43  Economy / Goods / Re: 1 oz Silver Engelhard Bars (Rare) .4 BTC per. on: July 26, 2013, 08:39:56 PM
Gotta love the drama at BTC talk! I sold the engelhard bars for $30 an ounce. I had forgotten to mention they were poured silver bars. Please don't spread rumors you know little about, Amaze!

Best,
Justin

Thanks for a personal reply and congratulations on the sale.

You don't know me and I don't know you but by reading threads on this very forum I was able paint an interesting picture about how you operate your business. So far it's issues with refunds, being defensive and the quoted text above. I will be happy to spend my btc elsewhere, seeing as veterans such as Amagi Metals and newbies like Agora Commodities both accept btc and take better care of their customers!

Yeah, my local coin shop has Engelhard bars for $25, so even if I was interested, not for double spot price!

I would buy every 1oz Englehard bar that shop will sell you; that is a great price!

OP's price is steep, but 1oz Englehards fetch a hefty premium over spot, as seen here.

Ebay is a blatant rip-off and so is their child - PayPal. To cover their selling fees you have to add at least 10% on top of what you want to get for your items, which is stupid.

Hold on, so BTC5 for 13 oz. of silver? BTC0.38/oz.? These must be EXTREMELY rare collector's items.  Roll Eyes
Yeah for real. Maybe its made of gold or something.

I suspect the definition "rare" was added to fool less experienced buyers. Or perhaps because SilverVigilante needs to make some quick BTC to refund a customer who waited for his gold for three weeks, finally gave up and asked for a refund, which I believe he also has to patiently wait for.

Do you add MSG or any preservatives?

What's the point of this thread? If girls use Bitcoin, so what? If girls don't, again, so what?

48  Economy / Goods / Re: Gold Silver Bitcoin Discounted Gold on: July 26, 2013, 02:06:26 AM
just a bit confused, if the OP was posting to sell in hand gold how come you are receiving refunds instead of product?

GSB was apparently run by 2 people, however, the partnership ended (surprise!*) and the other person involved started Agora Commodities, ive never used Agora however have spoken to them(Joseph the CEO) through several emails and was shown a picture of at least 90oz of Perth Bars, so perhaps they are currently a better choice with Amagi's current banking situation, Im gonna give Agora a try so figured id pass on what I know to the community

*I know nothing of why they separated however am familiar with going into business with partners

I am also confused about it as I have been following these topics closely without being registered on the forum.

So Justin has the customer's order but he is selling it off here?

He is also trying to buy Bitcoin and posting something confusing about having trouble with questions from tellers at banks and problems with his website. But then he says he uses BitPay, so technically there should be no questions from tellers at the bank because BitPay payments are direct transfers into the bank account without any involvment from the tellers.
49  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: goldsilverbitcoin.com: excellent service on: July 26, 2013, 01:55:08 AM
I have no idea why people order for rip off prices on goldsilverbitcoin, coinabul, and amagi now that agoracommodities started accepting bitcoin.  I just checked prices on a 1oz krugerrand:

16.45 bitcoins at goldsilverbitcoin.com
16.24 at agoracommodities.com

Agora's shipping appears to be way less.  That is a $19 difference.

Good to know.

I like using different sources to feed my gold/silver addiction, but I think I'll steer clear of goldsilverbitcoin because calling a cell phone number to place my order seems shady to me. They also don't have any company information listed on their website. I'm not sure "Gold Silver Bitcoin LLC" exists at all.

Despite being a child of the 80's and an avid Web 1.0 user, I think I have become too spoilt by slick responsive web based UI's Sad

This forum hurt my brain entirely.  I was tearing my hair out looking for the new thread & reply buttons and the help page offered me no love.

But alas, here I am.. a submitter at last to the newbie section of this forum... and all i have to say here is...

Hi   Grin

You'll get there in the end!

The more posts you have the shorter the time allowed between them.

its still nearly 1m after 1,000 posts as its the amount of time you have been a member aswell

So it doesn't get much easier unless you're a veteran.

sell at ebay or any exchange

Don't touch ebay when it comes to BTC!
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Offering PayPal for Bitcoin? You're likely to be labeled a scammer - Read why on: July 25, 2013, 09:03:59 PM
I closed my PayPal account and do not intend to reopen it because I am just against the whole idea of PayPal. I've heard too many horror stories about them and their fascist "business" practises. And Bitcoin for PayPal is a kind of oxymoron for me. They just don't go together very well.
