3941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: August 24, 2016, 04:58:39 AM
If I have much money,I still played gambling, but not looking for profit .I will play with lowest stake.
The activity like chat with others,or play chat game is more fun I think

It is okay if you have a group of friends you can play with poker or mahjong on the weekends. I think that is a good gambling for fun even if you are rich. Most of the time, gambling will be just a reason for you to get together and catch up. But if you will do it in a casino or online gambling, then I think it is not a good habit even if you are rich.
3942  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2016, 04:50:04 AM
My plan to get rich with bitcoin is earning bitcoin from now and when i have many bitcoins, i will start a business like open an online shop that accept bitcoin as the payment.

Everyone should be thinking the same or just like your idea... We should not just work for bitcoin, we should also think that one day we will be the one hiring people to work for us or receiving payments from purchases...  Smiley For now on, we should be thinking to just collect and collect til we have enough capital for us to start our own business...  Smiley

The question is, how long will it take us to collect enough bitcoin to  start an online shop? Just a few bitcoins will not be enough to start a business. I say about a thousand bitcoin will be a good start. But by then, if we have a thousand bitcoin, we can consider ourselves already rich. Aside from trading bitcoin, I think there is no more opportunities that we can collect bitcoin fast.
3943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 24, 2016, 04:29:11 AM
gambling is so addicting because of the idea that if we are going to win or hit the jackpot it would be and easy money then. Yet the problem their is that instead of going up, gambling slowly pull us back especially if you will not able to control your self during the session.

The jackpot and the ambition of becoming big time easily is the biggest lure of gambling. But we should know by now that it will almost never happen. There can maybe a few who will hit the jackpot but that is just to entice new gamblers. Most of the time, gamblers will lose because of it. Personally, i think if you win a money easily, you will lose it as easily as well.
3944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: August 24, 2016, 04:18:03 AM
gambling never made me cry, because i have a special strategy of gambling, i have a limit for gambling, when i reach to that limit i stop gambling any more for that day, therefore i can say that gambling never made me cry.

I admire people who can control their self or sets a limit in gambling.
Because gambling really isn't the only answer to have money.

That is right. One of the characteristics of a professional gambler is self-control and discipline. Without it, you will surely be easily eaten by casinos. Casinos profit to gamblers that are dictated by their emotions when gambling.

Yeah, unless you are a gambling addict then you lose all that self-control and discipline. Everything in gambling is fine until you become an addict. You will be burning your money on gambling and still do not care just to satisfy your craving.
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two things are certain: Bitcoin and Taxes on: August 22, 2016, 07:48:52 AM
If you don't put any money on the banks, there is nothing they can do about this. No banks, no taxes. I want bitcoin to be more mainstream, so more sellers would accept bitcoin and i wouldnt forced to use Fiat but it seems it is not going to happen any time soon. People have gotten sick over their goverments and their shady acts that is why they dont wanna fuel up them with their taxes.

Not sure where you live, but here even if you don't have a bank account, you'll be forced to pay tax if you own a house, or have work that even pays you cash in your hand. If you're registered as citizen, but don't have work or any holdings at all, then you at least have to fill in a yearly tax report about what you have done. Even when you haven't done anything. There is no way to avoid it as citizen. Because if you don't fill it in..... They'll fine you heavily.

every country that has taxes is like this and i doubt that there is any place that don't take taxes, you pay them if you have a job and a salary, if you own some property like house, or even you are paying taxes when paying the bills or buying stuff.

Yeah, they tax you when you buy and they tax you when you sell. You cannot avoid taxes. Good thing they are not taxing bitcoin yet. I can still hide some of my money in bitcoin and lessen my taxes. It is so painful to pay taxes when you see very few improvements in the community.
3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 22, 2016, 07:35:25 AM
I think it will happen someday. When all people not using bitcoin anymore and i'm sure another crypocurrency will rise and be the next bitcoin with a good price like bitcoin.

It was a possibility, but I do not think it will happen in the near future. Moreover, no one can match the bitcoin, and all of it just altcoin. Because there will be no bitcoin version 2. And we know nothing altcoin that cost equaled the bitcoin. IMO

Just a few years back, I thought bitcoin was just a scam. And now I am using bitcoins. Maybe we are thinking no altcoins can take over what have bitcoin has achieved now. Maybe we have not seen the potential yet. But it is very possible that some alt coins can match or even over take bitcoin on the top.
3947  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 22, 2016, 06:56:38 AM
If you want to save money, save at least 10% to 20% of your salary.  That is salary less savings equals expenses.  You need to put savings first and not what is left in your salary.  If you do that you will just lost all the salary as you will only spend the money dedicated to savings.  If you save first then there is no way you could spend that money.  Try to commute instead of driving your own car during work.  You could also try to packed your food instead of eating out.

I also read that from a finance book that you should prioritize your savings before expenses. That is a very good advice.

On giving up your convenience like commuting rather than driving to your work, I think if a person does not want to give up his convenience then it is okay. As long as it does not disrupt his savings plan. But if it do, he should find a bigger income to cover all his conveniences.
3948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: August 22, 2016, 04:26:19 AM
I`m surprised with all this comments!!! There is so many smart, stupid, funny, crazy, sad, ugly comments. Why this thread is still open for new comments, and more bullshit?
Roughly there is 100 same comments of each suggestion, and each suggestion have couple confirmations. I wonder did OP read his thread until the end? And did he quit gambling finally?
He need to tell us what happened in the end with his life and to lock this thread if its possible. There is no more place for any new suggestion as I can see.

Maybe the OP has completely quit from gambling and is now happily spending quality time with loved-ones in the bahamas or is now hiking in the mountain and just unplugged from technologies for awhile. Maybe, he will no longer open this thread again as he completely detach himself from all of this and now live a happy, hopeful, and meaningful life. However, here we are still giving advice to the OP Smiley

Even if the OP is already happily spending quality time in the bahamas and already quit gambling, there are still a lot of gamblers who may need to read these advices and may help them too to quit gambling. This suggestions are not only for a single gamble, but for all gamblers out there who may need this help.
3949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long do you play per day gambling like Dice ? on: August 22, 2016, 03:39:50 AM
When I am bored and have the extra BTC or cash available, I will play about 4 hours in any given day.  Because of my limits to funding, I can not play as much as I would like to.  When I get into the dice though, I always seem to want to play more and more.  I have a hard time stopping!

Playing 4 hours is already too long. You can accomplish a lot already with that amount of time. And what do you get from that? I am guessing, mostly nothing. Most of the time, the house wins especially if you play too long. So those 4 hours are wasted time. I think you need to get a new hobby that is worthwhile than just spinning dice. You can get addicted too.
3950  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 22, 2016, 03:31:31 AM
to me it is very very difficult to keep money in your home or in your  bank account and you will save money, therefore to me the best option is to keep it and to invest it in bitcoin, there you can save your money and can even increase it, because to investing in bitcoin is the safest way of earning money.

It is good if you put some money into bitcoin. It cannot be denied that bitcoin is a good investment, but it is a long term investment. If you put your money into bitcoin, it can grow but there are times you cannot readily get it out. If the bitcoin price crash, you cannot get your money out. On emergency situations where you need immediate money, it will be bad. So you also need to put aside some money where you can easily get it, like banks or in your home.
3951  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: August 22, 2016, 03:26:52 AM
Working is always the way to make money. And the people who know saves money is the key to have big money.

Saving money (especially fiat) will not make you rich. The net value of fiat money declines every year due to inflation, and if you are saving money as such, then you will be left with close to nothing after a few years. For getting rich, you need to invest smartly. Investing in equities, bullion, BTC, mutual funds, startups.etc can be good options.

Yeah, investing is the only way to keep up with annual inflation of fiat and eventually make you rich. But you cannot disregard saving as well. You need to have some savings to get started on investing or venturing into business. Plus, you need to keep some savings for emergency purposes or the rainy days.
3952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long do you play per day gambling like Dice ? on: August 21, 2016, 05:45:44 PM
Depends on my bankroll and my take even longer s long as i am winning. It is hard to stop when you win continously, thinking that you will waste the chance of winning even more. But instead of winning more, my winnings and even my bankroll was eaten because i didn't play safe that time.
We are just a typical gamblers here because we have the same treatment on our actions when we see we are winning. Usually we will never stop because we need to push our luck as we want to earn more money but the end is always hard sometimes because we lose in the end.

You should control your greed everytime you are gambling. If you let greed control you, you will never stop betting and the result will be you losing all your money. It is tempting to bet more when you are on a streak, but if you can stop while you are on streak guarantee profit. I think you should aim on that.
3953  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 21, 2016, 01:37:05 PM
Save money is always better than investing in risky ways, or ponzi schemes. But if the investment is safe and long term it's also useful.
I think the investment is not just about Ponzi schemes and hyip still many investments that have less risk. yeah I know most of the current investment is a ponzi. so that people think about investing is always risky. whereas there are many kinds of investment
And I would really not consider ponzi schemers and hyip as investment because it is not. That is a complete scam designed to take the money of the people who are desperate to make money and resulted to being fooled by the operator of such. Investing in bitcoin is a clear investment I can say because it is legit and it can give us the possibility to earn in the future.

We should always be warned about ponzi. They are scams and should always be avoided. Number one rule in choosing an investment, if it is too good to be true, it is. There are a lot of investments out there. We should not limit ourselves on online ponzi and scams. We should look for authentic investment that provide a sure roi.
3954  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: August 21, 2016, 12:25:06 PM
Yes, but you should not rely completely on it.

Why not to rely on it if you know you can earn enough to make a living with it? Bitcoin is not a currency like altcoins that can disappear in a minute, it is the king of digital currencies so if you have a source that is generating enough bitcoins for you to make a living with it then you can completely rely on it.

Yeah if you are managing to earn good amount of bitcoins on regular basis then you can surely depend on it for living and I think many people are doing it successfully since long time.
Trading will give you a good profit so it is possible you can make a living with bitcoin, but first you need to be very good in trading in order to earn consistently and you can grow your money. People always dream to have that kind of opportunity but seems like trading is not for everyone.

Earning a living in bitcoin doesnt only limits to just trading.  We can try to build our own platform that can also be successful,  risky of course it would always be the only thing there is that you still move forward

Sadly, only those talented individuals and those with capital can make a decent living out of bitcoin. You can do it if you are good trader or someone who can finance a website or good at programming a website or apps.
But for ordinary people, employees, there is not much work that can go around.
3955  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 21, 2016, 08:32:28 AM
do 50/50 , 50% for savings like using it for emergency and 50% in investing but you need to have good knowledge where to invest your money cause it will go down or the worst part lose it all when you dont know where you putting your money at. Just start with saving first and if you feel like investing there are many online tutorial to start off you dont need to buy books but if your comfortable reading books much better.

I'd rather save my bitcoin instead of investing it in online investment programs, all of those has a tendency to run when they got plenty investors... Instead of investing on those, maybe I could try investing on real life investments like buying and selling things that I sometimes use... That way I could be sure that no one will scam me and I could use those items if I want to..  Smiley

Or you can invest on stocks. It is better than starting a business of buy and sell. Investing on stocks can create a passive income while in business, you have to actuvely promote your product and sell it. It will.still require some time and attention from you. But in investing stocks, you will just have to invest and go on with your life.

I think it's also like trading. The shares have a price that is quite volatile and may not be predictable, the stock also takes on the stock market and definitely shares also will decline or not even practice for sale. Better trading than do the other, trading trading is done not the other trading bitcoin

I think if you buy stocks from a reputable company and invest for long term, you will not worry about fluctuating price of the stocks. If the company showing positive growth every year, you will have a nice investment after a few years. The key here is know the company, research it before putting your money in.
3956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: August 21, 2016, 08:25:58 AM
It actually depends on your luck cause most of the gambling games are based on luck, Well there are some to that requires analysis like you're gonna look for patterns.
You can't earn anything if you always based it on luck. Well it depends on your risk appetite on how much are you willing to bet and the worst case scenario is how much are you not willing to lose. Everything can be unexpected in betting. Some of my experiences are not that sweet in fact most of them are not. Smiley

That is why you do not expect earning from gambling. It is always only by chance that you will get some money out of gambling. And if you are playing casino games, the odds of winning jackpot are against you. So if you gamble, don't expect winnings in the end. It will just disappoint you.
3957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: August 21, 2016, 08:20:36 AM

I play for fun since making quickly lot money through gambling is not my motive even now. This means If I was rich then too was finding myself active in gambling activities. It is all fun as long as you don't play for money you will not be greedy and enter in losses. Keep playing for fun and make money where chances are high of winning. I was still playing gambling games.
Yeah me too. I think if I were rich I will also still play gambling but of course I know how to control and manage myself because I really want investment over gambling but I also play ocassionally and I really don't get addicted into it.
yeah usually people who are already rich they would not be too eager to get a big profit in gambling so it will prevent them from addicts. and they will always be in control of the game. as they did in gambling is not for profit but for entertainment ?

And maybe rich people will not be too eager to gamble at all. I think people who got rich because of hard work and determination will not burn their wealth in gambling. They will protect their money and will not waste it on something not worthy. But those people who got rich handed down from their parents or won from lotto will be eager to gamble.
3958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: August 21, 2016, 07:42:10 AM
If I were rich I would certainly do something more lucrative as an investment. Because it would supplement my income properly. Although I gamble it is just to have fun and my entertainment.
That should be the way to gamble when you are rich, we focus on the fun and not on the money. Anyway, there is no sense in gambling when you are focusing on money when you are already rich, as long as there is a discipline rich people will enjoy gambling more.

I agree, if you are already rich then you won't matter losing anymore when gambling. You will just do it for your own pleasure without thinking how much you will lose. It doesn't matter to you if you win or not. Your only goal is to gamble in your heart's desire until you are tired doing it.

Does this mean you will gamble all your money even if you keep on losing? Gambling with your hearts desire means you will keep on gambling until you lose  everything. If you keep on doing that, you will be homeless and poor in no time. I saw this before in my neighborhood. A rich man addicted to gambling, gambled all his money. Now he is poor. I think rich people should be wiser on spending their wealth.
3959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: August 21, 2016, 06:04:03 AM
I gamble regularly and I lose most of the as expected, but I only cried once and now I am enjoying it because there is no reason to cry anymore when still don't quit gambling for good.

It seems you really enjoy losing money.  You still continue to gamble even if you know you will just lose. I think it is already an addiction and you should stop it before you wreck your life because of gambling. It is a bad habit if you keep on losing.
3960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long do you play per day gambling like Dice ? on: August 20, 2016, 11:57:47 PM
Played as long fund on balance not draining out perhaps
More fund, more longger I playing dice a day

Too bad you are really playing gambling to lose. Be careful with that, you may end up a gambling addict and it is hard to get out of it. You should limit your gambling activities to a few hours not until your funds run out. It will make you broke too. Gambling should just be for fun. A few minutes is fine.
