3921  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What the fuck does binance want? on: January 11, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
I never liked it and I think that Kucoin exchange recently reduced and change limitations for unverified account so it came down from 4btc to 1btc per one day that you can withdraw.
If I had to choose one centralized exchange to replace Bitcoin it would probably be FTX, but I would agree with you that decentralized exchanges like Bisq are the way to go for me.

There is no guarantee that at some point FTX or even Bisq will not require KYC. I even think it is inevitable for all exchanges in the near future, of course, if they want to cover most of the regions. EU for example, where conditions will be tightened as much as possible.

btw. I haven't had any problem passing KYC (not only on Binance) whenever I did it. it was with blurry pictures, but it was also clear to me that it was illegible.
3922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How Much $ Have You spent On Ethereum As Gas Fees on: January 11, 2022, 11:44:27 PM
I better not have seen this. Checked a few of my addresses, everything looks very depressing. around $100-$150 per address  Angry
Yesterday I tried to send some ETH, but the recomended normal fee is 300gwei.  Sad
3923  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E Update [December 2021] Watch out! on: January 11, 2022, 11:27:30 PM
As I expected. It is just another SCAM!!  :-(

if it's easier for you to accept that it's definitely a scam, I also received the same email, with exactly the same content.
It's interesting that I have no funds left on BTC-e, on my luck I withdraw it all just before the crash. So, they haven't to recover anything from my zero balance on there.
The owner probably trying to use for one more time an email address database of registered users.
3924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 11, 2022, 11:03:17 PM
I completely forgot about the games today, luckily is only one game and Southampton is winning which should give me the default 1 or 1.5 points depending on the result.Going right away to put my predictions for the upcoming games,I had a lot of work at my job today and completely forgot about the Premier League.Southampton winning I would have not predict a win although it is early, mostly I would have gone for a draw as the most predictable result for this game.

How many points do you get from this "default" game?
I saw there is only 46% of players picked Southampton to win. Also, 15-16 players did not make predictions for this game. it is very possible that you will not get those default points for this match.

Well thankfully you didnt miss much of the matches. 1 match was also postponed due to covid so you got lucky.
Im also dissapointed in Brentford i went for draw in this match and it was 1-1 and one point but ended 4-1 and lost all points in this match sadly.

I am surprised that you and CasperBGD didn’t have much faith in the new Southampton owners  Grin
3925  Economy / Services / Re: Make bitcoin by writing blog articles and making posts on: January 11, 2022, 10:50:35 PM
are you really expecting people to remember that long domain name/ url ?
already prejudged your platform just from the URL

how he just didn't think of anything short and easy to remember like martingalecalculator.com  Cheesy
If you check default domain is illusive-moose.ca so it's not so complicated, even it's better than martingalecalculator (just without -)

But yes, I saw there is no page or redirect on the default domain address. OP you probably should need to improve that.

Pretty sure that many would attempt to have a contact with him through any means necessary. Imagine if his email address was leaked and thousands of scammers and blackmailers would flood his inbox in a blink of an eye. In fact consider all the richest person following him like Jeff Bezos, though I am not sure if he holds a certain amount of Bitcoin.
I am also sure that these rich dudes don't really browse the internet that much to look for opportunities to earn even if it was legitimate. They'll just spend their time doing their stuffs or scrolling around Twitter.

there are no limits to what kind of phenomena there are on the internet.
I remember a few months ago, someone contacted me through Twitter asking for advice (he did not ask for money from me), how to contact Ellon Musk to ask for some donation from him. He needs money to renovate his house in Greece.
I just can imagine what offers and suggestions he Musk received every day.
3927  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Is this site legit? on: January 11, 2022, 09:42:17 PM
Don't be such naive. he or she no matter who you talk to they are there to scam you for money. Her friends probably do not exist and the whole story is meant to make you money that way
I have already seen platforms like this, where it is possible to send virtual coins between two users on the platform but no way to send it out of there. Because they do not exist.

You can go to test any theory, but I think it is just a waste of your time. So, if you have more than enough why not. repay her loan as well as debt to friends, Transfering coins through the platform. This is a win-win for all sides, right?
3928  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Traffic Stats on: January 11, 2022, 08:25:52 PM
Is it possible for one site to have a lower rank on global stats than in only one state? Or in the global United States rank was not counted?
I mean, if US rank says #31765, where all of the first 31764 disappear when we count global ranking? It must be the higher number for sure.
Or do I am missing something?
3929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Crypto Scams ! on: January 11, 2022, 08:16:34 PM
One of the worst things I've ever seen is that people don't care about their financial privacy. I found some people on facebook proud enough to share proof of their profit results in trading and investing. This is the worst choice ever made if you care about financial privacy.

Scammers will know a lot about these people and will launch an attack once all the data is collected. Blackmail and threats are one of the most common for this type of person, and I think it's something to avoid when you own crypto. Silence is much better if it's about how much money you have, your wealth is a private consumption that you shouldn't share on social media.

I agree that silence is always desirable but...
Everyone knows that Ellon Musk has a lot of money and hold a big amount in Bitcoin. he has stated this himself several times, even the statement that he paid a huge amount of taxes. What do you think, whether he is the target of scammers or blackmail?
or he's just not naive to believe in various free gains from strangers on the internet.

3931  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ultra Premium Domain Name for Sportsbook/Casino on: January 11, 2022, 07:25:03 PM
but definitely not worth $70 000.
You're wrong with the price, actually, it's $700,000. That's the name of their price for that domain.

that is the price he would like to achieve, there is not much contact with reality. I guess he wants to solve all his life problems by selling one domain, it happens when someone overdoes the imagination.
It can be worth up to $700 in the best case (three zeros less).
for the casino, a business domain name is not crucial (even this is two words domain). Check roobet.com for example. Before this casino, that domain does not worth much, now sounds very recognisable and I guess, they did not spend $700k on branding that name.

That's the best that they can do and that's to lower the price, it's a gambling-related domain so they're targeting those customers that might like the domain.

Yes, this is a gambling-related domain, but gamblers mostly are not interested to buy a domain name

Anyway ,please send us your USDC address and we will send 18935.67 USDC ,sorry for any inconvenience of you ,thanks~"

After speaking with them about the situation today, I do not believe they acted in bad faith. This was a transaction anomaly and I would consider another purchase.

Wait for the confirmed transaction before any positive judgement. you may be right, but it's been too long until their reaction occurred.
since you don't have any sure ways to force them to refund, this would be a miracle.
3933  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Domain Registration Service and Web Hosting are best for Crypto Projects? on: January 11, 2022, 07:05:16 PM
It is very hard to have full anonymity there. someone will always be able to follow the owner of the service. if he wants of course.
I guess you can use whois privacy on the domain registrar, many of them Namesilo, Namecheap (as Bitcointalk) offering it for free. Plus Cloudflare service (like Bitcointalk), and you will be fairly anonymous to everyone except your registry. In the end, they always can track you by accessing IPs.

There are always some good reasons why you need to keep your whois data correct as ICANN says https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/faqs-f0-2012-02-25-en

As for web hosting, I used Vultr servers (pay with BTC of course). They have a very nice performance.

was it not a condition for Vultr that the first payment be made through the bank/PayPal, or there is something changed?
3934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 11, 2022, 03:11:05 PM
If I'm not wrong now, Manchester United have already offered a contract extension to Paul Pogba. But I'm having my doubts about if he will be accepting the deal or not. Because if Paul Pogba really wanted to play for Manchester United for more years, I assume that he would already have wanted an extension by himself.

If you are Paul Pogba say for instance, will you still want to play for MUFC that is very unpredictable right now in performance, or will you want to secure your career and find opportunities else where?

...

If I were Paul Pogba, honestly I wouldn't have liked to continue to play for Manchester United anymore. Because there is a big ambiguity when it comes to the near future of the team. They are still having a really hard time winning their domestic league games. In this situation, a big player like Pogba should think of joining a team that are in a better condition while there is an opportunity to do so. And while PSG and Real Madrid are already after him, he should go to one of them.

if he is really that good shouldn't he be the important part that will raise the team to a higher level? Or is team condition is because they expect something from a big star, but they did not get it.

if we compare the influence of Messi to Barca performance, before and after, or Ronaldo in Real before and after, is there a real difference in quality with or without Pogba in MU on the pitch? shows nothing more than average. Bruno has brought much more for much less time.
3935  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should quit bitcointalk.org for endfb.com on: January 11, 2022, 03:00:21 PM
Look like more a topic to spam his website than a complaint about Bitcointalk.  Roll Eyes

Exactly. spamming through the forum trying to propagate his website. He is trying to run a signature campaign, where participants also will need to add endfb at the end to all posts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5380022

He hates Bitcointalk and Facebook, but he is still on here. There are no valuable posts, I know because I report many of them.
3936  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Blog – Looking for new partners on: January 10, 2022, 04:41:42 PM
Since this project will be very difficult for me alone, I'm looking for another crypto enthusiast that will help me write and bring the blog to the level I want.

Since I'm starting from scratch, in the beginning there will be no financial income, but when the website starts to bring some income the revenue will be of course shared in proportion with the work you've done.

without your initial capital, I'm not sure you can expect a special level in quality.
you will need quality content here, and I don't believe you'll be able to get it for free only with promises, one day when your blog starts making money... a good writer would rather pay someone to create a blog for him and to be independent.
Next what is also important is marketing, SEO... it requires certain investments (financial investments) where just hiring people is not enough. it is necessary to pay for certain dedicated services.
it is possible to do something for free, but it does not raise the whole business to the required level.

It doesn't matter if you publish 1,2 articles a day. Most important short-term goal after opening shop is to build an audience using mailing lists, who will then take care of making backlinks for you just by pasting it on their own sites. Sure your DA will steadily rise even as the number of spam links increases but to gain top spots on google, you need viewers who will backlinks for you because your content is so good.

No Google listings = no traffic = no revenue, so mind the engagement carefully.

This is true, but that applies to any webpage. Website optimisation, SEO and whatever is behind is a serious industry. the fact that many understand what it serves, doesn’t mean it’s easy to do or that it is not possible to make mistakes that are difficult to correct later.
3937  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: January 10, 2022, 04:25:50 PM

Mada je prilicno niska cena struje, nisu cak ni uslovljeni obaveznim placanjem, jer nema posledica, iskljucenja sa mreze.
3938  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Buying Fake Reviews! on: January 10, 2022, 12:26:34 PM
Unfortunately, these paid fake reviews or any false praise of service are common today. Probably 90% of all reviews are paid or stimulated by interest.
Just check the bounty section of this forum, there are probably 9 of 10 bad projects that won’t do anything serious (except take money from investors) All of them offer some compensation in the form of tokens to people who will spread some positive words about their business.
This is how marketing goes today, there is very little we can do by revealing someone who publicly admits it.
3939  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Alert] Phishing websites on: January 10, 2022, 11:54:45 AM
Nice work OP. I hope this helps someone, though I am so sceptical. people very rarely check where they leave data and especially do not check the credibility of the site.
I have one suggestion for you. Can you add something like "update log" to the first post? this would be very useful, especially if the thread expands.
3940  Economy / Lending / Re: Apyharvest scam on: January 10, 2022, 11:28:28 AM
I think it is better to move this to the scam accusation section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
certainly, the landing section is not the right place for this.

next, It will be correct if you share scam details/proofs if you have it. Of course, it is very hard to find the right owner offshore company and even harder to get the funds back from there.
I saw that the domain Apyharvest scam is redirected to Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov), they are obviously busted and forbidden to work.
