I've been trying to write some more letters to orphans, but the things that frustrated me a bit in the past could still be improved. I think the history of an orphan should be more clear. I take an orphan for example: Aylin Elizabeth Ramos Medina (06991060) She has been written a letter by us and she send back a letter in reply. Someone has written her a new letter, and although that letter is genuine it's not a response to the letter she has send. This is disappointing to me, because she won't receive a reply to her questions this way. The reason that this is happening - in my opinion - is because not all information is in clear view. To me, the process is as follows now: I went to the 'Sponsored Orphan List' to see which orphans still need writing. Aylin was one of them. So next I went to the 'Inbound Letters' list, to see her new letter (something that Dale - the one who wrote the latest letter - probably hasn't done. He probably saw that a letter needed to be written and send a letter based on her bio and not her letter). After that, I started reading her letter and started formulating answers to her questions. But instead of that, I should have gone to the 'Outgoing letters' tab, because only after I wrote my letter, I found out that there was there was already a letter that was written by Dave (although I don't think it a good letter, because he doesn't reply to the questions that Aylin asked), but it wasn't approved yet. So. I suggest a couple of 'improvements': -Maybe in the 'Sponsored Orphan List', there should also be a column that shows if an unapproved letter is already written, -Maybe there should also be a column that links to the latest inbound letter? I'm not sure how to improve the flow of information here, but to me the whole proces is a bit frustrating at the moment, because I feel that I have to take too many steps. Or maybe we need a page that shows the following things (just an idea): Name - Biography - Latest Letter - Needs written (TRUE/FALSE) - Unapproved letter in pool (TRUE/FALSE) Just trying to find a way that works with less steps than is required now I would like to second what had been suggested. Allow for a letter writer to "Claim" an orphan. Then the primary writer will be that person, and their letters will get higher priority to be approved (since in theory, they've already shown themselves to be good stewards and good letter writers). Each user can claim only one orphan (although the can still write to others, and others can submit letters to their claimed orphan). They should get a notification when their orphan has written back and then have a time period (4 weeks?) where they have to write back or they lose their claim. That then gets to my other thought, we should have a committee of three to review the orphan letters. This would take some burden off of Rob. Or Rob could be one of the three if he receives joy and satisfaction from that. I think that would be a great job for the charity commission. So far zero votes though.

I think it is more beneficial if 1 kid is only writing letters to 1 or 2 people. I can immediately do a quick list on the website and we can improve it later.

Hi everyone, If you would like a notification when there is a mandatory update you can sign up for a newsletter on this website. This site will also be a future portal for Biblepay including project management for all the various projects if the proposal is approved. http://bbppodc.orgTo view the current projects, log in with this account: E-mail: biblepay@bbppodc.orgPassword: biblepay Great Mike! Lots of potential here Are you also planning on writing a newsletter about things outside of updates or having someone else write it? So it would be nice to get some help. I think I will focus this website on Mining and PoDC. I could do a newsletter every 2 weeks but it depends on if people really need it since it will take some time to generate them. The reason that I ask is because I also wanted to start a newsletter on biblepay.org, so I was thinking about merging the newsletter-features in some way. Or maybe you can have the 'technical newsletter' (information about (mandatory) updates and guides etc), and on biblepay.org we can have a newsletter concentrated on more general stuff (new charities and improvements etc). Or maybe it's better to put both in one newsletter option, and you can check boxes which information you would like to receive (mandatory update alarms, project updates etc). About the forum: I was thinking that it's maybe overkill to have another forum? Or is it more for the Mining and PoDC support? Because it would be awesome to have a central place that is for support. I think all the newsletters should come out from biblepay.org. I can help distribute the technical newsletters if everyone agrees. BBP PoDC is somewhat redundant to the main website but I want to give people another choice. I will focus it more on mining initially for sure.

I havent heard of this proposal nor do I see it in the pool. The proposal has not been submitted yet, probably next month since I already made one for this month and I still don't have enough BBP in the pool.

Opps, I forgot to mention that a forum was also set up at forum.bbppodc.org. Anyone is welcome to use it, only a few rules: No cussing and respect others. For instance, don't say " your project is crap". Think of another way to say it thats respectful and I won't delete any posts.
What I can also do here is that you can subscribe to the announcements channel and get all your updates through there also.

Any more thoughts on adjusting the weighting for WCG credits? I know it might not be a top priority, but since everyone agrees that the difficulty rating is higher, I'm expecting that when we DO make the adjustment, that again many more BBP will be required for full staking, and just want to be prepared.
In my case I have a couple 6 core servers, one running WCG @ 100% utilization one running RAH @ 100% utilization. Although we probably will need at least a 14 day baseline, let me check on them and see how they compare ... So far the RAH server has 3000 RAC and the WCG server has 1000 WCG RAC, meaning WCG seems to be 3.0 * harder than RAH, but Id like to leave it run longer until both graphs taper off horizontally right now they are both climbing still. Makes sense - thanks Rob, I appreciate it. FWIW, I've seen something comparable to 3:1 myself when switching over. Maybe more like 3.25:1 - but I'm only a single data point with not-very-many machines. Did you set up your device profile? My scores are about even for both it seems. The score doesn't match the wgc website score however. https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewProfiles.do

Rob,
I never meant to allude that I want you or anyone off the project. When you replied with the comment: What does my mining have to do with letter writing, to me, it inferred that you don't support having to go and write letters to orphans if you are doing all this cancer mining. (In contrast to, Oh I didnt mean to recommend people to go to purepool to get around letter writing). And I didnt see you sticking up for the orphan communications that is what the main pool has, so obviously it sounded like we should recommend capitualating the main pool and therefore have an empty transmission to compassion every month.
Anyways, I was just recommending it because I see less people having issues with it.
"I would like to write more but you'll probably just delete my posts." Im sorry that you are starting to have such a bad attitude and animosity for the project, and are taking things the wrong way. I've done nothing but service this project with all my effort since the beginning, so I dont know what else I can do to get along with you. It does require a good attitude to work together with people and a certain amount of trust to serve as Christian brothers.
Well, this is mainly because of you and I'm also sorry it has become this way. I think everyone here wants the project to succeed but the way your treating people is not how Jesus taught us to be. Some have spoken up and some have kept silent but everyone who has been following this forum knows how it is.
Regarding the comment for the pool "having issues" - issues which you don't know what they are, I guess what we need to do is ask a general consensus of people if they have any problems with the first pool, pool.biblepay.org and I'll work with each of you individually with *ANY SINGLE FLAW* that exists in the pool. Because I dont really accept your synopsis about the pool is malfunctioning because you are reading into "old gossip" that random people floated. And here is a couple pieces of private info that probably started that: One, I had 10 people who continuously create new accounts and upvote their own letters within their own household, and since I dont tolerate corruption, I deleted them. Two, I have a few miners who are copying the wallet.dat out to 50 machines and trying to mine with one CPID across all the machines, and the pool auto-bans these users now - but I do allow mining of up to 10 machines in the pool. Thats it, thats the entirety of the one-off rules- no corruption - no mass mining. (Why no mass mining? Its because we require a distinct CPID per block with magnitude now, so it would be unfair to award one person who exploits their own cpid through the pool at the expense of the other cpids - if you want to do that, please solo mine that way).
Look, I'm sorry if I offended you by recommending the other pool but if someone asks me, that's what I will recommend.
It seems you really don't like me and I ask for your forgiveness. I'll try not to bother you from now on.

pls.... go away from that pool= that pool was evil and you are still there? Which of the two should I go away Slovakia? Which one is better? There are currently 2 pools available. https://biblepay-central.org/en/I know, but I would like to know what Slovakia means by "pls.... go away from that pool= that pool was evil and you are still there?"Thanks Oh, I think he is just not getting along too well with the pool owner and he might also have had some issues using it but for the most part it seems to be working. I would personally use purepool. Who is the person that is not getting along with the owner and which pool "for the most part" is working? I'm glad you would personally use purepool, I support Light myself, however it doesn't reflect entirely well to not want to write letters to children if you pull 15% of the revenue. I'm just commenting on the fact that people have been having issues with the main pool, but it looks like you fixed them now. There could be other issues, maybe not, that has not presented itself so I used "for the most part". What does writing letters have anything to do with my mining rewards? Yeah, Ive only been supporting the pool for free since July 2017, responded to every single email sent to me with pool issues or withdrawal issues, help Light set up his new pool with the same business logic, and transitioned it over to PODC, and now for the first time I am seeing this leaderboard issue (but havent received one email about it yet), and its already fixed- but the pool is being marked as "having issues" - I would recommend the other pool. Right. On the letter writing, your taking 15% of the coin supply but not writing to any orphans, unlike all the people who mined this coin from July to December when we only had one pool, who had to write to one orphan per month to continue mining for free, basically you are taking the easy way out and now recommending everyone else do the same thing. It makes me think that we need to put the letter writing facility in as one of the three requirements, LetterWeight, UTXO weight and Task Weight. I was not talking just about the leaderboard issue though, I've had read about many issues with the pool since I've first got in contact with this project. I still stand by what I said. I'm not discounting what you have done, just that the other pool seems to be more stable, which is why I recommend it. Didn't even know there was a requirement to write letters if I was using the pool. I still recommend purepool and if you want to write letters then go ahead and do it. You keep making it sound like I'm terrible because I'm doing cancer research, I don't feel bad about it at all. I would like to write more but you'll probably just delete my posts. Let me know Rob, if you want me off the project and I'll disappear from all communications.

I was getting about 4500BBP a day on PdDC payments with my 21000 RAC. Today I got 9200BBP (I guess because I have 100% to stake and others not).
But in tomorrow's "exex testvote" I see tomorrow I'm getting 3794BBP. I don't see any good reason, stalking is the same, at 100%, getboincinfo seems ok. However stakebalance shows 97350 when it should be 445000 as it was few hours ago...
I would recommend using utxooverride for now just to make sure you are staking the correct amounts and switch to auto when you feel comfortable.

It will be interesting to see how many Sanctuaries survive the next two days, right now we have 186 total/138 enabled.
Is there a hidden agenda here? ... Anyone care to donate some BBP so I dont get totally messed over by the 20/rac update? edit: Based on the uxto, the big fish with large quantites are going to get massive payouts as the smaller guys get pennies.. I'll wait and see what the new payout structure looks like.... edit2: For the record I should have payed more attention to this earlier in the discussion... edit3: can somoone send me c-cex invite code? Not sure, is CCEX still accepting registrations? Southxchange is the other working option, I believe. Did you manage to vote on the issue? I think it's worth noting that Rob's initial plan was to go with per MAG, but some asked for per RAC. So Rob gave us that option and people voted that way. Can't get more democratic than that! By the way Rob, perhaps for future votes we could consider only accounts older than 1 month old can vote to avoid spam/illegitimate accounts. I think the best way with what we have now is to do a couple of proposals and see which one wins. The problem with that is you being a holder of 20% of the entire coins magnitude wants a re-vote, because it appears you are not happy with the current outcome. I watched the vote sway to 20 bbp per rac early on, and although it requires more adjustments, I don't see any evidence of corruption. It's not fair to constantly ask for re-votes until you get a poll that gives you what you want. One nice thing about this outcome is now people have to pay to play if they want to pull an extraordinarily large piece of Biblepays rewards. There you go again, talking me down. I never asked for a re-vote. The poll outcome will be the same even if you did it. Now if this does not go well 6 months from now, then a re-vote may be necessary.

edit: Based on the uxto, the big fish with large quantites are going to get massive payouts as the smaller guys get pennies.. I'll wait and see what the new payout structure looks like.... No, its the opposite of that. The big fish who cant afford the UTXO are going to share their RAC rewards with the small fish. Some of the big fish have large amount of BBP already. Onni-chan has 14M BBP and I have 8M BBP for staking which will account for 20% of the rewards. I don't know about the other big fishes but if they don't have enough BBP then everyone will get a bigger share if the little fishes also don't have enough BBP, which seems to be the case.

Still not quite sure what you're talking about, but since I don't even have an account on BBP forum I'm pretty sure Rob doesn't know my password there. Oh my, bye bye my sweet PODC payouts^^. First question: how will it work regarding the wallet? Which wallet version (windows) will I need on my controller machine and which config-entry does it require to just stake "as-much-as-there-is"? Second question: I assume that whenever a user cannot provide 100% utxoweight his "remaining" payout will be divided among all users? How will this work for the amount in total? Does that mean that people with 100% weight will actually receive even more than they "earned" because of the bonuses? That would be quite unfair! In that case I'd rather see those coins getting burned to help increase the overall value. (And don't worry, I would write exactly the same if I was at 100% stakeweight). It would just be distributed evenly with everyone else. Say if I originally was taking 10% of the total rewards with UTXOweight=100 but since my UTXOweight is 50 now, I would be only taking 5% and the other 5% would be distributed among the other researchers.
