41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest upon??? on: February 22, 2018, 09:25:24 PM
You have not mentioned if there is a long term investment or short term one. Either one, as a safe investment my choices are Ether and NEO. And my favorite risky investments are Oyster and EncryptGen - I do see them as high risk but also high reward.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin Statment Regarding Cryptocurrencies on: February 21, 2018, 07:47:20 PM
Well he is not wrong, any market that has risk could easily drop to zero if all confidence is lost. However, I don't know why he would underestimate the tech that he created, weird that the creator themselves loses confidence before the market does. Only in god damn crypto would that happen lolz! Cheesy
Vitalik Buterin never lost confidence in Ethereum or crypto since he clearly is still actively involved in, the above quote probably has been taken completely out of context. Why should we assume Vitalik underestimates the tech he created?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN][PP][AIRDROP] MONETO - WE ISSUE INSTANT LOANS SECURED BY BITCOINS🔥 on: February 21, 2018, 12:29:18 PM
I do think there is a market for instant loans secured by Bitcoins and the demand for such service will grow over time. Does Moneto is similar to Nexo (as far as I see, Nexo offer instant crypto overdrafts).
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when you are over 50% lose on your trades? on: February 21, 2018, 11:41:11 AM
The right move is stop trading when you are over 50% lose on your trades because if you trade six different tokens at the time, it seems you don`t poses the right skills for trading. The only excuse is if Bitcoin is rallying and because of that the whole alts market is down - in this situation, you have to wait for BTC to stabilize and the alts will recover.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin $20k by July according to Tom Lee on: February 20, 2018, 10:32:02 PM
Bitcoin is $11,880 right now, so this bullish rally makes me think everything is possible. Let`s wait and see where it goes, it might as well go down in a couple of days. Tom Lee seems very prudent compared with the guy from CNBC who predicted $50,000 EOY.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store all my Ripple?? on: February 18, 2018, 10:09:21 AM
I`m not quite a fan of Ripple so I currently don`t own any, but as a Ledger Nano S owner I`ve noticed that it can also store XRP. And I highly recommend it! Whether you choose it or not (I suppose there are also other hardware wallets who support XRP), you should seriously think twice about storing your coins on any exchange.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEXT BIG ALTCOINS on: February 18, 2018, 09:56:56 AM
Since you like so much this exchange, you should consider support them by buying some of their own tokens - Binanace (BNB). Some other best alt coins to buy right now on Binance: Ethereum, Enigma (ENG), NULS, Quantstamp (QSP). Not listed on Binance, but might worth to take a look at Oyster Pearl (PRL), EncrypGen (DNA) or even much lower market cap Accelerator Network (ACC).
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When XRP (Ripple) to moon? on: February 17, 2018, 11:26:11 PM
Supporters of the decentralized crypto market never want Ripple to flourish because if XRP goes to the moon, that day whole crypto market will going crash as it will be the start of the centralized crypto era over the death of Bitcoin.
It`s very interesting, right now on the same page of Altcoin Discussion is the another Ripple thread called: "Trying to understand hate for Ripple" (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2966798.0). Maybe the Ripple`s real mooning will occur after it will convince the majority of crypto enthusiasts that it is indeed a true crypto currency...
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Plz explain how ERC20 goes up 900% and down 840% in the same day? on: February 17, 2018, 09:06:50 PM
What’s the deal with ERC20? Coin value went up 900% and them lost the entire increase in value in the same day? HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? What causes this incredible volititlity?  I’ve crossed over the newbie stage and just getting more familiar with the more complex, but what is ERC20 exactly (in simple terms)? Is it a good idea to by $10-$15k worth now? Where can I buy that much given I should/do?

EtherDelta was suggested online, but totally can’t fogure it out. Anyone fired up about this the profitability of this coin? Or concerned?

Your Thoughts we be appreciated!
Looks like Token Store (it`s the first time I hear about it) is the only exchange where you can buy ERC20 $15K worth today - but the question is WHY?!?  Huh I see you are a newbie on the forum, but still... If you don`t know the project and the team behind it you shouldn`t even CONSIDER investing $15K in any token!
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔴 🔴 🔴 Attention: KYC for Bounties 🔴 🔴 🔴 on: February 16, 2018, 03:04:10 PM
Is it worth the risk to give your personal data to some new/unknown companies?!?  Undecided I thought ICO`s are using this Know Your Customer thing just because there are big amounts involved and because they need to restrict the US and Chinese citizens. But requiring KYC for some $20 bounty tokens seems crazy for me. I understand that they must comply to local regulators, but there will be always some countries where crypto rules won`t be so strict - so I`ll try to involve myself into the projects from those countries.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO on: February 16, 2018, 02:28:54 PM
Do you think is a good time for buying some NEO now? Whit many Ico coming could be the last chance before the price is going to increase much.
NEO has the 70% of my portfolio, because i believe NEO has far more potential than ethereum,NEO as the chinese ethereum has more advance technology than eth's platform they borth offers smartcontracts and d-apps,NEO has NEP5 tokens which are upgraded version of ERC20 tokens, this is why most of the new developers are using NEO platform over ETH's outdated platform.
You`re definitely a NEO enthusiast - having as much NEO (70% of your portfolio) - and you still talk about it "as the Chinese Ethereum"... I think this syntagm is generally used by the people who wants to mock NEO, not to praise it  Smiley

I like both NEO and Ethereum and I plan to hold both of them for a long time. I guess it`s a good time to buy NEO (now BTC is rising and alts are a little down, as usual).
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in ethereum 2018? on: February 15, 2018, 06:17:37 PM
Long term, Ethereum is a good investment, but nobody knows what its price will be at the end of the year and what is the perfect time to buy it. The price of Ethereum started to rise these days, so looks like it`s not a good idea to buy now because it might dip (or not)... also, if you think it was priced almost $1,400 less than a month ago, this $936 looks like a bargain today  Wink
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: February 13, 2018, 08:31:38 PM
Apart of people who do day trading, I think the ones who sell their altcoins so soon are newcomers. They come full of hopes, expecting to get rich fast and put their money in all kinds of shticoins with nothing else than a catchy name or a shinny whitepaper. Then they panic when experience the first time sudden drop of the price or hear some FUD news. Patience is the key in crypto, my rule is never sell at a loss unless I have a good reason to do it.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: February 13, 2018, 08:13:14 PM
As far as I see, the consensus seem to be "dump immediately". Indeed, most of the people sell their airdropped tokens as soon as they receive them, so the price will drop regardless how good the project is. Nobody seems to care about the project, the team... Yeah, I know it`s free money, but I don`t know if it worth the time to hunt the airdrops, to complete the tasks, to register and then to sell the tokens for a few dollars. I prefer to wait and, if I like the project, to even buy some of the dumped tokens. Also, I try to avoid airdrops who are clearly pump and dump projects.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin White (BTW) good for long hold? on: February 12, 2018, 12:01:13 PM
so you guys saying that even this coin has a promising project hardworking team good roadmap etc, as long they have the name bitcoin on it, it will not be worth it?
Au contraire my friend - the "Bitcoin" name itself probably worth something, that`s the reason many coins use it. When I heard about this particular coin using the "Bitcoin" name I assumed BTW is another shitcoin created on the Ethereum platform. But I documented myself about it and the project is interesting, it has its own blockchain and quite a large community. I just don`t like at all the "Bitcoin" name... For the moment it is listed only on some obscure exchanges, but I think it will have a good price after it will be traded on a more established exchange.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MyEtherWallet vs. MyCrypto on: February 11, 2018, 05:51:58 PM
I see you made a poll, but I think the better question is: "Will you use the new MyCrypto wallet or will stick to MyEtherWallet?". Because right now is hard to say which one is better since we didn`t have time to familiarize with the new one. Personally, I`ll continue using MEW, I don`t see any reason to try something else since I`m also using a hardware wallet. Also, I don`t like the way this internal team split happened, MyCrypto changed MEW`s Twitter account generating confusion (as expected, many people said it was hacked or at least to avoid using MEW for a while, so I lost valuable time trying to understand what`s going on).
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oyster Pearl on: February 11, 2018, 01:45:53 AM
The news came out on an article on Medium that Pearl owners will soon receive an important airdrop. If you are a holder, look for details, if you are not a holder, become one Smiley

Yep, Oyster Shell (SHL) will be airdropped at a 1:1 ratio to all PRL holders at some point in the future.  I didn't see a date announced for the snapshot or the drop itself, though I'm sure that will be announced shortly.  Interesting.

Will the snapshot be taken on the Ethereum network, so that people will just get it without having to do anything, or some action is required on behalf the Pearl holders?

Yes, there will be a snapshot taken on the Ethereum network and there is no action to be done as a holder as long as we keep the PRL`s in our private wallet. Also, there are plans to work with the exchanges, but so far no agreement was made to get them directly into the exchange account - anyway, there is plenty of time for everybody to prepare since they will send the new Shell tokens at the beginning of March, after the 10 Million token burn from dev wallet will be carried through.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oyster Pearl on: February 10, 2018, 11:14:29 PM
Hey guys,
I've recently found Oyster Pearl. I'll have to do my homework about this project yet, but it looks like one of the undervalued project with potential. If you have some interesting ideas about this coin, share it!

Why is it undervalued according to you? Is there anything it can do that other coins can't do?
PRL is an utility token, it will be used to pay for anonymous and decentralized storage and we can say it is undervalued right now because it will be pegged to minimum 64 GB of storage for a year and that means the token is supposed to worth about $8 (afaik, 100 GB a year on Dropbox is $12, on Google Drive costs $24, on MEGA is $30, on Storj is $11,5 and on SIA is $2.4).

Also, PRL has more than a shinny white paper: they recently opened their testnet A for public (for uploading files on IOTA`s tangle) and I tested it myself (successfully uploaded and retrieved a file - for a limited time, everyone can do this for free, for info check their reddit or telegram group), end of this month will be testnet B (for monetizing web content) and in April Oyster should release the mainnet.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgrail NANO hack on: February 10, 2018, 10:40:23 PM

Really sucks for people stuck on that exchange, but doesn't seema reflection on the coin at all.
There is a reflection on the coin, the most visible one is in its price which dropped 16% (satoshi). Also, don`t forget the fact that right now almost 13% of the total supply of NANO is in the hands of the hacker and we can only speculate about his further plans. I empathize with the people who lost large sums on Bitgrail and I hope they will get some compensation from NANO dev team funds (the amount is huge, I presume they can`t afford to compensate 100%), after all they promoted this unknown exchange (I never heard about it until I saw RaiBlocks markets on CoinMarketCap). The community have faith in the tech, but right now I sense mixed feelings about the team because there are so many people affected and they feel like devs should support them somehow.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOKEN TO ETH on: February 09, 2018, 04:11:35 AM
Do I need to change all my coins to ETH or hold the coins until their price go up? What will be the best option for now?
It depends on what coins that you have, if there's a good potential why you change to Ethereum?
ETH has a great potential and second to bitcoin good for long term.
But I advice to you if you're coins have a potential it's better to hold both ETH and your coin.

The answer to this question actually resides from the reason for acquiring those coins... it is supposed we buy some coins because we love the project behind them and we believe their price will increase over time, right? During this dip, most of the coins dropped their value more then Ethereum, so it seems not a good idea to sell them right now.
