Update:

     4. 216582: willi9974 (Trust: +22 / =0 / -1) (DT1! (0) 172 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

    18. 165997: serje (Trust: +1 / =1 / -1) (2 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

@serje appears to have defaulted on an unsecured loan from @zazarb however, both zazarb and @KWH (DT2) both reference the loan approval [1a] [1b] rather than any scam accusation.

I would be interested to hear from serje if this loan is still defaulted, or was repaid very late?

willi9974 first trusts serje in Week 63 and is DT1 (+2)

In Week 65 willi9974 goes from 20+ to 7+

Week 76 willi9974 is DT1 (-1)

Then this week (77) willi9974 again recovers ground:

willi9974's only negative trust feedback is a very old slap on the wrist:

Given Finksy has been offline for two and a half years, willi9974 is unlikely to shake that Red Paint TM any time soon:

This just in from another thread dealing with multiple trust issues:

Another example of cabalism13's questionable DT activities:

Week 15 cabalism13 distrusts tecshare
Week 17 tecshare distrusts cabalism13
Week 22 cabalism13 changes their distrust of tecshare to trust
Week 24 tecshare removes their distrust of cabalism13
Week 34 cab removes 18 of their 30 trust list (including tecshare)

Kinda irrelevant IMO, this shouldn't be here, instead on the Reputation Section. Also it wasn't questionable, trust list isn't moderated, I would do whatever I want to. I will remove/place someone whom I want to whenever I want. It's my personal list.

Besides, I wasn't on the DT1 by that time, so it's not that important.

Further reading on the issue begins with this post.

You might want to have a read of this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095156.msg54732978#msg54732978 and the ramifications of abusing the Default Trust Network.

Given how "tight knit" the Philippines section is purportedly, with "everyone knowing everyone else" it's surprising none of you can say who TYM is or where they are.  Not so tight knit after all.

LoyceV also asked an interesting question along the lines of whether it's intended that DT1 excluded members can still make inclusions/exclusions to other DT1 members, if they are ultimately distrusted by "acting" DT1 members (cant' find quote though).

I think this is becoming a joke. There's one shithead with -15 still wreaking havoc in DT1, extorting other members with exclusions/inclusions. I think the idea was that such a person would ultimately stop being eligible for DT1 due to not having 10+ inclusions from merit-earning users but that's clearly not happening and with more and more merit being spread around there will be more merited idiots including other idiots. Perhaps exclusions should count against DT1 eligibility (e.g. if you're excluded by 2 users with 250+ merit, then that negates 2 inclusions from users with 250+ merit) but that probably would open other avenues for abuse.

Good luck with that voting block idea.   Roll Eyes

Isn't his -15 DT1-strength evidence of the DT-system working as intended?

Maybe, if the intent was to allow such users to extort other DT1 users. They can't directly affect DT ratings but still can do so indirectly, for example by including someone who is at -1 or excluding someone who is at 0 in DT1.

I was DT1 (-16) just a few weeks ago thanks in part to persons such as your good self who have peddled in accounts here in the BitCoinTalk Forum which causes instability in people's lives here and in real life.  At the moment I'm DT1 (-7) so yes, the current DT system works as it actually distils not strengthens the damage account traders have here in this forum.

Most if not all of those who distrust me have at one point or another peddled BCT UID's, yourself included which is why I am not concerned.  Sixteen is just a number, so is seven.
3926  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] BPIP Extension - user info add-on / extension for Firefox, Chrome, et al on: July 05, 2020, 01:36:42 AM
Hi guys, me again.

I have another suggestion which already has interest in the thread I originally made it in.

Would it be possible to have a Firefox add-on button similar to the BPIP one on a user's profile page that takes you to the corresponding trust page for that week?
It would be great if the BPIP extension can include this. I suggest you suggest it in that topic Smiley

Can you implement HTTPS in your website?
I've had the suggestion before, but never got the time (or motivation) to implement it. I was hoping to have some time today, but things turned out differently.
3927  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: July 05, 2020, 01:25:16 AM
That's a mistake from my part and it has been corrected, I'm fun of rotating my custom trust list every now and then (if you monitor my list you'll noticed that). I Have a draft where I copy the name from and paste on my trust settings. If you observed properly, all or most of the newly added users were once on my custom trust list, which were also removed as a result of my list rotation.

Just edited my list to correct that and some of those that were newly added to my custom trust list had been removed then new members will replaced them (from DT1 probably to strengthen my CTL). My selection is made on my personal criteria and not having a custom list of yours isn't part of the criteria. I too was included in the DT list weeks before I even had a custom list.

Thanks for the observation.

I see you've already removed three users:

Just a quick heads up adding and removing then adding (then removing) looks a little odd.  It's always good to sweep out the cobwebs, I've done it twice myself (once recently of the trust list, the other a while back of my distrust list).  People take great interest in the DT comings and goings.
3928  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - theyoungmillionaire u=1180530 on: July 05, 2020, 12:54:21 AM
This investigation is still ongoing.
I find this useless. Just to be prank mate,... trust is what we use whenever we had multiple transactions for a long time... Even though it is seen as back scratching LoL, doesn't care about that.

cabalism13

I have cabalism13 in the "not sure basket" as they do things that on their own seem innocuous enough, but after a while start to add up:

Week 11 cabalism13 adds silent26 and TYM
Week 15 cabalism13 adds 13 UID's to their trust list which is being discovered to be a tactic for some users to add a dozen UID's in the hope they will in turn add them in a follow-for-follow move to gain trust.
Week 63 cabalism13 changes from trust to distrust of TYM which is significant as it is within the first ten days after this scam accusation thread goes live.
Week 64 crwth removes silent26 and TYM from their trust list http://loyce.club/trust/2020-04-04_Sat_09.19h/914465.html and adds cabalism13 who like Maus0728 participates in the scam tread and posts in the Filipino section.

Regarding other accounts involved I am no contact with them.

Regarding trust list since its not moderated we cant actually used that as something like an evidence. If you found this biased then, the whole Philippine Coinsph users with bitcointalk forum accounts can prove that I am right and only telling the truth.
Count me in.

@cryptoaddictchie & @cabalism13

I haven't said any of these users are alts, however, there is a case to be made that they are engaging in DT Trust abuse (or at the very least are not using their trust lists as intended) by all enabling their trust in each-other in the same week 03/04 as outlined previously.  Some users acquired the required 10 merits, have ten users they trust then, went to sleep.  Even though they are not active, their ten merits+ten trust list count as a vote to vote up other users propelling them into DT1 territory.  The ones that are asleep are probably shill / alt accounts while the rest are *probably* a voting block.  The fact they started with the same core list of ten users they add in the same week highlights collusion.

What is clear remains unchanged, namely that TYM defaulted on his loan. As for anything else such as his health, location, reason for defaulting etc it is speculation but the fact remains he defaulted on his loan. repayment.

theyoungmillionaire is probably one of the other accounts in that voting block, but which is the alt?
3929  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: July 05, 2020, 12:28:49 AM
I noticed something I forgot I even implemented:
  432. 2526732: This user's information will be added next week. Until then, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2526732
  439. 2709246: This user's information will be added next week. Until then, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2709246
This is caused by 2 users who where added to DT2, while they didn't even have any Trust-list-relations in theymos' last data dump (which was this morning). Digging further, I stumbled upon Trust selfscratching by CryptopreneurBrainboss. Yesterday, he had (Trust: +2 / =1 / -0). Now it's (Trust: +6 / =1 / -0) after he added those 4 users to DT2:
Image loading...
All of those 4 users have left positive feedback to CryptopreneurBrainboss. I don't consider this correct use of the Trust system, especially from someone on DT1.

If you start at the current week 77 and go backwards through the weeks, you will see CryptopreneurBrainboss adds a user then the week prior he was added by that user. Around six months ago it was the opposite; CryptopreneurBrainboss would add first then the other user would add them. I haven't looked at this extensively, however some of the users who participate in this trust-for-trust seem to be also participating with others.

CryptopreneurBrainboss is also adding a half dozen in one week then removing the same subset a few weeks/months later. Naturally if he is adding and being added this can only mean the other side are also complicit in this action.

Disclaimer: I participated in one of the Signature Campaigns that CryptopreneurBrainboss administers and he is very well liked.  I hadn't interacted with him prior to, or since my few weeks in the 777coin campaign.

@LoyceV - If you haven't already seen this post I believe there is a voting block or possibly even alts voting up one or two UID's.

(and I notice LV8 never got tagged by you)

There are so many examples of users not using the Trust system in an incorrect manner.

Double negative.
3930  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - theyoungmillionaire u=1180530 on: July 04, 2020, 03:47:27 PM
Since my first post, Maus0728 has removed their trust of theyoungmillionaire but continues to trust all others (the group in what seems to be a DT abuse cluster).
Yes. I don't have nothing to hide with regards to removing TYM as one of the people that is included in my trust list recently. I removed him immediately when @LoyceV replied to this thread prior to your first post.

He has much more DT1-exclusions than inclusions already, but his sent feedback is still valid, right? I can understand why some people don't exclude him. Even though he can't be trusted with money, his past judgement on others is still good. It would be a different story if he started leaving incorrect ratings now, but he hasn't even been online anymore.

Um no.

You have that back the front.  @LoyceV is replying to *my* first post, here is the full quote that you have amended:

Has anyone reached out to any of these people?  There's still a DT1 in the list (and they're active on the Forum as we speak)

I trusted those user because they are the people who are once active in our Pilipinas Local Section helping to make our forum clean and spam free. Also, I can easily remove Silent26, Strufmbae in my trust list easily since they are not that active anymore but I won't remove finaleshot2016, GDragon and crwth since they are the one who help me throughout my entire journey in this community.

That's part of the issue, you're all from what I can see from the Philipino section, so you've either bought the account, or, the question is why did you all add the same users in week three & four?

This list is only a snap-shot, but the others UID's to make the ten required to be in the running for DT are almost always the same across the board.
3931  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - theyoungmillionaire u=1180530 on: July 04, 2020, 02:29:14 PM
Maybe someone needs to look at the connection with this profile as well: Silent26.

bitcoin address:
Code:

archived: http://archive.is/Pcf5E

This is a working theory.

I am investigating a connection between theyoungmillionaire and finaleshot2016 who both changed their passwords within 24 hours as I stated in this post and this follow-up postjademaxsuy along with crwth have extensively swapped merits with theyoungmillionaire and finaleshot2016 while in @LoyceV's Default Trust List Week 05 jademaxsuy removed their trust of theyoungmillionaire only to add finaleshot2016 and crwth in Week 06

In addition, I have a working theory that theyoungmillionaire has at least four or five alts being jademaxsuy, finaleshot2016, Squishy01, GDragon, Strufmbae, Silent26, crwth and Maus0728 based on their default trust lists activating the same week for most, or a couple of weeks later (with the same list) in the case of the latter couple of UID's.  As at week 76 all or most still trust theyoungmillionaire and each-other.

Since my first post, Maus0728 has removed their trust of theyoungmillionaire but continues to trust all others (the group in what seems to be a DT abuse cluster).

An example of the alt DT abuse is as follows:  (and it's an incomplete list of the week 76 examples)

In purple the first group that appear to be connected, with those in orange seemingly connected as well via adding the same core ten UID's as those in purple.

Most humans have ~20 fingers&toes... so I'll be here, watching if your math starts getting wobbly after September.

I can count to 31 with only one hand.
So I think I am ok for the first 1,023 months with two hands. It's well into the next century: it's a lot of OCD and beers until then!

Totally off topic, I think it was the ancient Mayans Mesopotamians who counted the individual bones in the fingers (4X3) then double that as there are two bones in a thumb makes 24. (It may have been the Mayan's who used the two thumb bones to give 24)...

He also created finaleshot2016ALT the 4/23/2019 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2587368

Moreover finaleshot2016 seems to only post on Fridays, with a big amount of posts each time. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=888099;sa=showPosts
It's typically what users with multi-accounts are doing for bounty campaigns.
So it's crystal clear he bought this account.
But it's odd a guy like that could still be enrolled in bounty campaigns, his bounty manager is Hhampuz as I see.

I wouldn't have thought to check what day of the week a user posts (I'll have to keep that in mind)  The alt itself was created just five days after the two accounts (theyoungmillionaire & finaleshot2016) changed their passwords.

3934  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's Trust score images - request them here (and use in a post/table/BBCode) on: July 02, 2020, 01:54:26 PM
I was just wondering what the time lag between the DT update each month and the images being updated?  It's not critical, I just happened to be online today not too long after the update occurred and noticed the images had yet to update.  I've been to work and now that I'm home they have updated.

I'm not looking for a more speedy update, am just curious how long it takes to filter down to your system?

Thanks.

Hey,

What's the best way to store bitcoins safely without a ledger/other hardware wallets?

Thanks

Shopping List:  A form of sheet metal, (galvanised steel etc) an engraver a pencil and ruler and an hour or so.

Transfer your coins to a paper wallet that you have rolled offline, engrave the private key onto the sheet metal (store in a safe place until needed).  Destroy the paper wallet once you have verified what you engraved is what you intended to have engraved.

(If you know what you are doing you can also acid etch the QR code onto metal (without the clear text) to mask what it is).

Another one I've read is create a three of four or even four of five etc wallets with the various priv keys stored as above in different locations, one or two can even be brain wallets if you're super paranoid about security and don't care what happens to the coins if anything untoward happens to you.

Another one I'm investigating is time locked TX which I haven't managed to get working properly as yet, so I can't recommend it.

the correct name is "Casascius" and it is not offline storage, it is a physical bitcoin

I'd hardly call a gimmick silver coin with a sticker over a QR code a secure method of storage.

In any event, any of the coins that have been "slabbed" with the sticker still intact you would have no way of knowing whether or not the sticker was peeled off, the details transcribed and then carefully replaced immediately prior to encapsulation.  (We'll know for certain one day into the future if someone decides to cash in the funds)
3936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: July 02, 2020, 01:27:23 PM
I've just watched the majority of the NRL Rugby League game Melbourne Storm Vs the Sydney Roosters - an electric game played in Brisbane at Lang Park (I know the area very well).  With the partial easing of Covid restrictions there were more than a few people in The Cauldron evenly spaced out in rows.  While Sydney is 1,000+ Klms away and Melbourne more than another 1,000 Klms again there was no "Home Court" advantage as such with the game going into Golden Point and finishing 27-25 after an increasingly electrifying second half.

Although the game was played in Queensland, the spectators cheering seemed to be evenly matched, so it was hard to tell one way or the other if there was any "home court advantage".

There's the rub: The other list you reference also omits those that were selected month-to-month to be DT1, so it's a compounding error.
I have the data, how about I get you an overview of all DT1 users for the past 18 months?

Hi and thanks, it wasn't quite what I was after, (it's actually a better offer and I can use it for other things) - there is absolutely no rush - I'm working on a couple of things (unrelated) so there's no urgency.

Can anyone help?

Do I then send funds to 36aGPF8dhu9Wg8RDtSRUpuiNzLA9UaNXSZ until the 5th of November this year and then go to the URL and click "verify"?

Is it just that simple, or, am I missing something? (Thanks for this titbit of information)

the "verify" button is simply translating the script into human readable form which is what you can do on your own too. the first 5 bytes (04+e0b3a25f) is your epoch time in little endian for which is Wednesday, November 4, 2020 2:00:00 PM GMT (yes that is a bug in coinb.in that uses your local time instead of converting it). the next two are OP_CLV and OP_DROP and the next 34 bytes are your public key and finally the OP_CHECKSIG.

the problem you may face is for spending this since there is no easy way of doing it as far as i can tell.

Am I doing something wrong?

http://coinb.in/?verify=04e0b3a25fb1752102614dc59a3f561b47337e192c439850e7b6d36e357e1c883756168ef11ba3f960ac#verify

Quote
the next two are OP_CLV and OP_DROP

I'm guessing "the next two" aren't one character long each?

The submit button also doesn't work.  (I've tried it with a date that's already come and gone)

I can broadcast a Raw transaction, that's ok, I'm just stuck working out which part is the actual transaction.

Thanks.

theyoungmillionaire's top two users to send merits to are jademaxsuy and crwth

jade's top merit receiver is tym:

Two of crwth's top four merit recipients are TYM and jade:

Further reviewing crwth's subsequent trust list inclusions by others, there are a number of other UID's who also do merit back-scratching with TYM.
