41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano knocks off BTC's Crown on: January 29, 2018, 02:40:47 PM
If you're going to make a long term investment on this or any other coin, for that matter, you'd probably be better off making decisions on your own. Most responses you'd get here are self motivated, including mine I admit.

One thing to note: if any alt sets off with the mission to "dethrone" Bitcoin, they should work first on adoption and utility. Not price, not tech, not even fast confirmations or zero fees. Almost all alts are supposedly superior to Bitcoin's tech, but that's not the only thing or even the main thing that will make people switch.

So far, no alt can match the Bitcoin community's support. Got a problem with tx? Ask and knowledgeable people help. Developers at BTC are also the very best. You get a secure, tested, solid and mature coin with Bitcoin. Got a problem with an alt tx? wallet? Try see how many people help, and how many give useful advice.

You nailed it! I guess people who try to achieve 'superior coin' go about it the wrong way. However, I asked for the opinions of people to sample ideas and, worst case scenario consider if it is going to be a worthwhile decision. Don't need another regret like XRP.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Cardano knocks off BTC's Crown on: January 29, 2018, 01:59:29 PM
Hi everyone, just a curious question. Can Cardano surpass BTC & ETH?
I know that it is currently undervalued - or so I think; But with ADA's solidity and scalability prospect is it ever going to happen?

Your thoughts please... Need to make a long term investment decision on this.

After seeing transaction fees reduced and a fair amount of time for transaction confirmation, I think we can be optimistic about the 'Grand' Coin.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could eth de-crown BTC in 2018? on: January 28, 2018, 05:27:05 PM
Consider ADA and other new blockchain designs coming up. It proves that the current system leaves a lot to desire.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How big can the whole market grow? on: January 28, 2018, 05:25:51 PM
I mean the total cap of all crypto. Of course no one can know for sure, but it would be interesting to hear any ideas. Btw the global stock market is worth about 80 trillion

I think the question is how big 'can't' the market get. Seeing that even at the coming G20 convention, the discussion around regulation of cryptos centres about its benefit rather than crippling the system. So if i were to guess a figure - it really is too soon to tell, but around the ball park of $8 trillion USD by 2020 if regulation goes well.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could eth de-crown BTC in 2018? on: January 28, 2018, 05:22:20 PM
bitcoin is what we all know, eth heh what's that? oh some altcoin/crypto currency, I see :-P

long story short, I don't see anything replacing bitcoin, but bitcoin may go out of reach from our hands and become some sort of reserve currency in coming years.

Hence why it is being touted as digital gold. In the near future Eth will have its own set of competition, like it is to bitcoin, so the struggle for BTC's throne is a little more than a challenge for eth but also a competition.

Won't be surprised if BTC makes another bullrun

Great project. Has any development been made about the bounty or airdrop of tokens.

53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit coin hit 25000 USD on: January 03, 2018, 01:38:13 PM
In my opinion i think that bitcoin will hit 25000 usd in the middle of the year of 2018.The way btc is now increasing it can easily surface 25000 usd within few months.
Me too. This year has beem a breakout year for btc. I cam't even count anymore how much we've broken an alltime high since it's pretty consistent in breaking it. And that paved the way for this trend which is very likely to continue next year

It is very easy to bitcoin that hit 25,000 $ in the end of 2018 because the value of the bitcoin is pumping day by day. Bitcoin cross the early stages slow but now it is rushing the limits and hope that it can hit the 25,000 $ in the next year.

I think so too. Bitcoin has more potential to move faster than other coins. Besides since most cryptos are being valuated to USDT and BTC, this gives BTC an edge to perform better than any other. So $25,000 is pretty an amazing feat and BTC can hit the mark easily.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD FUD and more FUD on: January 01, 2018, 12:01:39 PM
Was at a BBQ a few days ago and Bitcoin was a hot topic.

What had really frustrated me was when someone said "I read the creator of Bitcoin has sold all his BTC, Bitcoin is going down". I was WTF are you reading?, then i remembered the story of the founder of bitcoin.com sold all his BTC. Had to explain that he wasn't the creator of BTC. No one knows for sure who created BTC etc etc.. That, what he had ready was FUD FUD and more FUD!

Then last night, the same thing from someone else! "Creator of Bitcoin has sold all his BTC" and he started to push XRP is the way to go. That was when i really lost it! and told him to go FUCK himself.

We are losing the FUD battle! This is bullshit. It is causing potential new users to opt out of BTC and possibly into alt-coins.

Sly
These people are just idiots. They don't analyze anything and just follow whatever FUD they come across to be true and they just don't stop with that. They try their best and spend their energy to spread this FUD to many people they know.It creates a negative publicity among the public about bitcoin.

I can't blame them, the bitcoin and alt currencies are yet to be regulated so it really is much as standing on a very thin rope that could snap anytime. What I'll recommend they do is study, read and understand.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: December 28, 2017, 04:04:17 PM

Hey, for once google translate made that largely comprehensible. Perhaps everyone's desperately correcting his posts and it's slowly getting the hang of it. It looks like he thinks it's business as usual so largely up and falls at this point are no big deal.

"Greetings to the misters "The bubble burst". I've heard you dozens of times in six years."

he suggest 10k retest first from here, and 8k may be too low to expect, or may feel quite bearish, but still a positive buy.

This is why I suggest sideways/further correction afterwards, further touches of 10k or below would be quite a big event compared to previous corrections in the year. Also a very large amount of money has flown to alts such as ether for this upcoming long trade in ethbtc. This may take some steam out of the sails for btc for a few months or so.

no matter how price will go down or up ,holding is the best chioce ,and when the price hit the $70k,i think i will sell some of my coins .buy a big house and a nice car.

you basically just said "if the price goes up or down, holding is the best choice, but when the price goes up, I will sell"... makes perfect sense to me! Wink

some of us like to actively trade to increase various possibilities. If anything it helps in the long term identifying if 70k is a good level to sell at. I have to admit, it was very hard for the first year or 2, swings in balance are inevitable. It gets easier, and holding is not necessarily the best option when competition takes money away from btc, even if that's only for medium/short term. I know someone who does put his btc into alts from time to time, so he is at least holding something other than cash. His approach is always to accumulate more btc though.

One very good investment tactics would be, to diversify one's portfolio and use BTC to gauge ROI. This way, once BTC slumps, you can have alts to depend on.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: ⛔️⛔️⛔️ Is It Time To Cash Out The Profits? ⛔️⛔️⛔️ on: December 28, 2017, 04:01:30 PM
The only people who would have challenges in cashing out their profits are those who joined the crypto wagon late. But if you have been long in the trade, you can always liquidate a fraction.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: December 28, 2017, 04:00:33 PM

Are you saying, BTC will fall below $6k threshold? That would deal a great blow to the community.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EVE] DEVERY.IO - Protecting e-commerce brands and consumers on: December 28, 2017, 03:58:52 PM
I guess this project is more about transport and logistics than is about online shopping. But what direct plans do investors have to achieve milestone success?
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall down on december on: December 28, 2017, 03:56:20 PM
Bitcoin is rising too fast. It is not normal. How do you think?
I predict Bitcoin will fall at 7k on December
You know what, the reason why bitcoin rising too fast because of its demand. All people demand on this coin that's why price rising too fast 4x the price before. Maybe it will fall but not 7k$, it might fall about 15k$. More patience you can have, more money you can get.

Reminds me of what happened same time last year and previous years. the price usually drops because of festivity and moreover, this year has more ICOs rolling out, so people liquidate to buy Ethereum and other token issuing blockchains to buy ICOs. However, bitcoin price are ultimately decided by whale-factors.

It's a pity many would be crypto investors still do not understand the economics nor the mechanics of blockchain based currencies.
