They don’t need to, to be strong. They earn from every transaction in all the shops using their Nocks Checkout solutions, and the whole Gulden Eco-System.. But they probably will add NLG-USD later.

ok, but is the exchange build for buying the gulden with euro's of is it build that you dont not have to use bitcoin(or both)

It breaks the need for bitcoin, Gulden can be removed from all bitcoin pairings and can survive on it's own. This is good news for Gulden and should give it's users more confidence in a Gulden future.
The bad news is that you can have 100 exchanges but investors are waiting for PoW2 with SegSig update before they commit more Euros.

There is some big players on the telegram group that are waiting for the POW2 update.

For the time being enjoy the dumping for the next few weeks if you believe POW2 release will come, if you don't believe the devs then dump and walk away.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: October 03, 2017, 02:03:27 PM

I would say first week in November is looking good for PoW2 release.

Starting to lose faith this coin can break into the top 20 if they don't start enticing banks or big business to get involved, it might have the best development but it hasn't got the investors to back up the developers.

jim already took the bet , I don't think it will be before 1st November but on the 1st November.

There is no bet if both sides do not deposit their stake somewhere neutral

I will honor my bet, make sure you honor yours. I will message you my address 1st Nov

He will have to pay you 1000. Nocks exchange did not come yesterday and I have a theory the devs are waiting a month after Nocks exchange to launch PoW2 and SegSig.

The entire Europe will be able to buy through Nocks with Euros when Nocks exchange is out and it will be better to have this when the best development update in crypto history comes.

They are not stupid, the devs.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: September 29, 2017, 01:05:06 PM
Looks like another buying opportunity is about to come if it goes below 2500 sat, the delay in development will give traders and new users one last chance before this goes over $100 million in marketcap.

Good call, looks as if this weekend is going to be a good time to get more coins, volumes are low, no buyers or sellers.
I also notice on twitter that a lot of new merchants have been added this week, is anyone else shocked by how this coin is ignored by the crypto traders and communities?

Nocks will be Gulden's largest volume exchange before November, bittrex will be used to buy cheap coins and trade on the Nocks and also Guldentrader platforms. welcome to the currency for Europe. Asia and USA have bitcoin.

I will update this page if I hear news on slack about beta testing, it's only the Euro exchanges that are beta testing, if testing on PoW2 does not start around the 1st October then it will be December or January before we can witness.

Are you guys betting, or talking? Wink

Both Nocks and GuldenTrader exchange beta testing has started, my theory about PoW2 and SegSig coming 1st November looks to be coming true. The devs want to make sure the whole of Europe has access to Gulden and not only NL with Euro, this before cryptos biggest blockchain innovative update.

Don't think so, the roll out (phase 1) will be before 1st of Nov. Want to make a 1K bet?

I will take that 1K bet.

Great! How should we deposit our bets?

Pay me the 1000 tomorrow , you have lost the bet already. This was meant to be done in May, 4 months late. What makes you think it will be ready in 4 weeks?

It's 4 months late because they added SegSig and latest code base 0.15 . Main dev said PoW2 would of been out already but SegSig is more then twice as good as SegSig with 58% transaction space saving where SegWit is only 25%.

These are all the updates expected this year.

1. 2 Euro - NLG exchanges
2. PoW2 and SegSIG release built on 0.15 code base. Quite possibly the single biggest update in crypto history.
3. New iOS wallet with link feature that Android has where you can control all your funds from the desktop wallet including your mobile wallets. These aren't centralized web wallets either, we talking decentralized full wallets
where you can control all yours and your families funds on your desktop wallet.

Compared to all the other hype'd up shit in the top 100, yes this coin is incredibly cheap.

GuldenTrader is starting private testing on the new Euro-Gulden exchange this Friday morning.

Until the devs release PoW2 and SegSig the price won't go much higher. Nocks and Guldentrader get more business from lower prices as a lot of Dutch people are buying in at .7-.9 Euro cents. Whenever bittrex traders dump the price outsiders are buying it up through Nocks.

This is why the trading volume is low, traders get screwed quickly if they push the price down but there is no support if they push the price up and Nocks and Guldentrader make more money with a lower price which is good for the Gulden economy. Gulden is a very strange crypto compared to the rest of them.

To help Nocks, Litebit and Guldentrader grow their business it's better for traders to dump Gulden.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: September 15, 2017, 11:23:54 AM
I will be able to get back into Gulden this week at a good price. Chinese traders who hold Gulden on bittrex will be forced to dump the coin like they have started doing about 30 minutes ago, price already going below 2900 sat. By Sunday I will be buying Gulden at a HUUUUUGE discount.

The Euro value is coming down nicely, it shows that when bitcoin drops everything drops in value. The dream of Gulden maintaining a stable Euro value is still a dream if bitcoin is crashing. The rank on coinmarketcap is still mid 80s since the start of the crash which proves Gulden is no more stable then any of the other alts in the top 100.

Lots of buyers coming through Nocks and they running short on Gulden, the price is starting to equalize to the Euro value. Gulden also moves into the 70s on coinmarketcap for the first time since the bitcoin rally.

79 Gulden $33,922,113

Is the Nocks Euro-NLG exchange launch at hand?
https://twitter.com/roelbuerra/status/905883037489090560

I get the impression PoW2 and SegSig release is being held back for the 2 Euro-NLG exchanges. It makes sense from a exposure standpoint as the whole of Europe will be able to have easy access to Gulden for the major release and allow more people to Witness instead of bittrex traders
having all the advantage.

I bet the developers are ready to release.

Europe will have the most advanced crypto after PoW2 and SegSig.

I think you are onto something here. The lead developer on slack has been answering highly technical questions on slack regarding PoW2 and SegSig and it appears that he has the answers for everything. The Gulden team is far more intelligent then I initially gave them credit for and this would be a clever move to have the Euro exchanges out first. Nocks have announced private beta testing yesterday and Guldentrader is meant to be going live 1st October, if I were a gambling man I would say 1st of November the world will be introduced to PoW2 and SegSig.

Some of the comments on here are laughable and embarrassing. Scooby do is less confused than some of you on here.

There is so much bullshit posted on here it's almost impossible to know where to start.

BioMike, why do you insist on posting in this thread when you complained in the past about being dragged back into the Gulden discussion? Your posts are becoming less credible every time. You know fine well that this whole snapchat bullshit is not a PnD attempt so why imply that it is? You should spend more of your time helping your Gulden hating butthurt friends to offload their enormous shitcoin bags. Go and stick some signs on some bus stops in the arse end of nowhere instead, or whatever else you like to do in your leisure time.

Don't further destroy your credibility or the credibility of your other projects by continuing to post horseshit in this thread.

This thread is full to the brim with FUD. It must be ignored by all potential Gulden investors at all costs. Stay up to date with developments through official channels.

Good post, but give Biomike some credit. I don't trade but traders like Biomike help users get in at a lower price by artificially suppressing the value allowing a lot more users to enjoy the benefits of growth when it takes place.

The chart for Gulden is very similar to how bitcoin started off, long time of stability followed by increase in value and a new stable price that is higher then previous one.

Well I would like it if the price can remain this low for another 6 months to 12 months so i can buy up a little bit each month with my salary. Trying to get as much out of the Euro as possible.

Sad to hear about the delay but in the long term it will be good for Gulden, in the short term i have pulled a few btc away in buy support as I see other traders have done because bitcoin is going to break $4500 this week. I think if traders are smart we can use this break to get Gulden under 2000 because of the delay in development and another increase in bitcoin price.

Aim for another 1500-2000 sat range will be a really good bargain if you already own bitcoin.

Bitcoin has passed $4500, Gulden is holding up well but if the release is only in March next year then you will have 6 months more of cheap pricing for the coin. Plenty time to get in on this 1500 - 3000 range.

You forgetting Guldentrader exchange is 1 month away , it will be the first NLG-EURO pairing exchange and they have hedge fund interest. This is the most important release this year. Nocks will follow with it's exchange a month or two later and then the Pow2 and segsig release.

That's needs to happen within weeks then, some of the volume (no idea how much, can be 30%,50%,70%) will move to NLG-EUR exchange. That is if nocks realese the exchange in SEP

The order of releases this year:

1. Guldentrader exchange, they going for first mover advantage and is expected to go live 1st October.
2. Nocks exchange end of October or November
3. PoW2 and SegSig as a xmas present.

People join a coin if it is up, or some good marketing.
Gulden is just the sleeping giant.

True, it surprises me that all the progress that is being made is not mentioned here. The Dutch thread here on BCT and the #Gulden twitter are full of stories (Merchants accepting NLG) that would get Gulden much higher. Merchant acceptance should be a main reason why people should have NLG, not some any-time-now tech.

Thanks, twitter gives a nice view of what is going on compared to what I have read here.
I see on twitter there is merchant acceptance taking place, is there any plan for Gulden to expand out of the Netherlands?

https://twitter.com/Gulden

Be weary of the trading channel if you join slack, they all trying to acquire more Gulden. They place large sell orders on purpose to get people to sell to lower bids (no threat of whales taking the large sell orders out) and also pretend they going to pump the price when they going to dump and try buy in lower using your bitcoin. This can keep on occurring while the majority of traders are small fish. It would take a whale to fuck them over but Gulden has none of these, however they are smart enough to know this coin is fucking great and obviously want as much Gulden for as low price as possible.

I would place my 1 btc at 2000 or lower and wait for the traders on slack to dump.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: August 18, 2017, 07:11:14 AM
I think i will pick up some Gulden in the next. i just wait a bit a watch out how the price is doing

Best to wait for an announcement from the developers on the next release which will be a game changer if they can do it, or you can take a huge risk and buy now and they not able to deliver. It has been silent on slack , no news on PoW2 or SegSig and some are starting to worry.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: August 15, 2017, 03:15:00 AM
It looks like a large amount of dumping occurred on Nocks (11.2 btc) which caused the price to hit 1550 sat.  Litebit and Guldentrader over 2 btc each, price pressure coming from everywhere.  Angry

I am starting to see why 99% of the new coins are 100% premined using ICOs to distribute some coins. Not having the additional pressure of multipool dumps aswell as a increase in bitcoin price to contend with is too much strain on the price for coins like Gulden.

Every coin with PoW or PoS is either stable against Euro or going down. Stable against Euro also means a big satoshi drop for these coins where traders would of been better off staying in bitcoin.

It might be time to for the devs to consider a PoW reward of 10 and witness of 10 and reduce the max coins to 550 million. This is the best way to gain value when you have a great development team like Gulden.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: August 09, 2017, 03:48:57 AM
There is a general lack of interest in this coin, traders on slack have given up. Cedric has moved to a new coin. October might see a revival in the price.

Developers are still with Gulden but no one knows or heard when the project will be finished, community is shrinking from the lack of news and terrible price that keeps falling with no end in sight.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: July 22, 2017, 05:27:48 PM
Timmy was right about the Gulden price collapsing but the traders on slack post their coinigy trash graphs saying the price is going up. What a load of shit.

Gulden is a great coin maybe the best after the next update but the price is only going up in October.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: July 16, 2017, 10:11:05 AM
btc will keep falling, sell Gulden into btc and btc into fiat while Gulden above 2500.
