I'm sorry, but I really am not understanding all of that the post What about this (sort of based on that) Each ticket is given a number, which equals (100/(S+1))*P, where S=Number of tickets sold and P=place which the ticket was sold, so first sold is 1, second is 2...The +1 is in there so the lowest and highest numbers will be evenly spaced from 0 and 100 Then, the winner is the person whose number is closest to the number formed by combining the last two digits of the most recent block's hash. If the number was closer to zero or 100 than the lowest ticket number, the next block will be used (or else first and last tickets would be more likely to win) In the example you linked to, the numbers would be: 20 nikto 40 boba 60 spork 80 azrael And the last two digits of the block would be 7 and 2, making the number 72, so azrael would win This seems like it would be fair to me

If I only sold one more ticket, the payback odds would be 400%

I'm sorry to say that I didn't exactly go through all 15 pages of my last thread and didn't see your comment until now. Right now, I have a spreadsheet of all entries, but not the hashes system. What if I just had an unbiased hero member look at my spreadsheet and use a random number generator to choose the winner, then post the name in the thread?

I sent BTC0.01 for 2 tickets also! 13t7yBPPStby4qWbUyG4HimoLE97jNvfcG
Great that brings the total to BTC0.08 with 4 tickets sold

If there's no legitimate way to find out who's the winner, then there's actually no point in doing it and no one will ever trust you
Do you want to propose a system?

If I do not post the winner within 5 minutes of the first BTC block's discovery after 5:00pm PST (12:00 UTC) on Thursday, June 6th, I ask that all entrants leave me negative feedback
Okay, so this will have been the third time that am running this...the first time, I was called a scammer before anyone bet and the second time I was complete idiot and I held the drawing a day late, but that is all sorted now. Maybe this time I can prove that I am able to organize something like this properly. I would like to gain trust before trading with other users for obvious reasons, so I am holding a Bitcoin raffle where I will pay out 50% more than the total amount from bidders, plus a 0.05 btc starting prize. I simply ask that the winner leave a good review on the trust thing below my username. For example, if 10 people buy a raffle ticket (0.005 btc), I will send 0.075 to the winner. I am, however, going to limit my contribution to 0.2 btc plus the 0.05 to start. If I sell less than 5 tickets, I will send every entrant twice what they sent. To enter, send at 0.005 btc to 124YPLs72BiMgHkBqkL3G3Ag3TCWvWmgss (an easywallet for this raffle) and post your address so that I can prove that the winnings went out to an actual person in the thread. If you send more, you will be buying multiple raffle tickets. EDIT: The winner will be determined using a provably fair method outlined below in the threadEDIT: You can now view current entries and odds at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmRvfLTge4DMdFFSVXVrR2R1RnNaWEJ4U05sS2FhVlE#gid=0I will try to update this thread with the current prize amount and the number of tickets sold and to answer any questions. Thanks ---Ticket price: BTC0.005---Current prize: BTC0.155---Tickets sold: 14---

Are you thinking of adding a deposit/withdrawl system, for small bets the transaction fees (especially on LTC) make itr eally hard to win any money currently

Yes, try what gweedo said... open a command line at the folder with your feathercoin-qt.exe in it and launch feathercoind.exe in the command line with "feathercoind -rescan" and wait a while

You may have noticed the scam accusations by me inregrads to your raffle. My question is why were the funds of each entry in the wallet withdrawn before the contest end date instead of being left for the winner?
Also curious how you can hype two threads for a few days and completely forget about them in less then 24 hrs? Does any of these questions I asking about strike you as odd behavior in any way?
That's all I want to know, I've given this topic to much attention already. All the best with ur rep.
As for the funds, I don't really remember what I did as far as moving them around, I didn't think I moved them before the end date, but maybe I did and forgot, and you're probably better at reading the blockchain... I used an easywallet address for the raffle entries (I know it isn't the most secure way) except after the end I put them into a regular wallet that I use because I had to send the winner more than is in the easywallet (used just for entries). I honestly don't know how I forgot about them, and I know this is odd behavior. I completely get your scam accusations, I said the drawing would be at one time and then I didn't hold the drawing. On a second note, I'm sending a pm to n00ber because he hasn't been online in a while and I want to make sure everything went okay with the transaction and maybe get a rep score.

Once again, enacio, please give me your address for your prize

I was kind of sad when I thought I'd been scammed. And I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt. So if you start anything else, I'll enter Thanks, and if I have anything like these in the future, I'll make sure to organize them better

Congrats to einacio and thanks to personABCD for making this free raffle. Can you demostrate to us that it was a "provably fair” game? Thanks
I didn't exactly set up a whole system with hashes and everything, so unfortunately I don't think I will be able to do so, I'm really sorry about that. I just counted the posts and used a random number generator of and made the winner the person whose post was that many posts from the top. I decided beforehand that if the generator gave a post number that wasn't an entry, I'd just try get a new number, but this didn't happen. However, once enacio posts his/her address, I will post the transaction ID
