, 2013, 10:54:21 PM
anyone who buy it has lost his mind if he is not loaded with money and just want to have one in collection

... or choosing to reinvest mined Bitcoins in hardware to generate more Bitcoins while supporting the network.

Put me down for 10 units @ 21.013 BTC
3917  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 05, 2013, 09:10:47 PM
So if I understand correctly, after all 300 units have been ordered, the lead time is ~25 days out before we receive product ?

I'm considering committing to an order for 10 units @ 21.013 BTC.
3918  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: May 05, 2013, 08:34:37 PM
Let me know your order numbers, I will be happy to get your refund taken care of right away.

Josh, throw me a bone here... Do you at least recognize how completely unprofessional and anti-customer this sort of attitude is ?

 Do you even care ?

I mean, I'm not telling you how to run your business, but you are playing an extremely dangerous game with this sort of brazen attitude.

You are essentially telling everyone here on these forums "We have you, our customers, bent over, and you just need to keep taking it with this Kong Dong of Penetration +2. Fuck you. I don't care about your orders or your business. We'll happily refund your money because we have more masochistic suckers lined up to fill the vacuum of your refund."

And you are the COO of Butterfly Labs ?

 Am I far off ?
3919  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 05, 2013, 06:49:50 PM
Is the price of 1 unit locked @ 2BTC static, independent of fiat/USD exchange value vs BTC ?

3920  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Wafer Broke? on: May 05, 2013, 06:38:46 PM
I think getting the press to shine the light on the dark shadowy corners of BFL will reveal some interesting truths that BFL does not want the public to know.
Whether or not they actually ever deliver a device is beside the point. All of the inexcusable delays and promises that were broken on many levels warrants a press/media outlet to waltz over to BFL and bring their camera crew.

Whatever you do, DO NOT chant the name "Adrian Chen" three times in a row.
