Very good topic. Can you add information on paying crypto taxes in Croatia? Here is the official opinion of the Croatian Tax Administration on "Tax treatment of capital gains based on cryptocurrency trading": https://www.porezna-uprava.hr/HR_publikacije/Lists/mislenje33/Display.aspx?id=19570In short, the tax is paid at the rate of 12%, and then increased by the surtax of the competent municipality / city. I later came across the interpretation that if crypto funds are kept in the wallet for at least 2 years, and this can be proven to the tax administration, that a complete tax exemption is possible, but it is better to check it first with the competent tax office. Thank you, I will look at the material and possibly publish a guide on tax in your country in a separate post on this topic. OK thank you. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything in English about this important topic so you probably only have Google translate left ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) EDIT: OK I find also something in English what may help (Unfortunately the news is not the latest): https://www.irglobal.com/article/cripto-currency-taxation-in-croatiahttps://bitfalls.com/2018/02/09/croatias-announcement-taxing-cryptocurrency/

After another high victory for Bayern, the Croatian portal Index published an interesting question: ''Do you know when the last time Bayern did not win? https://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/znate-li-kad-zadnji-put-bayern-nije-pobijedio/2215131.aspxTry to guess before you read the answer below ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) A series of victories of Bayern is impressive and started with the match against Leipzig more than half a year ago, on February 9. After that, Bayern won an incredible 23 games in a row. They lost their last game last year to Borussia Mönchengladbach, December 7th. This is really a rarely seen dominance in football.

Every big company has a financial advisor, surely big companies decide to invest in Bitcoin for a reason. It is impossible for big companies to make decisions without careful calculation and consideration. Those who are starting to be interested in Bitcoin will definitely see Bitcoin's performance is quite good compared to investing in stocks, because investing in stocks that are affected by the current pandemic situation. This is very good news for the crypto community with big companies starting to invest in Bitcoin, hopefully this can increase the trust of many people. And there could be mass adoption of Bitcoin as expected.
Certainly this decision was not made without careful analysis and study of the market. Here I will translate 1 more part of the article below which may better explain the reasons for this decision and the whole process. https://crobitcoin.com/unicorn-kompanije-kupila-bitcoin-za-425m-dolara/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=newsMichael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, has not always been a fan of Bitcoin. Back in 2013, he tweeted: "Bitcoin's days are numbered. It seems like it's only a matter of time before they experience the same fate as online gambling. ” Saylor admitted to reading numerous books and articles about Bitcoin and blockchain. When he realized "what this is about", he admitted that he was wrong. The COVID-19 crisis only further convinced him of the usefulness of Bitcoin and he is currently preaching about his discovery in the company. He gave all the managers homework as everyone was in line with the new company policy. He said Bitcoin was a much safer investment and that he felt like he was sitting on a $ 500 million melting iceberg. This is how he wants to secure an investment for more than 100 years. Very interesting change of opinion, what do you think? EDIT: I also stumbled upon a very detailed interview from the CEO of MicroStrategy, it's very interesting: https://www.coindesk.com/microstrategy-michael-saylor-never-sell-bitcoin

But when it comes to a safe asset part , there is literally a lot of problems that one has to take into account.
- Volatility is here to stay
It always has been, but it has shown pretty positive growth, for the past year, plus, it isn't like the banks are actually in a good situation right now, so it's probably a better risk for them to actually invest in Bitcoin instead of letting it sit as a fiat. Besides, if this investment of theirs were to show growth, that's a big thing for them, but the same could be said vice versa. Also it seems like they also did invest in the past? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5268180.0 Looked around since the name MicroStrategy was quite familiar with me. So is it this, plus the amount said in the article OP said, or is the one from the OPs article a total of the Bitcoin they bought? Since if it was added, then it'd obviously exceed their cash reserves of $500m but if it was total, then it seems to add up properly. As I understand from the article, $425 million is total amount of money they invested in btc.

Behind is an abbreviated translation of my own post here in the Croatian section of the forum. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276508.0I believe that the facts presented are of greater importance to the wider bitcoin community, so I decided to transfer my post here (in English). The owner of one large firm (MicroStrategy Inc), worth more than $1 billion, the so-called "unicorn" decided, driven by inflation and uncertainty around the dollar and fiat currencies, to invest in bitcoins as a "safer investment." He believes it is not safe for the company's cash reserves, about $500 million to keep in fiat and he has decided to invest that money in bitcoin. According to the report, he bought a total of 38,250 Bitcoins at a purchase price of $425 million. So something new has started here, and when this becomes a trend, and other companies also start investing in bitcoin as a "safe asset" I think we will see a sharp rise in the value of bitcoin and a drop in the value of fiat currencies. You can see the full article here (in Croatian): https://crobitcoin.com/unicorn-kompanije-kupila-bitcoin-za-425m-dolara/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=newsWhat do you think?

Dinamo from Croatia lost in Hungary and continues to compete in the EL. Another bad game of a club that was very close last season to pass the group stage of the CL and after the departure of the best Olmo and the coach again become an average club.

In the past I've had a few merit giveaways topics in beginners section in the forum. I wanted to help newbies to receive their first merits but eventually gave up. Most of the reported posts from the newbies were of very poor quality, and did not deserve merits. Not only that, but after closing such topics, I would receive private messages from newbies begging me to give them merits. I simply gave up on such a way of sharing merit and now I try to find myself quality and good posts that deserve merits.
If there is a giveaway merit like this then newbies will look for topics that they are good at, well of course they don't have good knowledge about the topics that are sent in your thread so that it is not feasible and bad, yes, the average newbie just wants to merit with the report quality posts and can't judge which one is better. still understandable. But it is also true that the future of this forum is if we continue to do this without finding extraordinary topics then it will be bad if you force it but it would be better if you find good topics then it deserves merit because of that you have found it. I started merit giveaway in the beginners section of the forum and I did not seek any specific area, topic or knowledge from newbies. I just asked them to report their quality posts for merits that they wrote anywhere on the forum, provided that they are in English so I can understand them. I did not want to give merit just for any application and I asked for at least some minimum quality standard or concrete contribution to the forum.

Recently, there has been euphoria in the Turkish club Fenerbahçe SK after the news that they are bringing in two famous strikers, Mandjukic and Diego Costa. The club has just issued an official statement denying everything. This is likely to be a "cold shower" for their fanatical fans. And of course, the question still remains where Mandjukic will go. Is it really possible? It seems Real has finally found a way to get rid of Bale in a way that Tottenham pay his full wages and Real cover his bonuses. Is this finally a winning combination and an agreement that suits everyone interested? If this deal is finally realized Real will probably celebrate more than when they became European or Spanish champions ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/09/16/5f61e2d9268e3e1f468b45c4.html
