41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: November 08, 2017, 06:43:05 PM
For me, Bitcoin has many advantages, one advantage is it gives to the individual money to sustain the basic needs, It also reduce the increasing number of unemployed in some countries, The people who work in bitcoin develops the ability to reason out, enhanced the English proficiency, that's the some advantage of bitcoin.

Now a days we can use bitcoin in many ways.. we can buy online that accept bitcoin as well.. I like the fact that  we can even exchange bitcoin to cash... but it;s only applicable to other countries
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I would like to invest! on: November 07, 2017, 04:20:24 PM
If you compare with 2009 then yes you are late.  But if you compare with 2020 then you just need to invest right away right now! on 2020 when you would look back today you will be glad that you have invested.

long story short, it's not too late just invest in bitcoins. You don't need to buy a full bitcoin, you can start with BTC0.01 or so..  good luck!

I agree.. but it's never too late to start now..  i just invested 3  months ago and what a difference...
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying using BTC on: November 06, 2017, 05:57:13 PM
With the volatility that bitcoin has, it's better they receive their payments in btc than paying their partners in bitcoin. Would be a nice idea if Google made their own cryptocurrency and started to pay with it, because that would give so much confidence for cryptos that Bitcoin could easily hit $ 10,000. This could be interesting and might start a really new running to see who makes the better cryptocurrency, google, apple, microsoft, samsung? Who knows that? Amazon seems to have given the first step and may be the pathways of a large company fully involved to cryptos.

Do you think there's a possibilities that we can use Bitcoin to pay?

48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: October 23, 2017, 06:41:46 PM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin
I've heard bitcoin or crypto currency from a very close friend of mine who encourage me to invest bitcoin, at first I really don't understand what's all this thing about but when one day I try to listen to what he is saying then come to realize it's it was interesting so i started researching, reading, until I come to the point that I mine bitcoin .. and now I even invested to other coins.. like RISE...

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to invest in firstcoin on: October 19, 2017, 06:37:07 PM
It went from less than $1 in February to over $13 in October. That's not bad.

I'm concerned that it's listed only on 2 exchanges. It's essentially a copy of bitcoin, and I don't see anything unique about it.

I wouldn't invest long term on this coin.

Can you tell us why do you want to invest on this coin? is there any unique on this?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 18, 2017, 05:44:18 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

Thank you other altcoin will have future, since everyone has unique platform that they consider are improving.. I do have bitcoin and other coins like RISE .. I invested these coins hoping and thinking that they will last..

53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: October 05, 2017, 03:55:05 PM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.

It always depend , there are some other cryptocurrency that have a potential to rise.. each cryptocurrency has there own unique character that make people attract and invest on them for example RIS other people invest on this like me and others not , but in reality Bitcoin is the one whos leading but all started from nothing...
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold" on: October 04, 2017, 05:10:07 PM
Another hard fork seems to come soon. The new bitcoin will be named "Bitcoin Gold". How would you think about this?

Bitcoin Gold will be successful as like Bitcoin Cash?

Bitcoin price will go higher before and after the new hard fork?

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe! on: October 02, 2017, 03:04:25 PM
I haven't seen anybody post about what would be my biggest worry if I were trying out alternative block chains. I realize this may be perceived as "Gavin is FUD'ding anything that isn't bitcoin!"  (FUD == Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)  But I think some of you might be forgetting some basic computer security fundamentals in the excitement to be early adopters.

When I first heard about bitcoin, my questions were:

1) Can it possibly work (do the ideas for how it works make sense)?
2) Is it a scam?
3) If it is not a scam, could it open my computer up to viruses/trojans if I run it?

I answered those questions by:

1) Reading and understanding Satoshi's whitepaper.  Then thinking about it for a day or two and reading it again.
2) Finding out everything I could about the project.  I read every forum thread here (there were probably under a hundred threads back then) and read Satoshi's initial postings on the crypto mailing list.
3) Downloaded and skimmed the source code to see if it looked vulnerable to buffer overflow or other remotely exploitable attacks.

If I were going to experiment with an alternative block-chain, I'd go through the same process again. But I'm an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

If you want to take a risk on a brand-new alternative block-chain, I'd strongly suggest that you:

1) Run the software in a virtual machine or on a machine that doesn't contain anything valuable.
2) Don't invest more money or time than you can afford to lose.
3) Use a different passphrase at every exchange site.

As a newbie this very interesting..I also mine another altcoin other than Bitcoin and that's Rise.. Thanks for this informatio.

58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto ,how to save innocents ? on: September 29, 2017, 05:55:20 PM
Guys i am newbie but i believed crypto currrencies will give some additional leverage to average guy against mighty in various forms.
I believed in satoshi's vision to empower but I am seeing crypto is used to launch ICOs/scam/rob innocent peoples.
There are numerous ways build around crypto to milk the innocents.
I feel as this forum is the biggest stage of crypto this forum members should take some steps to prevent all this  else whole crypto world is  ponzi scheme run by few specialists.

Even in 21st century we don't have some scam proof systems.Humans discoveries are useless and futile if we cant develop some trust system.
Lack of trust gives birth to FUD.And in turn shifts human race to lower grades.
Please take/suggest some initiatives to control this.
Being a programmer myself if  my code can help/solve/contribute in any way let me know.

thank you for your insight and suggestion.. this will help especially I am minning a  Rise coin right now..
