3941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Risk management. on: July 04, 2017, 01:24:22 AM
Hate to be the guy that comes out here and says this, but if you're going to be asking a question like this you're probably going to not be the right person for trading. You can only learn so much from people when it comes to trading it such a high risk, volatile market, you're going to have to know a lot of the stuff that you're doing by learning from experience and just seeing how you do-- this may be an expensive process but it's a learning curve that must be acheived.

You can't come here and say oh I don't want to lose money but I want a secure way to make x amount of money every day, or month, or week or whatever it is with that. You're not going to do that, it's just simply not going to work out in the least. You may have a day where you make an insane amount of money and another where you almost lose it sall
3942  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be Careful With Pumping Groups on: July 04, 2017, 12:26:34 AM
Pumping Groups are used by the big whales to be able to get people on with buying into something, it's used by them to be able to see an insane amount of pumping and then the big whales sell and everyone in the group gets fucked up with insane amounts of losses, don't get me wrong I'm not going to say this is the case with all of these groups because some of them are good at making a select group of people in the group and out of them a pretty penny, but the vast majority of the time it's going to lead to a loss of funds for some people.

So, yes do be insanely careful if you're getting into altcoin trading and trying to make some quick cash
3943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The dangerously shifted incentives of SegWit on: July 03, 2017, 11:53:03 PM
With something like this I always have one reminder to people, if we don't fix something like this now we're just going to be sitting in the same old problems which we haven't been able to fix for so much time. I'd rather go ahead and activate Segwit to be able to fix the pressing issues which have been heeding back our growth for so long, and then we'd be able to address any issues we created along with Segwit. I just think that it's probably best to fix Segwit later on rather then sit here and watch the community fall back more and more.

I think it's worth the risk yall.
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: July 03, 2017, 10:32:48 PM
Simple: Bitmain and Roger Ver have stopped spamming the network. If you look at the mempool graph it was clear it was just another attack by the big blockers to bitch and moan about high fees and confirmation times.

Just wait for the hardfork drums to start making noise again, they will turn their spam machines again to try to force support for their altcoin.

This is going to be the big one when it comes to this issue, hoping more and more people will be able to see it through and see these guys for the little shits that they are. They pretty much spent a ton of money to be able to fuck up this network for a long time, and as bad as that sounds they then go ahead and try to propose an alternate consensus to fix the network problem which they caused-- it's fucking shitty, but that's the world we live in these days.

Hoping that this stays on for awhile so I'm able to get more and more friends involved in Bitcoin, it's been tough with the network congestion and high fees to be able to justify them coming over to the dark side.
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 03, 2017, 09:43:36 PM
You're going to find tons and tons of people on these boards that are going to come out and say shit like that, that Bitcoin is the way to the promiseland or something along those lines but you have to see right through the bullshit with that. Bitcoin, even if it's a wonderful idea is having issues all along the lines of network congestion, low amounts of people actually adopting it, and impending regulatory / tax issues that are going to plague this community when the government feels as if it's the right time.
3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitcoin is about to be Centralized on: July 03, 2017, 08:45:09 PM
While this is newsworthy and all I really don't see something like this coming to light yet, we're not that much of an issue upon the governments and the big banks for them to want to be able to shut us down in an instant. I know at some point this is all going to come crashing down when the banks, politicians, bureaucrats, and so on join together in a way to be able to fuck us all up for a good amount of time but that time isn't going to be now. Once we really start getting more and more adopters to the point where they have to shut us down, they will.

I feel BTC is already centralized when we're looking at the issues of mining and such, as that's an insanely centralized thing when it comes to the manufacture of the miners themselves.
3947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 main mistakes of Bitcoin newbies on: July 03, 2017, 07:49:50 PM
I'd have to say one of the biggest ones that isn't mentioned here is going to have to be fees, most of the new people don't understand how fees work and all that which is going to make them do one of two things. Set a fee two low which is going to cause their TX to never be confirmed or just take an insane amount of time to be confirmed, OR just waste a ton of money getting a fee confirmed for too high of an amount.

Both are equally bad and I think this piece should've touched on it well, though besides that this hits on a good amount of the bases when it comes to things. May want to also tell people to avoid faucets, gambling, and so on and so forth if you catch my drift.
3948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: South Korea to Legalize Bitcoin!!!! on: July 03, 2017, 05:14:44 PM
If you were to actually go ahead and read this entire thing you'd see that everyone who uses these cryptocurrencies are now going to be under the view of them the government and open to regulation, this isn't something that we want in the least. I'd rather be in a gray area when it comes to where my business is rather then them being able to just go right ahead and tax my crypto and my business into oblivion.

They even made a cryptocurrency / digital currency task force which is simply going to be able to impose regulations on us, this is a horrible day for us.
3949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending bitcoin without the miner fees ! on: July 03, 2017, 05:34:50 AM
Well without the miner fees is really just going to leave you nowhere, so I wouldn't go ahead and do something so drastic like that. You could in theory go ahead and pay lower fees, that could work but it's going to take a long time for something to go ahead and be confirmed, so if you're doing something that is time specific I would avoid this altogether as you're really not going to get anywhere.

If you're that concerned about overpaying for fees or something like that, I'd go ahead and find a fee estimator which can help you pay the lowest fee in the fasted amount of time to be confirmed. Those usually do the trick for me.
3950  Economy / Exchanges / Re: how can i buy bitcoins without verifications/ID? on: July 03, 2017, 12:08:48 AM
Couple things you could go about using for something like this, the first is going to have to be one of the peer to peer sites such as LBC, or Paxful, you could also use the exchange section on here though when using that I'd try to be as safe as possible with some sort of escrow, OR TRUSTED SELLER. Though you're going to have to know that you're paying a premium to be buying it from someone else, that's bound to happen and it's going to happen, nothing you can do about that unless you use an exchange and go through verificiations with Coinbase or another company.

LBC,PAXFUL.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: July 02, 2017, 11:44:13 PM
I'd rather use an online wallet, many people on here are going to say that it isn't safe and you shouldn't be trusting other people with your keys or something along those lines but think about it. Would you rather barely be able to use your coins / have a hard time using the coins which you're bound to use at some point and have all the security in the world, or be able to use your coins freely without restrictions and with ease and have a bit less security?

I'm one on the less security side, even if it's tough to see for some.
3952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC only for middle and upper economic class? on: July 02, 2017, 10:33:11 PM
I don't think it was meant only for these classes, though at the moment it's ending up to be something that's only really being adopted and used by these two middle and upper economic classes due to the ways Bitcoin has evolved. Think of it in these eyes here, with the current issues when it comes to people being completely ripped off for fees, the current estimated fee is around the price of $3 which no one in the lower socioeconomic class is going to be able to afford to use a currency, I know many people are going to come out and say it's cheaper than WU or transfer companies.

But it's not, people actually have to buy Bitcoins and then that take fees, using it fees, selling it fees, more and more and more and more fees bud.
3953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: July 02, 2017, 09:17:57 PM
Lets just go to the point and say that this is something along the lines of an investment, I just can't see a wallet company ever going to be able to turn a profit in an age where there are so many of them and they're not really charging a dime to do anything right now, the only company which I can think is charging people to be using their wallet services is going to have to be BitGo. But the only reason for that is due to them being more of a corporate / company option with added security features.

Even if it is an investment, there's no money there.
3954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: can not send small amounts on: July 02, 2017, 07:24:46 PM
Wallet is probably having an issue deciding a good fee for this sort of problem, that's something that you'd have to be taking up with your wallet support company who'd probably be happy to fix this up - as a $20 fee just doesn't make sense in the least and isn't going to help anyone. Though I doubt this sort of problem would even be present if people were to just sit down with the miners and get an agreement going where the network congestion is fixed and the miners are still able to make good money-- like they've always wanted to.

Sucks
3955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright: "You dont need to hold the blockchain. Its ok if only banks do." on: July 02, 2017, 05:48:27 PM
This is one of the many reasons that everyone on here knows that Craig is a fraud and that no one is going to trust him on what he says, he tried to defraud this entire community by lying to every single one of us and telling us that he was Satoshi / our god. This is something that is utterly disgustingly to do to a community which holds some person to such a high standard, I would've been fine if this guy would've went into oblivion but for him to have the audacity to continue making horrid claims.

This guy deserves to fucking rot for what he did, he's a real POS
3956  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: July 02, 2017, 04:53:20 PM
See the first one that I used even if people are going to try to shit on it for having some issues was Blockchain.info and I think that if you're a casual user, that one should suit you fine, given that you follow some of the most BASIC security stuff such as 2FA which is going to ensure you should be shielded from most external attacks. If you're going to get a little more in-depth, then I'd shoot for BitGo which I used for a long time and really did love, they don't have your keys (they have 1/2) and you're pretty set when it comes to them, little expensive but I think the security given pays for itself.

Yeah, that's it for me.
3957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Japan Ends 8% Consumption Tax On Bitcoin Today on: July 02, 2017, 06:15:46 AM
While this is great news and I do applaud the Japanese government for doing something like this, I still hold the view that the governments are just doing this to lay off Bitcoin as they don't see it as a threat yet in anyway, shape, or form. I think when they do find the time where Bitcoin is causing issues with the rule that the government has over currency control in their country, they're going to go right back to this and more and not care at all towards what we feel about Bitcoin.

The time will come, the time will come!
3958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: removal of taxes on bitcoin and recognition as currency is booming in the world on: July 02, 2017, 05:22:59 AM
It's not booming and it won't ever come to something along these lines, think about it from the governments point of view. Do you really think that these people are going to give up the FULL control that they have over their currency and their country overall, no, they're not going to do this and give the people the rights to this sort of thing back. That'd be dumb of them and completetly foolish, they're going to want full control and they're not going to lay off the regulations.

The only time that I can see them laying off is going to have to be the time when they don't see these crypos and Bitcoin as a threat, once it is and it does cause an issue to people they're going to go in for the killshot on them and regulate and tax the fuck out of everything bitcoin, sucks but that's what's going to happen. We'll just have to sit around and see it happen, nothing we can do.
3959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accepted at New York pre-school on: July 02, 2017, 04:20:35 AM
Don't know how much truth there is to this story, but if it is true that's amazing to see something like this happening. Though I'll have to say, not accepting credit card does seem like a pretty dumb thing to do given that you're going to need to hit the masses when you're running a school like this, so you're kinda making a horrible business decision by not allowing people to use major payment options. But if he can afford to do something like this and it's a helpful publicity stunt for Bitcoin then so be it.

I'm not going to be the one to complain much!
3960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot drop in price on: July 01, 2017, 10:13:46 PM
The high level of demand for bitcoin may not last forever. Why invest money in something than you don't use and that has no capitalization. If you will not develop trade with bitcoin we may be witnessing the collapse of bitcoin.

Oh there is no chance it hell that this demand is able to pull through forever, there's just no way that people are going to be dumb enough to keep buying into a currency which is unable to come to a conclusion on fixing an issue which they have at the moment when it comes to network congestion and overprices fees, this alongside the miners cheating and such. People are just going to invest to be able to make money, they THINK the price is just going to keep going up and up while the price is going to need to fall at some point, the lord only know when it's going to come crashing down though.

Bitcoin can drop and price, and drop it price it will do at some point.
