...
Zasto na listi nije The Wire?  Cry

Rikafip, I think you missed a question I asked above:

Rikafip, all the topics mentioned in OP are still active? I'm asking to know on which one to jump next Smiley

I want to start working on other threads as well and I need your answer to prioritize them somehow...
Ah yes, sorry. All those thread identified by @FatFork were started not longer than 2 weeks ago, so they are probably still live, but from what I can see, all spam posts there have been removed already so I guess someone already did the job.

If only this would work... As you see in Rikafip's reply as well, this easy method (as any easy methods, generally speaking Smiley) just won't work
Yep, I even created topic in meta about that issue but never got an answer from mods/admins. Someone might say that it could be abused by hiring spammers to competition thread in order to get nuked, but I think even that could be sorted somehow.
3983  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak on: December 19, 2021, 07:05:17 PM

cijela druga sezona witchera

druga epizoda the expanse
Veselim se ovoj novoj The Expanse sezoni.

the wheel of time - drugorazredni cgi, prestao gledati nakon prve epizode

Najprecijenjenija serija koju sam (probao) gledati.

3984  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda back as Ratimov, (alleged) on: December 19, 2021, 06:36:53 PM
I think Lauda is hanging around, but I don't think she is Ratimov. Really hard to believe she left the forum for good without any real good reason IMO.
I'm almost certain Lauda is a "he", because Theymos referred to Lauda as such one time, though that's making the assumption that Theymos knew enough about Lauda to know that particular fact.  But since Lauda was so private, even about gender, I usually tiptoed around it when referring to him/her.  Do you happen to have the scoop on that?
While writing in Croatian, Lauda always uses masculine gender. Croatian grammar is way more complex than English and it is quite hard to use gender other than your own, without slipping occasionally.

Some time ago I shared few examples from Lauda's writing in Croatian, and how would it look like if he considered himself female. For me that ends this whole debate about Lauda's gender and I don't bother using that ridiculous "they" or "he/she" when talking about Lauda. He considered himself as "he" when writing in Croatian and for me that's enough.

All those that understand Croatian/Serbian shouldn't have any doubt whether Lauda is a male or female. Among other things, we have  genders for verbs in past tense and adjectives. In his posts made in Croatian board,  Lauda always used masculine gender. I remember some time ago I was so bored that I actually tried to find posts where he used feminine gender, to no avail.

Just an example from one of his posts. Adjectives and verbs are bolded, all masculine gender.

Razumio sam sada.

Grin

This is how it would look like if it was written using feminine gender

Lauda's English was impeccable, by the way.  I always thought he was a native English speaker, though for some reason I also thought he didn't live in the US or UK.
And that's another reason why OP is completely off, as there is a huge difference in English level between Lauda and Ratimov.

Yeah, Lauda have the magic ability to have all possible gender identities including regular male and female, he is speaking all world languages including Croatian and Russian, and he owns all bitcointalk profiles.
That just confirms that old theory that you are one of his alts. Cheesy
3985  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: December 19, 2021, 06:23:16 PM
After a long day of "report spree" I reported all the spam from the topics mentioned above by FatFork and keyscore44 -- 912 reported posts in total. Whoa Smiley Like in old good days. Sadly, I did not have so much time for making reports lately, but I believe I'll have a more free period in next days thus I'll return to my "old habits" Smiley
Damn, crazy report spree, good job. Unfortunately it's the same situation with me, not enough time to be as active on the reporting scene as I used to be, especially when I see forum staff unwilling to nuke whole threads that consist of nothing but paid spam.

I see that Vitor Services is still up and running. I'll do again all I can to limit their impact.
Yep, those guys are like cockroaches.

You could put something similar to "zero value post, possible bumping service", and that way, you won't have to report every individual post because the whole thread will most likely get trashed. Little tip to save some time Wink
Hm, I was never able to get get the whole thread thrashed, unless I reported each and every spam post. And even then, only those paid bump posts were deleted, and not the original post.
3986  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: December 18, 2021, 01:48:47 PM
It looks like bumping services are more gentle now. They used to spam 5 or more posts a day, now there is less. Or this version of the service has been ordered.

Self moderated thread and almost the entire thread are fresh accounts with short and typical comments.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5375367.0
It's probably the latter, their activity depends on the package you buy. At least that's how Vitor Services are doing it, which are by far the biggest thread bumping providers. This is how their packages look like.

Rickafip, I found a few more candidates to add to your list:
The same newbie accounts are bumping all of these threads as the one I mentioned earlier today.

Nice work, I will add those threads shortly. By the looks of it, it's yet again before mentioned Vitor Services. Those guys are simply unstoppable, kudos on selling their useless thread bumping. Those buying their services have to be completely clueless on how things work around here as that's the only explanation how they manage to keep on going with this.
3987  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roobet scams FORCED TO GAMBLE on: December 12, 2021, 11:22:36 AM
Actually 25% sounds like they're giving you a break. Maybe read TOS before sending your money to sketchy gambling sites.

https://roobet.com/termsandconditions

Quote
You acknowledge that the company may put a minimal wager as a condition for your withdrawal further to prevent money laundering, terror financing and currency swapping. The company may input a wagering requirement of up to 300% (three hundred per cent) of your deposit. All bets made you make in the games offered on the website count towards that wagering requirement. Further information on the gambling services offered on the website can be found in the Game Service section of this policy.

(emphasis mine)
Damn, it can go up to 300% wagering requirement for your own deposit?? I understand having 25% requirement (after all, you deposit your money to gamble there, right) but with a possibility to get it increased to 300% at their whim you have to be either degen gambler or completely clueless to ever deposit your money there.

Honestly, I would never use Roobet and I have no idea how these online casinos are getting away with stuff like that. One thing is having wagering requirement for bonuses, but up to 300% for deposits is just crazy. I worked in the industry for years (brick&mortar casino) and stuff like that simply wouldn't fly there. At least that's how it was in Croatia when I worked there ~15 years ago, maybe Las Vegas and places like that are more strict when it comes to that.
3988  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: December 12, 2021, 10:40:39 AM
OP while your mancho strategy may work for you. I think its best to cut bad losses before they get worse. One of the mistakes investors make is comparing bitcoins to altcoins. Altcoins are less reliable than bitcoins. Some projects are dead projects with no use cases, no utility. These coins are no good to hodl for the long term if you do you will be shooting yourself in the leg.
Regarding cutting losses, that's another important thing that many people don't do. I did that in mid 2018, I sold all my altcoins with significant loss, and bought BTC. It wasn't easy to sell with 50% loss, but if I haven't done done that and went with "all or nothing" tactic, I would end up with 90-95% loss.  Don't marry yourself to a coin, just sell that shitcoin if you see that there is no progress and instead buy BTC.
3989  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: December 12, 2021, 10:34:50 AM
There is always going to be a risk to reward ratio and its always subject to you the investor. Mine is simple 'I have a target to an investment and its either I archive it or I'm ready to loose it all'. This aggress with the singular investment principle that states, 'invest only what you can afford to loose'.
That's pretty bad investment tactic, to sell all only after it reaches some specific price as that's how newbies usually get rekt, waiting for price that coin/token never reaches. Instead, you should scale your sell orders, and same thing goes when you are buying.

I rarely invest in altcoins, but when I do my first goal is to get back initial investment and go back into BTC, and then I sell percentage of what's left each time it reaches specific price. I learned my lesson back in 2017/2018 when I used your tactic, and in the end I ended up with almost nothing as we now how altcoins ended and similar thing will happen again once bear market reaches.
3990  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: December 12, 2021, 10:06:23 AM

3991  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: December 12, 2021, 09:28:26 AM
Ja osobno preferiram USDC kad god drzim nesto u stablecoinu. Doduse to je sve uglavnom kratkorocno.

Btw.
3992  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: December 12, 2021, 09:18:49 AM
Haha.

3993  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: December 11, 2021, 04:22:32 PM
3994  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ledger Card Honeypot on: December 11, 2021, 03:59:25 PM
Honestly i doubt about part where the coin stay on hardware wallet since the website also say "Top-up & manage your card easily and securely through Ledger Live". Hopefully they don't mean you must send coin to card first so the card automatically convert the coin to fiat at time of purchase.
Both you and @suchmoon made a good point, haven't really thought about that part. In this case it's not any better than Binance as again your money will be controlled by someone else.

Of course, funding cards with crypto is only a temporary solution while shops don't accept crypto directly. Give it time Smiley
That's how I see it and I think that people are impatient, and often forgetting how much was is done in a little bit more than a decade. Vast majority of those  who think that it's a piece of cake for business to decide accepting crypto and that adoption is way too slow probably never owned any serious business and had that kind of responsibility. Talk is cheap.

4% cashback in XLM, and if you use USDC to fund it, since it's a 'stablecoin', there are no tax implications.
Are you paying those crazy high ethereum transaction fees for every transaction you make with your card?
I think it's not so smart at all to use something like this when transaction fees can go over $100, and ''stable'' don't sound so stable anymore.
Why would he use Ethereum to transfer USDC since there are cheaper ways to do it.

3995  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ledger Card Honeypot on: December 10, 2021, 11:44:19 AM
I don't see any benefit compared with other crypto debit/credit card, so i doubt this product will be popular.  New user is more likely to use card from more popular company (e.g. Binance) while veteran user would use card which already ready to use.
Well, in case of Ledger card your crypto will be on your hardware wallet and not on the exchange. For me that's a pretty big advantage, given that their fees and ease of use remains somewhat similar to Binance card.

I don't know what terms and fees they will offer and if that is better than binance card, but it's red alert for me to connect anything like this with cold wallets.
If I ever decide to try their card, I certainly won't connect my main cold wallet which I access once or twice per year. Instead, I will simply get another Ledger and once per month send the funds I plan to spend there, like I am doing now with Binance.

3996  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ledger Card Honeypot on: December 10, 2021, 06:23:32 AM

Doesn't the same thing apply to all other crypto debit cards? I mean, is there a card that doesn't require us to go through KYC?
True, AFAIK all debit card issuers ask for KYC but I was more aiming at Binance as I know that majority of people here are reluctant ( for a good reason) to give them their personal info. Unfortunately, I had to go through KYC in order to get access to my account; ~3 years ago my mobile phone where I had Google authenticator suddenly stopped working (couldn't fixed it either), and I couldn't find that recovery code, meaning I was locked out of the account. So in order to prove the ownership as I entered my real name there, I had to go through KYC.

If I didn't go through KYC already I probably wouldn't do it just for the sake of Binance card, even though I must say that it's much easier to spend crypto that way, than paying 5-7% fee on BATM and then depositing the money on your bank account like I did for a couple of years. That fee may seem ok when you are cashing out smaller amounts like few hundred euro, but when you want to cash out let's say 10k euro and BATM takes one average Croatian monthly salary (700 euro) as a fee, that fucking hurts.

3997  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ledger Card Honeypot on: December 09, 2021, 06:16:22 PM
Unfortunately I don't have any dirty money to launder, so I'm more concerned about usability, practicality, and affordability
When it comes to bolded part, nothing beats Binance card. The biggest downside is that you will have to go through KYC on Binance in order to get one, but if that isn't a problem for you then that's the way to go if you want to spend crypto in an easy way.

I've been using it for about six months now and I am pretty satisfied with it. Daily limit is quite big (~8000 euro), fee only 0.9 (default 1% cashback basically covers that),works on every ATM (daily limit for that is only 290 euro) and is pretty reliable. It will get occasionally denied for no obvious reason, but other than that it works pretty good.

I think that it's a good thing that Ledger is getting into debit card market as more competition should mean lower fees and better service and that's what we all want.

3998  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ledger Card Honeypot on: December 09, 2021, 01:32:06 PM
It's still unknown what countries and regions will be available, but whitelist button is not working for me so I can't see more details about this card.
Some info about first countries that will have access to their debit card leaked. And whitelisting worked for me normally, I got the email.

Expected to launch in the U.K., Germany, and France in the first quarter of 2022 — and in the U.S. in the second quarter — the card will be connected to the company’s desktop and mobile app Ledger Live, enabling users to conveniently buy, swap, and stake their crypto.

Is this a perfect honeypot or what?
Doubt it, but one can never be too careful, especially not after their data leak. But just in case, I am using a brand new email and if I decide to try it out, will get a new Ledger that will be used for that only.

3999  Economy / Services / Re: HIRE A DEFI, NFT, ICO, IDO, STO, CRYPTOCURRENCY WHITEPAPER WRITER on: December 09, 2021, 10:13:24 AM
You trust feedback really says everything that someone has to know about your professionalism and quality as a whitepaper writer. Someone has to be completely clueless to hire you but then again, only  completely incompetent team will hire someone else to write whitepaper for them, instead doing that in house so I guess that's yours target audience.

Experienced and quality  writer knows how to format copied text, and will always mention references. If you really have 10 years of copywriting  experience (as you claim) you would know that, instead doing a newbie mistake.
4000  Other / Meta / Re: If the signature campaings are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave? on: December 09, 2021, 09:37:43 AM
This looks like a honeypot. I'm sure everyone who chose the first option will be banned, and everyone who chose the second option will be red-trusted for being dishonest.

Why?  I voted for the second option and I’ve never been part of a signature campaign and can’t see any circumstance in which I would.
I don't think that suchmoon was serious about that honeypot thing, but one thing implied there is true: ~95% (pure guesstimate based from what I saw in these 2 years on the forum) of the people that are wearing signature are either lying to themselves or others (probably both) if they claim to keep the  same activity regardless of signature campaigns.

Hell, majority of people adjust their posting habits based on the signature campaign rules and now imagine what would happen if there is no financial incentive to keep posting day after day, without never taking a break. Taking a break here in majority of cases equals to being kicked out of campaign and no one wants that.
