3941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: April 30, 2021, 11:03:55 PM
Spreading out negative information about bitcoin really will not do so much harm, rather it will help spread the name even further. For something to really gain popularity, it requires both positive and negative news, because truth is some people who always want to be in a position to tell their friends "I told you so" only pay attention to things when the news as regards it is negative.

I see no reason why altcoin users should have anything against bitcoin, because buying/owning btc does not stop or hinder me from doing the same with another altcoin say doge. There's really enough space in the crypto world for any cryptocurrency even apart from Bitcoin, to fly.

3942  Other / Politics & Society / When will the vaccination end? on: April 30, 2021, 01:42:14 AM
Since Covid is a global pandemic, I am curious to know if it is in the plan to vaccinate everyone in the world? Do you think it is even possible to vaccinate everyone in the world? If not, why then have they started something they will not finish? Is this not just another way to put a pipe from the countries economy to the pocket of our politicians?
3943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2021, 01:12:43 AM
The Manchester United team is really all out to win this league, it was a massive demolition for Roma. Cavani was everywhere tonight, really proofing to us all that he is world-class like Pogba and still formidable, and then Bruno Fernandez has to be one of the best midfielders in the world.
3944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Or Invest ? on: April 29, 2021, 03:45:27 AM
If you trust your trading skills and you are certain that you can increase your portfolio, trading can work for you especially day trading. However if you do not trust your trading skills or someone is asking you to bring your capital for him or her to trade for you, it is best you just invest it rather than loose your capital in one trading session or to one wannabe.
3945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Do you run when you fail or loose in a trade? on: April 29, 2021, 01:32:13 AM
I met someone who spoke bitterly against cryptotrading, he spoke of how he had a fortune in his trading account that disappeared completely in one night, he spoke of how he fell into depression and sickness soon followed because of overthinking of how to pick up and get back up on his feet financially. Now he is a strong advocate against anything trading crypto, how sad and dissapointing.

I didn't want to go through the rigor of trying to preach the message of crypto and share my testimonials from my little successful trades because our meeting was short lived as we were in transit, but the big question that i kept asking myself afterwards was -

"How many persons loose in a trade, and then go back to find out why they lost, and the mistakes they made?"

(I am bringing this topic here to point out amd encourage everyone that needs encouragement, that it is always best to find out the reason behind every loss we make in trading. It might not be easy, but try not to fall into depression suddenly, go back and find out the excesses and mistakes in your analysis in preparation for the BIG WIN, it is not easy, but you can do it)

3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk statement on his Bitcoin holding on: April 29, 2021, 12:00:12 AM
It is common knowledge that It is quite easier for a man with little financial challenges to hold on to his investment (say bitcoin) through the highs and lows without even thinking of shedding off a little quarter to solve some problems.  Elon Musk's is a wealthy and influential individual whose major problem is no longer finance, for reasons like this, there is a high possibility that his claims are true.
3947  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RELIGION IT'S POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE IMPACT ON SOCIETY on: April 28, 2021, 03:53:01 PM
Exactly @ op religion has caused and brought so much propaganda in our recent society many believers today argue blindly about religion and Christianity ✝️ there’s indeed a close thin line between the both and it is often confused for being outrightly religious, most pastors now try to extort money from their congregation all in the name of offerings and tithes once more again religion has brought more negativity and comparisons in our society than I can literally imagine.

Although the issue with Christianity is often the focus behind many people's response like this, Religion does not just pertain to Christianity , church services and pastors. Religion is a general organized set of beliefs that a group of persons hold dear. As a matter of fact, if you follow world history, even before the origin of Christianity, humans always sought to place beliefs in things or forces they could not see as a way to feel connected to a source.
When one begins to fall deep into those beliefs and starts to eliminate normal human logical reasoning, one has become too religious, and when one becomes too religious, he/she begins to act as though they have been brainwashed, and this is a major problem.
3948  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What does the indian government do about the coronavirus in india right now? on: April 28, 2021, 02:51:13 PM
It is really an overwhelming situation for any government to handle, no matter how organized it is. The Indian government has done and is doing the very best to try and handle the situation, it is always easier to cast blame when you are not in power, and it is normal for opposition parties to take advantage of this current situation to heep blame on the current government for not doing enough.

This is a time for the government to solicit for international help from other countries and communities that can provide assistance and relief materials to the poor and needy that have been locked down and health supplies to their health sector to assist.
3949  Other / Politics & Society / Re: India covid19 crisis on: April 28, 2021, 02:36:27 PM
Earlier today people are blaming the country political parties for pressing ahead with crowded campaign rallies for state elections...
I suggest that the politicians should be held responsible for their inept behavior.

As much as this might be one of the reasons and politicians a contributor to the following increase in number,  it might not be the only reason for the spike. Researchers and doctors have pointed a possible spike as a result of a new variant of the virus.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2021/04/28/world/asia/india-covid19-variant.amp.html

It is said that the new variant in india, attacks both young adults and children, and even some doctors who had already received the vaccine formerly again exhibited some symptoms of the virus.

We all need to put India in our prayers and hope for the best for them, because the number of daily deaths is increasing steadily by the day.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major arguments against Bitcoin born out of ignorance on: April 28, 2021, 03:01:49 AM
Truth is, if we had these arguments some years back maybe at the very
early stages of bitcoin, many of us here who are now quick to show solidarity for bitcoin would have held a contrasting opinion then. It is fair to say that at some point in our lives, we held some ignorant beliefs and ideologies about bitcoin as well, that on enlightenment we found out that that those ideologies didn't hold water and that they were just mere assumptions.

Whenever you come across someone who you perceive is speaking out of ignorance, please do well as an individual that has been enlightened to try your best to patiently try to help clarify his/her ignorant claims with facts and testimonials.
3951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are females welcomed in gambling thread? on: April 27, 2021, 08:19:08 PM
Although we have more males than females when it is comes to gambling, gambling is not only for males likewise discussions involving gambling. I personally have some female friends who are very much keem on gambling and sports discussions. So "yes",  as far as your discussion is constructive and on point, females like you are allowed anytime anyday in the gambling thread.
3952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2021, 08:10:45 PM
Benzema has to be one of the most underrated strikers of all time in the champions League with his 70 goal mark, making him the 5th top scorer in the champions League all time record, I hope he can be the difference for Real Madrid. In between, It would have been great to start Olivier Giroud in this game, it will be spectacular to see two french strikers go head on.
3953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: mistake to avoid on: April 27, 2021, 10:56:51 AM
If i properly understand you, you are saying that you missed out on some opportunities to make profit from a coin even with the hype because you were holding on to the coin that you thought will give you profit. As much as it seems very good to jump from one coin to another on every news of  a potential increase, it is not always the best. Patience is key most times, the coin you have today still has a high chance of gaining numbers tomorrow, nobody knows.

You would have called it a miracle if the reverse was the case, say the coins you heard were going to go up, did not go up, but rather started to fall. You would have been glad you didn't trade your coins for them.
3954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Scalping even viable in Cryptocurrencies? on: April 27, 2021, 09:26:40 AM
If you are a scalp trader, it means you have to be monitoring the market at all times, because your profit depends solely on it. Scalping can be viable in trading if the amount you use in trading is really very large such that even your 1% profit is a good sum. If you however trade with small small amount of money, scalping might not be a very viable method to make good profit.
3955  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2fa authentication yobit on: April 27, 2021, 05:21:18 AM
Truth be told, it is best you accept, not forget and learn from this experience, because it next to impossible to recover your account without the 2fa. I used 2fa for my luno account that was tied to my previous phone, the phone fell, the screen smashed beyond repair, i haven't been able to find a replacement for the screen yet. It is over a year now, and i have not been able to get back the access to my account.  I have to wait till whenever i get a replacement for the screen before i can get back in. You better mover on.
3956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW IMPORTANT IS STOP LOSS on: April 27, 2021, 04:42:17 AM
If you can actively monitor your trade 24/7, you might not necessarily need a stop loss. I have friends that are full time traders, they are always online monitoring the market, some do not really use the stop loss all the time. When asked, one gave a particularly very striking reason. He said that if there might be a fall ( a loss) before there is a massive profit spike in a trade, so if you play it too safe and set your stop loss prematurely, you might save your penny and miss out massively on some future gains.

I hope there is a lesson to learn from this my story.
3957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Cryptocurrency, now a fast rising trend! on: April 27, 2021, 04:25:57 AM
Cryptocurrency is becoming more of a trend, almost everyone has heard about someone whose life changed for the better because of cryptocurrency, because of these shinning prospects,  many more are latching in to get the gains without first seeking to get the knowledge.

So Mr Z got rich from owning crypto?  that's what many heard, so many already feel rich because they have one small fraction of a crypto. What many many need to know is that,

(a) Having a small fraction of any crypto might not get you rich, to see real gains, try to procure "One" or more.

(b) Most times, only the rich can get richer from trading. Sounds very controversial, but think of this, if two friends follow a signal and enter a trade, one with $50 and the other with $500. If everything works out well, both will be in gains, but the profit margin of both individuals will be different. This Illustration further supports the claim that only the rich can get richer from trading.

(C) Hodling a cryptocurrency with no definite plans in mind might not make you rich. You might just have your initial capital dancing around a range of figures.

3959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 25, 2021, 11:53:35 PM
We all know the crash is temporary, and another chance for many to buy the dip (even the more reason to laugh). To the hodlers of btc, dips are highly expected and an indication for a leap afterwards. If you feel sad because btc is crashing, it means you are a short term hodler with a blurry vision of the future of btc. Long term hodlers and visionaries know that regardless of the current situation and circumstances affecting the price of bitcoin, the future is still very much bright.
3960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt believes that Biden may do a lot of damage to bitcoin on: April 25, 2021, 11:32:10 PM
I believe that whatever the damage that this new tax proposal from Joe Biden administration will cause to bitcoin will be short lived. This new taxing proposal shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone because Biden's plan to tax the rich was already made public and known even during his campaign. Joe Biden has a difficult and significant task to manage the countries economy, especially at a time like this (Pandemic), some difficult decisions will have to be made to keep the country going. As far as the new tax proposal doesn't take more out from the poor and middle income earners, I believe the rich are rich enough to adjust to the proposed change. It is all panic selling and liquidation at the moment, afterwards, any major crypto positive news will sky rocket the price back of bitcoin up to an even higher ATH.
