As a side note, being capped at 8 connections considers you a leech instead of a seed, which means you have a setting jacked up somewhere in a router or firewall or something
It's not a major problem, but the more people the network has at 8 connections or over, the stronger it is
I noticed my VARY wallet isn't getting more than 6 connections since yesterday, even after a few restarts... would love to get the connections indicator lit up again, is there a node list I could add? I also heard putting "max connections=100" or something similar helps a bunch on some wallets Variance: addnode=23.92.61.98 addnode=82.47.20.169 addnode=178.33.209.213 addnode=85.25.198.151 addnode=104.238.132.171 addnode=71.237.125.226 addnode=98.111.125.85 addnode=173.192.187.138 addnode=192.99.0.112 addnode=195.154.146.221 addnode=101.165.90.37 addnode=134.3.41.70 addnode=71.236.71.3 addnode=2.219.160.208 addnode=83.157.62.179 addnode=71.8.9.183 addnode=92.44.102.218 addnode=182.185.184.241 addnode=68.224.26.233 addnode=69.165.47.72 addnode=46.255.168.83 addnode=5.71.210.14 addnode=151.229.219.75 addnode=82.44.30.10 addnode=77.234.41.134 addnode=77.92.201.169 addnode=92.109.194.30 addnode=137.135.57.119

Only ever getting one active connection for GorillaBucks wallet where MMXIV has 8. Any nodes for that one? Or is that standard?
Thanks
I have 38 currently with no addnodes at all, but here are some from my current peer list GorillaBucksaddnode=151.229.219.75 addnode=23.92.61.98 addnode=32.214.108.194 addnode=46.255.168.83 addnode=68.224.26.233 addnode=50.177.107.4 addnode=148.163.71.201 addnode=199.126.51.233 addnode=60.240.164.100 addnode=182.185.184.241 addnode=75.130.163.51 addnode=178.33.64.235 addnode=9.165.47.72 addnode=83.157.62.179 addnode=82.44.30.10

Hi again. I dont think MMXIV wants me to hold any coins ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Now I cant download the blockchain because the checkpoint is to old. How to go around this? You don't. Let it download or use the bootstrap in the OP

Hi, Is there any dedicated thread for each of the coins mentioned in the OP? I need to sync my MMXIV and looking for a config file. Thanks
No need for a conf file. Just load it up ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FtRiEEZM.jpg&t=663&c=g8QIQomBblIzUQ) It isnt connecting with the network for like 20 min Try closing and opening the wallet

It is based on number of confirmations, not time. The only thing to change to the overall structure of the coin is stake reward amount

Thank you, as always a job well done, and pro!!
Do you have any plans in the near future to change anything on GorillaBucks before block 50k?
The reason I ask is, I understand wallet 4.04 for bucks was about burning the coins, now that thats done, will you leave it as is (I hope), or will you hardfork it again back to the way it was?
Thanks
Vegas
I don't have any for testing on mainnet until we get it listed somewhere else or someone sells on GorillaEx, but from what I've done on my own chain, I'm fairly confident this will be a long-term update, just how 1.0.8 was (and still is) very solid for MMXIV for nearly a year The pace of the chain is very nice, its not crazy fast and inflationary, and its not a 30 day confirm either. I cant imagine how difficult it would be to balance a coin, but I think you might be the first to do it. Vegas It will be much slower, as intended, now that the rush I was in to destroy the coins is over

your coins are in stake, you must wait till they get out of stake. click on your last stake, and you will see how much blocks you must wait
So lets say coins come out of stake at block 12345, don't they go in to a new stake or do you have like 100 blocks to move em before they're re-staked if that makes sense ? Use reservebalance or lock the wallet after you move them off of the GorillaStake address if you don't want them to stake. Otherwise, they will try to right away when they are in Balance Basically I've got a few VARY I'm waiting on to hit the stake colum for the first time. Was just curious how much real time is given to move some coins if required before they're re-staked / locked. I don't want to / need to set a RSV because I want to continually stake what few coins I have but at the same time ask the above question to get an answer on what to do should I say three months down the line or w/e need a few coins. My wallet w staking set is local to my machine... not using your cloud svcs. However long it takes to find a block after being confirmed. You will have plenty of time waiting for them to confirm to get reservebalance in, though, if you know you want to move them

hey all,
I downloaded the wallet for MMXIV and got the bootstrap going but I can't get a connection to the network. I referenced to a post from spots on a seednode that he posted that would work for all 3 coins.
But I have never had to add a node before and I don't know how to do it. I tried just putting addnode=23.92.61.98 into the console but it didn't work and I could not find any idiot proof code on the help info in the wallet.
Any help? Thanks
-Raw
Put addnode=23.92.61.98 in MMXIV.conf in the Roaming/MMXIV2 folder on Windows or .MMXIV2 on Linux

We are about to hit Block 16000 for BUCKS, which will start the new stake reward system to compensate for the (extremely) low starting supply. Enjoy! Please make sure you are on GorillaBucks 4.0.4, which can be found on GorillaStake.com/wallets.html
|
|
|
Ok, half the BUCKS have been burned (250k GONE). The other half popped into stake when I unlocked the wallet, but I'll burn them as soon as they confirm again
getinfo will show new supply on moneysupply so you can verify the first half is, indeed, gone
250k left to burn

GorillaBucks has now updated to 4.0.4. This is a mandatory upgrade prior to Block 12864. Update will speed up blocks so until everything is mature so the extra coins can be burned. The new staking system will kick in at Block 16000. Current rates are a bit too low for the time spent gaining weight. We will use a modified version of the new staking system introduced by Variance after Block 16,000. The reason for the increase in rewards is due to the massive amount of coins being burned very shortly. Expect to see higher rewards while still keeping the high number of confirms needed for newly minted coins Because of this change, I will be keeping the GorillaStake servers offline until Block 50,000 to ensure everyone who wants their coins off can get them off prior to the next round of staking from us. If your coins enter Stake again between now and Block 50,000, it happened on your computer, not our systemSo let's get this straight. You'll email your BUCKS users for polls and things like that, but for a mandatory wallet update, you rely on your users seeing this post on BCT? Ill keep reminding users about my site, that do not have the time to keep up on this forum and or thread. There is a very easy and simple solution. Go to my website www.bitcoinlasvegas.net and scroll down to about the middle of the page. Look to the left where it says "Subscribe to Blog via Email". Put your email address in there, and click subscribe. ANYTHING that is important in crypto , you will receive an email. This will include all new coin releases (NEVER ICOS), new wallet releases (ALL Spots wallet updates, the hour they are released), and any other important event that impacts Cryto. No fud, no trolls, no spam, no bs, and NO COST or ads, EVER! I sift through this landfill hourly called Bitcointalk.org and pick out about 1% of the information that I deem worthy of my website and post it. If your subscribed, youll get an instant email , and wont have to use your time to read fud, and crap. If you decide to, you can easily unsubscribe. I do NOT sell or copy your information, this is for US, the community to make our lives easier, thats all. I cannot count how many times Ive been told it is the BEST website for crypto. My gift to the community. Enjoy! If for any reason you dont think this IS the best crypto website in the world, tell me why, post it public. I want to hear it. The site has been up over a year with hundreds of pages of quality content, and I have not had 1 complaint.Vegas Then you can vouch that I did, indeed, send out an email with the links to everyone prior to posting this

Thanks for all you are doing Spots. Some of us appreciate it!
Will the next MMXIV update be PI compatible?
I have the other wallets running well, already have bucks up to 4.0.4 but I had to revert to an older version of MMXIV on the PI. Its not as pretty but it works, Id like to keep it on there if I can.
cheers.
Why did you have to use a previous version of the wallet on Pi? It's the same version of MMXIV, but uses a different Qt version (all the trading and fancy stuff). The Pi wallet is an old Qt version that runs a lot nicer and more efficiently on low-spec 32 bit systems or limited resource ARM builds If this is about Qt4 vs Qt5 then I understand. Qt5 is not yet available for Pi Raspbian Wheezy as readily downloadable packages. The latest Qt for Pi is 4.8.2. I have built Qt5 on Pi and experimented with Qt5 wallets but it looks butt ugly and the dependencies is jut a nightmare. There is actually no need to have Qt wallets for Pi and the headless daemons work perfectly for staking. It is not really necessary to put all the effort into Qt5 wallets for Pi until they release packages for it. It would be beneficial for devs that release Qt5 wallets to also provide a Qt4 project file maybe in a separate git, but doing that effort will only really help the Pi users since Qt5 is available for normal desktop Linux. Yes, that is the issue, which is why I'll just do two separate repos for those that want a GUI on a Pi or whatever else

I'll make two versions and will post source that uses both versions of Qt
After this update, there will be a new repo on my Github named MMXIV-OldUI, which will have no problems compiling on any version Pi or similar device
Excuse my french but... fuck yeah! Thanks No problem. Luckily I have plenty of experience by now running wallets on Pi
