two users must be online all the time to translate, this is just nonsense and not technology.
Same is with cash money, so it isn't a nonsense. Wink
...but I agree with the part that "from an economic point of view, grin is the same as dogecoin"
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: July 23, 2020, 07:01:13 PM
I can explain wht DeFi means. It means "pump" or "new ICO", new trend to take money from naive investors, who will buy at the top and lose 80% of worth, while staying with bags of worthless coins.
Beam can do better than this. It is POW privacy coin, real thing.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: July 18, 2020, 04:57:29 PM
True, if we compare FIAT with GRIN.
But ... If you compare it to Bitcoin (or Litecoin or any other POW coin), Grin will always have large inflation, which will be even larger after every halvening of BTC or LTC. If we look at "current supply" of GRIN few years from now and compare it with GRIN inflation today, it will be much smaller ofcourse, but even then it will be much larger than inflation of deflationary POW coins.
That may be good thing in terms of survivability, distribution, adoption, etc... but it will definitely be bad price-wise, in satoshis. So, why would anyone hold GRIN instead of BTC?
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: July 18, 2020, 09:14:06 AM
As someone told: "I don't need inflationary crypto. I have EUR and USD for that."
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BLOCPAL - Digital Wallet Solutions on: July 17, 2020, 12:34:19 PM
I am not sure. They have Tortooga project in Mexico. Maybe someone from Mexico could tell us more.
https://www.tortoogapay.com/en
https://www.facebook.com/TortoogaMex/

They have 14k+ likes on FB and growing, but are all of them true users?

Really not sure. I'm all in green team. Smiley

Both core and memory are important on this algo, but I would say core is more important.

How it goes: First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they ignore you, then they laugh at you again...  Grin

so called ''supporters'' like Patrick Byrne who were probably the creators of the ASICS for RVN
I believe too this is the case.

The wallet doesn't work on Android. When registering and entering all data and accepting data entry, there is an infinite loading, an empty screen and a circle in the center is displayed and nothing happens. What to do?
I had exact same problem with one older Android phone (Samsung J3).
It should work well on newer mobile phones and if not, you can run it on PC using Android emulator (personally I tried Bluestacks, but I guess it works on others too).

*Here: https://github.com/RavenProject/Ravencoin/releases
*Download this file: raven-4.1.0.0-win64.zip (24.2 MB)
*Unzip, enter "\bin" directory and start raven-qt.exe

If you do this, there would be no need to download whole blockchain again (only update, probably few percents, meaning 5-10min of waiting).
This works to me.

ASIC owners wants to get rid of those hundreds of millions of RVN.

* for the next ~2 months.
Hmmm... You think that someone will make ASIC for new algo?
Supposedly, new algo should be similar to ProgPOW and that algo use almost 100% of GPU. So, in order to make ASIC for ProgPOW, they would need to practicaly create new powerful GPU (better than NVidia and AMD make).

Supposedly, I say. If that is 100% true (even if that is 50% true), there wouldn't be new ASICs or they will have almost zero impact (if they are for example only 1.5x or 2x more efficient than GPUs).

Yes, but actually no.
Price will probably go down, when all moonboys realize that there will be no "moon". At least not now.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CoinPoker: Poker future is today! on: March 19, 2020, 12:03:43 PM
I don't know what are you're talking about when mentioning Pokerstars as example? Giving lower rakeback to someone is one thing and banning someone from playing because he is good at the game is totally different thing. Rakeback can vary from 0 - 100% , depending of room, player country, current promotion and lot of factors.
But for 43 yrs of my life, I can't remember that I've heard something similar happening in any industry, sport or any competition. (baning someone because he is good at it). Imagine ATP bans Nadal, Djokovic and Federer because they are too good. Or Champions League ban Barcelona, Bayern and Juventus.... or Formula 1 ban Mercedes team.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CoinPoker: Poker future is today! on: March 19, 2020, 08:38:27 AM
So, basicaly, you say to us that you don't want winning players in your poker room? Only players who play until rake eat them all. (losing or break-even players)

I will consider this silence as "Yes".
