Nobody comment this post??

Congratulation on all this projects, and good luck in work! : )
This only can be win-win for ANC.

Btw, most of us wait for ZC news..
I know you are working on that,
but give us something..

Gracias   Wink

And here u get them. I was in talk with orignal now, which is maindev on "Purple I2P" as it now is named. Since I've helped him a lot with the C++ router, and uses much time on ZC because of all the math (waste when he got degree in math. if he help me now, I can help him more afterwards, removing a lot of time I'm using to study the new math). He would probably help me now, which in the end will speed both developments up, since I help him a lot now, but could have done more if it wasn't for ZC. Since he knows math and I know the Anoncoin source, it could go quickly. We have discussed a lot development and delegation of tasks lately, and it was here this was now mentioned. But we will talk more on Monday. If this is the result, it will be win-win for all parts  Smiley

Also, Awesome as hell!! I connected with i2pd, now Purple I2P on IRC 23:15, and it's now 01:48 and still not disconnected, nor has i2pd crashed!! It was also there the discussion took place Smiley

I will get back when I can confirm more with post on sigterm Smiley

Btw, https://twitter.com/i2p/status/499755192838279168 .. The discussion between me, zzz (i2p's main dev) and orignal (i2pd's main dev) about the implementation methods ANC will use has started Smiley ANC doesn't feel that far away from going default i2p transport. But there is still a lot to do before i2pd is perfect and stable. Getting to this milestone is awesome!

Here is an interesting idea from the Monero thread: I too have been annoyed that the none of the clients out there (including anoncoin) check to see if a new version/update is available.

It's not the first currency where I tell this: one of the first features of a wallet should be to check, at least at start-up, if it's outdated and tell the user to update. There will always be 2 version numbers available: last known version and last mandatory version.
It's not difficult to implement and even the command line wallet can have that check.

Ohwell, maybe in the next version Smiley

Well, the thing is, we don't want the daemon making non-p2p connections unless explicitly allowed by the user, so checking via the web is a no-go. What we *can* do is add functionality where if > 58% of connected peers (ie. 7 of the standard 12 max) are on a newer version, notify the user that a new version is available. Peers can indicate the last mandatory version, too, and if you're on a version < that version the daemon can pump out lots of warnings, and simplewallet can have an additional confirmation dialog for every transaction before sending.

Interesting. It would be very useful to add this feature to next wallet.

I'm gonna look closer on this. But GF rage so later after a walk Smiley

I didn't want to start this thread against Pablo.
He is very good analyzer and know much things like US history, politic, world problems, etc.
Maybe talking to much what is not connected with ANC. Maybe too much criticize, and not much direct offer to resolve, just go more and more in non-existent problems.
Or I would say unnecessarily debate which do not help ANC at this time.
I think we do not understande much because difference in generation/years, an that is normal to look different on problems : )

I will give you some info what I hacked , maybe you will anylyze, or buy more ANCs even today  Wink

KGW got some few mistakes which makes it open to attack, and will be replaced with MeehsBlackHole.....
Testnet4 is created for testing..

do not spread  Grin

and one more thing I noticed, nice meeh's respond to daddy of Zerocoin paper

https://twitter.com/mikalv/status/499173890766422016

Respond to your KGW statement;

Something in that area yes. But the replacement of KGW is under testing internally, final patches for testnet4 are not pushed yet, neither commited since we currently adjusting some values & testing out. Some more ZC code is written too, but in the same file, so it will be pushed when values for the new thing is defined. ANC will continue with the same values etc for the end user. I'm only talking about internal variables to keep a somewhat same approach as KGW without using it :p

Everyone says their own anonymity coin is best. So which is really best? It is safe to say that all of the public anonymity systems, including zerocoin, have many people rushing work on them to put a coin out quickly. Is there something about gnosis or snoncoin that makes its version better than others? There is not. We can argue back and forth, it gets kind of boring though.

The funny thing here is that I've never said Anoncoin is better than the others. I've just made it clear that Anoncoin can run over I2P, and that I will do my best on working with solutions for privacy for end users. However, I've been hash on people claiming having implementations they don't. Smiley

I didn't mean you. Too many people are suggesting though that zerocoin is going to be the best thing about anoncoin. You have been very clear that you are flexible on everything and have a broad view. I meant supporters of anoncoin, darkcoin, monero, bytecoin, etc each say "our coin is best", turning the playing field into a mud bath.

I've just made it clear that Anoncoin can run over I2P, and that I will do my best on working with solutions for privacy for end users.

One of the best humble quotes on this forum so far.

Yes to tired to argue right now Smiley

Dear meeh and Gnosis:

The value of Anoncoin depends on Zerocoin and I2P rather than  something else,Cryptonote is quite a different set of protocol which differs from bitcoin protocol and it has been implemented by  XMR BBR QCN,etc. To implement Zerocoin is always our top priority.Don't doubt this point, please.
Considering the fierce competition of the Altcoin world,it is necessary for us to finish the task as soon as possible instead of  postponing again and again.ANC community is a powerful group,We have many distinguished members such as lunokhod2 n00n geekz ILoveAnon,,,they do a lot of work for the community.I think we all like your geek spirit, for me, this is the spirit of Liberty. This is the reason I became a member of the community.I believe we will win.COME ON.

Don't worry. As I said I will focus on implementing ZC on the testnet, and the RSA-UFO generation is an ongoing process. As of right now I'm working on it, but  there is a lot to think about, and I need to fully understand for example this paper; https://www.cs.purdue.edu/homes/ninghui/courses/Fall04/lectures/commit.pdf .. So programming for me evolved from just writing code to actual write tests, do math with pen&paper, etc the moment I decided to help Gnosis and speedup the process by doing what I can.

Meeh,

Will Anoncoin be moved to the Privacy Solutions Project (http://privacysolutions.no/), just as i2pd and Absconde bundle have? Maybe there is a good reason to keep the two separate.

The organization is created to benefit both Anoncoin and Monero. I and fluffypony have talked a lot, and we're working on better privacy solutions for you guys, instead of arguing with eachother about who got the biggest dick on bitcointalk. Smiley

Currently we see no reason to merge the project into the organization. Anoncoin starts to get good organized anyway now IMO. Smiley

Anyone understand the big drop on Cryptsy recently?

Its hard to understand with zerocoin testnet coming soon
Well they started talking about ZC last year, it was first estimated that ZC testnet would be out in March. Then it was estimated that it would be out by mid July. Then it was estimated that it would be out in September. It's natural that people loses faith when deadlines goes by (without any particular explanations as to why). On top of that, zerocash is being developed and is closing in, if zerocash ends up being released before zerocoin I think the spotlight will be on zerocash even though there is a technical differences between them. Everybody is waiting for the zerocoin devs to release a coin so I tend to think ANC will lose its first mover advantage.

And then there has been other developments recently such as the crypto note protocol with currencies like Monero gaining traction. These are already fully functional, anonymous currencies. This is what ANC has to compete with and the longer it takes the less likely it is to succeed.

Ok, just to be clear, nothing said official/seriously, I'm probably just talking when I should stay quiet. But I was looking into cryptonote yesterday to check out possibilites to move ANC to that codebase with ZC included, under my drunkness late friday night surfing. Smiley Who knows if the thought grows or not, but focusing on ZC first of all now.

Why does no one concern about the TITAN of DPOS ?

that is really anonymous mechanism.

Maybe you can help Anoncoin, I see you know Chinese ?

Yeah, I am chinese .

If I'm correct we're (the team) hiring chinese translations for the client itself. Is this something that might interest you or someone you know?

Please try figure out my connections location. Wink

So what does this other coin provide as "anon" other than a unfinished ZC implementation?

I have no doubt that you are a leader in the field.
As for what the coin provides, You would have to ask the developer. I know that they are working on it as you did when you first launched anoncoin. The first week you launched, did you have trolls coming in the thread to discredit your work and try to sink the price?

Yes correct. I made some mistakes in the launch etc, I'm not hiding them. You find it all in the start of the thread. Much because back then we had to read the source code to create coins, and not have those fancy guides as people have today. I was also new to it back then Smiley However, I didn't say I had a feature I didn't have before it was finished implemented. Tolls came, and some hours later I pushed the I2P patch.

Please try figure out my connections location. Wink

So what does this other coin provide as "anon" other than a unfinished ZC implementation?

I've created a few "blank" articles on the wiki

Anonymity of cryptocurrencies: https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anonymity_of_cryptocurrencies

How to mine Anoncoin: https://wiki.anoncoin.net/How_to_mine_Anoncoin

How to set up Anoncoin to use Tor: https://wiki.anoncoin.net/How_to_setup_Anoncoin_to_use_Tor

I don't mine anoncoin, and I never could get it to work with Tor, so any help from the community would be appreciated!

Tor guide should lie somewhere in the source code under contrib or docs.

100ANC bounty for the best designed CSS for the qt wallet.

https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Bounties

please provide a short guide how to do the tech part or you will scare most designers Smiley
where do we find the css file?
how do we test the css on the wallet?
will the css look the same on all OS or do we have to do different csss?
is it pure css or are there images/other files as well?

Check out the link on this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227287.msg8240430#msg8240430

It's Qt's mods of CSS for their own system. Anoncoin can read custom css by using:
style=custom.css where custom.css lies inside the Anoncoin application folder where you find the wallet and the blockchain and the config file itself.
