3901  Economy / Economics / Re: why should bitcoin! on: January 16, 2018, 04:24:26 PM
because all these altcoins that are being created non-stop are not good projects. they are mostly shitty projects (hence the name "shitcoin") with nothing to offer and the rest of them also struggle with many issues which prevents them from gaining any real adoption and staying 100% speculative tool for traders to play around with.
3902  Economy / Speculation / Re: January Bitcoin on: January 16, 2018, 04:18:23 PM
This is the first year that China is almost fully irrelevant is it not? It may not behave in the same way this time. Or it could be down to general human biocycles. Let us see what April/May ish brings.

well Lunar New Year is not specific to China. many of the Asian countries celebrate it. including China, Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore,...

and it also happens to be in first month of the year (in a Gregorian calendar) and that can mean a slower market anyways.
3903  Economy / Speculation / January Bitcoin on: January 16, 2018, 03:45:28 PM
(i found this interesting and i didn't see anyone talking about it so here it goes)

every year in the past 4 years bitcoin price has a big drop about 3 weeks before Chinese New Yet (Lunar year) and we are at that point in time (4 weeks) and the sell off has started today.

so... what do you think?
3904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China will ban BTC exhangers for good on: January 16, 2018, 03:39:09 PM
awesome news. the sooner the better.

the (blank) country banned bitcoin is starting to become the dumbest news that we read these days. every day we read about a new country. and it is sometimes so severe that the government makes an statement saying we never had any intentions of that sorts!!!
and it needs to stop one way or another. preferably with them finally banning it for real not just talk about it so we can get on with our lives and give them the middle finger they deserve and continue using bitcoin.

korea , indonoesia , now china , who next want to see bitcoin blooding
India   Grin

at some point we are going to run out of country names that we can say "banned bitcoin".
3905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global crypto market down - what may be the reason? on: January 16, 2018, 03:30:54 PM
well bitcoin started going down and whenever that happens altcoins, without any hesitation, start their dumping. and that part doesn't really need any reasons to happen. it just happens.

and as for bitcoin, as you may have guessed already from this board and the "internet", there is a lot of FUD about banning bitcoin again circulating the media.
and it baffles me that people still care about what the government says about the "decentralized market"!
3906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will direct peer-to-peer Bitcoin transactions be possible in future? on: January 16, 2018, 03:24:26 PM
bitcoin transactions have always been peer to peer and without any exchange or any middle man in the process.

even now exchanges are not required to make a bitcoin transaction. they are not even needed when you want to buy and sell bitcoin. it is just more convenient to use them sometimes to do the trades faster and easier.
3907  Economy / Speculation / Re: opinions on downward trend on: January 15, 2018, 06:10:25 PM
When bitcoin price is going in a downward trend what's the best way to weather the storm?

you only have only 2 clear options.
1. hold
2. sell before the bottom and go to fiat

obviously if you are a trader then option #2 is for you. but you should make sure to sell soon because every second that passes it becomes late to sell and if you sell late you will be the last one out who got dumped on Wink

Quote
Buy alt coins?

this is a terrible choice because history has proven that altcoins have a tendency to get dumped each time bitcoin goes down.
3908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price and Alt coin on: January 15, 2018, 05:46:31 PM
I'm starting to believe that this year would gonna be the year for all altcoins Wink
Let's just be happy about the current price of bitcoin, even if it's down there's still a price in it. Still a valuable assets, although not increasing but maybe we can see an increase but not so huge.
Fully agree with you about this. But if all money come to Altcoin, what will happen with Bitcoin price Huh

take a look at the charts and you will see what happened to bitcoin price!

when bitcoin stops rising and also finished with its big drop, that is when the altcoin rises begin. if you see the chart, when the chart turns into a (nearly) horizontal line the massive altcoin pumps begin and each time bitcoin goes out of "horizontal-mode" then altcoins are abandoned for bitcoin once again.
3909  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit withdraw high fee on: January 15, 2018, 04:57:06 PM
Yobit is one of those sites that has the weirdest wallets in my opinion. most of the altcoins there are in maintenance for eternity! and the rest that aren't may not have any payable balance, so when you make a withdrawal it may get stuck for over a week.

as for fees, Doge fees are nothing. check out BCC(bitcoin cash) fees. it is 0.01 BCC which is $27!
3910  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Confused about adding profits/total investment amount to new coin on: January 15, 2018, 04:34:47 PM
well, this depends on you and the risks you want to take.
right now you are at a crossroad needing to choose one of these strategies:
1. you keep your invested amount to a fixed number $2000 for example and whenever you make any profit, you take that profit out and keep the same fixed amount in.
this is not a bad idea, specially if you have just started trading.

2. you feel confident and a little bit greedy so when you make a profit you add that profit to your total invested amount so you have a bigger capital and make bigger profit but also you will be taking a bigger risk and the possible losses will be bigger also.
this can be a good thing too, investing the profit back in is a common strategy but remember not to invest more than you can afford to lose.

3. something in between! meaning take some profit out and keep some in. if for example you started with $2000 and made $1000 profit, take $500 out and keep the rest in making your capital $2500.
make sure to check the fees for withdrawing fiat.
3911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to invest $ 100 to earn 50% in a week, in which currency to invest? on: January 14, 2018, 05:32:47 PM
unlike what the other comment said, earning 50% profit in one week is not hard at all. in fact it is pretty common to make that much, even bigger amounts. for example Ardor went up more than 70% in the past 7 days! (just an example).

the thing is, you have to learn to be able to find these coins yourself. because by the time you ask someone else it is already too late and even if you ask them, you can never trust what others tell you. everyone is biased when they are giving investment advice.
3912  Economy / Exchanges / Re: DO YOU ALSO EXPERIENCE THIS ON BINANCE on: January 14, 2018, 04:52:26 PM
it is most probably a socket problem thing. if i am not mistaken when you visit these exchanges there is an open socket with them which is receiving lots of data constantly. when you visit a page (like the BTC/ETH market) which is more active and have deeper orderbooks, you are receiving a lot more data constantly updating charts, orderbooks, history, and even other coin's prices,... that takes a lot of your bandwidth and if your computer is slow (like having low ram) it will be more obvious.

some exchanges add an option to limit the rate this is updated. unfortunately i don't see it on binance.

thanks, when i try to trade using my phone its not lagging on eth / btc, but my phone has a low specs just 1.2 ghz processor and 1.5 ram, so its basically not my laptop ( thats what i think my laptop has 2.5 ghz and 8gb ram). what exchanges are you using sir???

it may be because on your phone they automatically detect it is a phone and reduce the load. (just a guess though).

i am not currently trading much. but i used to use Bittrex but when they scammed people i got the hell out to binance and cryptopia. have experienced what was explained here on all exchanges so far, that is why i know what is causing it...
3913  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What wrong on exchanger HITBTC ? on: January 14, 2018, 04:43:32 PM
most exchanges these days are experiencing a lot of problems due to increased traffic to their websites and their servers are not designed to handle this much traffic. your problem most probably can be because of this if not because of your slow internet connection.

try a faster connection or try another browser. for example if you are on Chrome then use Firefox and see what happens.
3914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Chinese BTC miners decimate price? on: January 14, 2018, 04:11:53 PM
BTC on GDAX went from a bit over 16K yesterday to an even $14K in the last hour.
it is because their site was having some troubles yesterday. they even stopped all payments.

sounds more like FUD to me than real thing. specially whenever i hear the words "leaked" and "hidden sources" this is the case.

in any case i hope they do that. you see China has always been used as the main source of all FUDs for years. they closed exchanges the first time, fake volume vanished and with it a big part of FUD. they closed exchanges the second time and a lot of other FUD went out the window. if they do something about mining, it will close down a whole lot of other FUD for good. specially since they have been saying bitcoin is centralized because a lot of hashrate comes from China!!!

better take the hit one time and be done with it instead of tolerating bullshit FUD every couple of weeks.
3915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who knows? When is Bitcoin growing? on: January 14, 2018, 04:04:36 PM
the beginning of the year, which is January is not exactly the most active time of year. maybe because it is new year and people are off doing other stuff and not thinking about investing,... but for whatever reason there are usually not much activity around this time of year so it is expected for bitcoin to not have any major rise now.

with that said if you look at the volume, it is still pretty healthy and large enough showing accumulation is still going on. so you can expect a nice rally pretty soon.
3916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Red Market on: January 14, 2018, 03:55:11 PM
market has to take a rest sometime too Wink
and right now traders are getting out to go back to their lives. solid coins like bitcoin are holding up though because there is always more demand for bitcoin. but the altcoins always get pumped then take a lot of victims who lose money then the market gets empty of them for a while before they feel strong again to invest and lose some more money.
3917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I ? on: January 14, 2018, 03:48:49 PM
at times ethereum is a good investment but those times don't last for long and the pump of it comes to an end each time. that is the problem with a coin that has no real world usage. and right now it is being pumped mostly because of all the ICOs and secondly because of all the newbies coming in.

bitcoin has the real world usage and that is why the long term is always for bitcoin. and as for security nothing can beat bitcoin.
3918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥While you can't prove Roger Ver is simply a greedy person I can prove BCH >BTC on: January 13, 2018, 04:39:12 PM
Bitcoin Cash is digging their own grave and it is fun to watch it. We can just warn people not to fall in the same hole.  Grin

the problem is that there are no graves right now. as i said before bitcoin's blockchain size is currently 20-21 GB bigger than bitcoin cash blockchain size and this is while BCH is 8716 blocks ahead of bitcoin!!!

in other words nobody is using it...
and this is the hot advertising technique of these days. every altcoin out there is saying "we have low fees" and since nobody is using their chains at all their blocks are empty so their fees are low. and whenever by a miracle some of them gains some popularity their fees go to the moon faster than bitcoin! example ethereum reaching $4.5 fee per tx even with having 13 second blocks!
3919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happend if total capital market of cryptocurrency reach $ 1T on: January 13, 2018, 04:30:37 PM
nothing will happen.

but hopefully as this magical number grows too big more people understand how fake it is. specially when someone creates 100 billion tokens out of thin air and that adds 100 billion dollar to total market cap if it is worth only $1 per useless token.
3920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥While you can't prove Roger Ver is simply a greedy person I can prove BCH >BTC on: January 13, 2018, 03:12:34 PM
the thing you will continue to fail to understand is that 1 MB being bad, mempool being big, fees being high, and 1000 other things will never make bitcoin cash a good thing.

it is still a centralized fork controlled by a certain group of people with lots of money and mining power who chose "8 MB" instead of a more logical approach to pump it easier while making it impossible to spam attack it while they are pumping it for about a year. and meanwhile bitcoin blockchain with 1 MB blocks is still 20 GB bigger than BCH blockchain!!!
Bitcoin Cash have more than 6 independent developer teams while Bitcoin Legacy just have the Core developers paid by Blockstream(very close to bankers).
I already explained why  Bitcoin Cash is decentralized but the problem is you guys are angry because your portfolio/wealth is threatened by Bitcoin Cash. You don't care about decentralization. Be honest.

fuck blockstream and any bitcoin core developer that is being paid by them. but that still doesn't make bitcoin cash any better.

also my portfolio/wealth was increased tremendously thanks to bitcoin cash, but that too doesn't make bitcoin cash good.
