I was guessing that the there would be around 750-1500 Secure Nodes based on what I see on testnet. but after listing to the zencash team biweekly update looks more like 2000-3000 secure nodes I belive its 3.5 of all mining rewards are divide by the number of secrue nodes. heres a calculator https://zen.lebre.nethaha you beat me to it |

Kudos to the zencash team. I initially thought this was a shitcoin that was going to die early but i've been proven wrong time and again.
I now have one of my GPUs pointed to zencash mining not just because of FOMO but hopefully to help the networks as well.
I'm interested in running a node of zencash. Can you give details on how you figured the 5-8 zencash per month reward?

I believe he got the 5-8 zencash from this website which shows the zencash secure node data. Look at zen/node/day https://securenodes.na.zensystem.io/However, this calculation is based on the number of secure nodes on the testnet. I expect there to be 5 to 10 times more nodes when the mainnet and payments are live. My opinion -
POWR - if you don’t see the massive, massive potential of this beast, you shouldn’t invest in crypto
SUBSTRATUM - net neutrality laws got you down? ..meet the new web... one of the best teams + easy sell.
CLEARPOLL - 3 million market cap for a coin that has an experience app dev team, solid roadmap, and solves a problem best solved with blockchain - trust in polls. Devs shooting for simple experience to promote usage and adoptoin. This is the kind of coin that could go bonkers next year - super low circulatoin.. aussies are racking ‘em up right now..
SNGLS - one big name token from 2 billion market cap - entertainment industry is ripe for disrupting
SNM - won’t be $.10 USD for long.. these guys make it look too easy
CVC - 100x by 2020
LINK - you are going to have to wait on this one I think one big partnership way from a billion valuation.. risky but has drawn a lot of interest and copycats.. which might be their downfall
ZEN - don’t laugh, its been climbing, but it might be 1000 a coin by 2019 screenshot this.. all it takes is news of one government or security agency having used it and it’s absolutely over. It’s the best privacy coin ever devised. Sorry XMR I love you for spending online shopping but no contest. Sorry zCash you are too centralized great tech but you’re sellouts, you’ll do fine. No competition in hypersecurity space. NONE.
To add in about the potential of ZEN. This week the secure node system will be going live on the mainnet. The payment system for the secure nodes will be activated 2 weeks after that. It only takes 43 to operate a secure node and the secure nodes take a split of 3.5% of the block reward. I would expect big gains in the coming weeks. |

Ethereum just hit an all time high. So maybe. I know some people that bought in the last time it hit 400 and dropped way down until now. So wait for a dip.

I would put money in zencash, vtc, or xel. Three coins that have great dev teams and they have marketcaps much lower than their closest competitors. Also vtc has a very active community. People often forget that community drives adoption just as much as technology.

3.5% of all mining rewards will be distributed among all Secure Nodes. Though Its hard to know many Secure Nodes there will be, going by the testnet figures my guess is you can earn 5 to 8 Zencash a month for operating a Secure node.
It is exciting to the zencash devs getting things done. But I believe that there will be many more nodes than what is on the testnet. I bet there will be 5000 nodes within months of node payments moving to the mainnet. There will be even more nodes as the price increases. |

Does this mean that you may increase the 42+1 requirement for secure nodes? That has potential to piss a lot of people off in the long run. You need to finalize that decision now and baseline a number with at least two to five year committment. Do you gonna up ZEN needed to maintain a SecureNode ?
Cause with only 42+1 ZEN, actually more them 60k secure node can be run ...
Never reach profit at all, it will cost you more except if ZEN price raise.
Maybe a limit about 100+1 ZEN can be good so in maximum if all coin go to secure node we will have less them 21k secure node (Steel umprofitable but with more hope)
Something like 150-200+1 ZEN would be even better.

I doubt we can see over 20k nodes (Immediately), but if this happens price certainly won't stay same. http://zen.lebre.net/ 10k nodes is 420k Zen Bittrex has under 200k in orders book.  System will be improved over time, when Team collect enough information from system itself. Trough system of proposals and voting we will be able to change and improve almost all elements of this system.  I doubt that the 42+1 ZEN will be changing anytime soon. I don't see the dev team changing it. |

ALQO can easily go 3x within the end of this year. It has masternodes, already working product and great community. I never heard ALQO. Where did you hear it? Have you ever invested in it? It is quite new coin, I first heard about it here on the forum, see announcement thread. And yes, I invested in it, I am actually among top50 ALQO coinholders according to the explorer. I second this, we started spending time on this and started seeing good improvement. ALQO doesn't offer anything new that other coins can't do. |

Bitcoin dominance raised from 52% to over 58% in past 24 hours.
Bitcoin price raised from 7200 to over 8000 and now it's back to 7900.
I'm expecting alt 'boom' in next 48 hours to correct the Bitcoin dominance again to 52%-54%. Now it's good time to buy alts.

The market of use is the largest with BTC. More people who use it as a currency/wealth storage. Follow the community and go with BTC

zencash is great but need much better marketing, PR. Such comparison with monero should be anywhere, not only here on forum PR need send worlwide messages with news each 2 weeks, especially need very big message send to world after secure nodes... Theres shuld be articles on bloges, sponsored aarticles also. Without marketing will be hard to be better then coins which are now more popular like dash, zcash, monero. Zencash is better then all these 3 but to win zencash need much better marketing than now is (very active). Oddly enough there is not much discussion here on the forum either. This thread should by now have reached several hundred pages. most of the discussion is on the discord channel. the subreddit r/zensys doesn't have much activity either. The weak community could kill the project. |

VTC or zencash are my too picks for you. VTC is working on lightning network and atomic swaps with ltc and btc. Zencash is a zcash fork that will be implementing nodes within the month. The nodes pay part of the block reward so value will likely increase.

there is nothing i am afraid.
only thing that you can trust for long term investment is bitcoin. all the other altcoins will go down in the long term and only it is in short term that they get pump and dumped and can give you any profit.
and always try to do your own analysis instead of asking others to tell you what to invest in.
there was one altcoin called DMD (Diamond) that i think had a pretty good stable price and if i am not mistaken it was a POS system. you might want to check that out because i don't have many details on it.
One hell of a sell for DMD. You cannot seriously think that DMD is a better long term investment when compared to ltc or eth? |

LTC- alternative to bitcoin with better and quicker development.
VTC- tries to solve the problem with miners controlling the market with asic resistance and dev team even faster than LTCs.
ZEN- complete anonymous transactions, messaging, and publishing. Secured through mining and secure nodes. user based governance.

Smaller guys: Vtc and zencash
Vtc and zencash have gotten me some pretty nice gains recently. I expect more to come when the secure nodes for zencash are released.
