3901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: March 06, 2020, 09:33:49 AM
If this happens to typical gambling, I don't see why it won't be tried on cryptocurrency trading Does this happen in real life in countries? I guess you only get receipts for big purchases (especially where I live). Besides, the small purchase are normally taxed indirectly.
I prefer the indirect tax, by the way. I don't think it's a good idea to keep track in such way of things we purchase in both physical and online worlds. It should be based on choices.
3902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 06, 2020, 08:54:43 AM
Good job.
This could be used as guide by the under age on this forum who are not qualified.
I guess online casinos should include it during signup so that alot of those who aren't qualify don't bother to try when they see the requirements. It should be clearly visible on the screen, and people should probably be made to tick yes/no when question on age is asked.

I wonder how accurate the Wikipedia age restriction is currently.
3903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Affiliates - starting point on: March 06, 2020, 08:36:19 AM
Interesting. So you basically want the customers you bring to casinos to continue to earn you some income with well designed affiliate system and good game. Well, I hope this is for good skill-based gambling your affiliates are good at, so they don't get stuck in loses while you are earning from the loses... unless you are only hoping to earn one time from each affiliate, which is safer in my opinion.
3904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts on XRP on: March 06, 2020, 08:16:30 AM
As long as the coin is not marketed as "decentralized"... so people who joined this space for its unique decentralized features, don't use centralized stuff and expose themselves to the risk of centralization they are trying to avoid. By the way, why use Crypto-based smart contract as a centralized cryptocurrency, when you could easily build a centralized non-crypto business and add features similar to crypto smart contract.  Guess they prefer building in this space due to the benefits of using Blockchain. Some even use private Blockchains. Well, I will always stick to truly decentralized public Blockchain. It's truely transparent, immutable, decentralized, anonymous (if you want), safe, etc
3905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indiscipline and Greed on: March 06, 2020, 07:35:06 AM
That is your weak control of your emotion that is at play when you are  Indiscipline and Greedy.
As you try to invest or trade, you go with the planning first, then next stage is implementation, then you just follow the plan,  if you can't that means you follow your emotion and that would certainly lead you to loses.

Agreed.
Planning is really important in Crypto trading. You first of all think things through, develop strategies and apply the best ones to your trades. It is important to consider how much profit is enough, when to enter the market and where to apply your stop lose. If you properly consider this things, you will realize that small regular profits are safer than aiming for big ones. You could still aim for big profits if you are sure of your yourself. Not recommended for inexperienced traders though.
3906  Other / Off-topic / Re: Benefits of drinking hot water on: March 06, 2020, 07:11:20 AM
Water is really great, it's better to push away soda drinks, because they are devastating to your organs after years. But I can't imagine drinking hot water - it's disgusting for me, i can't enjoy it at all.
True. You probably should try it for awhile, and you will get used to it. It shouldn't be "hot", just warm (not too warm) is fine.
The most important thing is the benefits you derived from doing it. Besides, the benefits far outweighs any risk it may pose, as far as I can tell.
Lots of healthy/good foods, drinks or things don't taste so good from my experience. while those that taste so good tend to be bad for our health.
We only have to get used to taking the good ones for the sake of our health.
Wish you all the best.
3907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 05, 2020, 04:10:26 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.

You probably should have sold some of your coin when it touched 65 or 70. . and sell a bit more when it moved up further. If it moves down instead, you buy more, expecting that it will move up again, to enable you sell and make some profits.
I actually prefer buying/selling little by little rather than buying/selling everything at once.
3908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season question on: March 05, 2020, 02:33:11 PM
It's actually possible.
In my opinion, one of the ways to get your coin price move independently is to avoid many of the current "global" exchanges and just focus on your ecosystem, which should be made of mostly decentralized businesses, DEXes, marketplaces, social media, insurances, etc ... but this won't be that easy.
You'll need to be somewhat "independent" of the entire crypto trading space. You need to make your ecosystem very secure, very useful, decentralized, fast, easy to use, etc for both wealthy and regular users to invest, feel very safe and store their coins in...  Your coin will most likely do very well (as long as funds keep flowing in, probably through advertisements, and other means of promotion). If this is done, your coin price growth could even overwhelm external/internal manipulations.

3909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need of the hour on: March 05, 2020, 10:51:39 AM
I think a good rating system will sort most of the problems out. If we have things like that, and it's very effective, fast, with little to no biases, it will help many sites list those with reasonable scores and avoid the scams. And it will also help investors avoid scams.
Developing crypto projects will remain permissionless/trustless, but only the sounds, decentralized, useful, safe projects will be more visible in Crypto/decentralized communities.
3910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Compulsive gambling. on: March 05, 2020, 09:59:27 AM
Gambling addiction and compulsive gambling are serious problems in our days indeed. People literally lose their lives by giving themselves away to the vice of gambling.
Now don't get me wrong, gambling is not a vice for the regular people, but a form of entertainment. If you get it to extremes it will grow a vicious cycle that is most of the times paired with drinking and becoming aggressive.
Even if you get to a professional it won't help you much if you don't have the will to fight the addiction and become a better man.
Indeed, all things depend on the person. If he considers gambling as entertainment only, then it is good. Gambling is entertaining, especially those gambling games that require your skills because it has a thrill for me. The gambling only becomes terrible on you if you are really addicted to it. If you are not doing things aside from betting, it makes you so unproductive. Even your health is also affected by it. You may lose weight on it because of the skipping game especially if you are focused on the game. Gambling also affects your mental health or can be called as compulsive gambling, if you cannot control yourself from betting, that's the time that you can now tell yourself that you are compulsive gambling, do not let your self to be like that because it will destroy your life, it will ruin your relationship on your family, friends, partners, and people around you.

Make gambling only as a form of game or entertainment, do not make it as your life, you can play anytime but make sure that it won't affect your life as a right person.

If you take stuff  like drug to be happy, there is a high chances of you getting addicted to it especially when things aren't going well for you. This is likely what gambling for entertainment would do to someone, (assumming people want the entertainment in order to be happy). You will probably become attached to the gambling when you seek happiness. This is why it important to be skillful in what you do, get rewards from it,  it benefits others too, you enjoy doing it, you stay long doing it and it produces more rewards for you and others. Putting to much time/money on things that do not benefit others, and probably you is kind of a waste and an addiction.

3911  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can AI predict your future? on: March 05, 2020, 07:54:22 AM
It can, without mistakes, If it knows everything. Fortunately it won't know everything, and will make frequent mistakes. There are lots of things it can't know: one of the most important is what is going on in the brain of humans. It can easily be "gamed" by lots of people
3912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Did Binance just help Justin Sun take over the Steem network? on: March 05, 2020, 07:26:29 AM
If your cryptocoin is a proof of stake or delegated proof of stake coin, I reckon that you should withdraw them from the exchanges....

But eight days ago, the community voted in favor of a soft-fork that would prevent Sun from accessing these tokens until he provided more detail about his plans for Steemit.

Interesting..
I think this is what should have done before the takeover of Steemit. I wonder if the takeover was hastily done, no involvement of the community, no communication, no agreement with the community etc? Well, I guess lessons have been learned. A truely decentralized platform shouldn't be that easy to takeover without the input of all/most stakeholders.
3913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HTC to release a blockchain router to let users run a full bitcoin node at home on: March 05, 2020, 04:27:58 AM
Better to trust Open Source hardware and software built mostly for the decentralized world. That is what the community should be seriously aiming for now.
So don't be too complacent and let your security/privacy guard down if you must buy and use this phone/device.
3914  Other / Off-topic / Re: Try not to discard your old computers, phones and other important gadgets on: March 05, 2020, 03:26:51 AM
your advice is very nice but we cannot get anything new because of the current economic crisis  Sad

You could buy lots of cheap fairly-used devices actually. I don't know about other places, but where I live there are people/businesses that sell really cheap old/used devices. They usually buy used bad/good computers, fix them and sell for really cheap price. Better to go directly to them(if such thing exist where you live) and buy in bulk. They usually give few months (3-5 from my experience) guarantee.
3915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Gets Centralized Through Massive Mergers on: March 05, 2020, 03:08:11 AM
What kind of merger exactly? The centralized companies or the miners merging together? Well, that is one of the reasons we need lots of decentralized things on Bitcoin. By the way, there should be  ways to punish miners or companies when they move against Bitcoin. There power should always be checked esle they grow beyond a decentralized community/communities ability to control them

1 cup of warm water with lemon is a friend of the morning

* I normally put the juice in a cup  then get 2-4litters of warm water, pour in the cup and drink from there. When the water in the cup gets to the half, I pour more water from the big "bottle"(not really a bottle).

You can use many sour fruits, not just lemon 🍋. I noticed that lots of fruits with sour taste work great as well. Few days ago, I tried cashew fruit (it tends to be a bit sour) and it works great as well.
The secret to the hot(warm) water therapy is drinking in gulps intermittently while the water is little bit above warm.
And don't abuse the lemon or lime... A teaspoon of lime is probably OK.... more for lemon...and more for for other fruits with some sour in them.

And the water therapy works best for me in the morning, before meal. I'd would even recommend fasting throughout the morning, to maybe 12pm to benefit more from this. Eat fruits/vegs while fasting (and "drinking") if you can. It's called fruit fasting or something.
That works for me, I don't know if it will work for others.

3918  Economy / Economics / Re: Unfair aspects of KYC. But KYP is here on: March 04, 2020, 10:27:49 AM
You mean knowing the team behind the project by asking them for a proof of identity and/or proof of address (where the project is being established)? It's actually a great idea but will those guys hiding behind the project names itself and showing just an image of theirs on their website page actually give any real proof? Like if we ask someone from a Project X to show up with an identity proof as well as an address proof and click a selfie while holding a paper in his/her hand on which his/her name, the project's name as well as the date when clicked is written, they will need to complete all these KYP checks before anyone takes interest in their project and start investing with them?! If that becomes possible, at least 50% of these projects will disappear.

Exactly, if KYP is also going to be implemented, half of the existing project are going to disappear, because (1) they don't want to comply, (2) they are all fake.

KYC itself is very dangerous as we don't know who is handling our data, whether it's the services itself on another third party. And we have heard stories of third party selling our data, or hackers selling it underground.

It's actually a dangerous thing to give your most sensitive stuff (home Address, signature, DoB, fingerprints, Name etc) to total strangers on the internet. It is worrying to see people take risk that could have long lasting consequences.
I wonder if there are penalties to people who have custody of the identities and lose them to hackers or misuse them. And how about compensating the owners? That will most likely force companies to adopt a very safe ways of collecting and storing them... and "unqualified people" will be too afraid to demand for such sensitive information.
3919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: March 04, 2020, 09:45:30 AM
Even i am skillful in gambling. I am not that dumb to let myself borrow a money from a friend just to gamble because i could lose all the money that i borrowed, and i will not be thinking straight if i done it. I should just buy and spend the money that i borrowed on important things such as paying bills, foods, clothes or basic needs rather than fooling around and gamble all of it.

By the way gambling and lending have a deep relation and it can be seen on the lending section how some guys take loans for gambling and even pay back with 10-15% interest in couple of weeks time.

I wonder what kind of gambling is that. Do the borrowers use collateral, or no? I doubt any experienced/knowledgeable lender would take such risk, unless they know their borrowers are capable of paying back or use some sort of collateral, especially virtual ones.
3920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asking Investment advice? on: March 04, 2020, 09:25:06 AM
Advising one's self is good, but there should be agreed Crypto-friendly standards every newbie should be aware of. That would make further researching easy for them. We currently don't have the standards. This adds to the problem in Crypto crowdfunding.
