So the payment only covers that one account?  If I (or someone else at the IP address) wanted to make another account I (or they) would have to pay again?
Yes, as long as you register it from the same IP address and the address still has evil points tied to it (afaik evil points vanish over time, don't know details though).
3942  Other / Meta / Re: What is a Proxyban? on: March 31, 2016, 10:19:39 PM
Are you saying that they can only do a proxyban on a brand new account?  So it won't ever affect this account?
It's only affecting the registration, nothing more. Evil points won't affect any already registred accounts.

How evil could it be if they only want less than 2 cents?  I mean, what's the point?  If someone did something evil why such a small punishment?
It scales. Doesn't matter for 1 account maybe, but if you're registering 100 or more accounts (like the spam/fud accounts for ether or knc for example), that's something different.
3943  Other / Meta / Re: What is a Proxyban? on: March 31, 2016, 10:13:43 PM
So you are saying I might have to pay for something evil someone else did?
Yes, or you just register an account using another IP address, or you just don't register another account at all.

Also what I don't get is that the other account I made got that message, but this account didn't and I'm using the same IP address. So why the difference?
A lot of things can happen between February 15th and March 31st.
3944  Other / Meta / Re: What is a Proxyban? on: March 31, 2016, 09:50:11 PM
How is it straightforward?  I haven't used an account for evil.  The only thing I have done on this site is post comments.
It doesn't say "your account" though, does it? It clearly says "Your IP address".

I have never tried to route data through another server and I don't even know how to. So I wonder if my account was hacked.
Probably not.
Maybe you got a dynamic IP address from your ISP and are just unlucky to be assigned one with evil points on it.
Or you got a neighboring address and were assigned evil points for that reason.

Can I somewhere find out how much given IP has evil points?
Try to register an account with it.
3945  Other / Meta / Re: Account got hacked - Hacker is using my trust score to scam others on: March 31, 2016, 09:48:28 PM
How are you using it with Electrum? Did you create a new wallet with the "restore a wallet or import keys" option? That is the only way to import the private key.
No, it's not.
"Wallet -> Private Keys -> Import" works aswell.
(Unless the private key exported from blockchain.info is in some odd format electrum doesn't accept that way.)
3946  Other / Meta / Re: What is a Proxyban? on: March 31, 2016, 09:22:04 PM
Your IP address has previously been used for evil on this forum, or it is a known proxy/VPN/Tor exit node, so you are required to pay a small fee before you are able to post messages or send PMs. You can still use all of the read-only features without paying.
Pretty straightforward, isn't it?

Is this legit and why would I get this?  I thought we could have more than one account on Bitcoin Forum.  What is proxy/VPN/Tor exit node?
Yes, it's legit. Have a read here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1215937.0

I thought we could have more than one account on Bitcoin Forum.
You can.

What is a 131pB address?
An address starting with the prefix 131pB.

Can you sign this address avax?

3948  Other / Meta / Re: Account got hacked - Hacker is using my trust score to scam others on: March 31, 2016, 09:02:23 PM
Download the Bitcoin Core wallet: signing addresses with that wallet is very easy.
For any doubt or information feel free to ask.
Best regards.
But we need a signature from the address that user has previously used (and posted in a PM).
Hence only the 131pB address comes to mind.
However, if the user is unabled to export the private key from blockchain.info (or get to it in any other way),
downloading core won't be that much a help with this task.
3949  Other / Meta / Re: Account got hacked - Hacker is using my trust score to scam others on: March 31, 2016, 08:29:55 PM
Please help because with the new blockchain.info design there is no way to sign an address.
I'm aware of that. However, it's not for me to decide what is sufficient to prove ownership.
We (xetsr, shorena and I) have already left negative trust to your (hacked) account, so it hopefully won't be used to scam anyone else.

Currently, it's about recovering it (-> giving control back to you).
In the sticky thread (here) theymos is pretty clear about the requirement of a signed message.

Quote
I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. If I point you to this thread, you can't prove ownership properly, and then I ignore your future PMs, this means that I'm not going to recover your account. Create a new one.

You can take a shot though, PM theymos, explain the situation and point to this thread.
Good luck with it!

however it seems blockchain.info changed their design so that tutorial, is not helping me see where to sign an address with the new design.
If you are using the new beta wallet, I think there currently is no option to sign from the addresses (that is according to my information).
Although, I don't use blockchain.info, so if that's wrong, feel free to correct me.

Are those blockchain.info addresses aswell, or can you sign from any of them?

Blockchain[.info] hasn't changed their design.
They have, if you are using their beta wallet.

People who have been here are making new accounts to try to get on DT. Learn how to read, not just call words.
If you want English classes pm me
And how exactly am I to blame for people making alt accounts?

My untouchableness

But I never signed an address before. So give me 10 minutes to learn how to do it Smiley
There's a great tutorial on how to sign a message with various tools by shorena.

Can you confirm you're still in control of: https://bitify.com/user/cointrade/ ?
I can. Contacted the account on bitify, this was the reply:

You can check address used for our transactions in the <avax> trust profile.
Can you sign this address avax?
Thanks for getting here so fast after my PM.
3955  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spamhunters Slam Spam Ham on: March 31, 2016, 07:33:38 PM
This is becoming ridiculous these alt accounts trying to becoming famous by spotting "horrible scams" where there is not.
Well we have mexxer-2, lutpin and blazed to blame for people thinking like this
I'm an alt account of whom again?
3956  Other / Meta / Re: Account got hacked - Hacker is using my trust score to scam others on: March 31, 2016, 07:28:10 PM
I don't remember I have a linked bitcoin address linked to my account (if there is one I have no problem signing it)
Sadly, there is none.
Maybe some of your trade partners (ghibly79, chronicsky, luluchick, cointell, BitNow) can provide one of the addresses you sent them in private messages.

- 0.1% house edge
~snip~
- 96% house edge
Sorry, wat?

Sorry, 96% win chance
That certainly sounds better than the 96% house edge.

Prove where I have double posted recently via capture webpage please.
Kidding? This very thread, right about my post.
http://archive.is/qpFIS#60%

No. You posted right before I made that quote and didn't see the post so I apologize. I didn't know "double posting" was against any rules as there are no official ones anyway. I will try to watch it. My mistake.
Yes. Also, check what xetsr wrote on the page earlier:

Might wanna use the edit button instead of double triple posting, unless you're trying to get posts deleted.
3959  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my post unfairly deleted? on: March 31, 2016, 06:18:16 PM
Again, if you have issues with signature campaigns, request them to be removed.
I don't, I'm managing some myself.

If I was to get banned, I will just come back on a mule. For every account that'd get deleted, I'll come back on 10 to highlight the point that if people have such a big problem with signatures, they shouldn't have them in the first place. The site has dug their own hole with allowing that.
Nice attitude, mate.

Still, you shouldn't double-post.
3960  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my post unfairly deleted? on: March 31, 2016, 06:00:20 PM
I've reported OP to hilarious some time ago.
I'm surprised they are still part of the YoBit campaign.
