3961  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 15, 2012, 09:29:49 PM
I think they might have a bug in their forum software. That thread reloads after 5 seconds. I have the forum set to display 40 messages per page, btw.
When I load up that thread, for the first 5 seconds I can see all the replies, but when it reloads it starts from post 12.
It's quite strange.
You can still see my post directly linked here.
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/article-comments/535-article-bfl-asic-delays-depth-explanation.html#post8140

I think the calls of deleted posts are a little premature.

That would be why I advised Josh to restart the indexer on that machine.

Unfortunately he saw it as a perfect opportunity for a "brilliant" comeback instead. And thus the situation is still not resolved 24 hours later. Would only take a minute too. Oh well.
3962  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-12-12 occupycorporatism.com - Globalist Controlled Bitcoin Becomes “Bank” on: December 15, 2012, 08:58:48 PM
Next time I'll post a thread along the lines of "Bit-Coin acquires NYSE Euronext", we'll see who bites.

I like that.  Grin

It reminds me of that video declaring to be a demonstration of how easy it is to pay for gas with bitcoin. -> cue two dudes standing around staring at their phones for 10 minutes, then one of them going off and paying the station with filthy paper money.
3963  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are the BFL forums in f****** China? on: December 15, 2012, 08:55:06 PM

I'm more interested in why anyone in authority at BFL would allow a company officer to post attack after attack on the most important forum that's relevant to their business.

You know how the Nigerians specifically prepare their 419 scams to be as outrageously absurd and stupid as possible in the attempt to appeal only to the very naive and to not waste time with people calling out their scam.

BFL does the same thing, only they target the perpetually financially distressed and those infinitely angry at the "system". When Inaba flails around his verbal mace, the customer thought process goes "He sure showed these statist thugs with their rules on how business should work and their testing things and their FCC regulations. What a great guy. Soon he'll deliver my ASIC and I can finally put food on my table. Just imagine, no more ramen."
3964  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-12-12 occupycorporatism.com - Globalist Controlled Bitcoin Becomes “Bank” on: December 15, 2012, 08:36:39 PM
Like I said in the other thread. This is a website run by conspiracy theory crazies. They're paranoid about everything under, within and above the sun.
3965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BFL did lie about their ASIC! NEW info. on: December 15, 2012, 08:30:42 PM

3966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Globalist Controlled Bitcoin Becomes “Bank” Supported By Technocrats on: December 15, 2012, 08:17:59 PM
Small wonder. That's a conspiracy theorist site stuffed full with the usual. Icke's Reptilian conspiracy, HAARP, Chemtrails, you name it, it's there.
3967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Defending] Hector Matias Predilalio, My Friend... on: December 15, 2012, 08:00:07 PM
Birds of a feather.
3968  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are the BFL forums in f****** China? on: December 15, 2012, 07:53:49 PM
...if you'd stop with the roids you might not be so angry all the time.

Wait. Waitwait. He's juicing? Does the dude even lift? Because it sure as hell don't look like it. Or is that not him in that avatar pic?
3969  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hector Matias Predilailo AKA Caranada **Info Thread*** on: December 15, 2012, 09:17:15 AM
That's just precious. He runs to the FBI. After he just admitted to committing credit card fraud for years.
3970  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are the BFL forums in f****** China? on: December 14, 2012, 11:18:13 PM
Strange how only this particular topic is missing the page navigation then. It's there for all other topics.

Maybe you should restart your indexer.

Fly a robot up there, have it slap some thrusters on the rock, send it to Earth and crash land it in idk Africa or something.

Don't melt it! You will need it against vampires.

EDIT: GIS "silver garlic". Apparently they are quite common good luck charms.
3974  Other / Off-topic / Re: And some more delays in BFL shipment plans / no shipment before 14th Jan 2013 on: December 14, 2012, 04:31:56 PM
Syke, that's because, at the time, they WERE close to shipping.  Until the chips came in wrong, and they had to redo them, and now they're stuck waiting on the foundry to make the changes.
I thought there wasn't problems with the chips, and they just wanted to make improvements?

That's what Nasser says, yup.
3975  Economy / Economics / Re: What if gold is produced in lab? on: December 14, 2012, 03:01:59 PM

Kurzweil is a pattern recognition specialist and transhumanist philosopher, not a radiophysicist/chemist.

Also that is a completely different thing from "Lets make some gold".
3976  Economy / Economics / Re: What if gold is produced in lab? on: December 14, 2012, 12:48:48 PM

This is a hoax that's being colported since the 60s.

If I had time,

See? And this is exactly what b!z wants to be paid for. The time.
3978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help on: December 14, 2012, 11:50:50 AM
This is bitcointalk.

Bitcointalks, where you bought your coins, is a scam site.
3979  Other / Off-topic / Re: Something Awful goons orpanize to defame and propagandize against Bitcoin here on: December 14, 2012, 10:47:52 AM
I'm pretty sure people were warning against sending Bitcoins to him since he started, being one of those people and all. I changed my tune and put some coins in a pass-through after the Vegas meetup, but I'm an idiot. I'm sorry for what I said earlier in this thread, though... disingenuous trolling.

No worries. What Rudd-O fails to understand is that we have zero interest in seeing Bitcoin destroyed. It would deprieve us of the comedy gold this "community" delivers on a regular basis.  Cheesy
3980  Other / Off-topic / Re: Something Awful goons orpanize to defame and propagandize against Bitcoin here on: December 14, 2012, 10:33:53 AM
To be aware of the people trying to sabotage Bitcoin.
When the time they spend starts producing tangible results, lemme know.

Idk, do you mean results like exposing Bruce Wagner as a kiddy-diddling mortgage scammer, uncovering BFL executive staff's prior conviction for fraud, showing and warning how pirate was running a scam for months before he skipped off with all of your coins?
Sorry. *tangible, negative results. At any rate, they were responsible for warning and showing people Pirate was a scam?  Cheesy

We were warning against investing with him for months. Of course no one listened because everyone just saw "7% weekly interest".
