3941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still bother to engage non Bitcoiners? on: May 04, 2019, 11:42:32 PM
I see this when I read mainstream media articles that mention bitcoin. The comments below are still as dumb as they were 5 years ago like: stop writing about this ponzi scheme. Or something like: yes and fake computer money will be worth millions someday.

I sometimes answer when people have real questions or argue about the importance of bitcoin but I ignore trolls who want to ridicule it.
3942  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which platform is best for Trading? on: May 04, 2019, 11:33:53 PM
the best binance, while other exchanges seem normal nothing special. we see lots of exchanges following a binance strategy and we see them starting to hold IEOs like binance.
we'll see who is the best and this competition is not finished.

I agree. I like that Binance allow you to withdraw without any KYC as long as you don't exceed certain amounts. Their deposits and withdrawals are confirmed very fast and liquidity is unmatched. For me lack of strict KYC is very important and this makes some exchanges like Coinbase impossible to use.

I don't trust bitfinex anymore because they lied about USDt and bittrex is acting pretty shady with their IEO so it doesn't leave many options.
3943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why? on: May 04, 2019, 09:40:33 PM
Why would you even play at such a casino?

Most of us if not all prefer instant withdrawal ofcourse. But there are still some online casino’s that manually process their users withdrawal. Playing in on an online casino is matter of trust, i would rather play on one that manually process withdrawal but i’m sure that my withdrawal will push through.

What if they tell you it's manual but really have not enough money to process instant withdrawals and have to delay them? You can never be sure if they are telling the truth. I feel like delays are shady and I wouldn't do it. Mtgox was delaying withdrawals before the collapse because they were insolvent.

If all industry is going with instant withdrawals and you are one casino that is delaying you are going to lose customers.
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will they ever find Satoshi Nakamoto? Make your prediction... on: May 04, 2019, 09:35:04 PM
They won't find him I'm sure of it. Maybe there's 1% chance because there's always a chance that something will happen even if it's a very small one.
If they couldn't find him for so many years they won't do it now. He was smart to leave no clues and when there are no clues you can only speculate. I also think they shouldn't look for him. What would that accomplish besides destroying his life?
3945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to recover when you are down 90% of your portfolio? on: May 03, 2019, 11:54:04 PM
Listen OP. You had some money and instead of buying one or two good cars you bought 10 pieces of scrap metal formed in the shape of cars. You didn't notice it or ignored it and started driving around until most of your scrap cars broke down and you're asking us to help you turn them back into the money you had paid for them. Is this a joke?
You gained some knowledge in this bear market. Use it to start from scratch.
3946  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [05-03-2019] Coinbase CEO Suggests Using USDC Stablecoin Instead Of Tether on: May 03, 2019, 11:38:28 PM
All traders know that Tether is much better than many other stablecoins, even now when it became known that it is backed by USD by 76% ( in this I see only advantages). USDT has become more transparent for everyone.
What are you talking about? In what way is having 25% your tokens completely unsecured advantageous? In what way is continually refusing to allow an independent audit transparent? In what way does lying to your customers for years, silently changing your terms and conditions, backing away from your promises, and printing money out of thin air, make you better than your competitors?

Tether is looking more and more like a scam every day. I can't understand why anyone in their right mind would continue to use it.

He will think it's all fine until he decides to withdraw to USD and finds out he's in that 25% with no backing and he's money is gone.

You lend someone some money and he brings back 75% and says he lost the rest. When does it become a bad thing when you kick his ass for it? When he loses 30% or 35% because 25% is fine for some people so maybe their limit is at 30? Cheesy If USDT is OK now when does it stop being OK?
3947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BITCOIN CASH ? on: May 03, 2019, 11:31:06 PM
I think not so much people use bitcoin cash, but maybe if there not happen the fork maybe bitcoin cash value more, but i think is possible to survive if people will use it, but i don't know if the price will grow too much.

You can see how many people do by using this site https://txhighway.com/

BCH has a very wide highway but there are almost no transactions going through. Bitcoin has a much smaller one but enough transactions to keep it occupied and not enough to cause a jam. If Roger doesn't think of something new pretty soon his coin will not look attractive anymore to those who want to differentiate.

Since nobody is using BCH its value must come from differentiation pretty much like the value of most other altcoins.
3948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: May 03, 2019, 11:04:37 PM
Anonymity of crypto is proving to be a major problem in addressing the lots of crypto related crimes since you can hardly trace transactions on the blockchain to a real person.
Transactions can be traced but its hard to know the real owner of the wallet, maybe this is why KYC is invented. The crime everyday is increasing, and this market is also a place to commit a crime, it can be prevented if there’s a regulating body and have a good system to keep this market better.

So you're in support of regulating the markets? Crimes do happen on regulated markets as well and regulating doesn't mean there will be no unregulated exchanges for scammers to use.

People should prevent the crimes from happening by ignoring shady projects . Greed and laziness is what helps scammers not KYC or the government.
3949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔥 Maya Preferred 223 (MAPR) 🔥 Gold & Silver backed on: May 03, 2019, 10:52:21 PM
Hello everyone,

As we are working towards some major partnerships, we are already going into right track as MAPR is now "BETTER" than Bitcoin!

Once we reach up with some major partnerships in coming weeks and months, we are confident of it's reaching "DOUBLE" of the Bitcoin!

Who are you trying to fool? The 24h is 7 and there's no change in value. Are you buying and selling your own coins to make it look like there's a real price and a real demand? Nobody is trading this shit and I can bet that nobody will buy it at 8000 dollars a piece.

You can dream about it becoming better than bitcoin but thanks to yours shady tactics it will never be. People hate liars.
3950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this really better than Bitcoin? on: May 03, 2019, 10:42:51 PM
That thread is run by someone with a crazy high number of trust abuses. Are you his alt? Any normal forum user would be concerned by that and not start another thread about the project promoted by someone with so much negative trust.

The coin seems weak. How can you even think that something with fake gold backing be better than BTC?
3951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't Fomo , 3800$ incoming ? on: May 03, 2019, 10:28:45 PM
if we continue with this gradual increase, we will have great chances to end the year with the price of $8000
If we break it and I don't think that we will without a correction and touching the new bottom somewhere at 5500. We passed this levert too fast and will come back to confirm it as support.

is Tom Lee trying to appear less in the press to preserve his image?

What image? Of the person with the most missed predictions in crypto? Tom Lee is a guy you listen to when you want to lose money.
3952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't Fomo , 3800$ incoming ? on: May 02, 2019, 11:20:26 PM
Even after Tether and Bitfinex issue still the market is moving upwards it means we are in right direct to touch 6000 dollars soon

It is moving but look at the difference in price between bitfinex and other exchanges. It's 300 dollars apart like it was artificially pumped. Maybe it's tether again?
It's strange that with all that's going on around it they still manage to keep the price from falling. If I had USDt I'd be moving to another stablecoin without hesitation but there's not much of it going on. Does that mean that most of the USDt is fake so there's nobody to unload bags?

We are overdue for a correction that's for sure.
3953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market situation on: May 02, 2019, 10:48:59 PM
At the moment, the future crypto looks sad. Since there are so many scammers and they are increasing every day. But if they come up with some kind of punishment to them, then there will be a great future in the crypto

Scammers don't rule crypto. They are everywhere and the only reason you see them here is the Internet that makes all the information visible for us all to see. Blockchain helps too because it allows you to view transactions. The only way for scammers to reach their victims is this clear and visible way. You can't break into the house at night and steal everything like you could with fiat and gold.

Crypto has even less scammers than the real world but you can see what they're doing and it makes you feel surrounded by them.
3954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The End of Bear Market, Confirmed!! on: May 02, 2019, 10:42:27 PM
How come bear market has ended ? Bitcoin is still struggling at 5000$ cant even make it to 6000$. Bears are still dominant this year i will hold my tokens till next year when bull run starts.

They are not. If bears were dominant the price would keep falling but instead it's climbing up.

It is struggling because we are at the point where it was struggling for munts to go down. 6000 was broken last year by speculators. There was no fundamental reason for it to go lower and many people lost their money and got scared by this level. It's a psychological barrier that we need to breach.
3955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NYPD: Bitcoin thieves posing as government officials have stolen over $2M on: May 02, 2019, 09:58:10 PM
You really have to be an idiot to believe the police or any other government agency will ask you to buy them a gift card or pay in bitcoin. I still can't believe that people were being scammed by fake Indian IRS that was telling them to go to a nearby store buy a gift card and tell them the code.

A child could fall for this but a grown up who is working and raising children? What are you going to teach them if you are as sharp as a spoon?
3956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is the world's 3rd strongest currency on: May 02, 2019, 09:52:53 PM
It's also one of the least used currencies in the world. Even some worthless fiats like Wons of North Korea are used to buy groceries and pay bills. Bitcoin is but once in a blue moon. I love BTC but it still has a long way to go before it can be compared to fiat currencies that are constantly in use. Now it's more similar to gold than fiat money.
3957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone keep their trading capital in btc? on: April 30, 2019, 10:03:38 PM
Well,  I dont trust USDT so I dont stay with that or trade using it.

BTC and ETH is the storing point for me before withdrawal in exchange. The good part of it is when BTC goes down or up, every altcoin does or we could say a higher percentage of all the altcoin do move the same with bitcoin.
I guess that could also tell you are safe. The value stays and you are safer with bitcoin with a much better chance of going upwards for a better trade.

And you're one of the smart ones who don't use USDt and won't become their victim. I knew they were hiding something when they refused to do an audit and then hired some company to vouch for them. They had no money in 2018 and it's only getting worse now. Today they said they have 70% backing instead of 100. They are done.

BTC is going up maybe all the tether bagholders are moving their money? ETH is to weak to use as store of value.
3958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty may be an income medium for unemployed youth. on: April 30, 2019, 09:48:32 PM
In other words they are spamming the forum for pennies instead of getting a real job? If you got a part time job somewhere even night shifts at a gas station you'd earn much more than doing bounties full time. This thread is a joke.

I'm in a signature campaign which I can be sure to pay up on time every time and it doesn't even get me 30% of what a real job would. If I were to survive on this income I'd have to go squat in a box somewhere.
3959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether Lied to You, and is basically worthless on: April 30, 2019, 09:27:41 PM
WE have been using USDT for a long time, surprising as it is. Somehow it helped a lot of traders back then, I hedge my coins thru it. So which stablecoin are we going to trust now?  Didn't some users send their Tether to their MEw wallet? I have read some threads about this.
There is a USDT ERC20 token which can be stored on MEW. So nothing wrong with that.

About which stable coin to use, there are other coins (more trusted) which you can use. E.g: TUSD, USDC or DAI (decentralized).

Take a look at this: https://medium.com/ethex-market/which-stable-coin-is-best-for-you-2167d0d9f520

This is why this tether thing is nothing but a temporary distraction. There won't be any panic run for the exit. You can quickly switch to another stablecoin or bitcoin and life goes on.

Tether which is nothing but a centralized private company will go bankrupt and leave a hole to patch on bitfinex because sooner or later they will have to get that money from somewhere or go down like mtgox.
3960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more time to waste on: April 30, 2019, 09:20:36 PM
Threads like that make me wonder if you are here only for the bounties. There's so much to do on a forum. You can read and learn join giveaways raffles you can gamble and participate in competitions. You can also do small jobs for other people lend coins to others sell your collectibles. Bounties are the most popular because they are easy to do but they also don't pay a lot.
