3981  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop an opportunity to buy on: January 27, 2021, 07:02:50 PM
I don't think it's too hasty to buy during a downturn like this, which hasn't reached the limit of resistance with certainty. Indeed, for the short term there is still a few percent chance, but even then you have to take a position carefully. quite troublesome calculation.

What actually is if the price starts to fall it doesn't mean it will fall gradually the trend doesn't work like that also we have some examples which is happening from the past two weeks. BTC price goes 30k then again it pumps to 35k+ this happened several times.

My calculation is buy at low and sell it for a descent profit that's what I call short-term even 10$ a day is good profit for me, every penny counts Wink

Yeah, it's hard to be a day trader, so really even as low as $10 profit is good.

But for those long term holders, this is another perfect opportunity, at $30k or if it drops a bit, this is a win-win situation. Also, for those average joe who are complaining, this is a great time to enter. No need to buy a full btc, just a small portion will do and then continue to accumulate. We have just started this year, many unexpected things can happen, including another all time high at the end of the year.
3982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 27, 2021, 11:46:13 AM
I'll consider myself betting on draw, it's likely possible since this is a first fight, promoters are sometimes corrupt, they want to make a controversy so they can again make huge money in the next fight, it's not new actually, the boxing sport is corrupt so we have to be more careful in putting our bet.
Placing a small bet on a draw is fine, if you look at the history of these controversial draws there is a common theme, all the fights taking place in the US ends up in a draw if it is a big fight and i do not remember any high profile fight going for a draw in England but anything is possible.
I don't consider the location of the fight in betting on a draw, my point was solely focus on how this two will perform in the ring during the actual fight, and though Fury is the heavy favorite, it's still possible that no one will get KO and they will just exchanging punches until the 12 rounds.

Exactly, venue doesn't matter, still on the hands of the (corrupt) judges,  Smiley. If this fight really turns out to be very difficult to see who is the winner, then it's possible that this could end up in the draw. And for sure a draw will have a good odds so good call by @stadus.

And thanks for bringing this up, maybe I will look at the Draw as well.
3983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: January 27, 2021, 11:00:56 AM
After that Mayweather and Mcgregor fight, we see such things are becoming popular to the people and not only that, some basketball players have joined the trend as well but as we can see it's not really fit for them. Whatever sports you are good at, you should stick with that so that you will improve more or gather more experience to teach it to the youngster. Don't follow the steps with these guys, they are just simply making stupid things with their unwise decisions.

Well that is Floyd and Conor, that time there are hype surrounding this two fighters, Floyd being the boxing's best fighter, no defeat at all, and Conor so brandish and trash talker and really can sell the fights.

But this two? a faded UFC fighter who become the meme after his 5 seconds lost to Masvidal? And Jake Paul, who I'm not familiar with except when he entered the ring. So I'll pass on this one.
3984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 25, 2021, 08:56:19 AM
On Instagram Ryan Garcia is claiming that he will be Manny Pacquiao's next opponent. I don't know if this is true or not. Pacquiao makes so many agreements that you can never be 100% certain of who he will fight next until there is a contract signed and a venue is booked. Ryan is probably not the best possible opponent but it is the fight that will make the most money out of all his current options.

It is just Ryan Garcia's strategy to win the Manny Pacquiao sweepstake  Grin.

With McGreggor's misfortune last Saturday night, the door simply open for those who want to fight him and if Ryan could get the Pacman's nod then this would be the biggest fight of his career, money-wise so i think he would do everything to get Manny's attention.

IMO, Garcia vs Pacquiao is a slim probability, as i have said before, the healthier fight for Manny is against Floyd or Connor.

I doubt that Manny will even consider fighting Garcia, not that he is afraid of young king, but they are in very different weight class. Obviously, even at Manny's age, he is still one of the biggest sweepstakes in boxing today so I'm not surprised that even Garcia is calling Manny.

But just that, he should take care of his division first, fight Haney, Lopez and Davis.

And with this Conor loss, Poirier really derail everything that Conor and Manny is setting up in the future.

As Satoshi himself once said,

"Sigh... why delete a wallet instead of moving it aside and keeping the old copy just in case?  You should never delete a wallet."

3986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was 22.3K the correction? on: January 24, 2021, 01:28:39 PM
The price will continue to weaken I think because although it looks like there is a quick recovery but still, it will not last long and the decline is happening again. The price is going up and down fast but it doesn't provide a strong pattern for the price to go up any time soon, so with this downside I'm sure the price will still decline or it will just continue to struggle so it can get stuck between $30k.

Yes, the trading volume is already weak to push to $35k. But above $30k, I would say that we are still bullish, its weekend and traders take a respite. And even next week, I would say that we are going to see the same pattern, sideways, we still have bitcoin futures expiration contract that might influence the price negatively.

But come February, we might recover a bit and then push the price to $40k again. And yes, the sentiments is still very bullish, it's just that investors are affected by the negative news and Fud this week.
3987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Quantity of Altcoins to buy? on: January 24, 2021, 12:08:49 PM
Hi  I am spending a ton of time reading, watching and asking questions to those who know.

But one question I have in mind is: Let's say you identify an altcoin you want to buy, let's say Tron..... Currently 2p a coin.

What would people normally spend on this coin? Obviously as many as you can in case it shoots up to £10 a coin... But just keen to understand how people think / buy.

Would you spend £20 or £100. Or does it depend on your overall goal short term or long term?

Any input welcome.   Cool

Personally, I have this strategy to invested initially at $100k, this is just me though.

Why $100? because that's the money that I can afford to lose in crypto. I'm sure you have heard this old adage before. And then I'll slowly re-invest if I have extra money and then hold for long term. This is just a basic strategy that you might use or you can make your own version out of it.

I usually don't trade though so I prefer long term hold and then portion by portion investment.

I would also suggest that you experiment yourself though, what fits your style of trading/investment.
3988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 24, 2021, 11:49:39 AM
We don't know if Manny Pacquiao and his team are still interested on Conor as he lost to Justin Poirier via knock-out.

What do you guys think? Will it still create the needed hype even though Conor seems to be really out of shape, his power no longer there. And with this lost are fans still going to buy tickets or PPV because we all know that Conor will not win against a version of Manny?
3989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best Youtube Channel for Bitcoin price and prediction on: January 24, 2021, 11:29:18 AM
I am looking for the best Youtube Channel for Bitcoin price and prediction. Although they are many available but most of the don't tell you the realistic things. If anyone have a link to good youtube channel for bitcoin/altcoin, please share it as it will be good for everyone.

I'm sorry but you will not find any YouTube channel that are going to give you an honest and realistic analysis of the market No one is expert here, but those content creators are worst, they will just show you some charts, (anyone can draw a line and connect the dots), and then say this and that blah blah blah.

Altcoins? they are going to shill or they are paid shill for all we know. Sometimes I watch random analysis and predicts and it gives me a good chuckle,  Smiley. I would advise to stay away from crypto YouTube channel.
3990  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 23, 2021, 02:23:54 PM
I have a good run at Dead Wood (anyone playing that?) 217x win, but not enough to join the contest as @BitcoinHunt3r and @rhomelmabini are also making fantastic multiplier win in the last 2 days.  Smiley

Still based on luck mate, Dead Wood is a good and fun game, I've played that game as well in the past and give me good returns.

Any recommended slots from you guys? I try Tombstone but around 300 spins and no luck. Ankh of Anubis was pretty good to me, but recently it was not paying the way it used to be.

I won't recommend anything because it is still base on our individual preference, And I agree that 300 spins is a small sample size.
3991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 23, 2021, 01:25:14 PM
Fury is not afraid to lose, he take on a good fighter specifically Wilder and he proved to be the best fighter between the two, now he will face a champion also, and they will unify in this fight. People would believe that Fury will win and I also like to bet on that, not because AJ I follow what the majority are thinking but because I trust how Fury fights in the ring, he is very smart than we know.
That's why people admire him, AJ's last 2 fights compared to Fury's last 2 fights, you can tell why people is loving him to win this fight. If only AJ did not lose against Ortiz once, maybe people would believe that this is an even fight as both fighters will be undefeated.

However, they are the best fighters in their division now, one has to reign and fans believe it's gonna be the gypsy king.

Yes, that lose really tainted AJ's record, although he won that rematch and take all his belt back, Fury was very impressive and we might say that he really destroys Wilder in their rematch. So obviously, he will be the favourite, AJ's chin is going to be tested again and we all know that Fury being the big guy will have the advantage on the power category.

It will be a difficult fight for AJ because the Gypsy King is riding on the big momentum win against Wilder. But it will be a close fight, but Fury I will say will be 80/20 to win in my book.

3992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alert: Get ready to deal with FUDS about Bitcoin on: January 23, 2021, 12:52:50 PM
Everyone, please don't panic sell by losing your capital as this forum will be flooded with FUDS since the value of Bitcoin has dropped to $30k which will lead so many people to post negative article against bitcoin which we have come across in the past. Just ensure don't cashout in hurry and rather do a proper analysis to avoid any possible loss as it's bit difficult to control emotions when we see numerous negative posts predicting a downfall.
We cannot stop individual from selling their coins if they want to,and besides selling is part of the market I don't believe people will dump their Bitcoin at a loss just because of FUDS it's already ten years we all know that FUDS don't work anymore, and people who created FUDS cannot sustain it, I just let them FUDS because it will not harm the market anymore, investors have matured to still believe, if there are still people believing, it's there loss.

I wouldn't say that FUD doesn't work anymore, on the contrary this is a tactic very well known in other markets outside of crypto, even in politics. This kind of disinformation are going to exists whether we like it or not and there are investors that are going to be influence by it.

Yes, those who are swayed to sell their bitcoin because of this questionable information will have to learn it the hard way, it's a blunder that will teach them. And on the bright note, bitcoin price seems to be on the move and have overcome the FUD already.
3993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALTSEASON 2021 on: January 23, 2021, 12:33:22 PM
It's because the narrative has change as well this 2020-2021, investors has matured as well. That's why most of the altcoins that are going to surpassed their all time high is probably on the top 10-50, the rest are going to be pure pump and dump.

without us knowing it, the altcoin season started before the new year yesterday. look at the chart of each altcoin, and you will see the trend has turned into a bull. and currently many altcoins are trying to destroy ATH. Ethereum, Litecoin, Polkadot, BNB, and many other altcoins that have gone up. but the altcoin season this time is very different from 2017. only the best altcoins have a place to increase this time. so be more selective in choosing the coins you will buy.

However, we are still far from the altcoin bull run. Altcoin needs to at least collar the market in terms of dominance. Bitcoin is still the top choice for investors. Ethereum also has set a new new all time, didn't have enough push to reach $1500-$2k.
3994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 22, 2021, 02:45:35 PM
I'm glad after many years they are going to meet, there is a saying to be the best you have to fight the best and whoever wins in this match will become the greatest boxer in this generation, I don't think Fury has an edge over Joshua, it could be even because the fight could go either way because both fighters are capable of dominating a fight.

Fury is better for me because he has fought popular boxers and beat them. Fury had fought Wilder twice, and Wilder was the best heavyweight prior that fight but Fury proven that he is the best, so it's normal that people would think Fury is the better fighter as he is undefeated and have beat champions in his career.

AJ is 24-1, with 22 KO wins, but he lost once, that's the big difference, if he can beat Fury, then people will declare him as the best, but let's see as surely this is going to be a great fight where both fighters have their own fan base.

Not only that, Fury come back from his personal demons, fought Wilder in the first (which most of boxing fans see him winning), then won the second fight impressively. While Joshua was defending his belt and unexpectedly lost to Ruiz Jr bad, although he redeem himself.

So mentally and physically I would say that Fury has the edge, after all that he gone through and the caliber of opponents he'd face.
3995  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUDS are big Confirmations that were in a Bull Market!!!!!! on: January 22, 2021, 02:23:03 PM
I remember the 2017 multiple FUDS from China banning Bitcoin and the Jamie Dimon btc scam FUDS and FUDS from everywhere to dip the price so they can buy CHEAPER lmao.

Time is different though, 2017 was just the start so any negative news will really bring the market into it's knees. But today, we haven't seen a huge dip in the market. Maybe because investors have matured, or they simply are not affected and going to HODL.

You will never get FUDS in a bear market.

Isn't this just blatantly obvious. Wink

Old school Market Manipulation.

True, but we have seen a lot of FUD's regardless what sentiments we are in. And bitcoin is so resilient that it has its way to bounce back from this negative news. So I'm seeing a immediate jump after this FUD is over in the next coming weeks.
3996  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Yearn Finance fake site on: January 22, 2021, 01:37:50 PM
Another of this fake website created by criminals. This is being spread in Youtube video, so if you find one, report it right away. And yes, the strategy here is to create as many fake sites using yearn.finance so this won't simply stop as they are targeting crypto website that is in the hot topic right now and making a good pump.

I also check the Terms of Use and it seems that it was plagiarised as well:

It is not surprising at all if it is checked as plagiarism because the site is using a gambling script from a developer named "FinancialTechnology"
As you all can check at codecanyon
This script's number of sales is 420 so I'm very sure that these 420 buyers/sites has exactly the same Terms of Use, the same design (at least similar as it can be modified) and other similarities.
All in all, it will be just another failed gambling site, 100% sure about it.

Yes, I know that they have used a gambling script, but at least they should have change it a bit to suit their gambling site, otherwise it will really look like a copy cat and plagiarised Terms of Use and it won't really good for gamblers like us who usually scrutinised everything like what we are doing here right now.

And now that he have uncovered evidences, yeah it could really fail 100% as no gamblers are going to used their platforms.
3998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 21, 2021, 09:39:44 PM
Regarding the Nets big 3, they really played so well offensively like they usually do, but they lack depth, bench involvement to the game, and most specially the defense. They only got 10 bench points throughout this game.
I think that bench players couldn't take an active involvement in the game because Durant and Irving made half of the total amount of shots. Sure, Kyrie had a good performance with 53 percent, but he doesn't like to share the ball with teammates at all.

Ok so there is the problem now, Harden was just in the background and let Durant and Irving do the scoring, but if Kyrie doesn't want to share then the team will have a big problem. And they fell short despite high scoring from the three of them. Don't want to sound negative, but Nets will have a lot of talking to do with this lost against the Cavs. They also have to play defense as well and not allowing their opponents to have easy look at give them all the time to shoot the 3.

I did not watch the game but I dont get how Harden was in a background if he had 12 assist. To me that looks like he was part of most of plays.  On other hand Irving had only 3 assist. This part is very confusing. But someone that watched the game should explain how that happened. People did not score after his assists or he was not assisting ball at all.

It took him the regular game + 2 over time to register that 12 assists, so that's unusual to him, I'm not sure but in the last 6 minutes of the regulation he was just like 10 points and less than 10 assists as well. So the scoring was done by Durant and Irving, and Kyrie was the one bringing the ball. But he chooses to be a scoring point guard in this game that's why he had only 3 assists.

However, I don't see any problem yet, Harden is willing to be in the background and let Durant and Kyrie do their thing.
3999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DeFi help ethereum reach it's old 4 figure value? on: January 21, 2021, 01:33:13 PM
For the record, ETH has already surpasses it's previous all time high. So obviously we are nw in the old 4 figure although some incoming dumps because people are taking their profits after a long time. And I would say that Defi might have help it to reach 4 figure again.

But the big question is the high transaction fee, currently, ETH gas fee is even higher than bitcoin. The next iteration of ETH should include solutions to the scale it otherwise investors might look for other coins to invest. For the majority of average traders and investors, high fee doesn't look too attractive to us. Just imagine transferring around $100-$200 worth of ETH and the fees is more than that.
4000  Economy / Speculation / Re: #Bitcoin is seeing the largest depletion of liquidity since years on: January 21, 2021, 01:03:57 PM
Was expecting this for a while, following up from the outflows of coin from exchanges, which means people aren't willing to sell for at least the medium term.

Then you've got retail who know and expect more than the current ATH.

That's clearly demand outstripping supply.

Exactly, investors are now moving to their personal wallet, which means they are going to hold for as long as they can as opposed to traders or speculators who's willing to left their coins in an exchanges for obvious reasons.

So this is a good sign for even average joe to look at and to invest with at little as they can in their personal wallet and not on exchange and wait till the market goes on a super fast rally that we have seen in the last three months.
