41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Bet on: June 23, 2024, 05:05:49 AM
Bitcoin is gaining a lot of popularity and there are people considering it as a retirement investment. How good is this?
I know it's just your use of words, but I will not recommend betting on your retirement plan. Retirement is the one you should be sure of since we are talking about the rest of your life here

Anyway, bitcoin is most profitable when you hold for a long period so I think it is a good investment even if you are not in your retirement age just yet you can definitely hold bitcoin until you are ready to retire and use the profit you have made from bitcoin
42  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unreasonable Withdrawal Limits on Betiro on: June 21, 2024, 11:24:05 AM
All I can say is that at least I can say that any player who can withdraw money within 1 month has at least 500$ with a total of 15000$, which is not bad for me to be honest, rather than the other or just suddenly block your account from a casino.
yeah that is not bad after all because there are many cases here that the gambling site has been scamming players and giving nothing to withdraw  but here there are at least 500$ a day in which for me thi is not bad afterall.

It’s really good than completely scam but there’s no guarantee either that he will continuously withdraw 500$ regularly since casino like this with small limit usually not fair on this matter. There’s a chance that he might receive less in the proce but yeah this much better since he has no other option.
that is what most members here concerns as  OP might end up using all the remaining amount to gamble because of long waiting and also we have seen this in some problems from the past and they have lose the remaining amount as they cannot deny the call of betting.

Quote
And just like what others mentioned here, it is still really important that we read the TOS that a casino has in this field of crypto space. So, just wait for the OP or just follow the rules that the casino has; it's that simple and should be understood, and besides, he also has no choice.
But I think they trapped the player about the rules of withdrawal or at least edited the rules after winning by OP .

You’re right because they should just follow the written limit before they edit it to the correct one if their intention is not to trap users.
that is why this site looks cheater because instead  of giving the withdrawal first before changing the rules ? they choose to do it directly to longen the withdrawal of OP .
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasoning before investing can save you from lose on: June 21, 2024, 07:13:25 AM
Otherwise, investing with the mindset that it's okay to lose money is not wise.
anyone with this kind of mindset should not be in crypto or in any kind of investment

making profit is the goal here but you should also know that sometimes, you can lose money if you do not know how to manage your investments well. the worst case scenario would be to lose money but you also should be prepared in case you do.

prevention and back up plans is the fool proof combination to make sure you avoid losing money or at the very least minimize how much you are losing
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Improvement Proposals on: June 21, 2024, 06:52:27 AM
Hello!

I wanted to ask if someone could explain to me how Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) work exactly?

Can anyone knowledgeable about programming submit their ideas, and how does the testing and potential implementation of these proposals proceed?

Thanks a lot to everyone!

Yours sincerely,
DrHodler59
well yes bip is open to anyone with ideas. due to the lack of centralization or primary leader, bip was implemented. these documents will go under review and will be discussed by all members of the community and not only a board of directors or something

to be implemented, the community must reach a general agreement. some of the most significant bip examples are BIP 39 and BIP 32
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They will find someone to blame for their mistakes on: June 20, 2024, 05:20:43 AM
There was a topic that was posted on gambling discussion not quite long about British Prime Minister bodyguard arrested for election date bet. If I understood it, people are to bet on the day the election date would be.

People can bet on Miss World, Election, Sports and other events that it is not someone that fixed the result or set the date. I have not heard of this kind of bet before until today.
Me neither. I mean we, voters, often speculate on the possible date due to schedule and whatnot but I have never heard of anyone turning it into a bet.
Quote
Some people posted that such people like the bodyguard should not be allowed to bet on the date of Election but what if he told someone to help him out and the money will be shared? Or is something like this can not be manipulated? If you know what would be the result of something, you can do one or two or more manipulation with that thing.
This bodyguard is obviously within the area of where most confidential files would be. He would also have opportunities to overhear many important people talking about these kind of things so yes he definitely has an advantage.
Quote
I think betting sites should not be allowed to include such bet. They should not just only be blaming the man. I see the betting site faults also. Why making people to bet on a result that someone set?
An election date is important to be announced to all candidates all at the same time. Knowing beforehand will give a candidate more time to plan his or her campaign and could even tamper with related tools to be used on the day of the election. This kind of betting is dangerous especially if you work for a government institution or anything that deals with politics.

However I dont see anything harmful if normal citizens were to bet on it. It is definitely the man's fault to getting involved in such a bet.
46  Other / Politics & Society / Invasion of Taiwan-Prompted by US? on: June 20, 2024, 04:45:38 AM
China's Xi accused the US of trying to trick him into invading Taiwan

US has explicitly said that they will come to Taiwan's aid if they were to be invaded by China. These two countries have tensions over different kinds of geopolitical issues not only in Taiwan.

US is an ally to many countries one being the Philippines which is surprise, surprise also has issues with China. To me it seems that US might be using other countries to go against China. If China were to attack Taiwan now, it would result in huge losses for them but this doesn't reduce their motivation to bring the lands back together as their president says.

Do you think this need of US to always be involved in many conflicts will fire back?

48  Economy / Gambling / Re: tell me the best online casino on: June 19, 2024, 05:10:24 AM

We do know that when it comes to the best online casino that we do have in the market then it would really be
just that depending into someones preference but here's my list.

1. Stake
2. Betcoin.ag
3. Duelbits
4. Rollbit

What  i wanna add here is Roobet.com mate and will take out Rollbit as that one has many issues that still in pending and not being settled up to now .

Another casino to be added is bitvest.io

yeah there are some cases that there is a delay in Wallet refilling but everything is being settled after a while so I believe their reputation is still in good position till now.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Im waiting Crisis to buy finally land and Property or to build myself on: June 19, 2024, 04:52:24 AM
Yes Im waiting crisis when i can buy finally land and Property everything is so expensive.
But war will make better prices in every bad there is something good war it's not good thing but at least you could buy something cheaper after war.
That is just selfish.

A war is not just an opportunity for you to continue living your privileged life. Wars actually destroy homes and polishes off generations of families. Kids are no longer given a chance to continue growing up.

Yes you could find something good in wars but this does not mean we should actively wait much less hope for it.
50  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Order an Article for Your Project and Pay with a Tip on: June 19, 2024, 04:34:21 AM
How is this any different than paying AI to generate a post?
1. Originality
Anyone can ask AI to generate a post or write articles and essays and most likely if you ask AI to create something of a particular topic then it will generate the same thing for more than one person. If someone has already used the AI generated piece before you had posted yours, you could be accused of plagiarism.
2. Credibility
AI just takes excerpts from pre-existing texts and incorporates them into one without any kind of paraphrasing or citation. When you are writing something, there should always be sources indicted on where you got your information from. Especially in OP's case where they are writing articles. AI just copy and paste basically the information it finds and offers no sources. This is another case of plagiarism and can decrease the writer and the paper's credibility
3. Creativity
AI is a robot hence why it also writes like one. Absolutely no creativity and only filled with extravagant words. Sometimes it even makes grammar mistakes. AI is not perfect and so are humans but humans can write better.
51  Other / Off-topic / Re: Been A Whole While on: June 19, 2024, 04:02:52 AM
I last accessed bitcointalk back in April, and honestly with the death of most campaigns here I don't find any reason to visit this forum anymore, although I will remember about bitcointalk every once in a while, check the whole forum out, post a little bit, and then go on an indefinite hiatus once again.
Despite many campaigns no longer being updated, there are still ones that are worth joining especially with bounties. Besides, aside from campaigns forum is just generally a very interesting and interactive place to be.

Plenty of things to learn in.

For peeps here who experienced the same way but came back eventually with a rejuvenated love for the forum, how did you guys do it? Tips are really welcome and appreciated right now lol.
Just keep yourself interested and try to read and engage as much as possible. Do not put too much pressure on it because it might turn into a burden instead. I am sure there are still plenty of things to do around this forum that could catch your attention.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coin without algorithm or backing on: June 18, 2024, 07:39:28 AM
How do you think would the the price in USD of such stablecoin always stay close to 1.00?
I hope I understand your question properly.

Stablecoins are backed by collateral assets that are usually controlled to help manage the price of the stablecoin itself. Any entity or organization that holds these stablecoins (if it is a centralized platform) or those who hold the collateral that is used to back up stablecoins usually try to control the supply and demand so the price stays as close to $1 at all times.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dangerous insights on bitcoin Investor on: June 18, 2024, 06:55:52 AM
Invest or trade silently without noise the public on what I am doing, is better practice for my investment, trading activities and my privacy, security too.
Most of the time it is better to just invest by your own decisions. FOMO and FUD are things you can get from all the speculations that goes around the internet.

however it is still good to be aware of all news. They might help you make some plans for the future term but be aware that these news will not always be affecting the market.
Quote
If people know I am investing or trading Bitcoin, when they meet me, they will talk about it and can create some pressure on me, affect my emotion then decision in investment or trading, it's not good at all.
Additionally, people are going to want to make comments about your decision and make you feel as if you are doing the wrong thing. Investing is something that should be personalized because not everything will work for the same people.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling winnings should NOT be taxed on: June 18, 2024, 06:49:26 AM
In my country (Australia) ALL gambling winnings and profits are 100% tax free.

You don't have to declare it because it is considered a hobby.

In the USA and other countries gambling winnings are treated the same as income and gambling companies are required by law to withhold federal income taxes.

If I had to pay taxes I would quit gambling. The risk wouldn't be worth it.

Does your country tax gambling winnings and if so do you declare it yourself or does the gambling operator withhold the taxes on your behalf?

While I completely support your position here and believe that gambling winning should not be taxed yet governments has their own way of treating this and many countries that has taxes in gambling considered this a money making machine  to add funds in their economy.

and for me this is normal because you risked in gambling like what you said for fun and hobby so i think your winning is just a bonus right? then why not give portion to the government because still that is worth a risk.
55  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Casino Recommendations on: June 18, 2024, 04:55:07 AM
Hello friends, I used to work at a casino provider, and now I'm developing my own site and games based on cryptocurrency. I need your help to develop a good site. What problems do you see in current crypto-based sites, and if you were to create your own site, how would you like it to be? I want the games on my site to operate with a 99% RTP, so I will not include any games that do not meet this condition. I would appreciate it if you could keep this in mind. You can also suggest a name for us.
you have worked in game provider , and now that you are here in bitcointalk a simple surfing in this section will answer your question here.

Quote
EDIT 1

I would like to ask you more specific questions.

Our plan is to launch with 10 games that have a high win rate, and these will be games we have developed ourselves. For example, games like Mines, Plinko, and Hilo. Do you think 10 games would be satisfactory for you?
some gambling sites here even started with single game so having 10 is more than enough to start your plan and make sure that you will satisfy each players to make your site more attractive.

Initially, we want to accept investments by supporting the BNB and ETH networks. Will these be sufficient for you?
better to accept bitcoin first so this thread of yours will not land in altcoin section in which will have less viewers and visitors .
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peculium coin on: June 17, 2024, 11:10:50 AM
I was going through my old wallets and managed to find 5.000 PCL, is it still active? I can't seem to "sell" it on Blockchain.info.
It’s simple, really.

There’s just no one who wants to buy it from you. I am not surprised. I checked their website and while it looks good, doesn’t really seem to have any promising offers. I can’t find any social media accounts so it’s difficult to say if the coin is still alive or not.

If I were to bet my money, I’d say it’s dead.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying a Bitcoin paper wallet from a train ticket dispenser on: June 17, 2024, 10:40:15 AM
Although I don't see why would this attract any users at all? Especially for someone who lives there since exchanges are easily accessible, and much cheaper.
Here in my country, there are lots of machines just like this where you can basically exchange your cash to some digital cash. This works even with bitcoin if you don’t have any digital fiat to exchange with bitcoin and you just want to exchange it directly.

Another scenario is if you are running and you suddenly need some bitcoin (which I agree seems unrealistic but hear me out here), you can easily exchange your fiat to bitcoin right here.

It might seem more of an inconvenience right now but this looks like a good step towards mass adoption of bitcoin. It also increases awareness as people might see it and get curious what the heck is a bitcoin and why is it in our train station?!
Quote
As for the complaints of users finding the private keys empty, then I would imagine that could be solved easily since it's easy to prove if the address had any funds, and when did the buy transaction occured. (assuming the company has no intention of scamming people of course).
They need to raise this concern. Since it is situated on a train station, the train station even if it they are not directly responsible for these machines still have responsibility because it is their place where these machines are situated in.

I don’t know how it works in other countries but trains are usually implemented and controlled by the government itself which seems like a bad idea if these machines were openly scamming people.
58  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dream Job or Dream Salary? on: June 16, 2024, 03:00:43 PM
You can’t say for sure, but I would like to have my own business and receive at least $2,000 a month
That does not seem too unrealistic to be honest.

Especially if it is not a small business and it grows to be a big company, 2k usd is not that far off. It would depend on the nature of business you want to pursue and may I just recommend that if you are going to dream about your dream salary dream higher. Wink

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing wisely in memecoins can give you returns. on: June 16, 2024, 02:51:16 PM
most of the meme coin that rises up high usually already have strong community behind so whenever it goes public the price already high so the market cap is high too
These are the coins that were really created because they are popular memes. Even people who are not that familiar with crypto end up investing in memecoins just for the sake of investing in it.

or the coin just getting pumps out of the blue.
This is what happens when the memecoin suddenly goes viral maybe out of speculation or just people experiencing fomo

60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I now accept bitcoin payments in my Beauty shop on: June 16, 2024, 02:31:41 PM
people prefer making payments in bitcoin sometimes but we may not really understand some people do not really want to even go close to bank or do anything with bank, so they prefer using the bitcoin as a means of exchange for them
There are people who do not want to carry cash on them due to many reasons but one of them is for safety purposes. But some of these people are also unbanked which creates a complication.

This is where crypto or bitcoin comes in. People now have another option and that is what is appreciated in adding bitcoin/crypto as a payment method
