I tried to launch the Noir wallet, but I was getting . I tried to fix it and eventually gave up.
Then I installed it on Windows 7. It runs fine, but consumes few GB of RAM after like an hour of running. Is there any way to prevent this behavior?

Check under options, if staking is enabled.
As well you have a little lock icon on the top right. When you hover over it, it should say: "wallet is locked". By pressing on it, it will ask for your password if you set one to unlock it.

Thanks for your answer. I created the wallet and now I'd like to transfer coins from the old one. I have most of the SPECTRE coins locked in stake category, even though I disabled staking. I guess, I just need to wait for a while until they appear as available?

Not staking because wallet is locked

You can only dump public address's keys. Which isn't really a recommened practise if you make regular transfers, as the wallet creates a new change address with each transfer.
However, v4.1 introduced MNEMONIC seed words when you set-up a new wallet. Thats recommended alongside backing-up your wallet.dat file.

I know there is a ton of methods to do this and everyone talked about how it can be done but nobody mentioned how dangerous it is. Bitcoin is an anti-inflation currency which means it will go up with time all the time, of course it drops a lot of times but that doesn't matter since the long term it is against the valuation of dollars.

We all know people could have bought houses for 100 dollars maybe 100 years ago and nowadays we know it costs a million dollars, that is of course over the span of 100 years but if you look at 10 years ago and today you will see inflation affects as well, hence why bitcoin will always go up in each decade. So, if you do this in the long run there is a chance you end up losing money, maybe in short term you may profit but not constantly.

i can bet that bitcoin might create over 80% dominance in this crypto market. so far the bitcoin dominance is getting out of hand and altcoins are failing rapidly. this might affect the current market condition and it is not a situation for cryptocurrency. there should be balance to avoid a total loss in the altcoin market. people might tends to sell off.

Completely agree with you. The best way to make a profit is trading, not gambling. You can go short and make a profit. You can do it on Monfex. I've been trading there for half an year and can state that it's quite a reliable and convenient platform that will suit both newbie and pro trader.

Bitcoin is about to drop sharply this week

Spectrecoin 3.0.12 has been released and is now available

This release fixes a critical oversight introduced in the 3.0.10 release which lead to an unintentional fork on block 1,232,433. This was possible because a node staked the exact same ATXO (SPECTRE output) with the same wallet.dat on different network nodes. Normally one chain would win and the other blocks would become orphaned. In this case because of the oversight, a minority of 3.0.10 and 3.0.11 wallets which received the later orphaned block before the block of the main chain, continued to stake the fork.

We informed the exchanges and to our knowledge they have always been on the main chain.

Please update your node to 3.0.12 as soon as possible. The wallet will check if you are on the main chain and if not abort with a corresponding message.

It has take the best part of 18 months to re-boot this project to where we are now. Having
survived the ‘crypto winter’ we are now on schedule to start filming the trailer episode in mid
August 2019. The script is signed off, the production budget in place and the cast chosen.

In this update I will explain where we are with the project, the plans for 21M tokens and how we
intend to finance Season 1.

Re-boot of Project
The damage done by David Lofts my co-founder at the beginning of 2018 was significant. I
managed to settle out of court with the IP owners of the director and writer where it was revealed
David stole the original 21Million story. David’s action placed the entire project in jeopardy before
we had started and why I decided to fire him. Since then it can come as no surprise he has
continued to attack the project and spread mis-information.

But despite this here we are. I have kept in contact with many 21M token holders who remain
patient, but also very frustrated, with some quite upset simply waiting for the 21M to be re-listed
to liquidate their position. As a buyer and holder of many AltCoins myself I can fully understand
this position.
