41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market stabilizes. on: September 01, 2018, 09:14:16 PM
The market stabilization of the bitcoin until very recently was tantamount to leaving a bull in a chinese shop. However, I am sure that the market price is held this way for maybe another bullish run that will put the whales and new entrants in very huge profits
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we make people accept bitcoins as a currency? on: September 01, 2018, 08:58:31 PM
The security and reliability of the markets, the tokens and the products must be well defined and uses known, that way the  iota of doubt and fear of ambiguity is forever removed and settled after all no one is so daft and stupid as to just think that there is free money anywhere and of all places on the internet. they would be convinced when they see the results in our own lives.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is any person or group archiving crypto history? on: August 30, 2018, 04:17:38 PM
At the moment any of such videos could be memes for a few people and this will be for as long as they want to keep that kind of stuff, but in general you can be sure that all will not be lost as somewhere along the line someone may dig into his archives and see these stuff.
The trend however will be to keep the newest and latest and nothing unusual may make it
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INTERNET = BITCOIN? on: August 30, 2018, 04:06:45 PM
Dude! The internet is way bigger than the bitcoin..... The internet for now does not need the bitcoin to live, survive or be relevant. That cannot be said of the bitcoin relative to the bitcoin. the internet has so much force that were it to shut down, life could be thrown back to premedieval times as the world could become chaotic and brought to halt..... Ever thought of how many governments and peoples rely on this vehicle for survival? Your guess is as good as mine
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will bitcoin affect the fortunes of elections & office seekers in elections? on: August 30, 2018, 04:01:10 PM
In my country, Sub-Saharan Africa, the rise in the bitcoin wave is bringing more and more people to seek a way out of poverty and penury. As such, the people in recent times, have inquired into the disposition and position of office seekers their mind about crypto currency whether they will support it or not. Does who did not give a favourable answer did not get a good response from the crypto community thus it affected the results of the poll. Talk of the power of the bitcoin and people making their voice heard!
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How will bitcoin affect the fortunes of elections & office seekers in elections? on: August 30, 2018, 03:43:27 PM
I have found that most innovations and inventions usually affect the way people respond to events or even to national issues based on the purpose of the invention and usage or usefulness. My opinion is that Europeans and Asians will want to see more of their elected officials support rather than oppose the cryptocurrency boom. Do you think officials who have a manifesto to be open to new innovations in your country could get elected or denied? Your candid views please
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: August 26, 2018, 11:15:09 PM
Risk is part of every day endeavour and taking them reasonably enables us to get ahead of everyday pressure, like the bills to pay and the way to go about it. Taking risk in crypto is not novel as it is a win or lose platform..... Caution is the word and wisdom the light to successfully trade in crypto.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Lost Coins and Its Contribution on: August 26, 2018, 01:32:32 PM
The 'lost' bitcoins as it were are not really lost but a way of deciphering lost keys to these wallets will be the tech needed to unlock certain wallets when the owners can prove beyond reasonable doubt that they own such wallets.... You may say that's impossible or very difficult. But when the tech comes, it will become possible....
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: August 26, 2018, 01:06:58 PM
I am not totally in consonance that bitcoin has failed as a currency. Infact the ability of bitcoin to be adopted as a means of payment is a sign that things will certainly get better and be more predictable and adaptable as the bitcoin and crypto currency becomes much more stable an reliable. The best is yet to come!
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin must be regulated! on: August 25, 2018, 08:41:52 AM
The bitcoin revolution has come and the dimension that the crypto world has taken calls for regulation and monitoring in some sense so that the activities of fraudsters and scammers are seriously curtailed and mitigated. If the crypto space is not protected or regulated,, then we expose ourselves to the dangers of the crypto being labelled a fraudulent business.
51  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 25, 2018, 08:27:20 AM
Hope they found out that it was the true NS. If it wasn't then  I think some dudes just scammed themselves for nothing. For there is not a proof till this moment of who the real NS is neither is their any link to determine who his real identity is...... Sincerely, he has done a good job keeping himself off the radar of inquisitive minds.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are old coins no more profitable on: August 25, 2018, 08:23:47 AM
New coins have the tendency of appreciating easily when they have a large volume purchase and value equity margin. If it is dumped however, it suffers massively and sometimes may make some to think they made a mistake buying them in the first place.
I will think that the top 200 are finding it difficult to make a break through above a present threshold which may not be unconnected with market forces determinants.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: August 25, 2018, 08:19:57 AM
Bitcoin certainly being a type of business is for risk takers who understand what is on ground and how they are ready to turn their assets to profits. It is not for the chickenhearted or the naive. It is for the shrewd and the risk taker who understands the risks.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is independent? or depends on fiat currency on: August 25, 2018, 08:17:25 AM
Bitcoin initially entered the market and was purchased via fiat..... the dollar, the euro, the pound.....etc. Afterwards, many now trade with the bitcoin in exchange for fiat like dollars.... The truth is until, we have more outlets that deal with every day life activities and services accepting the bitcoin, we'll continue to depend largely on fiat for purchases and payment of goods and services.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: August 25, 2018, 08:14:07 AM
While the idea of bitcoin getting to 100k sounds ludicrous, bitcoin does have competition and they are in the offing....... other coins that can build their own blockchain or correctly their own ledger will have the tendency of trading independently of the bitcoin ledger. Once they can establish the  fact that they are here for business, boom becomes the way they go...
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: August 23, 2018, 02:36:18 PM
Regulating the bitcoin and the crypto space at large removes the very life and essence of the bitcoin and altcoins as this reverts the crypto world to the conventional fiat and central exchanges thus defeating the original idea of Nakamoto satoshi. This is not to say that some policies and rules are not enacted to protect the Crypto revolution!
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks Consume Over Three Times More Energy Than Bitcoin on: August 23, 2018, 02:27:14 PM
The idea that banks consume more energy than the bitcoin mining is not necessarily so. What makes the energy consumption high is inefficient energy activities, high energy losses etc. The energy crisis, if any should be addressed specifically and in context not using a one off data to generalise the issue on hand
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard now ready to join the Crypto game on: August 22, 2018, 11:00:11 AM
MasterCard has over the years patented and perfected the art of online activities using the chip. MasterCard taking the decision of entering the crypto business will be game as usual. they have taken time to evaluate the risks involved in this murky waters that is yet to settle out. I truly hope they fins a way to harmonise their activities around the ATM.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prices spiked to $ 6,900 when BitMEX turned offline. on: August 22, 2018, 10:56:12 AM
Whatever has happened in my opinion is far from coincidence and mere chances. Why was the surge by $300 not witnessed before the BitMEX maintenance? why was then a fall approximately the time they resumed again? What is this pointing to? There are some folks with the capacity to manipulate prices who are doing something fishy. sooner than later we shall all get to the root.
60  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why I don't Support KYC in cryptocurrency as it is on: August 22, 2018, 10:46:23 AM
I read`through the points you raised and facts be told, this is one of the strongest and most coherent point I have seen on the bitcointalk platform. I must say that It may seem that I have been foolish myself in the past with some ICO's requiring KYC. I am wiser now and will tow this line to be safe rather than sorry.
