3921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Investing in real estate on: November 11, 2017, 12:32:58 AM
I totally disagree those type of ICO's. If they would really invest in real estates they would open a legal investments company wich allow people to invest money safely without the risk of disappearing over night.
Actually only a few ICO's are really based on a real project with strategic and safe investments. Most of ICO's are created just to make a quick profit in a few weeks months then they the business suddenly closes.
You can use ICOs in combination with legal companies..
3922  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well educated nation is the key? on: November 11, 2017, 12:32:12 AM
That is true. There's a thin line between education and memorization of contents in books. This is evident in how most book dependent but less creative nations are failing. Education means empowering people to think for themselves, not merely testing memory.
Very true. It's really odd to find even some Masters and PhD students who can't think for themselves without using a book...

3924  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a strong hand pays off once again on: November 10, 2017, 10:55:12 PM
I am glad that segwit was cancelled. As we can see, cancelling such events is possible. I do agree that new coins are not really needed.
It only makes crypto world more saturated. And we can't say if these new coins can only give more risks in trading and other activities involving digital currencies. It's really safe to stick with bitcoins and alts that are very renowned in this field.
Who knows if the market agrees or not though. We all expected a correction after the fork. And since it was called off that correction is taking place now. But a lot of people keep FUDding and moving into Bitcoin Cash, who knows if that's just shady market manipulation or an actual shift in trust...
3925  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: November 10, 2017, 10:53:29 PM
%0.000001 chance to hit 500k in three years. But there is %10 chance to hit 100k in next three years. And i will bet on %10 and hodl my coins

At least there is chance right?  Cheesy As long as bitcoin will hit $10,000 for the next year and even higher for the consecutive years that does matter to me. I'm good already with bitcoin at $10,000 and I'm not going to expect more so if the price gets higher and reaches beyond $10,000 that's a jackpot for me. And if the price didn't reached more than $10,000 and that won't hurt me well either.
Just be careful with Bitcoin forking left and right. It might end up dropping instead of rising depending on how things play out. I doubt it will, but it's always best to be prepared for the worst.
Expect those forks will come but for now let's assume a good guess for the dip that's happening right now. Preparation will make us ready on whatever will happen and I'm into it, I'm not saying that I can take if the price of bitcoin will be dipping too much but I'm more prepared of it's rise. Let's don't think that way but let's prepare for the best not for worst.
Nah, always prepare for the worst. That way nothing will ever stop you. If the best happens that's great, but you're still prepared for when it doesn't.
3926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Master Degree Important? on: November 10, 2017, 10:52:45 PM
A master's degree is often necessary to secure a profession and advance within some fields. Many careers that require master's degrees are typically found in sectors such as research and academia. Professionals with a master's degree often benefit from higher pay and increased job responsibilities
You won't get any research jobs with a Master degree. And within academia you would only get positions as a tutor, and even those usually go to PhDs and PostDocs.
3927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: November 10, 2017, 10:50:50 PM
In my opinion, this very well could happen. But, bitcoin must be adopted by one of the big online retailers. Without it, btc is just pure speculation with very little real world application. The price is too heavily inflated by speculative holders.

If and when amazon/eBay or similar adopt btc, then we will see huge growth.
Bitcoin can also just simply be used as an investment only currency. If it was the denominator of the altcoin market, just like fiat is the denominator for stocks, it would easily grow beyond 100k just based off of that alone.
3928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 10, 2017, 10:49:42 PM
To tell you I am surprised at BTC price is to say nothing. I am shocked! It seems this cryptocurrency has been conquering the whole world. Today it is about $7300 and it is growing further. Soon more and more people will deal with BTC as the most convenient and profitable virtual currency.
And this is just the beginning can you imagine the price of bitcoin in the next 10 years, the price is going to be so high that people are going to wonder why did they not invested in bitcoin before but by then it will be too late and we will bee the few ones that are going to be able to get huge profits out of that growth in the price of bitcoin.
I wouldn't be too sure about that. Bitcoin is and always has been a very risky investment. And the crypto market moves extremely quickly. There are a lot of things that could stunt the future growth of Bitcoin, so always be on the edge.
You are right, but at the same time the odds bitcoin goes up in value are better than the odds it goes down in value in the next 10 years, I know previous performance does not guarantee future performances, but if we look at the past of bitcoin, we can see the extraordinary growth it had since the beginning and it seems this is only the beginning.
I don't think I would be confident enough to make any 10 year predictions about Bitcoin. Development happens so fast that it could sweep Bitcoin away even 5 years from now. There has also been a lot of fresh uncertainty thanks to the drama with the SegWit2x fork that was initially forced/rushed and then called off. So who knows what will even happen in the next year, much less 10 years from now.

I'm sure you are capable of reading charts yourself.
3930  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin regaining dominance. on: November 10, 2017, 10:17:53 PM
The dominance of bitcoin is not permanent and i think that after a few weeks, the price will have a correction because the people will sell their bitcoin or either go to altcoins again because the price of altcoins are low and it is a good option to just buy a lot of altcoins and hold them and wait for the recovery for a huge profit to be made.
Let us assume that we could see a very big correction ,what coins do you think will dominate bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market,i would say none, there is no coin that could have the capacity to dominate its market at the moment, the alt coin market is down and dusted because the price of bitcoin is rising to new levels and we will see a pause on that aspect for sometime,we need to see a market resurgence when it comes to good alt coin markets and hopefully we could see that.
Bitcoin is currently correcting though. And before 2020 several altcoins will untether themselves from Bitcoin, since by then real companies will start creating actual value for investors. Who knows how big they will become though. We could easily some altcoins with a market capitalization of several hundreds of billions in the future though. Just look at tech companies on the stock market for reference.

3932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: November 10, 2017, 09:57:58 PM
The attempt to replace BTC with BCH is self destructive. Trust in Crypto would be set back by years.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=753252.msg24367898#msg24367898

If you want so save Crypto, dump your BCH and buy BTC. Smiley

I disagree with your point of view and instead I think it is wise to have both. BCH won't overcome BTC but it will last as a high-priced coin, so it is a profitable investment btw...
What makes you think that? I don't see why both would stick around for large amounts of time and I don't see why it couldn't overcome BTC if we get more drama like SegWit2x in the future... I doubt this will happen, but it seems possible.

$0.001180 to $1 in about 20 days, sounds like a very likely scenario  Roll Eyes
I didn't know that the whole month of December consisted of only a single day. Cheesy

More like several weeks. Doubt luck will help here though.
3936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: November 10, 2017, 09:41:31 PM
So guys, what do you think about McAfee prediction - will Bitcoin jump to $500 000 till August 2020?
I think it is not possible. We can predict anything but all our prediction is not correct. $500k is not a little price. Bitcoin is more strong crypto in the crypto world but reaching $500k for Bitcoin is so hard in three year. It can be reached on $30k.
It is a pretty small price if you consider the sizes of the stock market and currencies in general.
if Bitcoin is advertised by such conversations, then when people hear forecasts about 500,000 dollars for Bitcoin, then the popularity of the crypto currency will increase so much that in reality demand can revive such a price.
There are many use cases that make Bitcoin superior to existing markets, which could raise the price to such levels without people even seeing those types of forecasts.
3937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should governments allow bitcoin to continue grow? on: November 10, 2017, 09:40:12 PM
hi there
I wonder why should governments allow bitcoin to continue growing?
after all, they want to have control over the money that we are using

What do you mean allow? LOL like they have any choice in the matter they are helpless as the rest of us and must watch this ongoing. Simply no way they can stop cryptos not even with their biggest baddest foot down Cheesy
They do have the resources to start a global FUD campaign... if they work together (which they usually suck at). Would be extremely interesting to see them try too. I doubt they would be successful though.
3938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEEPONION - My opinion!! Stay away on: November 10, 2017, 09:36:14 PM
-it is run well and transparent with no hiccups

-nobody says you have to buy 100 onions but that is needed to participate. you can get them through bounties, giveaways, and even discussing the project on official forums.

-is 7-8% not good roi for one week time? this will equal 28% in a month and in less than 4 months youll be 100+

-nobody is jacking the airdrop they have been transparent about this from the beginning. the dev gets similar or less than many members fwiw, only the mods get higher.

-this aspect has been answered they want to remain anon so non necessary posts that are redundant and serve no real purpose

-whitepaper is coming soon, but you wouldnt know that would you?

-one exchange for now, there was supposed to be 2 as of now but novaexchange shut down...or did you not know this either?

-nobody gets 100x the top is 5x and those mods work 16 hr days so it is well deserved

-it may dump when done but that is natural for projects (look at byteball and other airdrops) and the true value will be seen shortly thereafter
It's not 7-8% ROI per week, because you have to actually do work (signature campaign) to get it, doesn't matter how little it is it locks up your signature for other campaigns. And there are signature campaigns that pay much better with no investment made, which makes them not only risk free but also superior in pay. There are also several projects for which it is much clearer if they are trustworthy or not, and it's always better to support those instead.

And the airdrop is being jacked by the dev team and moderators, although this happens indirectly by making it so the people who got more Onions for free will get even more Onions for the remainder of the airdrop.

Meanwhile smaller people will have no reason to join because the amount of Onions that they can get without risking thousands of dollars will be tiny in comparison to those who make several times more without any risk involved for them.

That's not fair no matter how you twist and turn it and people will stay away as a result, which will further centralize almost all Onions around a very small group of people. But I guess fairness has long left crypto anyways.

I don't think DeepOnion is a scam, but it's very fishy and caters towards the founders instead of distributing as many Onions as possible among as many people as possible.

Bitcoin will never scale, so it's nice to have options that work and you can easily send coins for low fees. Ditto the alts. We're going to see competition for the coin that will be most used by merchants and customers
Why would it not scale? If scaling becomes paramount for keeping mining revenue flowing, it will definitely scale. The only question is whether or not the scaling will happen in time.
3940  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money can buy happiness? on: November 10, 2017, 09:29:23 PM
Money can buy happiness because you can buy what you want that makes you happy. Because nowadays money is necessary for all people.
That's not how the human mind works. No matter what you want now, once you get it you will want something else. Chasing wants does nothing for finding happiness and the sooner people realize this the better their lives can be.
