I've been thinking, what if magkaroon tayo dito sa forum ng LIKE or DISLIKE BUTTON, para naman kung may magustuhan man tayo pero hindi pa sya worth ng merit eh atleast alam ng nagpost or nagreply na naappreciate ng tao ang gawa nya.
At dahil ang Merit ay binibigay lamang sa mga posts na talagang may sense at nakakatulong, para naman hindi na natin pa kailangan ulitin at i-quote na sumasang ayon tayo sa opinyon ng iba.
I just created this thread because at the meantime madami akong nababasang replies na kaaya aya, kaya hindi na din ako nagrereply sa mga thread na nasagot na ng maayos. Sana maging ganito din ang iba para hindi paulit ulit yung nababasa natin NAKAKAASAR lang kasi.

I probably won't make changes in the near future, but I've been thinking about the captcha issue, and I wonder what people think about reCaptcha.
Where reCaptcha is used now, something is required, and AFAIK all other captcha services can be OCRed and are therefore useless. End-users often like SolveMedia, but those seem really easy to OCR. I actually really like the image classification approach on a theoretical level, though I hate relying on NSA-lite Google, and occasionally on Tor they throw you into some insane black hole of difficulty (though you can change your Tor exit to fix that).
I really dont mind having them here in the forum as long as they are fast to load. Although I'm patient from waiting but not that long enough like the captchas in 2captcha.com, that's why I quit that work. Its just a matter of time just to solve it so if you added it here like the one from the log in I guess there won't be a problem. |

I don't think you've been long enough here to understand the rules of the forum. I am registered here for more than four months but I still catching up with so many rules on different boards. But before I registered, I only use the forum for read-only feature offered for non-member. In my opinion, merit system was a necessary measure to end the spamming problem. I have difficulty reading the discussions when all I see is just a spam on a particular thread. The people that moderates this forum is facing a lot of challenges to keep the forum ecosystem healthy. I haven't received any merits too yet but you won't hear me complaining about it. I am here to participate discussions about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, I'm just lucky enough that some bounty campaigns allow Jr.Member to participate, a passive reward opportunity, so I could earn money and pay my electricity for this computer and my internet bill and continue my reading habit in this forum, medium, and what you call it? Steemit? it is also filled with spam and low-quality post.
Mate. You're also a good example for us newbies but still i can't stop feeling bad for you, maybe you're just not active in the last months or days because it only took me 2 months to reach this rank and still I'm working on my feet to get to the higher ranks just to earn and to contribute more here in the forum. I wish you luck and hope you'll stay active as long as you can for you to be able to get payed off for what you really deserve. |

Why not? Being homeless is not the reason why they do not use bitcoin. Here in bitcoin, there's no rule that the only wealth people invest in bitcoin. We can earn here even without spending money as long as we have patience and diligent.
I think there is a problem being a homeless, the first thing is how can they access the internet without any devices that can help them. Second, being homeless is a real problem, if you're gonna put your place into them how would you live? Will you try to educate yourself first in order to join the crypto community or rather surviving will be your priority?. And we already knew that anywhere here in the world, there is no establishments that offer free usage of the devices that can use internet. We may just find some locations that has a free internet connection but not a free tool or device. So, even though there's no need to spend money here in bitcoin we can't guarantee that the homeless will try to participate or join this thing. Expenses in our daily lives comes first before anything else don't you think? That's why I can't possibly agree to this except there are such people whose gonna pay for them to gain access to the internet. |

I may not be the best writer, but after looking around, the members with the most merits aren't that great either, I mean not in the least, neither do they provide great content or insight. So how did they get all those merits with sub-par content? The senior members say post good content and you will get merits. Hog wash!! It is almost impossible to earn merits on here... Why??? Hope this not a good ole boy's system.... (That's why I love Steemit)!! Another question??? Who the heck determines what good content is. I provide a lot of insight and I have written some good post here but I never get a merit. My question is why is it so hard to earn merits on bitcointalk.org. Sounds pretty counter-intuitive to me... Please help someone!!  I have seen your profile and the date when you registered, its almost same as mine, the fact that I was only ahead of you with 13 days gap and currently active. How come that you didn't receive enough but I did? The answer lies on yourself buddy. It's not that hard to earn Merit if you can just understand how to earn it in a positive way. Try observing your posts and compare it to the others, observe and know what you are lacking. If you have some time to make a useless posts then why don't you give a try on giving some time to read and understand some threads here. It depends on you. Kung hindi mo kaya iimprove ang posts mo then you'll stay on your place as it is. Nakakasama lang ng loob yung mga nag rereport tapos angkop lang naman ang iyong post.
Unang una hindi mairereport ang posts mo kung may saysay ito. Pangalawa kung may sense man ang reply mo pero may katulad na, ano pang silbi nito? Pangatlo, kung magrereply ka siguraduhin mo nakakatulong ito o makabuluhan ang bawat sinasabi mo and also use some appropriate words for your posts or replies. And mate kindly limit the space between lines. Maybe there is some kind of exemption regarding to those who have negative trusts. Negative trust is also working because many of them are now on the blacklists of some particular active managers here like lauda, yahoo and the other sensitive people with that they cant participate to their campaigns. And how about managers with negative trust managing bounty?
For the reason they're still running some campaigns I think they can still be trusted although maybe there are some issues about them. |

What a nice thread you have here and although some are only conclusions, I really cant hardly suggest the tracking of every data collected from this forum because it will be a hassle to do even though you have so much time to spend on it.
Updating this thread every week may also give you a hard time but you can atleast twice a week or once per month.

Na isip ko lang din kasi itong paraan para mabigyan din ng pagkakataon na mag rank up ang mga pinoy na good poster. Ang goal naman po ng Merit system ay maging quality poster ang bawat member at hindi mang spam para lang sa sig. campaign. Yung about sa merit system abuse madali natin silang mairereport kasi magiging obvious kung magbibigay sila ng malaking merit sa alt accounts nila.
Actually di pa mabilang sa daliri ng kaliwang kamay ko ang pinoy na nag rereport ng spam/spammer...  It's either they don't care because isa sila dun or their alts ang nag shit post kaya walang nag rereport... Isa sa mga pinag babasehan ko bago mag bigay ng merit sa isang post is yung nag post mismo, if hindi nag rereport ng spam, then they are one of them, why would I give a merit then? I can't help it to laugh about your opinion sir (dun sa hindi pa mabilang sa kaliwang daliri ) although it's true maybe they're already tired of reporting it to you that's why you don't have anymore pending reports to comply. The fact that sometimes the reports of the members are being missed out and I thought that its one of their reasons not reporting it anymore even though we all knew that you moderators have a lot of tasks to do daily so we can't totally blame you. And IMO you have a unique way of spending your sMerits, I hope Mr./Ms. Dabs will also be active again so you wont handle this things on your own again (Correct me if ive been mistaken because its what i see). Let's talk about post quality here, if you are observing the posts on every thread on this forum(mostly Bitcoin Discussion, Gambling, Meta, Trading Discussion) and so on, since this are the threads which we mostly used, as you could see, there is a lot of people who are posting 1 line or 1 line and a half(except newbies) account they are exempted to that, but seeing higher ranks like Full Member to Legendary(just saying because I'm seeing some)posting 1 line or 2 lines and sometimes it is out of the topic or doesn't make any sense(just some of the 1 liner post, not all of them), which we are expecting some more since the higher rank the better opinion or advice they could give, right?
I think the higher officials on this forum should make some action with that if we really want to improve the post quality of all the members here in this forum. The merit system won't do because if they know that their post is not worthy of a merit, then they don't care about it as long as they are earning, right?
E D I T: I'm not saying that I'm a good quality poster, I'm just saying that those people who are shit posters on this forum should be punish or give some warnings, it is not fair, they are toxic on this forum.

Yeah, you have some point that is why I've said that not all of the 1 liner or even 2 liner post are all shit post or doesn't make any sense. I totally disagree to your perception buddy, its not just the famous ones that keeps on getting some Merits, just like me. Im not famous but I already gain enough points to rank up in just a little time although going further to FULL MEMBER will cause me almost 3 to 4 months because of a hundred requirements of Points. And for your opinion that crypto will be on hold, I think it wont be happening because even the newbies didnt join this there's already a lot of people whose fond in using cryptos as part of their source of income in the first place. Its not all about the quality but also the content of your statements that could benefit the other Members of this community, thats already enough to gain Merits, and even though there are chances that they'll miss your posts, just be patient and your efforts will be payed off. |

Pwede ring mangyari na yung isang account gagawa ng event then naka handa na yung sagot ng Alt niya para magka merit which I think is happening and may nakita na akong ganyan dito sa local, and right now pinapa check ko pa kung may connection sila...

Although hindi dito sa Local Section natin, pero meron ng mga certain events that can give you some Merits. Maganda din ang naisip mo para sa Section natin, ang kaso nga lang ay bibihira rin ang mga high ranks dito na magbasa sa Locals and as for our mods si rickbig na lang ata ang active.
