41  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Defends $3.5K After Cboe Pulls ETF Proposal on: January 25, 2019, 04:53:12 AM
Quote
The latest ETF withdrawal, however, has barely moved the needle for BTC’s price. The cryptocurrency continues to trade in a sideways manner above the crucial support at $3,500.

The calm response to the bearish news could be considered a sign of seller exhaustion – more so, as the primary trend is still bearish. As a result, the cryptocurrency could soon end the 14-day-long consolidation with a bullish breakout.

I'm leaning in this direction myself. When the market is bearish and supply is strong, sellers tend to react strongly to bad news. Seeing no reaction at all to this news indicates seller exhaustion.

That doesn't mean the bear market is over, but it does mean a correction back up to $5K is still possible (and maybe even likely).
technically, bitcoin broke the price of $ 5000, and currently still in a bearish position, it is possible for a correction to occur, if it cannot break the price of $ 5000, then I think the price will come back down again
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: January 24, 2019, 04:22:38 AM
complained because prices were falling continuously and the market conditions that I supported. current conditions that make it difficult for people to make money and are very confusing. all miss high crypto prices and good markets, hopefully it will happen soon.
indeed, what is most felt is that their income has fallen, during 2018, and until now there has been no sign that prices will rise to the top, so that it is natural for them to complain, especially for those investing in early 2018
43  Economy / Economics / Re: What can be done to make bitcoin stable? on: January 24, 2019, 04:17:26 AM
I am not so sure why some see this as a problem, if it was not for the volatility of the market it will be impossible to make any kind of profits in it or have the chance of making a lot of money, be grateful of the volatility and appreciate it even when you lose money, besides stability will come on its own once more adoption happens and people use bitcoin as a currency.
I think stabilizing is very difficult, but lowering volatile might be possible, but it happens if all countries have ratified it as a currency, so that bitcoin is difficult to play with by whales, because the holders have spread
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: January 23, 2019, 02:31:44 AM
And another spectacular top call by Armstrong and his computer Socrates. Magnificent, really.

I bought calls last Wednesday (24.1k so I knew gap up to try 25k), sold Friday (Marty said the high would be Friday close or Tues open), bought puts @ close Friday. I bagged 100%+ on both trades.

Bike, this is one of those "goosebumps" calls. They say you can't time the market but Socrates and I (and I'm guessing you too) just did it twice!

Thekees - I can't remember the last time he gave actual trading advice, either, except maybe the raw SELL GS @ $159 post he made.

I wonder if Marty is becoming more clear, or if after all these years, I'm finally understanding him and piecing together what he says. Whatever the case, you guys in this board are tremendous help.

Yes, I was extremely leveraged and made off like a bandit today. But again, it isn't the smartest thing to do- it isn't 100% as Armstrong says, and the usual trading trueisms apply. But there are times to be a pig and this was one of them.

For right now, I think the easiest way to go is with longer term puts and ride out the downside, as downtrends in the equity market are often volatile with big rallies. It is still near a top so wouldn't be too bad to get in now, I think, if this strategy is pursued. I'd like to go long in February based on what Armstrong says- until then, I would only scalp longs if at all. I see 2595 as having some decent support for an intraday trade on the long side
more investment now will bring greater opportunities to gain profits later. with relatively low prices, open our opportunities. but not now the market is bearish, so set a good strategy
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: January 23, 2019, 02:26:23 AM
With the current economy, the fears about the Brexit, Italy, the Sino-American problems and the general pessimism among investors; It looks like Gold is coming back the past months. At the same time, countries like the EU, Japan & China are reducing their investments in the economy,
(it should also reduce demand for the USD?)

Even the Central banks are buying more Gold (+13% from the previous year). Economists predict a dark year for 2019 and it seems a lot of large funds are now buying Gold massively. Especially from Asia and Soviets.

people will still choose bitcoin even at the times likes this, gold seems to be harder to earn or mine unlike bitcoin, you can earn it right here or anywhere that adopts cryptocurrency. It will be just a matter of time before bitcoin takes over everything.
I don't think it is like that, gold has more users than in the past, and many believe it. gold is a consistent type of investment, so it's not surprising that many like it. but that does not mean investors return to gold
46  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you describe the situations of the crypto market today? on: January 22, 2019, 06:45:09 AM
As we experienced for the past few months, crypto market price is still declined and maintain its position.

For me, i really believed that somehow their are big people or personalities behind it,who controlling the crypto market, it's a some sort of strategy for them to be able to gain huge profit.
If you talk about manipulation I'm sure there are some groups doing that, because it's decentralized on crypto. This is why you must have skills in the field of management and some information and economic matters. The market is currently testing holders who really have potential because indeed like experts say crypto is for smart-people.
right, nowadays a kind of evolution, where those who are still loyal to crypto, will get rewards. even though we know to hold it is not something easy to do. and one more thing, nobody knows when the market will improve
47  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: January 22, 2019, 06:41:55 AM
now in 2019, is it still the blockchain that is in focus? 2018 a lot of blockchain projects that fail, some of which fail they just try to find a momentary profit, cheat, lie to investors, etc. blockchain is not just crypto, blockchain is not only a token, hopefully 2019 there are positive changes to the blockchain and cryptocurrency.
the blockchain provides a change to the system that has existed. indeed, many recognize their intelligence, but to use it requires a lot of consideration. I think we are currently focusing on holding bitcoin so that it is not missed by the moment
48  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do in 2030? on: January 21, 2019, 07:32:31 AM
you're right the world economy in the future might get worse and also maybe inflation will become more and more because that's why I prefer to save 60% of my income in the form of assets, in my countries people made mistakes, they cant distinguish assets and liabilities and they still experiencing poverty even though their salaries are quite large because they cannot manage their money properly. I don't want to be like them, from now until 2030 I will continue to study financial matters.
right, we have to save productively. namely investment. many people don't think about this problem, because they consider it well established in their lives. and I think in 2030 I hope I can retire and enjoy what I have been fighting for
49  Economy / Economics / Re: what should consider before investing in a coin? on: January 21, 2019, 07:28:26 AM
I think its target market is the first thing you need to give a look What are its competitors and whats it bringing new to the whole ground Save your self some time to look up the team and maybe previous work and also how well is their marketing Great idea should have good marketing and a very good and concise roadmap
right, the potential for a coin in the future is an important consideration before choosing a coin to invest. but it is indeed better for us to invest in a few coins and don't invest for just one coin.
50  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019? on: January 20, 2019, 01:00:27 PM
Bitcoin investment is one of the popular investment nowadays due to the high returns that investors getting but not all of time investors are earning money from bitcoins. Bitcoin have high risks so there are people who losing their investment due to lack of information and experiences.
investing now is not right for me and I feel a bad feeling if we invest now better mid-year and my advice is better now HODL is better not to lose if we HODL now
In contrast to me, prices are currently relatively low. and we will get more coins with the same amount of funds. besides that I think mid-year prices have started to climb, and allow us to get fewer coins
51  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Worth To Be Currency? on: January 20, 2019, 12:56:39 PM
Of course Bitcoin worth to be a currency, because it is already simply used by so many people around the world to buy and sell items online and offline, and it is mainly created to be a currency, with so many attractive features making it better than fiat currencies.
I think bitcoin should not be a real currency in the world but at least it can help us in my daily life that is enough for me and I think bitcoin is becoming a financial addition besides me working it is more than enough
I agree with your pattern of thinking, and it would be nice to make this bitcoin not always the forefront of world currencies but we deserve to maintain bitcoin into a human tool in today's technology that I think is enough for me
I think so. I think bitcoin can coexist with fiat currency is good, so it's bitcoin as an alternative payment besides fiat. and the main thing is that such a position is recognized by many governments
52  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: January 19, 2019, 01:36:26 PM
don't never dream of replacing fiat with crypto as a payment currency.
very unlikely, even if the fiat currency will be replaced, it looks like gold is more suitable as a payment currency, a currency that will never experience inflation.
indeed fiat cannot be replaced by bitcoin at this time, but gold is also difficult to replace fiat. even if that happens, of course it's been a long time ago, because we know gold is a valuable asset that has been recognized starting from the kingdom era
Gold was used before as a way for payment or to exchange goods with it. Nowadays no i doubt it will happens to replace fiat. Societies are trying to go cashless in almost every field. We may not see bitcoin as a national currency but we will see blockchain based national cryptocurrency in the coming years.
That will definitely happen, we are going to that direction already and bitcoin and crypto is easy to carry and secure compared to gold.
The use case of crypto is also better compared to gold so I believe people will see which are more valuable between the two but this will take time.

I know that people will not use gold as the gold was already been replaced by the fiat currencies. Its the matter of whether people will quit fiat and use digital currency instead ?

Well, not until bitcoin price is stabilized. I mean you will not want a person buying a car for some bitcoins and in the evening the price of the amount is reduced by 5 percent or so. This is the disadvantage of volatile currency. I hope with regulations this problem will be solved and then bitcoin will be used as a major currency.
besides that with all countries using bitcoin, volatile will be small, because many bitcoin and whales holders will have difficulty controlling it, unlike today. in my opinion at this time it is still difficult to use BTC as money as you demonstrated
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Worth To Be Currency? on: January 19, 2019, 01:31:21 PM
Actually money is a representation of gold. Paper money it self don't have intrinsic value which can equal with gold but bitcoin has the same characteristics as gold although bitcoin also don't have intrinsic value. But for me since bitcoin maximum amount is limited and can't be counterfeited then bitcoin is worth to be currency.
indeed to make fiat money must have gold reserves, but in my opinion between bitcoin and gold is different. with a limited number and a decentralized system, the government cannot control it, so there are still many governments that don't like it

55  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: January 18, 2019, 03:20:13 PM
I'm not really hopeful about bitcoin specifically but its more on its technology using which is the blockchain. Blockchain has its purpose and has a lot of advantages in terms of security and transparency of various things or objects such as food, item, documents, and etc. Its is definite that in the near future, blockchain would have its rightful place as one of the innovative piece of the future.
with the acceptance of blockchain, of course it will have a positive impact on bitcoin where prices will definitely go up and at that time our assets will follow up too. I think starting from ourselves will provide real benefits
56  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: January 18, 2019, 03:15:58 PM
for me now it's better to buy it and will hold it for some time at a higher price, so I also won't lose profits with a higher selling price.
I have been thinking about it for a long time and I think that is a good way to use bitcoin in the present not just selling and buying but investing is also important to me
as I do now, where buying bitcoin according to our capabilities will be better. at prices that are at the bottom make the risk become small and we have a great opportunity to get maximum profits
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: December 01, 2018, 06:16:58 AM
We have used fiat for more than decade and it is really important for us and world can not move smooth with out fiat and fiat currencies are using for every thing for transactions and for trade of international imports exports so with out fiat the world will be stopped it will not move ahead and crypto is also good for the fast payment over the internet across the globe.
of course, until now fiat is irreplaceable, if crypto facilitates payment, it is only an alternative and not all places accept it. so dependence on fiat currency is still very dominant
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Recent crash on: December 01, 2018, 06:13:02 AM
From what I have been reading from certain threads, the crash may have been brought about by some investors moving in from Bitcoin to another currency. Admit it, since the start of this year 2018, bitcoin have been bursting several times and literally not achieving nor surpassing the high marks that it left last year. The crash may have been brought about by whales picking up bitcoins and hoarding and holding it on purpose-- selling in chunks so that the market will look red causing more panic selling (this is just my theory) This had left investors looking for another coin that will seem to be more stable than bitcoin while they are waiting for the storm to pass they have migrated to USDT instead. Smiley
I think looking for other coins that are more stable, less likely, because bitcoin affects development of other coins, I agree more if the whales hold their money and wait for the lowest price, or divert investment elsewhere
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you long on, and why? on: November 30, 2018, 03:00:55 PM
Bitcoin is the best one to hold for long run. To save for long run, you have to buy at low price. With the godluck ,the price of bitcoin is very low. This will be the best time to increase in bitcoin and hold it for longer periods. Bitcoin is know as the legend in cryptocurrency, because the investment in bitcoin surely gives profit at certain stage.
I agree. It is a good start to buy more bitcoin when you believe in the potential of it to grow in the market and get he profit. That is what I hold and I am willing to wait longer to see how worth it is. Do not panic when the price falls because many are longing for this time and buy cheaper. It is late to cut losses but not for those who take risks and gonna hold it to gain from it.
of course now with the same funds you will get more coins. but indeed after you enter market, of course you have to keep psychological and stay focused on the initial goal, which is longterm
60  Economy / Economics / Re: The market is looking healthy and greener all over again on: November 30, 2018, 02:57:09 PM
I'm not counting any chickens, all year we've seen the market slump for 3-7 days at a time then have a short 1-2 day recovery before stability and then the next slump. This time could be different, but then again it might not be.

Probably it is. It is very unpredictable. Things happened the way we do not really expect. The pump and dump happens without us knowing. But then we all need to hold and wait for the right moment to gain profit. It is very important to know or analyze the market always.
indeed yesterday the price was green, but today it turned red, I was still afraid if this was just a correction, so it would continue the bad trend again. I hope I'm wrong, because the price is already quite low
