3941  Other / Meta / Re: Hacked account - Slark on: June 10, 2018, 10:51:54 PM
Our thief is a crooked scammer. He knew he bought someone else's account and one that had used a different address so he started deleting posts by previous owner, probably to get rid of his addresses. He also saw this thread but didn't respond. Instead he went on to stake his new address.

-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
I'm Slark and this is my private address.
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----

HBpoCDiUGa0S5sbV1YyOuskXhNs4O+sILpGwAVCFRPFwLIGbU+7nowNt0scWhv1W2wYn9pzDuDBNNHA6KzDlM7k=
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

When this did not work he tried to play the victim and blame it all on the seller.
I wish there was a way to track his future activity. He's going to be a great addition to the forum, a real gem.
3942  Other / Meta / Re: The Newbie/spammers problem. Solution anyone? on: June 10, 2018, 10:43:49 PM
If someone has the potential to make bank from here, they shouldn't be able to register multiple accounts to exploit and cheat the system, at the expense of other peoples work, knowledge and insight.

Why? More than one account doesn't have to mean spam. There are people here who have more than 1 account and are not making any money on it. At the same time there are people here with more than one account and only one in a campaign. Don't put them all in one basket with newbies who come here hoping for a good and easy gain.
Making sure each person has only 1 account would reduce spam for sure, but how would you enforce it? Confirmation links would be an improvement but you can make a new mailbox almost instantly. A phone maybe? But what about those who have a couple numbers? I think it can't be done.
3943  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: June 04, 2018, 09:16:48 PM
Yes we are obliged to pay taxes. because ofbpajaklahlah we can enjoy state facilities.

WTF is ofbpajaklahlah? Cheesy Did you cat jump on your keyboard?

Even we dont want to pay taxes we cant do anything even we say tax is a theft what we can do.here in our country they aldreafy deduct tax in our salary so before we receive our salary irs already deducted

Then you have to start being your own boss instead of working for someone else and depending on him paying your salary.
You can also work for cash or cryptocurrency. I'd like to see them deducting from that.
3944  Other / Meta / Re: Disable sign. camp. officially to prevent spam & know true value of merit system on: June 04, 2018, 09:14:14 PM
OP is suggesting to disable the signature for Jr members globally.

Most of us can read, even such posts as his. It's not the fault of the campaign that its participant is spamming. There were numerous similar threads and the questions remained the same. Those are questions not only for OP, but also for those in favor of signature banning/disabling.
What makes you think that those jr. members won't keep spamming to get higher rank and finally be able to join a campaign?
Why only jr. members? If you believe that campaigns are to blame for the spam, ask for them to be disabled for all ranks.
They are already earning dust for their posts and risking a ban for spamming, their life is hard as it is.
3945  Other / Meta / Re: A description of the Bitcoin Talk merit system on: June 04, 2018, 08:56:13 PM
Whoops! I didn't realise that came from you. I guess I'm a bit oversensitive about some things.

I think you are a long way from the netherworld, so don't go hiding from us, we need you. Smiley

Don't worry about it, he didn't put a happy face in his post, it's his fault Wink

Peoples will easily understand when you explain the merits system on visual illustrations (such as Whiteboard animation) instead of giving the alias to "merits" and "sMerit"

Please no, last thing we need here is a series of graphics about merit. What audience would that be targeting? Primary school children? Illiterate morons? What if they actually came and answered the thread with drawings of little merit fairies leaving gifts under the pillow?
3946  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC is bullshit on: June 04, 2018, 08:35:02 PM
It's a bit frustation but when they require us to give KYC means that they are need something that act as collateral because they may experience many scam at past so they want to prevent bad things in the future.
Personally, I will give my KYC only if I trust the project 100% !

If I followed your logic I wouldn't give my information to anyone because I only trust myself 100%, even my wife would get 99%, and an online project launched by someone who I didn't even meet in person would be at 50% tops.

Nobody knows your details if you don't use KYC? What about everywhere else that has your data? Your mobile phone. Your internet. Your banking. Your Subway loyalty card. Are you a ghost? (...)

A bank can't compare to a coin exchange or an ICO. I had to set up a bank account even before I was 18 because this was the only way to get a job or receive scholarship. You have to do it or you won't be getting any money, ever. That's how the modern society is built. So, I didn't want to be a poor hermit all my life gathering berries and begging for money, I went to a bank and gave them my information.
This doesn't mean that I have to share this information with random people in the Internet. You can allow one or two companies to have your data and be completely fine. Start giving it away online and you'll get into trouble sooner or later and when that happens you won't even be able to tell who sold you. I feel rather safe knowing that if someone steals my identity it had to be the bank, or some other government institution, because nobody else has it. How about you?
3947  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are some countries still so rich and others so poor on: June 04, 2018, 08:20:52 PM
Sometimes reading these questions make me feel like I'm in primary school teaching 8 year olds.
A country can be poor because of its political situation (like ongoing wars), geographical situation (lack of connection with transport routes, no sea access), geology (no natural resources, barren soil), too cold or too hot climate, that makes the living conditions harsh. The more of these things you can add to the list the worse for the country.
3948  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people don't vote? on: June 04, 2018, 08:10:38 PM
Let's talk on examples. During one of the recent elections in Russia people came to vote and found out that very early in the day the urn was already full of ballots. When the votes were counted, they counted the percents and the total number exceeded 100%, so more than the total number of citizens had to vote on that day. Anyway, Putin won, as always.
3949  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you explain terrorism to a child? on: June 04, 2018, 08:01:07 PM
The simple way to explain terrorism to a child, is making the child know the implications to telling lies and believing the wrong things.
So you'd describe a terrorist as a liar who believes in wrong things? That's so accurate, the child would most likely start calling its misbehaving friends that way.
-I ate ice cream yesterday!
-I don't believe you!
-You terrorist!

Cheesy
3950  Other / Meta / Re: It's very difficult to get merit and higher ranks don't like bounty to be a job? on: May 28, 2018, 09:58:30 PM
Another problem: since the introduction of the merit, thousands of members have written thousands of pages exclusively on the subject...

Isn't that -ironically- a form of spam?

This time and energy should be spent on better projects.

Yes but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The complaints about the merit system are restricted to the meta board and will soon die off once everyone is familiar with the merit system.

Not really. Many threads about the merit system, including complaints, appear in beginners and help. It should be renamed begging and help Cheesy

Quote
It's not really spam when a feature is being discussed either. It's only spam if it's being repeated over and over and no new points are being made which is the case with some of the threads.

But it's being repeated over and over. If you take the essence of every thread about merit you'll see that 90% of them concentrate on one of the 3 things.
1. Merit is shit, I don't like it, thanks to it new people are discriminated.
2. How can I get merit? Why you guys are hoarding it? My posts are good and still no merit!
3. Merit is being abused, I want to report an abuser.
3951  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for helping on moderating the forum (?!) on: May 28, 2018, 09:47:24 PM
I remember reading a thread about xandry's way of meriting some time ago and yes he was giving merit to people who help him with the spam in the russian section. IMO this is a double edged sword because what is stopping you from spamming with one account and reporting it with another in hope that xandry will see it and reward you? If he can't handle the spam himself, he should share the position with another staff member.
3952  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are there good sides in a war? on: May 28, 2018, 09:39:12 PM
Technically there are some good sides. War is the time of the fastest technological development and progress. Of course people have to endure the hardships and live in constant fear, but many inventions find their origin in war. Without the development of the atomic bomb we wouldn't be able to use nuclear reaction to generate power. This is just one example.
3953  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING- Scammed by bitcoin blenders on: May 28, 2018, 09:09:50 PM
I think that you're generalizing. You had problems with bitblender, but you're saying that all mixing services are bad. It's interesting that even though that thread in scam accusations exist nobody from bitblender came to answer it. They have a signature campaign on the forum so they must be coming here to check things out.
It seems that you've been using these addresses for some time because there are previous payments there.
1PBM8JU1RVzTgWp75R31wpF9f7CboFeWTK you sent them some money in February and it was all fine and then you sent in May and the money disappeared. I doubt they wanted to scam you because they processed the bigger payment and lost the small one.
3954  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree when people use prophets for fun? on: May 21, 2018, 08:54:01 PM
Its not funny at all when i see people using the name of Almighty God in their stupid wickedness.
The Bible says do not use the name of the Lord in vain, today the so called prophet hide under His to be performing their wickedness in the name of healings!
God is watching them all. Undecided Undecided

Yes, he's living in the sky, watching you masturbate! Cheesy
Do you really believe in this nonsense? That he will come down from the sky one day to judge your sins and that you will go to heaven or hell?
Saying this or that about any of the gods is just voicing opinions, it's just words. If they exist the last thing they'll care about is some John Doe calling their name because a hammer fell on his toe.
3955  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism vs capitalism ,which one is good for us ?? on: May 21, 2018, 08:21:27 PM
Socialism is good for us because, capitalism allows the rich to remove money from the economy, making the quality of life for everyone else worse. While socialism takes the excess that people do not need, and gives it to those who do.

And socialism wants the rich to pay for the poor's inability to work, laziness, and everything else. It creates a society where you are afraid to set up a business and make a lot of money to fuel the economy and give jobs because the more you will make the more taxes will await you. And the majority will be given for free so that the poor can learn to rely on the state and vote to keep everything going.

Politicians get elected by the majority which in most countries are the poor >>> they give money to the poor and take it from the rich >>> get elected again. But this has a huge flaw. The rich may one day decide they don't want to live in a country that steals from them and move somewhere else. France serves as an example.
3956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you were starting fresh with $10,000, Where would you put your money? on: May 21, 2018, 07:54:26 PM
20% in NEO
20% in ADA
20% in ETH
20% in BTC
10% in USD
10% in LTC

This will be my criteria for the 10000$ funds and I am also following the same criteria for my existing funds and I have all these coins in my portfolio.

Really? 10% in USD? Fuck USD, put it all in crypto. USD is not an investment.
If I were to choose It would be easy. 100% in BTC, the best coin out there. I don't have to waste time thinking about it and watching different charts. BTC and forget about it.
3957  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you explain terrorism to a child? on: May 20, 2018, 05:46:23 PM
If it's my child, I'll tell the child there are some people who do bad things to hurt people, sometimes not because they want to, other times because they want to be wicked.
That’s only going to fill the child with fear and nothing else. It will be better if you let the children enjoy childhood rather than filling him with fear that might bring psychological problems to him.

This is not a matter  of what the child will think and how it will process the information. It's a question meaning to check whether you are capable of explaining a complex term in basic language. They are not asking whether it's appropriate to tell it to a child, but if you would be able to.
3958  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POPULATION on: May 20, 2018, 05:43:54 PM
How to live comfortable in an over populated environment?

Leave that environment and go somewhere where there's plenty of space and freedom. The world is huge and there will always be places with a very limited population. It's funny how so many people fight for a piece of land in Japan or China, while there's so much room for all of them to fit in other countries. We should stop being attached to the places where we were born and limited by borders. Life is too short for that.
3959  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what are the best possible export of north korea to the usa? on: May 20, 2018, 05:40:47 PM
North Korea's land is largely unexploited. They have large untapped reserves of oil, industrial metals, etc. They could probably be very prosperous if they had a working, global economy. Though I've heard some speculate that one of the reasons the US has been so consistently hostile to North Korea (eg. violating the terms of the nuclear agreement from a few decades ago; though not to say that NK isn't an insane, dictatorial regime) is that they want to either have significant control over these resources, or they want nobody to have these resources.
That's correct. The USA is always looking for money and resources abroad and trying to manipulate public opinion to show its actions as justified. If we look at the facts, the US invaded Iraq because they were supposed to be producing nuclear weapons, which turned out to be a lie. They did not leave the country when this lie came to life, no, they kept robbing and exploiting it for years. This was the real reason for the invasion, but since the propaganda turned most of the world into its allies in this attack, there was no pressure on the USA to leave in disgrace.
The same plan is being put into motion now with NK. Show them as oppressed people in need of freedom and help from the West. Isn't that how the Vietnamese were portrayed prior to the invasion?
3960  Other / Off-topic / Re: Porn is creating transgenders on: May 07, 2018, 08:34:11 PM
Well from my point of view, if you're straight, you are straight. And if you're gay, you're really gay. No matter how many porn videos you watch, what you are or what you really like will prevail.

What about those people who lived half their lives as a person of one sex and then decided that they really want something else? Do you believe that deep down they were always a woman, not a man, just pretended for 30 years? I think that in some cases people are influenced by the society to undergo the procedure and change sex. They may be uncertain of it and thinking about it but then something or someone pushes them to do it.
