Hi guys, The MintPal leader just published the rule of removing coins: http://blog.moolah.io/2014/09/06/mintpal-v2-policies-on-addition-removal-verified-markets-and-ico-escrows/Path to RemovalThe following are paths to removal. 1.Coin has less than 0.2 BTC volume per week, for a period of 4 weeks. 2.Coin abandoned by developers, with no new developers stepping up to take over. Essentially, if a coin dies. 3.Request by the developers, where backed by majority sentiment within the coin community. If not backed by the community, we will not act on this request.
Verified Markets
We will be introducing a new flag in the form of verified markets. A verified market is one that has met the following requirements. 1.Developer identity verified (commonly known as POD). 2.Valid roadmap published to the general public, with rough timelines also included. 3.Functional wallet. 4.Functional blockchain explorer. 5.Functional website. 6.Coin older than 90 days. 7.A meeting between ourselves and the developers, to get a feel for the project and the people behind it. I think we can prevent removal: The 0.2 BTC per week is easy to achieve I think This coin is not abandoned we work on several development projects (Android Wallet and my Geo-location idea) Interesting the POD and I think we can add value when we work on that. So maybe we have to put some effort in the community so that we can stay listed @ MintPal. It was a long way to come there and sin if we let that opportunity. What concrete steps has to be made now? It appears to me that Mintpal's trading volume requirement is far less than Bittrex's. Bittrex now requires 0.7 BTC volume per week. Mintpal only requires 0.2 BTC volume per week, and also has a 4-week "grace" period. I feel it won't be too difficult for us to keep both exchanges if we want. Moolah just made this requirement last week, so it's better we will focus now on mintpal because of low requirement of trading. |

Also, if we (Supercoin) are to progress we can't sit back idly and assume everything is already good enough. Nothing will happen, and we will float around 2000 sat for as long as we already have been. If everyone is happy with that, then by all means lets sit back and continue to watch.
Supercoin will NOT "fly to the moon" simply by posts in this thread saying "moon time" "ready for liftoff" "keep pushing" etc etc. I've made posts like these early in the posting history. But I've realized it doesn't accomplish anything at all. What does it willingness of developers to GO OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE. Start considering what community members have been asking. Consider doing a POD (proof of dev)!, consider letting a professional audit the code! Considering hiring a professional marketing guy! Why? because these are what will actually help Supercoin get off the ground, let alone to the moon. The only way it will not help supercoin is if developers are shady, and the code is fake. If it is real and they are real, then what is the hold up? Not doing it, is basically as bad a failing right now.
Sadly the problem is other coins (newer then supercoin) are utilizing new fads (POD etc) and they are surpassing supercoin while we sit back on the launchpad.
POD - as others say, would be a real asset, it is IN right now and what many people want.
Code audit - also would create major value. Everyone will remember supercoin as the FIRST coin with anonymous trust-less multisig transactions. THAT ADDS TREMENDOUS VALUE, look at bitcoin.
As it stands in simple terms:
Trustless Anon + bad marketing + sitting idling as other coins develop past = 2000sat
Trustless + POD + better marketing making use of POD = Higher
Trustless + Code audit = Even higher
Trustless + POD + Code Audit + marketing = TO THE ACTUAL MOON.
Edit: and I'm basically reiterating what other members are saying. As I agree, we need to continue moving forward and catering to what the cryptoworld wants.

Looking forwards for the release of android wallet.  Yes that is the next milestone. After that we need some ecosystem for EnergyCoin. So real applications where you can spend or earn your coins using the Android wallet. The geo-mapping of trees is one of the next milestones I work on. any news for the android wallet, @SF? I have new version but I will wait till the weekend and I will distribute it for beta testing. The POS still need sorting out. I would certainly like to help test the awesome new wallet I will also love to help on testing. It will be good if we select some members from community. |
