Btw OP, I tried claiming the gift but it somewhat "failed" and became invalid afterwards.
Thanks for the offer though, I managed to enable LN on Electrum by creating another LN-compatible address.

I'm not sure why your topic was deleted. Yeah, Micro earnings is located in Bitcoin board, while your service is related to altcoin, it may be a reason. But altcoin faucets always been promoted here, I saw it since my first days on this forum and mods didn't deleted it. It would be nice to hear moderator opinion about this case. @sujonali1819, you can see such kind of ads on 95% of faucets, so, this site isn't exceptional. Yeah, it's possible to disable it on A-Ads, as shown on @UserU post, but then he would lose big part of income and wull be fored to close website. And scams is advertised on Google ads too, but it doesn't that owner is responsibe about content of ads. It's always a good idea to add warning about potential dangers of advertised content and that's not endorsed by website
If the advertiser advertises the ads on Google Ads, it's entirely as he/ she wants it to appear on relevant websites (assuming the free tron is one of them). But for the owner of free tron, it's not his or her responsibilty because only the ad space is offered/ sold. Unless there's some moral compass involved.

Chances are, the site owner is allowing all sorts of ads (HYIP, NSFW just to name a few) to maximize his/ her ads earnings through the ad network platform. So he or she is not actually behind the ad contents. Sometime like this ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FC8jmxfX%2Fads.jpg&t=663&c=i1YWb41giiSYXw)

Old school generations you say But I definitely agree on the fact that a lot of stress is involved in securing and procuring your private keys on the platform. But with the right words, things can be made easy for them. Well, that's the safest term I could come out with to describe them. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Funnily enough, these security problems ain't only from the older folks. Even the younger internet-savvy people have been too comfortable with username:passwords accounts that there's a good chance that there's a good chance that even the younger folks will be leaving their funds in custodial exchanges; or something like saving their 12-24 word seed on a centralized server like on their email address or their phone's app.
You are right. Imagine the young ones already making those mistakes, think about how the elders are struggling to cope with such logic. They could avoid parking their funds on the exchange but then they might fall victim to an elaborate social engineering scam. Even I made a cardinal mistake of leaving mine on an exchange as I was lazy to bear the fees and the waiting time each time I wanted to transfer them, although thankfully the exchange wasn't hacked "yet" back then.

Did you see someone put the cheese in there, or just take their word they would after you paid them?
Well, it looked like cheese and tasted like one, so I took their word for it ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Earlier this year when I transitioned from Intel to AMD (yey), my legit Windows key from Dreamspark became invalid. Called Microsoft support but they iterated that it exceeded the number of activations (over 300 which didn't make sense at all).
And with the cost of over 100 bucks for a Pro version, I eventually said f it and purchased one "online" for less than a buck.

Definitely sus. Timelord has already posted in the other thread asking where did the bids come from.
And the first few positive posts from the OP came from Newbie accounts.

Sometimes the only way not to lose is to not play.
I agree with this. Alternatively, you can't lose if you're broke ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgflip.com%2F1tphm8.jpg&t=663&c=M9dNqyXmpOPKtw)

The problem is that Stake is an international casino and not a local one. Because of this reason, it's hard for customers to accept the actual price. In reality they look Lambo as 212,266 USD as the main prize. I think, if Lambo is the real prize, then they should cover additional fees or only offer money as the prize. Well, it's still on the user's side right now but at some point it's really sad that we can't see Lambo winners on crypto casinos or did I missed something? I said that because not every gambler is rich and there are moments when luck hits and poor people win such a great prizes and taxes on lambo would cost house in small countries. The winner could always convert the prize money and buy a (cheaper) Lambo. Saves the cost ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

It's very easy to put your coins on a memory card and take a jet to South Korea, Japan, or werever you like and trade there. The whole world would have to ban it at the same time for this to work and this will never happen.
I wonder how many Bitcoins does one need to actually afford a jet.

Actually, it's 10BTC:

Here's a contender among worst token launches ever. From the OP: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fup.picr.de%2F34228002yi.png&t=663&c=jdLd9DXl4Npj2g) HardOn Supply: 5,000,000 Waves token ID: ACyZADnLf1ZR4oRMAGPYxwpjyFFU52oVtMqX3kBP9dBc When pressed on what their "investment purposes" were, they came up with the following: That username. To answer your topic question: It probably needs to be introduced on related subjects/courses like investing and finance and computer science in general.
But what needs to be more emphasized in schools in my opinion, is internet security in general. Not only does it help with the security of future bitcoiners, but also with internet users in general. As we move more and more to the digital space, internet security just becomes more and more important.
I agree. Buying Bitcoin sounds easy, but going through the hoops from securing your private keys to actually finding a reliable platform isn't simply a walk in the park. Definitely daunting for those old school generations.

There was this thread that kept track of ban appeals for a while: BAN APPEAL]UPDATE: Total table + Ban status (Need feedback from Global mods). It contains a list of appeals between mid-November 2018 and early July 2019, totalling 67 entries (which is not much really, since most people do not appeal). The list displays apeals for: Legendary: 16 Hero Member: 10 Sr. Member: 17 Full Member: 17 Member: 4 Jr. Member: 3 Out of which: 2 were unbanned (one was framed if I recall correctly, and the other more or less proved it wasn’t him). 12 got a signature ban (normally for a year or two). 53 remained banned. That is just a fraction of all banned accounts really, as the vast majority do no resort to appealing the ban (be it due to their low rank, or knowingly aware of their slip). Thanks for the info. So basically the chances to appeal are very slim unless you have some solid substance to back your case. But then those list as you mentioned are not up-to-date, so I believe there's way more appeals which have not been added to the count? As we have seen those threads posted on Meta from time to time, but they hardly ever ended on a good note.

@o_e_l_e_o, I didn't say that privacy doesn't matter. Of course it does. But let me ask you a question, if I wanted to mix 1400BTC, then the bitcoins would first pass from the mixer's addresses. Won't the police know that the stolen bitcoins are now owned by the mixer's company? I don't understand why the whole scam is solved with just a mixer and how the hacker can now spend them all without being afraid of getting caught.
I don't think the mixers would want to make themselves known publicly (in terms of IRL information) in the first place. Also, there's a possibility that a mixer could also send the Bitcoins to another mixer before sending them to the addresses. Just to make things even more difficult to trace.

I mean, even 5 BTC hot wallets are hard enough to find, let alone a MIN of 50!
You can imagine them thwarting off those pesky DDoS attacks every single day ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Their security team must be paid very well!
