Good day guys, I'm here to discuss your different views and opinions if bitcoins should be infused into educational institutes. Although I personally think that if such action is taken, Bitcoin economy will expand and more traders will come into the crypto market with these few points:
Bitcoins a completely decentralized digital currency built with the knowledge of its unidentified creator Satoshi Nakamoto, Roughly 12 years ago the knowledge of this currency was know to only a group of internet surfers but over the years as more individuals were told about this so did the bitcoin economy grow and the current market capitalization of the economy is estimated at about $117.81 billion. Businesses both big or small have decided to integrate the bitcoin platform into their activities. Thus making useful change within the bitcoin economy.

The decentralized nature of bitcoin is made possible with the P2P protocol creating autonomous transactions which helps in attracting the attention of investors to itself.

The payment system on the platform can allow users to avoid issues like double spending.

All these talk balls down to the fact that bitcoin economy has greatly improved due to communications and information over the years and why I was in school, I had no one to tell me about the crypto world but when I came across @Chris Barth
Code:
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2569032
Although I suspect you may very well know him he told me about the community especially the bounty section but my point is this students have no one to do this in their various schools and countries. And I will continue to support and promote bitcoin in any means I can.
Feel free to drop your different perspectives and correct me where I'm wrong.
                                                                              Thank you!

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

To answer your topic question: It probably needs to be introduced on related subjects/courses like investing and finance and computer science in general.

But what needs to be more emphasized in schools in my opinion, is internet security in general. Not only does it help with the security of future bitcoiners, but also with internet users in general. As we move more and more to the digital space, internet security just becomes more and more important.

Just bitcoin? I don't think so. It's better if schools would start with introducing blockchain technology and how industries are adopting to this new technology  and integrating them into their system. In fact, there are some universities that are already offering blockchain courses https://www.accounting-degree.org/college-cryptocurrency-blockchain-courses/. I don't know the scope of the courses but perhaps cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are also discussed in passing.

I agree. Buying Bitcoin sounds easy, but going through the hoops from securing your private keys to actually finding a reliable platform isn't simply a walk in the park.

Definitely daunting for those old school generations.

It would be possible but there should be a representative for bitcoin system to introduce it in formal education and explain why there is a need to include bitcoin in their curriculumn.

As much as I learn about eduction system in their curriculum guides are basing on the teachers compilation to address the students capability basing on their age to learn. It will undergone a lot of modifications subject for change and improvement until such it will be approve to all as a standard guide together with textbooks and teachers manual. The teacher will then make their lesson strategy on how to introduce the topic depending on the way how will learners learn fast that sometimes teacher will provide a differentiated activities that will adhere all the students capability in a classroom setting.

If bitcoin may introduce it does mean that bitcoin should be safe to consumers for consumption. However, we know what risk bitcoin brings to its consumer due to its market volatility. I do not think it is safe for secondary level to introduce bitcoin but it could be to tertiary level in their last years of schooling before graduating.

In my opinion introducing bitcoin to formal education may lead to negative impact to the students. They can  learn to invest but also they can go it all wasted and lost their funds. What source of income do they have to invest if they will be open for investment? We cannot see for now that bitcoin is really needed to introduce into formal education because others are seeing bitcoin as good investment and others are not.

However, in the future if we will be able to emphasize what good it brings to the community like seeing bitcoin as an option for payments, doing transactions online, a decentralized system where government could not interfere for privacy purposes, and government to allow this kind of system provided that consumers knows what risk ahead if consumer will pursue in joining bitcoin. For now, other countries does not allow the use cryptocurrency to protect the safety of the consumers or the community. We could not blame the government for this because it is their mandate to protect and promote safety and welfare to the community. This is why other countries ban the use of cryptocurrency system.

Yeah like I said I stand to be corrected
Introducing block chain technology to tertiary institutions is probably the best way of educating the masses and most of these courses are not offered in school around my locality.
So I guess it's up to me to enlighten them

But I definitely agree on the fact that a lot of stress is involved in securing and procuring your private keys on the platform. But with the right words, things can be made easy for them.

I doubt those "old school generations" are going to go back to school and start learning how to secure bitcoin lol.
It is not as "dauting" as you think. Securing your wallet is like securing your credit card and sensitive bank information. You don't hand it over to others. You keep it to yourself in a safe secure place. If someone knows how to use paypal to send and receive coins, it will be a piece of cake for them to send or receive bitcoin. Again, those old school generation people has nothing to worry about their transaction getting reversed or their account getting block for no reason like paypal.

I agree with this Bitcoin is just a product of blockchain so I think blockchain technology is on of the important things to discuss when introducing to educational sectors.
I didn't know that some universities are offering a blockchain course it's a good way to educate the community by letting them know what is it and apply it
to physical businesses or works.

Funnily enough, these security problems ain't only from the older folks. Even the younger internet-savvy people have been too comfortable with username:passwords accounts that there's a good chance that there's a good chance that even the younger folks will be leaving their funds in custodial exchanges; or something like saving their 12-24 word seed on a centralized server like on their email address or their phone's app.

I'd rather push for a privacy and decentralization class than strictly Bitcoin. General education is more important imo. If people learn to appreciate the two, it gets much easier to have someone understand why BTC is important.

Classes about economics could implement at least a brief history of BTC though. Would probably be interesting for many to have a side-by-side comparison of BTC vs other assets and commodities.

I think this is not yet the time to have a subject or courses that focus on bitcoin alone because it depends on every university if they are going to introduced it into their school. Also government is one of the hindrance to expand the knowledge about crypto. But as what you have said it was blockchain technology is the most important to introduced first because bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is just a part of blockchain technology.

In my university, some of my schoolmates are already using the bitcoin way back 2016 but only a few them realize the worth of it and recently this year our organization invites a speaker and the main target is the blockchain how does it benefit and also one of my classmates ask him if there is a relation on bitcoin and the topic changes into making an investment with the use of it just segue of the topic.

Now most of us are using the cryptocurrency right now but some of them just ignore the use of it so it feels bad they can't relate how to bring enjoyment to earn with this crypto.

Self-study there is no course relayed on us with the use of bitcoin.

It "should" be introduced no doubt.
The problem is that teachers doesn't even know what is Bitcoin or worse some of then didn't even hear this word.

I'd like this to be introduced but I'm not expecting for it to happen. Instead of hoping that Bitcoin will be introduced in schools by teachers, it would be better if you will just make a self-study regarding Bitcoin. Just knowing the basics of it is enough but if you know the complex side of it then it would be better.

IMO, it isn't time yet to introduce bitcoin to education sectors especially by adding courses in schools that teaches the use of bitcoin. Because for me, we need not to learn this in school. We can already learn by ourselves since there's already tons of learning material, tutorial on the internet. What I can see for educational institution to focus more is the development of blockchain tecnhology as it could be use to build decentralized applications which are immutable, and free from hacking.

And there are already online classes tackling blockchain technology like in coursera - https://www.coursera.org/specializations/blockchain

Also, one article last year wrote about 9 global universities offering crypto and blockchain courses -

So it is already in the academe and definitely, they will mention bitcoin at some point of the lecture. Just like the first course offered in NYU - “The Law and Business of Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies.”

I like the idea of crypto being introduced to the younglings because it is the future currency and so they are. However, they shouldn't focus on Bitcoin but on the whole Blockchain system. I want it to be introduced simply because if people will become literate regard Crypto we could avoid unnecessary action in dealing with these coins like FUD and FOMO. Crypto was easy and fun to explore but it requires interest and willingness to learn otherwise you won't learn it. As a matter of fact, you can learn crypto without any help an institution coz you can do it yourself though, I mean there's a lot of learning material online that can be helpful.

BIG WINNER!

Agree to your reasoning, we're focusing more on the currency instead of the technology that drive the currency to function flawlessly. There's more to explore that's yet to be discovered in the blockchain technology and if these were to be studied, experimented on, the technology would be perfected in no time. Without the technology, I don't think the concept of decentralized transaction would had been made possible.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't think there are more emphasis on studying fiat currency been discussed in school instead the finance system is, so it shouldn't be any different with the Blockchain industry. It would be more beneficiary this way.

There are institutions in my country now that offers crypto seminar or courses to those who want to learn and to know cryptocurrencies, it tackles mostly the idea of blockchain. It can help many students to think of what career they wanted as well to learn how to invest early by identifying the right crypto invest with as long as they are guided by those traders who are already familiar with it, it's the best time to let some adults know how to trade and take advantage on the nebefits of the market.

I'd say only on courses mainly tackling about finance, economics and politics, but not all courses. Those are the only subject areas where bitcoin will be needed, given that it is already considered an emerging financial tool that even top investors and countries are already acknowledging. Perhaps they can add it on the 'experimental' side of finance in the mean time since the overall implementation of bitcoin in the industry is not yet really seen. For lower years, I don't think it is necessary for them to be exposed in these kinds of things though it will be best if they will be taught some basic knowledge about keeping their money safe.

Most academe are not yet ready for teaching bitcoin and its concept to their students since we still lack professionals who have the credentials to teach the subject in a non-biased yet understandable way. That's why I believe a teaching profession in the field of disruptive tech and blockchain would be a nice thing to get certified on.
