3901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get VIP Signals? on: December 11, 2020, 06:23:02 AM
As far as I know, If Somebody want Trade with VIP Signal, then need Paid membership from VIP signal Group. It Maybe telegram group or others social media platform.  Becouse without any paid Membership you cant get any type Crypto Signal.
And that paid membership is a scam always. It is so simple to set up such a group and say that you are giving signals and other bullshit because there is no way for the member of verify the claim. Like a blind dog, they will follow the signals and buy/sell some shitcoin while the owners of the group use this to dump/buy some coins. Most of the times these things go in opposite so the owners actually make a lot of money by such manipulated pump and dumps or just plain selling memberships to bamboozled noobs for man-made "signals"

If you dont believe me, you dont have to, try it yourself and see what is true. They always have their defense that trading is extremely risky and you may lose - but of course they will tempt you with 100x profits or something to make sure you buy their koolaid. Wink
3902  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: December 10, 2020, 08:33:53 AM
Bullish will come again if Bitcoin price breaks $ 20k, and reaches a new all-time high,
and bearish if bitcoin price breaks down to $ 16k and makes altcoins bleed again.
So what you mean to say is that the activity of traders does not reduce with time or price. Since we now have bots to run trades based on algorithms, we see continuous action on orderbooks.

Saturation like I have said previously in this thread, is a myth and mostly a biased opinion. But in terms of crypto market the word can have some signnificant meanings - for example, the services that altcoins provide, they get saturated. Talking about how many lending pool apps we have now, more than 4/5 apps are there and another couple of them failed.

Gaming/gaming currency related apps which launched their tokens followed similarly. All sadly dropped prices like anything with the lack in hype with time.
3903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash doomed to failure? on: December 10, 2020, 08:26:28 AM
Just like in this world we have people who get divided based on personal opinions and shaping the world history based on own beliefs, similarly this cryptocurrency sector has seen these as "forks" - does not mean one is going to fail or succeed. It becomes a matter of perspective.

Someone can say that price becoming very low is a marker of failure - you can accept or not accept that but of course the bullish lacking on that asset shows that lack of interest in it and therefore can be considered as a subjective marker only.

A developer being fired does not mean a project would fail. Someone will be hired again. Devs work for money - thats it. If they dont get paid, they will leave the project.

I myself have never been a fan of forks from bitcoin. But there many people who believe in them. I have nothing to say for them but to think differently and not to drown in their own misgivings but move on.
3904  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much HODLing stealing opportunities? on: December 10, 2020, 08:22:00 AM
yes indeed, because if you hold only one coin, it is just a waste of time,
you have to put a lot of coins in your portfolio, and wait for the price to reach the target.
Holding bitcoin is not a wrong thing to do. The logic is very simple, bitcoin is the only coin that is being useful in the shops as a first choice for places where it is somewhat legally tradeable. Next the altcoins are all based as copy-cats for bitcoin and their basis of pumping is "second" or "third" to bitcoin - with a delusional belief on it becoming the next bitcoin - we all know that never happens.

Hence you may wish to hold other coins too but that is a personal choice for being bullish on something other than bitcoin. Someone may be bullish on something from a different sector too - dont waste money on altcoins then, move to the other traditional markets.

"Stealing opportunities" - disagree to this. These markets are based on speculation and there are several opportunities. We must admit that we often fail to recognize them.
3905  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Offers Tokenized Stocks on: December 08, 2020, 02:22:08 PM
Only if the exchange offering such a service would be available for the country where I would be residing at that time. Like I can trade stocks and shares of companies based on my country already and I do wish to buy stocks of companies based on other countries - traditional fiat based system for this is very costly and therefore less feasible for the average Joe.

Now if we see crypto being used as middle-ware for such trades this might bring in some new blood into the picture and greater usage of the same.

However only time will tell how they care of disputes and problems associated with such an exchange system. Currently they are going for the biggest names in the American market but not the ones of the Dow-Jones Industrial Average. This might improve in future.

Also these token-stocks are not like owning real stocks. The corporate actions section of the FAQ is telling us about them and that people will get dividends for them.

My guess would be that bittrex is having a representative account to make all these trades for its users from the Fiat Stock exchange and lock them up as tokens for the user.

Definitely would like to see how this unfolds.
3906  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EXECUTION of crypto arbitrage? on: December 08, 2020, 02:03:33 PM
I appreciate your CV here, but honestly the chance of doing arb anymore has reduced. Previously traders were getting more than 2% +/- on separate exchanges and doing arb to get a good profit off the price differences. I am not saying that it is completely gone but has reduced a lot now.

By tech development I believe you are looking to develop some arb bots for this matter? Or looking for funding as to get a patron to try this arb bots?

Either way you would be better off building your bot and using it yourself, because majority of these bots that you guys "develop" are not worth using anymore on these markets. But good luck making some profit on the same.
3907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lame use cases on: December 08, 2020, 07:04:42 AM
Is there a chance for food blockchain projects in crypto space?
Possibly some projects did that in the past.

Quote
To me it feels ridiculous, why would a developer decide to build a food blockchain project when they can just implement popular coins as means of payment in their store, why creating tokens for this purpose?
See when the crypto hype was bubbling away like anything, almost everything in the world was being made into a tokenised system. During that time people thought that this was the end of mainstream markets and rise of crypto to the maximum, alas that bubble ended nicely for the owners of such projects but horribly for its investors.

The back concept is that the owners used the hype of launch the project and its tokens, the advisors and the devs sold off their tokens at a profit and then left the project - the ones who lost their money are the investors but they cannot legally do anything about it either.

Not just food but almost everything was being "developed" (<read vaporware) at that time in crypto tokens. End of the day the fact that matters is that altcoins never make it to a profit, but bitcoin is always going to be big. So buy bitcoin!
3908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My experience about APY% and lending/ earning on CEFI vs DEFI on: December 08, 2020, 06:58:07 AM
Appreciate the fact that you created a comparison of these lending pools but honestly speaking, they are shady as anything.

The reason I say this, is because I have deeply probed some of the companies about the loan originators and they are often not clearing up this question. Many times I suspect these loans to be self-made/non-existant from where you are getting money at the moment but very soon going to end up like another ponzi scheme.

P2P lending is one thing but as soon a business comes in between them the legitimacy of the platform becomes grey. If you are the lender and you are directly lending to borrowers, then I would feel much more comfortable.

Now there are pros and cons to both. If you think they are good, then go for them - put your money there and good luck making some back.
3909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Jason File not working on: December 08, 2020, 06:54:21 AM
With the JSON, you need the password if its encrypted to unlock the wallet. Your statements are too vague to come to any conclusion as to what happened on your side.

MEW allows the JSON to be uploaded and the password opened to access the wallet - although this is the least secure methods. Metamask needs you to do something else than just this.

I got my Ethereum but after some days my Metamask was crashed. I don't know why and there was a fix/repair option on it. I tried to click the repair option but unfortunately, My Metamask restarted and everything was deleted. I tried to use same JASON File but didn't work and my Ethereum went lost.
Makes no sense to me, it might be something new that happened to you because I have never heard anything similar or my facts are lacking.

Possible that you might have installed a rogue version of metamask (??) - do provide more information as to whether you downloaded the correct metamask extension and your ethereum wallet address to check on the money.
3910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 07, 2020, 06:22:58 AM
It's like that stupid (I call it stupid even though I used it lmao) strategies of examinees in a multiple-choice exam. If you had a question with no answer, and the past few answers were all C, the chances of it being C is less unlikely, according to your bs reasoning pulled up from who knows where.
For competitive exams though those who are doing that have no chance of clearing the lowest cutoffs. Cheesy

It is indeed reasonable to correlate it to gambling, since most people new to gambling have that mindset. Unfortunately for them, the chances of winning DO NOT accumulate, they reset with each try, with each game, with each cycle.
Many gamblers actually think that a number of red rolls means the next has higher chance of going green. I tell them every roll is independent of the previous rolls but they dont seem be believe me. The math is correct and correlates with reality but they follow what they think is correct.  End result being huge losses.

Quote
It isn't like pity in gacha games where after x amount of rolls, you get a guaranteed character.
The stock of balls in gacha is limited so if you keep on pounding that machine with coins eventually you will drain its stock so you get what you wanted. You would also spend a lot there, but its better in my opinion than plain gambling - at least in gachapons you get something to keep.

I do not think that it has anything to do with luck, the casinos just mask the word probability to deter doubts from casino players. You said it already, the possibility to win is mathematically which cancels out the involvement of luck, sure we consider it luck but have we ever consider the definition of luck or consider its existence. If gamblers think logically then luck is not their go to for reliance when playing.
If and only if gamblers would think logically, they would stop gambling altogether. I mean logically they are going to lose more than win - which diligent person would spend another second on such a place? Grin
3911  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (Worldwide) scammed me for 0.51873796 BTC on: December 07, 2020, 06:13:16 AM
The accused account has been tagged and flag supported. Their BS retaliatory flags have been opposed as well because they are lacking evidence of the same "Late Hero" is name calling and that does not count as evidence.

@wetsuit you are an old member of this forum, I understand you dealt with the accused previously but such deals are always risky. Possibility of a hacked account can also not be ruled out since the long inactivity but as hindsight it would have helped if you moved to some other members with better trust ratings instead of sticking to the same user. I know that is tough to do because it is human habit.

Seeing the retaliatory ratings from the accused I dont expect them to come clean on this.

OP might remember me as one of the first users who declared the 1000$ roll on freebitco.in in this forum. Might help brighten your day at least.
3912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC for bounty hunters on: December 07, 2020, 06:07:10 AM
I think it is not really necessary, for KYC i think only necessary for the big investors who still look at bounty, there are not many projects that bring a lot of money for the hunter, the BMs will be able to afford. The ability to evaluate this depends on the requirements of the project but i think KYC for hunter is unnecessary as there are now many people using fake KYC to join bounty.
Eh, are you aware that many bounty hunters are using more than one accounts to spam the bounties and defraud the team? They are not only but taking away the payout that could have been given to someone else. Therefore a idea of enforcing KYC on bounty hunters came into view and many bounty management services were going for that in order to release the tokens or otherwise forfeit them back.

Point is that this lead to another problem - the hunters claimed that KYC was being misused and therefore should not be enforced.

Honestly speaking it ends up being a mess, we have supporters of no-KYC bounty participants citing the reason to be identity theft and we have pro-kyc bounty participants who want the cheater hunters to get exposed and ousted from the community.
3913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 06, 2020, 05:51:05 AM
On reading the OP, I am reminded of The gamblers fallacy as something similar to this in a broader perspective.

The gambler thinks that they are going to win on the next game but that next game never happens to be a win. Possibility of a win is there mathematically but in reality it is just luck when you are playing against the odds that is an EV- game.

Hence I think every gambler should think logically which many of them cant do anymore and limit the amount of bankroll being spent.
3914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there a place to trade cryptocurencies for free without commision fees on: December 06, 2020, 05:42:27 AM
or really low fees? i used coinbase but im not buying enough coins to really make it worth he cost of the transaction fee. there use to be crytopia not sure what happened to it but anyways is therre a place i can trade cryptos for free like they do with stocks and such
Cryptopia is gone now. How? Search for it and know more if you wish to.

Back to your question, you cannot trade without fees. The exchange will make some profit off the customers and thats why they are running the business. They would not be running it if they were doing things for free - use your common sense here.

So a legitimate exchange will ask for fees. Now you might want to check out every other exchange that allows people from your country to see which one has lowest fees and which one is working best for you, not all of them will.

For low volume transaction users, fees will always be a problem though. You have to accept it and continue.
3915  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Tapsgame Casino using fake team member photos! on: December 05, 2020, 07:57:41 AM
Using filters to change the images slightly and stopping the reverse image searching method is now being used by many scammers. Like I previously said, scammers and anti-scammers are like cat and mouse game.

While anti-scammers will attempt to take down scammers, the later will try to evade them by such methods. It is also sad to see how some people think that they are going to use digital methods which were never made for the purpose of stealing money to alter stuff so that it helps them steal money.

Flag supported from my side.
3916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why do people invest in DeFi tokens with unaudited smart contracts? on: December 05, 2020, 07:48:25 AM
It's like the IEO days. So what is projects were vetted by Binance or Bittrex? They ended up being shit anyway:)
A good observation indeed.

IEOs used the tagline "we are launching on this exchange" - as if being launched there would mean they are legit and are going to become huge. Some exchanges even started something called "launchpad" - all this "launching" made me laugh hard at the basic lacking in each and every crypto project that is intrinsic market making method or demand.

Unless you can create a market for that token where it can be used to deliver some service which no other token can, you are basically doomed in this sector.

Audit or no audit, the final product or its implementation does not depend on auditing. Auditing checked out some flaws or possible exploits but that is only one part of a big game.
3917  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need to topup my mobile phone using crypto on: December 04, 2020, 10:26:56 AM
Bitrefill is a good option for this purpose. They have a big catalogue of services that can be bought with crypto as gift cards which are non-transferable.

Not just mobile recharges but also Uber vouchers, shopping store vouchers and many more, I cannot list everything here so check it out.

Make sure your country is supported by them, most countries are though.

3918  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best video resources for learning to trade? on: December 04, 2020, 06:11:26 AM
Are there any good video courses on technical analysis for example?
Some users have suggested some videos in the above post so I am not going to repeat the same.

However me being an old skool person, always prefers to read more than watch. There are old and renowned books on stock market and technical analysis which you can read and get a glimpse of who the system works. I am stressing on reading stuff related to stock market first because a background in the same will help you a lot when entering crypto trading.

Most crypto youtube channels are going to shill altcoins, not bitcoin - so you need to be immune to that koolaid.

Other than that, try dummy trading at home and see how it goes. Remember that you can still make money without doing TA if you are going for a long term hodl. Watch the charts and buy at low - sell at high in a few years.
3919  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BNB Mahnet - Ponzi scheme on: December 04, 2020, 06:04:13 AM
They are trying to encash the hype that BNB has created all this while. If we check the BNB charts then during the bear season before this year and early this year, we will see how nicely BNB was increasing in price, notable moving from 10$/BNB to 20$/BNB and further. People used to speculate this to be a hyip/ponzi going on but that is a different story altogether.

Whether the original project of BNB was a hyip in disguise or not remains questioned because it was done by Binance, these guys come up with yet another method to use that hype and start a new scam.

I hope any bamboozled shill reading this will understand that the accusation is legitimate and possibly a scam and they should be careful where they are putting their money in.
3920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why do people invest in DeFi tokens with unaudited smart contracts? on: December 04, 2020, 06:00:03 AM
DeFi Hype season, anything can think of after. No need to know the project background and its potential in detail. As long as people talked about it a lot, the defi project would definitely produce results. Anyone can assume that of the many people who are enthusiastic about a defi project, some of them must have done research.
A lot of unscrupulous PR goes into it too. Nobody to regulate it or put up fines on companies for predatory tactics unlike in the fiat based system. It has been one of the bad things in this sector but you can avoid it if you are keeping your focus only on bitcoin and no other shitcoin and follow this policy strictly.

But for those who are looking to make some quick cash they will go for shady projects like all the DeFi projects coming up and thus hype it all up to a point where they can sell and exit the scheme nicely and the newer investors are stuck.

The only way to end this is to stop going for anything that gets hyped.
