3981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020 Discussion Thread on: March 26, 2020, 10:55:32 AM
This is obviously a great decision and I don't see the need to debate this. Even if they decided to go ahead with it without any crowd, the athletes would risk their health just for our pleasure making it a stupid move overall.

Every major event that I know of has been cancelled or postponed to next year which is why I was not surprised to hear about the Olympics being postponed to 2021 at all. 2020 will be remembered for Coronavirus primarily and nothing else.

How is everyone sure that this covid-19 virus will disappear in 2020 and will never return. There can be a chance where in Feb / Mar 2021 we could see the virus again being activated due to cold seasons. I think this is too early to say when will the Olympics will resume. Also the crowd gathering may be ban for indefinite time.
3982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Olympics 2020 Discussion Thread on: March 26, 2020, 08:32:44 AM

It is very likely that Olympics may be postponed this year and maybe shifted to 2021.
Do you think this decision is good for the sports and the players and how it will effect the sports betting business ?
3983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Corona coins taking over on: March 25, 2020, 01:39:46 PM
For those who knew and though otherwise and for those who never knew, we have few Corona coins amongst us today and ain't just one, until now there are 3 known Coronavirus coins that I am aware of and here is the list

1. CORONA (CORONA)
2. CoronaCoin (NCOV)
3. Coronavirus Token (CNV)

None of these coins makes any sense to me and they are just another plot to scam those who knew nothing, if you have more you can drop I'ma will be glad to upgrade the list

Its strange that people are happy to name their coins on the deadly disease and virus. Do you know if any of these coins is listed on any exchange or people just created these coins for fun. After all it takes less than a dollar and few mins to develop a ERC20 token.
3984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Freewallet EOS Wallet reliable? on: March 24, 2020, 02:54:05 AM
I think the private key is as important as coin or tokens if you hold on freewallet you don't get the private key.
in simple words: No private key no control on your coins. please use that wallet which provides you private key

If you do not hold the private key, sooner or later you will find yourself in trouble. Even the genius say that if you do not hold the Private key , you do not hold the tokens/funds. I think we should avoid using freewallet or even if anyone uses it, only store minimal number of tokens there.
3985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 23, 2020, 05:59:59 PM
Knowing about the age restriction about gambling, and being applicable to online gambling as well. Is it really effective to limit the players? Because from my experience playing through different gambling sites, I don't see any that most of there are strict. They are just allowing you to create account and you can even fake your credentials to enter age above the limitation. There are some sites that don't really have anything to ask their players, and will allow you to directly play after your email has been verified. Yes, you have set your age in your email, but what if you exceed your age in your email as well?

That means, players of any age has really no restriction in gambling because of the weak regulation. Though, I don't like KYC to be a mandatory to every gambling sites. Maybe these sites could just improve or develop a system to detect if the players are really in legal age to play.

I could not think of any other way but KYC to verify if the one joining a gambling site is legit and of age, people want anonymity, and because the competition is very high in the online gambling sector they do away with KYC so, in reality, we'll never know if the one joining is of age and not a child who wants to gamble his allowance.

Either you do or implement KYC and lose your customers / players (because many gamblers do not want themselves to be disclosed who they are) or Do not make KYC compulsory and allow the under-age play the gambling. It's a trade off and you have to choose between the two.

I prefer no KYC on gambling sites and parents / elders looking after their kids activities and keep the check & balance on them. After all, if parents can't control their kid to avoid gambling, why would the gambling sites care who is playing and who is not. Also the purpose of the casino is to collect money and they don't care the age of people playing.

3987  Other / Meta / Re: Slow loading of bitcointalk forum on: March 15, 2020, 06:25:07 AM
Maybe you are the only person having a problem here, maybe people in your country. It could be an Internet connection problem in your country. A week ago, I met the same situation, but they eventually fixed it. I was online on this forum more than 12 hours yesterday, everything went well and there was no delay. Check your internet  Wink

Didn't get the clue to the temporary problem but since both bitcointalk and internet are working properly for last 12 hours, I am locking this topic to prevent the spam. Thanks for the advices everyone.  Smiley
3988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: March 15, 2020, 06:16:49 AM
Going back to Casimero vs Inoue, I'm sure organisers are looking ways to stage the fight without putting risk on boxing fans, I don't know how are they going to implement it, but we will see if they can make it happen as schedule so that we as boxing fans can still watch this very interesting and good fight.

They can't change the current set up, this is not possible without the fans watching them, so its either they postpone it or they will face the risk of being infected on the virus, the thing is, no matter how careful you are, there are still possibilities that the virus will spread, and this big crowd here, the risk is so high, if other sporting events like NBA are suspended, I would not be surprise here will be postpone.

This will be a disappointment for the fans if the match is postponed. People have been waiting for this fight for a long time and they will not want it to be postponed. The match is to be played on April 25 in Las Vegas and I do not want any bad news because of the coronavirus for this match. Lets keep the fingers crossed.
3989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do ? on: March 15, 2020, 05:45:30 AM
So lets say "hypothetically" that I've came across a bug in a pretty big an well-established gambling websites sportsbook that allows me to place bets on matches which have already ended , thus knowing the outcome and being able to place some sure x30-x40 betslips.

What path would you follow , report the bug ,   or try to benefit from it ?

It is better if you do not gamble on such bets. There can be an attempt to scam your money, as when you place the bet, the bet has no result and the site refuses to pay the money. If the site is a trusted one, this will never happen. Only the scammers will opt for this way to collect the money.

Do you have any live example where you face such bets yourself ?
3990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 15, 2020, 05:20:29 AM
COVID-19 is still spreading all over the world, there are so many people affected by the virus, there are a lot of people who can not work anymore because of being afraid to go outside.

We should do something to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to each and everyone, if we want to play gamble, please do not go outside and find any nearest casino building just to play. I know that real life casino is better when playing because we can interact to anyone and we can also feel the ambiance of the real life casino but as of this moment, it is better to play online gambling than real life casino, it is better for you to stay at home to avoid contact to many people.

Let us help each and everyone, by simply obeying our authority by staying at home, do not go outside. Let us start stopping the virus, it will all start with ourself.

COVID-19 is no doubt the biggest issue to date but gambling is only one thing which people can play while staying at home. There are other many important things like food, jobs, prayers etc for which people have to go outside even when it is not recommended. Gambling is just a hobby which can be avoided but life is getting locked down due to this virus, which is a major concern. Even people will not play gambling online, when they have other issues which I mentioned above.
3991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: March 15, 2020, 04:56:41 AM
Do you think this match date will not be affected by the corona virus pandemic? Since it will be in July, about 4 months from now, do you think that virus has been contained at that time? Many sports have been cancelled lately and possibly in the next couple of months.

The match could be moved if the Pandemic lingers until July but I think the gate sales are ongoing and there are many tickets that have been sold, it will not going to be excited if they proceed without a live audience it may look like a sparring partner if they push through, so it's likely that they are going to re schedule.

This is a bit early to say if the match will be postponed or it may shift to any venue which is free of Covid-19 Virus. The match is planned in Mid July and there are still four months, so you can hope that things might be normal by that time. I think  Las Vegas is the best place for this match and I hope it would be held as scheduled.
3992  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL HODL HODL...AND BUY MORE on: March 15, 2020, 04:36:52 AM
Some people just cannot hold in the situation we are living right now. A lot of people I know have invested all their savings in BTC a few months ago and today they're out of cash, but they need it to prepare for a potential pandemic. I have personally taken a few days off the forum and the internet itself, because I want to focus on preparing for a possibly really bad situation. Investors have a lot of reasons to sell right now. I fortunately do not rely on Bitcoin 100%, which means I can still live without selling a single satoshi even if the price dumps to $100.

I am now trying to get back into the habits I used to have a few weeks ago. The virus outbreak made me move and add some other stuff to the top of my list of priorities.

Don't worry, times will come when Bitcoin will grow back up. It's very understandable that a ton of people sell for various reasons.

We have been hearing this word ever since 2017 bull run to HODL and HOLD. In last 3 years bitcoin never looked to be strong enough to break the resistances and go close to its all time high. We have been hearing that bitcoin will be 30,000$, 50,000$ or even 100,000$ but practically this does not seems possible. Bears are in full control and everything bitcoin make any good momentum, it is dumped hard. Even the golden cross will not had any effect on bitcoins prices. People are losing hope and trust on bitcoins.
3993  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall bellow 3000$ and Gold price will increase? on: March 15, 2020, 04:20:23 AM
I think so far the chinese way is the best, they have been isolating EVERY CITY since February and now after more than a month, viruses are all dead, either by themselves or by killing the human they infected, and contained in hospital. If western countries take this approach, it would also stop the virus in one month

So indirectly you are saying that we should lock down all the cities (as virus has been spread world wide) and kill all those who are infected. You should know that the percentage of people who can die because of this virus is only 2% and the rest can be recovered. Why not take precautionary measures and heal the persons rather then killing them. Europe will never take this approach of killing the mankind.
3994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall bellow 3000$ and Gold price will increase? on: March 14, 2020, 06:15:50 PM
Gold is also crashing hard. It is so amazing that when the crisis comes, almost everything is sold in exchange for fiat money (which we constantly describe as a scam) or government bond. The trust that rich people place on government debts are enormous

gold is only down 10% from its recent highs. BTC dropped more than 60%! brutal.

I thought that people will invest in crypto currencies when there is a financial crisis but opposite of this happened. As soon as stocks and markets fell, bitcoin dropped even more than that. This shows that people still have not full trust in crypto or it can be the whales doing the manipulation as always and rest damage is done by the panic sellers.
3995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: March 14, 2020, 05:55:49 PM
In the Bitcointalk poll Fury is way ahead of Wilder to win the third fight.

How many more fights do we have to witness between these two legends. There should be end to it and the winner should be
accepted as a winner with open heart. I thought the fight 2 would be the last one, but we have to witness another great fight.

3996  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 14, 2020, 05:11:38 PM
It's a shame that all bets would have to be canceled now as fixtures keep getting suspended. It's for the best anyway, and I hope BTC takes off and lands in the $6,501 - $7,000 zone before March ends Tongue

This is very frustrating for the sports betting gamblers and also for the players who actually play those sports.  Also bitcoin is continually dumping for the last few days which is very bad also. I thought bitcoin prices will rise and bitcoin will act as s safest heaven along with gold, but this was not too happen and bitcoin is more volatile than ever.
3997  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: March 14, 2020, 04:09:04 PM
Keep safe people. Someone told me on my thread yesterday last night could be the last European club competition game we'd be seeing for a while now, looks like he's right with UEFA calling off the games. Right call right now I'd say. As Klopp says football is a lot of things but it isn't everything. (no he didn't exactly say that but he meant that haha).

Will Invincibles play in the original order or in the order of games that actually happen first, I wonder?
Man this corona actually got everywhere around the world. I was one of the people who said we had virus outbreaks before and nothing to worry about since all of that really didn't mattered so why would this one. However looking at the situation there was absolutely nothing like this on the previous ones. No nba suspension, no nhl suspension, no f1 suspension and now maybe euroleague and champions league as well.

I do not know what to think about this anymore but I think this virus is actually getting to a level where it is actually dangerous to people. Maybe this one was unexpected and has an easier infection rate so that is the cause and I really hope cure will be figured out soon but it looks like all the sporting events will have to continue towards summer and not now anymore.

This virus cannot survive on high temperatures so as soon as the summer approaches, the virus will be dead. For the time being, the sports should be shifted to the countries where there is more hot weather.  The indoor and outdoor games both are effected by it, perhaps we have to quit sports betting for the time being and play casino games at fortunejack.  Wink

The image is not working for you because you are a Newbie member and you cannot show images. I am quoting it for you but this does not mean that your site is good or bad. There are lot of improvement which you need to do on your site to be able to compete it with others.

Anyone experience the Slow loading of bitcointalk forum ?  I am getting this slow loading issue since 4 - 5 hours although it is much better now but still at times it feels slow. Other websites are opening fine so it is not an internet issue at my end.
4000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: March 14, 2020, 01:44:47 PM
Once you are addicted to gambling no matter it is sports betting or casino's games, you will always try to find other gambling/events. In this case, due to corona virus that makes many events are stopped/postponed then addicted gambler will try to find non affected sports events or even sports betting addicts may move to casual gambling games in order to keep gamble their money.

Only the sports betting can be little bit effected by this coronavirus as some of the matches may be suspended but there are many other matches which are still going on and you can bet on them. Also the other forms of the gambling like casino etc are not effected by this virus and you can still gamble easily.
I think if anyone want to avoid gambling then it is his own will and these situations of coronavirus has nothing to do with it.
