I shocked when I saw that IPL has been stopped since the virus entered into more teams and in my opinion, it will take at least 2 to 3 months to resume the matches again if they want to continue the matches in India, or else they should move the tournament to UAE or another country which is also less likely to happen.
BCCI and Franchises will take care of the players because they got enough money to keep everyone in the hotels for years so no need to worry about them.
BCCI made the mistake of conducting the matches in India, when the pandemic was at its peak. Now they should properly compensate the players, especially those from the foreign nations. The BCCI bosses (especially Ganguly and Shah) are responsible for this situation, as they never considered any factor other than making money. Now at least they should move the T20 World Cup to the UAE. India is not in a condition to host any major tournament under current conditions. India are passing a tough situation, so this is really anticipated choice. I think it's right call from BCCI, no one should make complain as of now. However, this was meant to be done few days before but they tried to keep going through. As a cricket fan it's sad but safety of cricketers should be paramount and put at highest priority. I am going with Chennai to win the match but it all depends upon how the Mumbai Indians restrict the run flow. They already got an early breakthrough they have the inform Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali in the crease and Ravindra Jadeja won the game for them in their last match and MS Dhoni has to rise to the occasion if everyone fails as Mumbai is having a good bowling line up and it is difficult to score freely in the last 4 overs. Moeen Ali is smashing Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah and if he could score like this for the next 4 overs they can put a good score on the board. After a long time I guess we saw pollard's boom boom batting. At one time I thought he might score a century. CSK also played really well if Pollard had not played well in this match they would won it definitely. It's very disappointing as CSK has lost the match even scoring 200+ score against a team like MI but at the same time we have amazed with the fantastic batting by the legend Kieron Pollard. I think Chennai will win today if they can collect more than 170 runs.
Even i think like that because Mumbai always struggle with their batting and their par score is around 150 runs and they win because they have some of the best bowlers in the world and they usually put pressure on the batsman by picking wickets at regular intervals but Chennai had a good start and Moeen Ali and Faf du Plessis are playing aggressive cricket and they is punishing all the loose balls over the rope and if they go at this pace they will easily score above 170 runs. Absolutely brilliant batting by CSK batsman. In the first half Faf du Plessis and Moeen and then Rayudu great batting display takes Chennai Super Kings to 218, which is massive total and hard to penetrate for any team. MI failed badly maintain sensible bowling attack, their best bowlers Jasprit Bumrah turn out most costly. At the moment, MI batsman Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock on the pitch. They are playing flawlessly and manage 68 runs after 7 overs. |
