Xian (Edit · Delete) 05-01-2013 03:56 PM So Josh, when are you going to pay the 1000 BTC bet for not meeting 1W/Ghash ? Or are you waiting until you guys get down to 1W/Ghash until you tell everyone to go fuck themselves and say "I TOLD YOU SO!!!" ?
BFL_Josh - 05-01-2013 03:58 PM Xian: Your trolling pisses me off, but to answer your question, as soon as we get time to take care of it, we will. It's not like we aren't already overworked and it's not exactly a high priority at the moment... however, if you have an order, let me know what it is and I will be sure to put yours on hold when we get to it and work dilligently on the donation thing before we get back to yours.
Xian (Edit · Delete) 05-01-2013 03:58 PM BFL_Josh: Hey, thanks for threatening your customers ! I appreciate it !
Xian silenced successfully. BFL_Josh - 05-01-2013 03:59 PM No problem, thanks for being an annoying troll.
BFL_Josh - Shout 05-01-2013 03:59 PM Xian silenced successfully.
Lol, while I totally relate to Xian's position, and I generally get the vibe that Josh is a total scam artist; I did like him in this parlay.

Since when did customers care more about a donation than getting their order out the door? I don't get it. I'm not defending the guy or BFL but what's the point about it? Are you saying you'd rather have the donation fulfilled before any orders ship out?

Does one necessarily exclude the other?
Inaba has time, he simply does not use it effectively.
In the time it takes him to type up "cocksucker" he can pull up google. In the time it takes to call someone an asshole (such as above) in a shoutbox, he can google a charity. In the time it takes for him to login to BitCoinTalk, he can certainly donate 1000BTC to a charity. (Plus that other 1000BTC he lost in a bet....or that other bet he made against somoene...who was it? Micon was almost pulled in for a 240BTC bet wasn't it? What about the time he almost got someone to agree to a 500BTC bet? I forget the name.... Anyway, you get the pattern)

I'd rather he stop making excuses, show some humility, and stop taunting us with such pompous braggadocio whilst having thousands of our dollars in his coffers worth of preorders.

He is an arrogant asshole. A bit of a scammer. Stupid is the word he uses the most. Don't know how anything can be called "stupid" and left at that. Nothing is without reason, so maybe he is struggling with his own sense of stupidity, while trying to save his position/company?

I am from TNPCC The National Poutine Council of Canada. We at the Council do not appreciate you people making references to Poutine,, (Canada's National food) and this BFL company. We do not know who they are but we are sure that they do not have the moral fiber that is required to be put in too the same thread as the worlds best food for putting the winter fat on that all Canadians need to survive the winter in there Igloos. We demand this thread be rewritten or deleted from the history books entirely so we can all forget this travesty.

So u wrote a bit of code with the help of another ..big friggen woop ... i write code every day hoopsnake and is currerntly part of the banking system that operates in oz ...u dont see me lording around the forums like gods gift to mankind
Oh and btw "I prefer waffles over wafers" ...gotta stay on topic ...lol
Sigh, which bank? So I can stay away from that one. Most banking systems are crap. I'm not sure why you'd vaguely associate yourself with code used at a bank, that's like admitting defeat already. Hmm what's the biggest project I've written? I myself redesigned and wrote most of the whole system Optus used to store and lookup their bills in the 90's 10 second response time for 7 years worth of history - they were quite happy about that back then since it was beyond anything anyone else at any other telecom/bank had. Their CSR's were also very happy with it - the end users. However, that, of course, has no effect on what I do now. Different systems. Though, something I did learn back then (as the Project Leader ... and on most parts of it, the whole project team) was that the world is full of people who think they can program, who can even produce code. But hell, many of them are useless.

That is why every genius programer has a bugtracker. Because they were too lazy to write it correctly the first time. Oh, wait, that would be a prodigy....

Wouldn't it be interesting if Kano and Josh came up with a secret plan to infiltrate computers and get wallet data?
I could totally see that happening.

Seriously though BFL is certainly playing fast and loose with the truth YET AGAIN. Someone should call 60 Minutes and let them do an expose or the local news to have someone bust these guys. They need to be shamed into doing the right thing for their customers it is obvious they do not care and will take every advantage to screw over their customers. Better Business Bureau anyone? https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint/How do we handle your complaint? Everything you submit will be forwarded to the business within two business days. The business will be asked to respond within 14 days, and if a response is not received, a second request will be made. You will be notified of the business’s response when we receive it (or notified that we received no response). Complaints are usually closed within 30 business days. https://cbbb.wufoo.com/forms/report-a-scam/Spot a business or offer that sounds like a scam? Tell us about it. Help us investigate and warn others by reporting what you know. Please provide as much information as you can.

" doing the right thing for their customers" Well, considering the only thing that most people will be happy with is them delivering their SC line of products, I (yet again) don't understand the given line of thinking. Clearly sending 60 minutes (though I highly doubt 60 minutes would give a damn) will certainly not speed up that process in any way. ... and again ... anyone who had an order with them had the direct option to cancel it the other day on their account.

But what would they bitch about if they had. Once BFL starts getting up to speed on shipping I fully expect to see a "BFL SCAMMED ME INTO CANCELLING MY ORDER" thread.

Kano,
I think getting the press to shine the light on the dark shadowy corners of BFL will reveal some interesting truths that BFL does not want the public to know.
Whether or not they actually ever deliver a device is beside the point. All of the inexcusable delays and promises that were broken on many levels warrants a press/media outlet to waltz over to BFL and bring their camera crew.

Have to agree. BFL should be accountable for both words and actions. If the actions (building a 65nm Bitcoin hashing device) are hard - that's one thing. Words. Lies. Willful misrepresentation? That's another.
