3921  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is the most powerful politicians? on: July 04, 2017, 09:06:29 PM
Some of the biggest right now are all going to be part of the Majority Party, which is obviously in the United States going to be all Republican held things here. So the people are going to have to be Donald Trump (US President), Paul Ryan (Speaker of the House), Mitch McConnell (Senate Majority Leader) which are all highly influential people who are pretty much able to sway a ton in a country.

Maybe not on an individual scale when it comes to the members of congress, but if they're all to work together on something and can get their underlying behind it they can change a lot about a country. Pretty insane to think about if you really just think for a second.
3922  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When did the 4th of July become so commercialized ? on: July 04, 2017, 08:26:26 PM
The big thing that's always been about holidays has been businesses being able to make a shit ton of money off of it, and every holiday pretty much has the industry that is able to capitalize on it. Sad to say I guess, but when you think about it these holidays would be less important without certain industries being able to make a shit ton of money off of the holidays being as big as it is. Think about it, what would the 4th of July be like without fireworks, what would Christmas be without tons of toys and presents?

Sad, but that's the world we live in today.
3923  Other / Off-topic / Re: Porn is creating transgenders on: July 04, 2017, 07:40:10 PM
Wouldn't come out with such a baseless claim on a big issue, even if I'm not too keen on the whole idea itself. I do feel that people have the right to feel as if they're not feeling like the right sort of person in the body that they're in, and I wouldn't really be one to concern myself with what they're going to be doing about that, as in the end it is there issue if they want to concern themselves with that.

Porn isn't creating it, porn is an art form in which I do love. It suits tons of peoples needs and probably makes a select few of people insanely fucking rich, see what I did there? Fucking rich, teehee..
3924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Governments Shutdown the Internet? on: July 04, 2017, 07:19:07 PM
Then we're dead in the water, as simple as that. We need an internet to be able to be functional, without one we're just going to be left to be sitting here with our thumbs up our asses, using our own normal traditional gov issued currency. That's the thing that I hate about all of this, is if the government wanted to they could send all of this that we've built over the years all crashing down with one order from one fucked up national leader, it sucks but this is how this all works.

It's just like what if the gov taxes and regulates bitcoin users into oblivion, you can't do anything -- you're just going to have to accept it and move on.
3925  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: July 04, 2017, 07:06:44 PM
Well, it matters what sort of gift and if these people actually like bitcoin. Cause if they don't this is something that's just dumb, now they're going to have to figure out how to sell this thing cause they're going to have no use for it in the least. Though if they do support Bitcoin or something that's going to be different, though I will have to say I highly doubt many people that you know are going to be supporting this but if you do find them and think this is the best gift for them while they're going to be trying to build a family them so be it.

In some circumstances, yes.
3926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is violence really the key to a drug-free country? on: July 04, 2017, 06:06:56 PM
This may be the way that some country leaders go ahead and try to fix this, though I don't think it's going to be something that's going to work all around the world when it comes to combating crime. As in some areas it is WAY more normalized for people to be addicted and use weed, and other drugs. It may work in the Phillipines, or it may be working. But here in the US there'd be a ton of killing, it's kind of normalized for people to be using drugs here, using weed is one of the things that people see as like drinking or smoking cigs these days.

Who knows, could work, could not.
3927  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: July 04, 2017, 05:51:26 PM
Rec drug use is one of the issues that I don't seem to care for, all I want out of government is to be able to regulate it to a degree where people who are simply not using these sorts of drugs are safe to not be using them. The last thing I want is to be driving my car and some guy that is smoking and drinking smash into me while going 75 mph down my street, there has to be some sort of regulation to enforce this sort of stuff.

Also, I do feel as if weed usage is fine on a rec scale, given the regulations and taxes are there for government. Though I don't think I'd be going much farther then weed, I feel the others are too detrimental to long term health for the government to be sanctioning the usage of them.
3928  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did the Philippine government lied? on: July 04, 2017, 05:33:15 PM
Wouldn't doubt that a governmental regime that's trying to take down the drug trade through sheer killing and death is going to be able to lie about a couple things to be able to make themselves look better, I wouldn't even doubt that they're going to be lying about certain drug traders that they're killing to be able to gain public support when it comes to such a controversial topic. Though people like me have a tough time looking at this, as I'm from a Western nation that wouldn't allow anything like this to ever happen.

It's insane to think about it, but if you really think about how it it must've been to be able for them to elect someone that is open about doing deeds like this-- they must've been hurting pretty bad in the country, sucks.
3929  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Adode does not accept Bitcoin payments on: July 04, 2017, 04:50:39 PM
Here's the thing that I've said about companies, they're not going to change unless people just aren't going to be buying their services. They're only going to change if they stand to lose money by not changing, or they stand to get a ton of money with changing. Think about it, you're probably going to be using Adobes services with or without the Bitcoin payments, all you're going to do is probably just go ahead and use a credit card, debit card, or any other traditional source of money.

They're not going to change even with a petition, only if we all stand together and don't buy Adobe protects, and even at that they may not even notice us.
3930  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin mining, looking for cloudmining on: July 04, 2017, 04:26:54 PM
Though some companies in here that people have recommended may be good, I'd fucking steer so clear of anything along these lines because I see these companeis in two lights. One they're going to be a scam steal your money and then begone, that's going to be it with some of these companies. Another is going to be the company which is reputable and doesn't scam you, though they're just never going to be profitable for you anyway so it doesn't make sense. The thing with cloud mining that I never understood, is why would someone let you use their machine and pay you for it? They could damn well go ahead and make money without you.

Don't do it, do something else to make your bitcoins. It's scam filled market bud.
3931  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nicehash wallet address. on: July 04, 2017, 04:06:21 PM
Yeah you can, I do it with a Coinbase addres and hold no issue at all when I mine. Though there's one thing that you're going to have to note when you're doing this, the fee for using a non-nicehash wallet is going to be 4 percent on the amount of money that you're going to be getting, seems pretty hefty but I guess it's the price we pay for wanting to have steady returns from our cards instead of some weird shit when you're mining on a shit coin and you're going ahead, exchanging it, price changes, etc and so on.

So, go ahead and use whatever but do make sure to mind the fee alongside it.
3932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where should i invest 45 BTC risk free on: July 04, 2017, 02:48:31 PM
There's no such thing as risk-free in any investment, even in ones where there aren't much returns you still could be opening up yourself to a ton of risk in a WORST CASE SCENARIO type thing, if you want to invest in a place with minimal risk you're going to have to first sell that Bitcoin that you own-- because just by owning that you're opening yourself up to a FUCK TON of risk if the price was to drop, which is something that we've all gotten accustom to when it comes to the volatility of today.

Next you could go ahead and get a gov issued bond, given your gov is somewhat credit trustworthy. Maybe a savings account, CD at the bank or something like that. These have little risk but little reward, comes with the territory.
3933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is working fine! No change needed! on: July 04, 2017, 08:13:19 AM
We're going to have to fix Bitcoin, this is something that's going to have to occur in order for people to get involved. At the current moment we're facing an insane amount of issues when it comes to fees (oh these are the fucking worst) next is going to be network congestion (which is somewhat clearing up, though it'd be nice to look for clearing this up for the future on this one) and an overall centralization of the miners when it comes to the issue of fixing bitcoin. Without the miners, we're all going to be fucked on working out a deal-- I hope everyone can put their bullshit aside and set something up finally to be able to fix this struggling community in a time where it would be so ripe for growth and prosperity.
3934  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: July 04, 2017, 07:36:04 AM
Do I think that a rapist should marry the victim? No, that's insanely dumb and is just going to lead to a horrible marriage. Do I think they should me killed in some sort of way, yes I do. Can I even come close to thinking about the best way for these people to be murdered, no that's not something that I've given much though to.

Though I do think they should experience some sort of pain with there death, though I guess I just don't have the imagination to be able to muster something like that up.

Hanging is good, though it sounds like one of the more outdated ones when it comes to modern day punishments -- we can do better!
3935  Other / Politics & Society / Re: purpose of life on: July 04, 2017, 07:19:38 AM
This is something that no human is ever going to be able to answer, some may thing that they know the answer though even they don't even come close to understanding all of the world in itself. This is why religions are so prominent across the world, because if a human isn't able to understand something, or make up something to help them. They want to seek confirmation from an ultimate power, which gives us a set in stone rule book / close to that to be able to live our lives in peace.

If all of us were just worried about our purpose here we'd all be anxious fucks that'd be insanely annoying, that's not something that we'd want in the least for the world. We already have enough issues, I'm one for not adding onto it.
3936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: July 04, 2017, 06:58:10 AM
See the tough thing about Bitcoin right now is that I'm unable to answer that question, like I'd love to be able to be my old self when it comes to Bitcoin and talk about how we're this decentralized community, with low fees, no government oversight, instant (close to for that matter) transcations, and so on and so forth. But I just can't do that anymore, with the current state of our network and everything else I'm unable to push it for people.

Fees are too high, network congestion is getting better but nothing that's going to attract people from traditional sources of money / money usage. Bitcoin is a wonderful idea, we just have to get together as a community and put our differences aside and fix this, I think most of us want the same end goal.
3937  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump "Overrules" Cabinet, Prepares To Unleash Global Trade War on: July 04, 2017, 06:33:19 AM
While something like this may happen at some point, I highly doubt it's going to be Trump and trump only being the one that's pulling the strings on something like this. He's probably going to have tons of RNC and other advisors telling him that this is a good idea, popular and going to be trusted by an insane amount of people. There's going to be no reason to do something of this caliber, go against a ton of people in Washington without any sort of political gain.

He'll unleash a war, but only for the betterment of the RNC as a whole when it comes to winning and himself when it comes to winning. The guys smart, he's not going to be dumb about all of this.
3938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Goldman Sachs says bitcoin could rise another 50% on: July 04, 2017, 05:29:56 AM
See I'm fine with people posting Breaking News when we have truthful news that's hitting Bitcoin and the people should know, but when you're simply just making stuff up to be able to scare people (volatility), try to get more people to buy bitcoin, or whatever you're trying to be doing here it's just harmful for the community as a whole. Cause you're starting a trend that others are going to follow to get more views, then everything on here is going to say BREAKING NEWS.

Cut this shit, this is dumb as fuck.
3939  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: July 04, 2017, 03:41:07 AM
They probably know Bitcoin exists, and probably do go ahead and invest in some of the big companies on here which make sure that Bitocin keeps being pushed onto people such as Coinbase, Circle (when they still sold btc), many exchanges and such. Though I'll have to come out and say that I highly doubt billionaires are investing in Bitcoin, that just seems to be something insanely too volatile and risky for people when they could just be using the normal stock market, real estate market, where they've been making their money for so long.
3940  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: July 04, 2017, 02:16:08 AM
I'm going to have to say that you're one of the few on this forum who actually understands this simple thing to grasp, which is going to be that we're all not going to be making millions off of this, because with the amount of people that actually own Bitcoin it's just going to lead to everyone being rich which just isn't going to work out in the least. Nothing can work like that, there's not going to be enough people to be prodiving to the welaths and such of our culture that it just wouldn't work.

Some people need to have a reality check, a lot of people on this forum really need it to hit them.
