3941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: April 14, 2015, 10:04:25 PM
Yes indeed 0.1 BTC from faucets just got booked, thank you faucets  Grin

Waoo that really Nice earning from faucets. But How Did you made this much amount from faucets? Are you using 100 faucets and working on them 24 hours lol
0.1 from faucets its pretty insane these days. I wonder if he uses bots or something, otherwise he might doing a full time job for that... not sure if worth it.
3942  Economy / Speculation / Re: So Btc takes a hit again. Alt coins impact for Btc explained, maybe on: April 14, 2015, 09:52:53 PM
I seems to me that every time a hardcore pump happens with an alt coin, lately also known as crave, which was the last great event, the price of Bitcoin drops. I see this as newcomers taking advantage of the crypo market, that bought into a pump group and took their profit asap. I do not feel that any crypto savvy folks would just sell their profits at the current price. I guess i could write it off as shit happens, but taking advantage of a unstable market and making it more unstable just equals total disaster.
I keep hearing about this crave thing and somehow totally missed it. It isn't even on poloniex? whats the link and why did I got an huge pump? is just pure speculation or its a good asset?
3943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can the Bitcoin Foundation best help Bitcoin? From New Exec Director on: April 14, 2015, 09:44:30 PM
My advice is that you hire someone like Andreas Antonopoulous to do the marketing. Then again, I wouldn't like to see him affected by corruption of other members of the Bitcoin Foundation, like has happened before.
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something big in the next few days? on: April 14, 2015, 09:40:51 PM
The only thing big in the next few days in all honesty is "Tax Day" April 15th in the USA.

Not sure that has anything to do with Bitcoin at all though...
Some may cash out. Anyway something will happen for sure, after tomorrow. The guy doing TA on the other thread is spot on so far, I can trust him.
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many new jobs have been created thanks to Bitcoin? on: April 14, 2015, 09:36:51 PM
Companies like Xapo are creating new services: basically banks for Bitcoin. All their security measures will need for new jobs to take care of people's Bitcoins.
3946  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sold at 450$ ? on: April 13, 2015, 09:12:06 PM
I sold at 650 last year. Problem is I had bought at 700. Upshot is it would be 220 today. I was able to minimize my loss. Thank god I'm not a HODL'er.

You'll cry and ask why in 5 years. You jump off a very tall building in 10 years.

J/K'ing, but you'll regret tho.
3947  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 week target $160 on: April 13, 2015, 09:10:00 PM
Kwuk's going to miss the deadline by a few weeks. But, bitcoin's march to $160 continues...
Kwuk has failed, so will Kwuk under "farting_shot" and all your other accounts will fail. Just give up buddy.
3948  Economy / Economics / Re: Traditional Banks and Bitcoin on: April 13, 2015, 09:08:12 PM
Micro payments that are possible with bitcoin are not possible in the banking system. Things like minimum account balance, maintenance fees and so on are non-existent. To open a bank account you have to money, multiple forms of government ID, mailing address and on and on ...... with a bitcoin wallet you need a smart phone or free access to the internet at a public library. Done, there's your no fee, no minimum balance bank account that can transfer funds anywhere in the world for no or extremely low transfer fees. and much more. If you still don't get why you are insane to not be in Bitcoin right now, wou're thinking very 2 dimensionally. Bitcoins potential is extreme when you really start looking at what it could do.

Fundamentally, banks are in the business of pricing (credit) risk. This can continue in the Bitcoin world too. Banks can still make money by lending.
It is only recently that banks have started focussing on fee income (maintenance fees, transaction fees, etc) because it carries no risk. They have always been in the business of lending and collecting interest.

I do agree that Bitcoin and banks can be "friends", if not friends, coexist. I dont think Bitcoin will effectively replace national currencies, but both systems will coexists and create a sort of balance (ying-yang sort of stuff), a system that is deflationary and a system that is inflationary that can interact with each other.
3949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin student survey on: April 13, 2015, 09:00:39 PM
Im doing it and its taking more than the 5-10 min expected Smiley will need to leave it for later because my dinner is ready.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you would be able to get back in early 2009, what would you do? on: April 13, 2015, 08:58:29 PM
So, if you come back in 2009, how would you structure your BTC related investments. Please post only scenarios which are financially viable. For example, I would take my $7 mil and buy every BTC domain known to man is not going to work. Only stuff you were able to do at that point in time pls.

Let us hear how would you make your millions in case you had a time machine to come back to 2009.  Grin
Sell my house, sell everything inside my house, sell my car (if I had one).
Get all that useless fiat and go all in with Bitcoin.
Hold for 15 years and realize I dont even need to sell.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Better than bitcoin" altcoin sellers arrested for stealing $340 million on: April 13, 2015, 08:55:49 PM

In a bust on Friday, Thai police arrested four executives on charges of operating a pyramid scheme selling a cryptocurrency called “Utoken”, and stealing over 10 billion baht (roughly US$310 million).

http://www.coinbuzz.com/2015/04/13/arrests-in-ufun-crypto-currency-pyramid-scheme/

Definitely one of the biggest bitcoin-related scams in recent times. I myself have not heard of Utoken before, and they stole 1/3 billion USD.

Makes me wonder how many other scams/ponzis are still running out there and how much money they have. Your thoughts?
Pretty scary how they managed to raise 310 million... people is pretty naive, specially when they believe "this cryptocurrency is better than Bitcoin".
3952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we cross the bearline in April? on: April 12, 2015, 11:12:58 PM
I think we will cross the bear line in 2015. I dont know for sure, but if we do, i dont think we will for long. However, i could be completely wrong.

Very concrete analysis.

That's like "ways to store wealth before Bitcoin was invented" / "ways to store wealth after Bitcoin was invented".
3953  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is like a subprime bubble on: April 12, 2015, 11:11:03 PM
The bubble will burst sooner or later, at some point nobody will want BTC.

subprime mortgage loans seemed to be safe at that time,
if they can't pay back, banks will just sell their home
that's why banks gave loans to virtually everyone. But you know what happened in 2008.

BTC is backed by very weak concept mining,
mining itself isn't strong enough to justify current BTC price.

BTC, only early adoptors were rewarded, and they are the ones creating bubbles,
they don't care what happens to you, they already cashed enough money,
so what they can do is sustain their position by creating bigger bubble.

Jesus christ. Yeah let's ignore everything that makes Bitcoin unprecedented and let's compare it to some shitty financial product.
You guys need to get better with your shit tier FUD.
3954  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: April 12, 2015, 11:09:54 PM
The Euro is as flawed as the USD today, its part of the same rotten construct.

So don't jawbone about Greece until the cows come home.

Greece is nothing, the geoplolitics of financial war and reset vital to THREE generations of first world people IS the real agenda.

And that is more than some piddling principle on which people start frothing at the mouth.

Haircuts are invevitable and they will be painful for all.

It's really time to end socialism and communism dont you think its been far too long...

It's economically impossible to sustain this ponzi scheme of welfare states, time to move on

Have fun finding a solution that isn't basic welfare for the massive permanent unemployment due technological automation destroying more jobs than new jobs can be created that is going to be exponential forever.
3955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: factom transactions... on: April 12, 2015, 11:07:44 PM
It's annoying/flood tier advertisements. Is this going to be a legit thing beyond a pump and dump? considering getting some.
3956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and closing tax havens on: April 12, 2015, 11:03:48 PM
Tax evasion is a problem everywhere, I guess eventually some people might use bitcoin for that purpose, I don't think bitcoin is particularly good for criminal activity, the digital trail may be very difficult to eliminate nd law enforcement agencies will get up to date with latest technology, eventually.
What the hell are they going to do after you run your coins throught a mixer? or even depositing your coins on an exchange with a fake email using a VPN then withdrawing. The trail is cut after that. I dont think they are going to go after that many problems, unless you are like moving billions or something.
3957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just to complicated for the average person to use.. on: April 12, 2015, 10:56:29 PM
TIL Bitcoin users are above the 'average' person.
I will tell you this, now it is just infancy time for bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general. Imagine internet in mid 90. When the only way to use an internet was to own a modem and pay gigantic phone bills everymonth.
Bitcoin is new and might be eccentric even for some people but will tell you this! "Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric."

Yeah, now even our parents use the internet. Imagine how crazy is that. Even some grandparents know how to send email.
Give it time guys, Bitcoin is a guaranteed success, it just needs a decade.
3958  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Did rotator; tell me what you think. on: April 12, 2015, 10:55:11 PM
I tried to use a translator, but for some reason Google refused to translate the site, it doesn't work.
3959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sold at 450$ ? on: April 11, 2015, 05:17:12 PM
In 10 years you'll look back at threads like this and laugh. Literally crying about how this or that sold at what will look like mere market noise in the all time graph.
That who can't hold is not cut for this.
3960  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: April 11, 2015, 05:10:46 PM
Buy one and be one a slave for twenty years. If you survive, you can then regret not buying more and retiring earlier.

How many would you say you say it's require to retire in 20 years then?
I also like the idea of having 21 Bitcoin, since only max 1 million people will have 21 Bitcoins, but given BTCs arent distributed evenly it will be even harder to be part of the almighty 21 Group.

the usual target is 100 with a price target of 10k, 100 bitcoin are not that hard to acquire, 10k value instead look almost impossible right now, but the future may hold a good surprise

1M should be enough for many, to retire

Lol 100 BTC are pretty hard to adquire... how are you going to adquire 100 BTC before price goes 10K or anything near it? because the higher the price goes, the harder it will become. It's a ticking clock.
