3921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: August 18, 2020, 08:15:16 PM
I have questions. It's about the Gas limit. The gas limit I always thought for an ERC20 token would be around 250,000 Max but the other day i noticed  GOLD Token's gas limit was close to 1,000,000 (With the current high gas prices, the fee to transfer GOLD Token was around $9) Right now the gas limit is at around 80,000. It's sad that i forgot to take the screenshot of the gas limit that day.
The fee you actually pay for transferring an ERC20 token doesn't depend on gas limit. That depends on used gas. When you submit your transaction, the amount deducted from your balance is gas price * gas limit. But once the transaction is confirmed the extra gas will return to your wallet. The amount return to your wallet is gas price *(gas limit- used gas). So the amount you actually pay for a transaction is gas price * used gas.

Even if your wallet considers the gas limit 1,000,000, you won't pay that much for transaction fee. Because the extra gas will return to your wallet.

Lets say 30 addresses are holding Gold tokens. If each transactions on the Ethereum blockchain costs around $9. That is $270 worth of ETH every 24 hours spent on smart contract calls just to deduct a small portion of GOLD in the holder's addresses

GOLD smart contract combines all transaction into a single one and pay much lower fee. Take a look at following transaction.
https://etherscan.io/tx/0xc609b59c4b8397fc91cab0c6d44f41bf367805027123526ca738c4cd48c75def

11 dollar worth of ETH has been paid for transferring daily GOLD storage fee from 23 addresses.

Something is probably wrong with your simulations.
It's impossible to double your balance in every 10 million bets you make. You may be lucky and do that a few times. But that's not always possible.
No strategy can defeat the house. The house edge guarantees that in the long run, the house will defeat you.
3923  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin scammers on: August 18, 2020, 05:55:18 PM
Does livecoin show the withdrawal in your transaction history?
If yes, check the transaction. Perhaps livecoin used a very low fee to send your fund and your transaction hasn't been confirmed yet.
3924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain sending limit ? on: August 17, 2020, 09:27:45 PM
i am not able to make a connection between the blockchain wallet and Electrum , i used my recovery phrase , and they didnt detect my wallet , no balance shown on Electrum
The seed phrase blockchain wallet give you is BIP39 seed and you should be able to recover your wallet using Electrum.
Perhaps, you are selecting a wrong script type when importing your wallet into Electrum. You must select "Legacy" as script type.
3925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain sending limit ? on: August 17, 2020, 07:40:26 PM
I dont have pending transactions on the account , and the fees cannot be the problem because including the fees it will be 6600$ - 6800$ , and my balance is 8700$ , so what is the problem with the rest ?
It can be a bug from blockchain wallet. Try to export your seed phrase from blockchain wallet and import it into another wallet like Electrum. If you really have that amount of bitcoin in your wallet, you should be able to spend it using other wallet.

....However the question remains why it is in the form of 100 grams ingots which are commonly used by individuals but not companies. The latter prefer 1 kg bars.
It doesn't really matter gold bullion bars stored at bullionstar vault weigh 100 gram or 1 kg. What matters is that 19,200 gram of physical gold has been stored and that can be verified through bullionstar.com.

But I have one question to ask, can the numbers that are shown after each roll be repeated? or each number is shown only one time??
Numbers are determined randomly through a provably fair calculation. These calculations are carried out separately for all rolls you play. So, any number between 0 and 10,000 is possible to be hit and it doesn't matter the number has already been hit or not.

3929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Miner commission on: August 12, 2020, 10:07:44 PM
You are probably using the minimum fee recommended by Electrum. You can lower the fee if you set the fee manually. To do so, click on "tools" at top of the window and then click on "preferences" and check "Edit fees manually". (Edit: You should do what stated below. That has been changed in the new version). After that you will be able to send your coins even using 1 sat/byte.
Just note that your transaction will take a very long time to get confirmed.
As already suggested in previous posts, consolidate your inputs first.
3930  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where does verifying the signature help? on: August 12, 2020, 08:16:05 AM
How exactly can one seed save a thousand addresses? It can only 30 as I know.
Any seed phrase can generate millions of addresses.
If you see only 30 addresses in your wallet, that's how your wallet works.

You can test this using iancoleman.
Generate a seed phrase and then click on "more rows" at bottom of addresses shown.
3931  Other / Meta / Re: What is exactly the functionality of "Report to moderator"? on: August 12, 2020, 07:54:42 AM
Oh, I see. Thank you very much for the clarification, hosseinimr93. It sounds reasonable. But how can you know that the respective topics were closed by a moderator and not by the OP? Is there any way to actually see who locked a topic? I am not aware of such possibility.
It's not possible to find out whether the topic has been locked by a moderator or by the poster. But since your reports are marked as good and those topics are now locked, that's likely the case.
That has happened to my reports many times when reporting mega-spam threads and also reporting duplicate topics while there are discussions on both of topics.
3932  Other / Meta / Re: What is exactly the functionality of "Report to moderator"? on: August 12, 2020, 07:39:11 AM
The moderator who handled those reports decided to lock topics instead of removing them. That's why your reports were marked as good but post were not deleted. Good doesn't always mean delete.
Most likely, that's because some other users have joined the discussions.
3933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Accidentally USDPax to USDT address on: August 11, 2020, 08:39:52 AM
Who owns the address you sent tokens to? Does the address come from an exchange?

If that address is owned by an exchange, now those tokens are in control of the exchange and the only thing you can do is to contact their support. (Exchanges usually doesn't help in such cases)
If you own the private key of that address, you can import it into a wallet that supports PAX and access those tokens.
3934  Other / Meta / Re: Opening Mutiple Ann Threads - Allowed? on: August 10, 2020, 11:35:15 PM
How best can this be handled?
I am thinking of reporting them to mods as spammers, but I am not sure if it's the right thing to do

3935  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: newbe and having this problem on: August 10, 2020, 02:39:22 PM
BrewMaster is talking about dust amounts and the probability of sending an amount smaller that dust amount to change address.
Dust is any output smaller than (currently) 546 satoshi.

Every transaction you make has one or multiple outputs. All of outputs must be bigger than 546 satoshi.

You already stated that you are sending 50 dollar worth of bitcoin. That's very bigger than dust amount. But your transaction can have another output as well. If there's any remaining fund in the address you are sending from, that will go to change address. The amount goes to change address must be greater than 546 satoshi as well.

Assume that you have 100,000 satoshi in an address and you want to send 95,000 satoshi. You pay 4,500 satoshi as transaction fee.
In the transaction you make you will have two outputs. The first output will be 95,000 satoshi and the second output will be 100,000-95,000-4,500 = 500 satoshi (smaller than dust amount)
To avoid such problem, you must change 95,000 to 95,500 or 4,500 to 5,000.

3936  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: newbe and having this problem on: August 10, 2020, 01:50:04 PM
Given the error you are getting, I guess you are trying to send a very small amount (dust).
Nodes reject transaction with an output smaller than 546 satoshi.
3937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] WPP ENERGY TOKEN - TOKEN TO BE TIED TO THE VALUE OF H2 on: August 10, 2020, 01:09:08 PM
Deposit Open but, nothing can do because Wpp on Digifinex is a new WPP token with new smart contract.
They have already announced that WPP tokens will be swapped to new tokens.
The instruction on how to swap tokens is yet to be announced.
3938  Other / Meta / Re: Opening Mutiple Ann Threads - Allowed? on: August 09, 2020, 07:42:49 PM
This type of spam is a bit tricky. The threads are not merely duplicates. Such "discussions" are harder to report convincingly, particularly if other members actually join the discussion and it's not just a shillfest. I guess as long as the OP of the thread puts some effort into making it look like a discussion then we'll have to tolerate it.

Whenever I see a topic with a link to external website, I visit the post history of the user.
If there are multiple topics with that certain link, I report some of them (all of them, if they are not many) consecutively and ask moderators to check the post history as well.

These kind of reports are usually marked as good.
3939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which GOLD backed coin/token do you think the best? on: August 08, 2020, 04:44:56 PM
in all honesty, I would prefer to buy gold in the real world and hold it in my home safe, I don't see why people buy these altcoins,
You can use such altcoin for trading.
Many people use tether for trading, although there is no evidence that tether is really backed by dollar.
There is no doubt, a token backed by gold is better than a token backed by a fiat money that can be easily printed by Federal Reserve and we don't know if it is really backed by that fiat money.

A token backed by real gold can be used for buying and selling gold anonymously and very fast.
You can also buy and sell tokens backed by gold at any fraction. You can even buy and sell 1 dollar worth of tokens.
3940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TX staying in the memory pool question on: August 07, 2020, 08:18:59 PM
After all nodes receive a transaction, how much time is the penalty that it will remove them from their memory pool if no one has mined it? Exactly 2 weeks?
That's not exactly 2 weeks.
Nodes usually drop unconfirmed transactions after (about) 14 days. But there is no general rule.
Visit the link below and read the article on Bitcoin Wiki.
Transaction expiration
