3961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC losing its dominance big time on: April 15, 2021, 10:42:51 AM
Even though the dominance of Bitcoin has risen again, Bitcoin dominates the market 53% which is still low in my opinion. I believe Bitcoin will
side away at $ 60k- $ 63k in the next few weeks, this provides an opportunity for altcoins to pump again. So now is a good time if anyone wants
to buy altcoins, because the prices of some altcoins are experiencing a correction.

First and foremost i would like to mention that I am betting long term on Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin will have a decline but I think it will rise again after this drop. Prices have rallied so rapidly in the last few months that the cryptocurrency market cap has grown to over $2.2 trilion, up from about $200 billion this time last year. It has been a great year so far and many coins have risen substantially. For those that did buy early you're now experiencing solid profits.

But, Bitcoin is still on my "watchlist", its growing the most in a healthy growth pattern now.
3962  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: April 15, 2021, 10:26:38 AM
Robinhood’s just a balance on an app. You can sell it back but you can’t retrieve actual BTC.

So, buying cryptocurrencies at Robinhood is just like on the PayPal or Revolut? You can only trade with them but you can't withdraw them to an external wallet. Is that correct?

When you buy crypto on PayPal or Revolut, you’re actually just paying these companies to allocate you a value equal to the market price of Bitcoin. You have an account on their database, with absolutely no interaction at all with the actual networks or blockchains of these crypto.

3963  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 15, 2021, 10:18:14 AM
Sounds like the OP is on a slow path to understanding Bitcoin. Thought it was a ponzi, realized that's wrong. Think it is in a bubble, soon enough he'll realize that rather than a bubble it is very cheap right now. Soon enough he'll realize people would be desperate to turn back time and buy in a $60,000-something.

You forgot to mention that he thought Satoshi Nakamoto was actually Steve Jobs and all the coding was done by Steve Wozniak. Also, he wonders if he can mine a block with a desktop computer and that diffuculty should be reset to 1.

And a few more stupid questions.
3964  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 15, 2021, 08:56:23 AM
calling bitcoin a ponzi scheme
but I still call it a huge bubble
If you couldn't figure out something as simple as why a Ponzi scheme is how do you expect to figure out what a bubble is. The concept of a bubble is much simple than the concept of a Ponzi scheme!

We can't expect the idiot to understand simple financial and economic terminology if he can't even figure out how to use the forum. He can't even reply to his own thread, so he starts a new one. Pathetic...
3965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 15, 2021, 08:36:56 AM
According to the latest announcement, Binance will list the Coinbase Stock Token on their platform.

It should be noted, however, that the Coinbase Stock Tokens will not be available to all. Users living in China, Turkey, the United States, and other restricted jurisdictions will be unable to trade COIN.

Well.. I have to say that this is strange. Binance is one of the competitors for Coinbase. So I wasn't really expecting Binance to list the Coinbase stock on their platform. But then, Binance allows stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, which can be considered as competitors to their own stablecoin (BUSD). So at least we can say that this is not something that is out of the blue. In the meantime everyone is patiently waiting for the COIN listing on NASDAQ. One of the biggest events in the history of cryptocurrency to this date.

It's all about the money.
I'm sure the CZ has no reservations about listing a rival project if it sees the potential for additional revenues. Take, for example, ETH, which is the key rival to his BNB network, and he still keeps market trading pairs in relation to ETH.
It's a good business for Binance as long as the users are happy.
3966  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wish they would lock down the pigeons on: April 15, 2021, 08:25:41 AM
By the way, I've never seen little pigeons in my life, or pigeons nest with little pigeons. As if the Matrix didn't take this element into account.

It must be a glitch in the matrix source code. Have you reported the bug to the Creator?
3967  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wish they would lock down the pigeons on: April 14, 2021, 03:11:13 PM
I spent some of yesterday washing the van, and today I've got pigeon skidmarks down each side. Just to add insult to injury, a pair of them were copulating on the roof as well.

The one thing that bothers me about pigeons, is that if there is one, there are three more - by the dozens.
I do not really want to get rid of all of the pigeons - but I think I have had enough of the ones that live in my back yard. I have talked to a few people about this problem, and they think that it is best to just cut out the food supply, as that is what you normally do when you are trying to get rid of them.

The problem is that I cannot get rid of the ones that live in my neighbor's yard as their food is right there.
3968  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: STATIC ADDRESS on: April 14, 2021, 02:58:01 PM
Just want to ask if I would still be able to receive my bitcoin, coz I read in the net that addresses assigned to your wallet would not expire and is assigned to you for a long time and can be re used.

Yes, all the addresses assigned to your wallet can be used again. They never expire, and you can see them by choosing the "Addresses" tab in the Electrum user interface (desktop version). You'll find that in some addresses it says "receiving" and in some "change", but that doesn't mean anything, and you can use "change" addresses to receive as well.

Fellow Binancians,
Binance will list the Coinbase Stock Token (COIN) following Coinbase’s official listing on NASDAQ. We will post a further announcement when the COIN/BUSD trading pair is open on Binance. Users will be able to trade fractional Coinbase stock on the Binance website.

It should be noted, however, that the Coinbase Stock Tokens will not be available to all. Users living in China, Turkey, the United States, and other restricted jurisdictions will be unable to trade COIN.

3971  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 14, 2021, 12:50:42 PM
why I call it a ponzi  ...

Yes, some people believe cryptocoins are ponzi schemes. But they aren't. Why? Mostly because they are legitimate investments which give you a legitimate return. If you believe Bitcoin is a ponzi, then all asset classes should be considered as ponzi schemes. If you don't know what asset classes mean, google it.

why I call it a bubble  ...

I remember reading an article in a business magazine recently. Anyway, one quote stuck with me:
"It is not always easy to explain why assets become expensive, but this does not mean that every risk in the market is about to burst."
3972  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion in our society on: April 14, 2021, 12:13:13 PM
According to nonnewsledger.com, Top 10 Reasons for Crime are:
  • Poverty. This is perhaps one of the most concrete reasons why people commit crimes.
  • Peer Pressure. This is a new form of concern in the modern world.
  • Drugs.
  • Politics.
  • Religion.
  • Family Conditions.
  • The Society.
  • Unemployment.
  • Deprivation.
  • Unfair judicial system.

Quote
No one can escape from the fact; people still fight on racial divides and sectarian issues in society. Even though practicing own religion is a basic human right, yet many uneducated and illiterate people fail to understand it. In several criminal cases, religious fanatics have been accused of murdering innocent people based on their school of thought.

So, as we see, religion can help to reduce crime rates in a particular community, it is also one of the world's top causes of crime. Religious fervour can incite feelings of aggression towards those that do not share their religious beliefs.
3973  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC reached ATH 62K - are we on another milestone, 100K? on: April 14, 2021, 11:57:08 AM
I've been seeing people meme that Bitcoin will reach 69k on 4/20, and while I thought it was funny, I also thought it was somewhat optimistic. Looking at where we are now though, I feel like the community will make it happen lol.
We are just left approximately $5000 to hit $69K so I'm also optimistic and I'm curious how much of a retrace will come tomorrow. what a cryp to bull run so far, BTC is breaking new highs $64K mark. Bitcoin obviously is on a phenomenal run.

Yes, Bitcoin at 69k on 4/20 is more important than Bitcoin at 100k on any given date. Fingers crossed! Grin
3974  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC reached ATH 62K - are we on another milestone, 100K? on: April 13, 2021, 09:34:11 PM
We are about to see a massive rally. I wish to state from the start that I am not calling for bitcoin to explode to $100k anytime soon. I think that the rally will be sharp and well-supported. But before you can consider a sale, I think you should consider how high you are willing to sell at.  Once you have decided on this point, then you can make your decision.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens in the second half of 2021.
3975  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion in our society on: April 13, 2021, 03:35:57 PM
why can't religion reduce the rate of crimes in our society?

Crime happens in all communities. It happens in rich, middle-class and poor neighborhoods, suburban and rural communities. Religion is a tool to control people and not a means of addressing the social problems we face. Any religion that claims to have the power to prevent suicide, murder, molestation, rape or discrimination of any kind is false. We should look elsewhere for a solution to the problems the community is facing.
3976  Other / Meta / Re: My account was stolen on: April 13, 2021, 03:14:17 PM
Or you could keep ignoring the fact that the account is clearly mine, there is proof that it is mine, and therefore it should be returned to me.

Let me get this straight. You claim that the account was stolen from you because you allegedly financed the loan where that account was collateral?

Then how do you explain that both accounts were identified as part of the same account farm and a tagged for cheating in bounty campaigns and spamming (as dkbit98 has already mentioned)?

and the so call bitcoin exchange outthere     they execute the buy and sell order by matching it and  then cancel it out
before  put it into the blockchain so that it looks like the transaction is in real time but actually it isn't

YOUR TRANSACTION NEVER APPEAR IN THE BLOCKCHAIN

Explain, please, what does the internal transactions of a centralized currency exchange have to do with the blockchain transactions?
If you don't know how exchanges work, don't comment. You're just showing the level of your ignorance. No wonder you can't take advantage of this phenomenon.

Based on what you've written in this forum so far, I have just one suggestion: don't overlook the value of basic education.
No brain, no gain. Stay in school.
3978  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Disgust with people of greed ignoring their duties on: April 13, 2021, 12:26:18 PM
I'm surprised this video has made it to the media at all. The security camera is obviously in the same building as the witnesses to this heinous crime, so I wouldn't be surprised if the video was magically lost or otherwise inaccessible.

Every day, we see more and more hate crimes, and the only way to stop them is for all of us to work together. It is not enough to rely solely on law enforcement because, in most cases, their response is too late. I understand that someone may not want to put themselves in danger because they are afraid, but the very least he could do was assist the victim after the assault. Furthermore, he could take a smartphone and photograph the attacker, which would aid police in identifying him.
3979  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 12, 2021, 07:47:45 PM
@rc4739, I took the liberty of looking at your history on a bitcoin forum, so let's recap:

is there someone holding  bitcoin from early 2010
The whole idea of Bitcoin is by Steve Jobs...
can we just reset the diffuculty level back to 1
Is bitcoin for speculation only?
Why did you buy bitcoin?
I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe

So I wonder what's next? Do you have any other stupid ideas?

You don't seem to have any respect for this community and seem to be simply trolling around. Am I right?
Prove me wrong.

3980  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 12, 2021, 04:00:40 PM
Have you seen a ponzi scheme that has last this long and remain sustainable?

Nope. Or it not until now at least. That's why he said "the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe"!  Grin

Bitcoin is a revolutionary and very useful tech/currency. If you remove the deflationary feature it will still be revolutionary and very useful. Unfortunately, this feature is as important as other Bitcoin features... It needs to exist along side with other Bitcoin features for optimal performance.

Nah, let us simply refer to it as "bubble and ponzi". That way, we can skip all of that techno babel.
