3961  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] iFarming.Finance (DeFi) - Plagiarized Contents on: November 21, 2020, 05:51:50 AM
Thank you for the warning! Unfortunately, scammers are actively using the current popularity of defi in order to take advantage of its popularity and steal funds. It would be great to come up with something that will once and for all save us from scam projects and from human greed.
For every new scam that is uncovered, hundred more come out. They are not looking to scam a huge population or newbies but only a few are enough before the scam gets taken down either in this forum or by the domain supplier.

Even the you have to be careful and this is not difficult. They all have similar methods to make their projects looks legit - fake team pictures, copied whitepapers, similar sounding domain names to copy out the trend of DeFi and thus gain SEO from every search engine out there.

Its best to assume every new DeFi project is a disguised scam.
3962  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert ]New HYIP script reseller! Goldcoders Hyip Manager Pro on: November 20, 2020, 06:00:44 AM
im not a scammer i have proof stop  accuse me and answer you PM!
Selling HYIP scripts allows you to propagate a scam. That makes you equally responsible for the fraud and thus you need to be marked with the red tag.

"Proof" as to what? You were caught peddling scam scripts or maybe you would be selling bullshit upfront and running away with money. Either way you would be a scammer.

If you have something to say for yourself, stop selling scripts, take part in this forum like a normal user who does not go about doing frauds to make money.

Flag supported and tag added.
3963  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Yearn Finance Tech DeFi shitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 05:54:52 AM
It was getting empty in this section not seeing another "Yearn" "Finance" DeFi scam project getting busted for the last 2 days, previously we were getting more than one every day. Grin

Just looking at that conversion rate, 1 scamtoken is 1 ETH - damn these guys are desperate for money. Added on top is the giveaway, you get 5k$ for spending 10ETH (approx 4800$) - thats seems like a nice deal for a newbie but of course the money is never there at all. Shocked

Flag and Tag are done. Lets see how this unfolds and wait for them to say "It was a bug on site"/ "Whitepaper still being prepared"/ "Team was too shy to click pics" Grin
3964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some bounty hunters are so ungrateful on: November 20, 2020, 05:49:28 AM
Due to high competition of management then its expected that there would be lots of people who are willing to take the task in case those reputable managers would pass out their offers or simply they dont like for the project to be promoted because reputable managers would really be keen on accepting project to be handled.
Quite correct, and that is unhealthy for the system but nobody cares actually because this forum was not built for such projects, they are a side thing here. The objective of this forum is to discuss crypto so alike minded people can get to know more. Not a spamming cult for getting paid in shitcoins.

Quote
Some do make out research first and if they do find out that the project is shady or doesnt agree with the terms then they do tackled on.
Rarely mate, rarely. Most bounty hunters are pretty illiterate as well. I have talked to many and were surprised to see how misinformed many are. Being foolish is one thing but being dumb about when to post in all caps in an investors group does not look good.

Quote
End of thing that these managers are just employees of said projects but there are managers which are part of the team but you can actually point it out which one is not and part of it.
Totally, they are employees and they are also getting scammed if the project turned out to be a scam. Most of them end up as failures as well, so its not an easy job for them.
3965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 19, 2020, 05:38:03 AM
A lottery is an EV- game. You have no way of taking the odds in your hands or modify them using your skills. Just plain old chance based game where you compete with several other having the same intention as you have, winning the big pot.

If you have doubts about this, check the wiki link about lottery, - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lottery_mathematics

However if you like the game and it makes you feel good take part in it, just dont keep wasting too much on it. The real winner is always the casino when it is an EV- game.
3966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some bounty hunters are so ungrateful on: November 19, 2020, 05:19:17 AM
I do hope that bounty managers will start using escrow on bounties because not all new projects have good team, some of them are so mean that they will start rubbishing bounty hunters when it's time to pay them for their work, a perfect example of such team is Bitwings
Fellow bitcoiner, it is not upto them to decide whether they can escrow the bounty pool tokens or not. It depends on the team's decision, the manager is only a paid employee in this forum for them to promote their project.

The bad news is that we have several well known bounty managers but many of them are less known and they are unscrupulous. The low income country resident managers will be like that because once the well known managers refuse the project because they are not using an escrow the team will turn to these less known managers for taking the job.

Ultimately it becomes a waste of time for the bounty hunter.
3967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Coinizie promising 10% daily return on: November 18, 2020, 11:56:15 AM
Well the good thing is that the thread got removed - probably was reported by some other member, good job to them and the mods for this.

In any case the archive of the thread remains and should work as enough evidence to mark them as non-trustworthy and the flag to remain active for now.

The account is probably a shill account a I dont expect it to come back claiming for removal of red trust.
3968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extreme greed on the market on: November 18, 2020, 04:55:30 AM
AFAIK, Oanda US forex broker has created an excellent tool for measuring the fear/greed index on spot markets. Almost 90% of the indicators are based on the price action which can't be the source for fear/greed index, the sentimental spot market analysis can tell us what traders feel and what they are going to do as a crowd. If the volatility is high and euphoria happens, this is a clear example of staying away from buy orders that add more data for this indicator.
Using these tools should be with prior caution too. For experienced users there are many tools but newbies take time to get a hang of it. While the concept of market psychology still needs work from the newbies to get a grip of, it still remains more or less difficult to predict ever for pros.

Most of the times we are following the trend and not starting the trend. But even then we can make profits from that no doubt.

While someone may be happy using a certain indicator, how this correlates with the market psychology takes time to take in.
3969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My view on Bitcoin on: November 18, 2020, 04:50:28 AM
although there are lots of way to use bitcoin but most of people see bitcoin as the simple & easiest way to earn money. Recently bitcoin price increase a lot, that makes investors profitable and also attract new users view on it. But alas for them who miss this oppourtunity. Maybe its unfair to think bitcoin only as the method of earning. Thus bitcoin future will be apart from the purpose it was created for
Bitcoin is a currency, but we have been using it as a mode of investment as well. That however is a secondary thing compared to what fiat is for traditional markets.

While we have been taking investments in fiat for a long time, we became accustomed to it. For new crypto users this phase will takes time but gradually bitcoin will become second to fiat for them too.

I don't think it's unfair, but a gradual progress from one group to another.
3970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: does the stable coin require an underlying? on: November 17, 2020, 05:26:32 AM
based on my experience in economics when currencies are printed to create a stable price that ensures the underlying and also the right financial circulation is it like that in cryptocurrency?
Does bitcoin have a underlying asset? Or do people believe in it and can transact in it making it worthy? I guess this part of the economics is still grey in terms of textbook knowledge and needs more research. Shocked

Quote
If the cryptocurrency uses the underlying, will the cryptocurrency be more stable than other altcoins?
We can take up the scenario of the Stablecoin USDT, it is backed by USD on the Omni blockchain but somewhat considered a scam by many crypto-users.

Quote
will the altcoin be said to be a real asset and can it be legal?
Legality is decided by the ones governing us. Not going into discussions of Anarchist ideals but if they declare it as illegal then there is little you can do about it.

Back to the question in your title, I think most stablecoins out there have a backing. Bitcoin not being a stablecoin does not have any backing. However this is not a proper explanation if the reverse is also true or not, just stating of facts.
3971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum (ETH) Mixer on: November 17, 2020, 05:21:25 AM
I would suggest the OP to not follow any less known sites for this. If I recall correctly there is no such service still available, but I might be wrong. BTC mixers are common and well known but ETH mixers, probably was asked in some other topic in this forum but failed to reach a proper answer.

I would reconsider the reasons why you are trying to mix those coins. To remain anonymous or avoid tracking? Most of it depends on how your local administration handles cryptocurrency holders. The fear lead to the rise of mixers in this sector.

If you are desperate, go for exchanging to BTC and mix that then reconvert to ETH - not sure if that is a good method itself or not (?)
How about converting ETH>XMR which is a privacy focused coin?
3972  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy Trading... on: November 17, 2020, 05:15:40 AM
When cap and/or liquidity is low, it can turn into some pump and dump schemes where pro traders use followers as a leverage for quick profit.
Some platforms as -snip- only trade large cap assets which acknowledge for this risk by default.

Understandable that you are trying to push out your propaganda because you earn from it, but that is not completely correct. After being in the market for several years one which is unregulated and always under the vigilance of bigger authorities and scammers, manipulators, I can safely say that doing so can make you rich or poor at the same time.

The term "pro traders" is a misnomer and one that is rampantly used in the forum like they are real pros, they are not, but only self-proclaimed ones. Majority of the users who are making money are not directly trading but only marketing scams/gimmicks to newbies who are gullible enough to fall for it.

In short, like I said above, copy trading is a scam and if you dont believe it, dont. See it yourself and you will find out on your own. No need to trust my words for it. Roll Eyes
3973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will central banks create their own digital currencies? on: November 16, 2020, 12:14:52 PM
Most people, that is the fiat using people dont care about centralized or decentralized, they dont want to mess up their work with these words and only want the hard green cash in hand. For them this wont matter.

Fact is that bitcoin users have always been against this idea. However with time they will be forced to accept the truth that without the banks support and development of own crypto or allowing merchants to freely access crypto, the users of crypto are going to lose the market to spend their coins.

Even if someone is a hodler, they need to sell at some point or another to book the profit. If there is no longer any market to sell, whats the use of holding them. We are optimistic about that future market and for that I believe banks involvement is essential.
3974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 16, 2020, 12:08:38 PM
I think sigle betting is the safest way to bet on sports betting because it has less risk compared to multy bet. If I want to establish myself to continue gambling every week on only one best team, will I be able to win more money at the end of the season? If not, what will cause me to lose at the end of the season ?
You are assuming that one certain team of your choice is "best" and that they will win every game. This is not the case. Any team can win any game and more so matches may be fixed to fool gamblers, or just your bad luck that your winning streak gets broken in the middle.

Do we see a single team win every match in a season, No. But majority games yes, if they end up as champion.

What you rather need is analysis of previous matches and then calculated guesses based on that. Not just favouritism to one team and blindly betting on that. That is illogical and will end up with losses.
3975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extreme greed on the market on: November 16, 2020, 12:04:22 PM
only selected altcoins can determine the bullish momentum in the current situation, such as Defi altcoins and of course Ethereum, we know that this is a difficult season for altcoins, but we don't give up, just keep holding your altcoins.
If you have been watching the market for a long time, you would not make that statement. Bitcoin is what sets the movement in the first place. Rest all altcoins simply follow the trend. Currently the effect is due to the Paypal deal for crypto payments and this fueled a big bullish trend. Altcoins are following it like anything.

But if you are wise enough you would sell off your altcoins at profit during this pump rather than keep holding on to them. Rest assured, they are not going to be next to bitcoin ever in future, they remain "alts".
3976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My view on Bitcoin on: November 15, 2020, 05:34:16 AM
I believe that in the curent world situation the crypto is one of the best sectors that can lead you to huge profits but not anyone can do this
You must be wise and patient and of course you must know how you avoide scammers
I think you are referring to a long term approach in which case bitcoin is good as long as no huge problem arises in this world that takes down bitcoin with it. For the short term though the stock markets know their deal. Pharma and FMCG is what is making the profit these days if you had some holdings in those stocks already.

But I dont agree that anyone can make profits. I have seen foolish people put their money into other altcoins in the meantime arguing that they think it is going to go up - it is not, thats a ground rule when comparing with bitcoin.

Also avoiding scammers needs practice and experience. Newbies are at highest risk but I have seen veterans get scammed too, so no comments there.
3977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some bounty hunters are so ungrateful on: November 15, 2020, 05:30:54 AM
would they really pay in the end of the duration of the campaign? and also they wont waste up their accumulated btc just to pay out into their marketing if they can pay some shitty token.
Quite the correct point. They would rather keep the more secure/stable asset aka bitcoin with them and use their token to pay because they know it is a shitcoin. Grin

Quote
I did actually get the point on what op is being stated on here but im just on the neutral side on where bounty hunters do have the right to express out their feelings but its a bit unethical if they do directly give out some negative trust without verifying everything. For self-team project manager who do handle out the campaign then it might be worth but for known managers of this forum then its better not to conclude directly.
But honestly, only the hunters care about each other and in a toxic way to the rest of the community. They fail to understand how this forum works and become less mature about handling things like negative trust and scam projects. Thus the reason why the established members of this forum have a dislike regarding them.

Anyway the middle ground for them is to take their risks for real, accept that the project is a failure and move on.

Quote
Bounty hunters do have some mistakes for sometime but this isnt really that much of an issue actually.
Scam projects are the bigger issue IMO.
3978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy Trading... on: November 14, 2020, 05:56:09 AM
I'm not really familiar with copy trading but it looks pretty helpful especially for the newbies. What could be the cons of it for using beside from the newbies wasn't able to get real trading experience from copy trading.
No fellow bitcoiner, it is a gimmick. Let me explain it.

You are copy trading when you are simply following a bigger trader and copy pasting their trades in your orders. The may seem like a nice way to make profit but honestly, if it was so possible would the copy traders not have become millionaires themselves in the first place? Think about it, its not to. You understand the similarity of the confidence trick done with ponzi schemes here?

Majority of people talking about copy trading are scammers looking for money. They tell you that they are selling you the lists from bigger traders but it is complete lie. Orderbooks are open true, but orders made by whom are never open to others.

It ends up being a pump and dump and you are dragged into buying shitcoins while the bigger whale who told you to buy it, sells.
3979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cross-chain exchanges, anyone? on: November 14, 2020, 05:44:41 AM
The COMIT Network is a cross-chain protocol which allows you to perform transactions from one chain to another. It's not an exchange per se. But the protocol can be used to build a cross-chain exchange that would allow a person to trade from one coin to another living on different blockchain networks respectively. The concept is similar to atomic swaps, except that it can be used regardless if the crypto being exchanged has adopted SegWit + Lightning Network or not. It's completely revolutionary if you ask me (more info here: https://comit.network).
I see, this is an interesting information for many users in this forum who are taking part cross platform exchanges. I wonder how long it will take before this becomes something like a normal exchange for everyone. Would like to know more about it in future as to how they are mitigating possible risks associated with this type of conversions.
Quote
For now, we have "wrapped" tokens on the ETH blockchain which are based on the original crypto assets. Exchanging WBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin) to ETH or any other ERC-20 tokens is now feasible. My guess is that developers will go this route instead of creating a new cross-chain exchange from scratch. The current approach is not completely decentralized though. But at least it brings an alternative to people looking to avoid centralized exchanges altogether. As crypto/Blockchain tech becomes mainstream, we might be able to see new concepts of exchanging crypto without middleman. I'm impressed by how far Block DX (a decentralized exchange) has gone. More competition is needed in order to reduce centralized exchange's dominance in the crypto/Blockchain space. Until cross-chain exchanges become a working product, we're going to have to rely on P2P platforms and ordinary decentralized exchanges. Just my thoughts Grin
I have heard of wrappedBTC too, but it is not the complete package but a workaround to ERCtoken<>BTC exchanges. I believe that CEXs are DEXs are not meant to keep fighting for that problem and hope to see only "exchanges" in future even if asking KYC but having a legal backing from government to perform their business without hassle. It will obviously be a long way down after crypto can have a mainstream coverage.
3980  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM Alert] Cryptoboy.ltd Doubler Scam Website. on: November 13, 2020, 05:36:24 AM
Good job finding it and posting it here.

They stopped posting on the forum using their shill accounts because they are not getting bummed by the Type1Flag and newbies are getting cautious seeing it from outside the forum. Hence posting a thread about it will definitely help for those who are going to put up a search on any search engine about the site above.

No effort at stopping a scam goes to waste so keep up the good work. If they make any account to post, open a flag on them too, but I doubt they have the guts to do that. Make sure you report to NameCheap too.
