I like option B.  This way you are not playing against the house but other players.  It makes things more interesting imo.

Make sure to let us know when the game is ready Smiley
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: 21 millions bitcoiners on: July 30, 2015, 04:35:33 PM
What will be the value of one Bitcoin when the number of users (people that will want to use Bitcoin) will hit 21 millions?

At this point, if each user wanted to have 1 Bitcoin, will have to pay a certain number of $ or € or Y, whatever. I'm going with $ just because it's the most used around the world.

How many $ do you think that person, the n. 21 millionth, who wants to buy 1 BTC will have to pay to obtain it?

My wild guess is: 160000 $.

A lot more than we thing probably. Always take into account there are way less coins available than 21 million, a ton of them are lost forever, and a lot more aren't even mined yet, so if that threshold is surpassed the price goes higher. I cant honestly give you an exact number. I like the Xapo's CEO prediction: between 500.000 and 1 MM dollars.

The crazy thing is that if you really look at the numbers, and consider that a reasonable number of people around the world start using bitcoin as a storage of value, then those numbers (500k-1mil) are not far fetched at all.

With the recent developments (nasdaq, citi bank, etc) I think btc awareness is growing, and we are fast approaching a turning point.

That being said, I don't think all that money would flow in to btc exclusively.  I think that what would happen is that other, better coins would have their caps raised as well.  For example a rise in ltc makes sense as the transaction time is much lower, or maybe one of the anon coins would get boosted.

Either way we are in exciting times.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie questions on: July 30, 2015, 04:28:23 PM
As others have said, faucets are a waste of time.  I only recommend them if you are new to bitcoins.  Then you can use them to get some free coin ("dust") so you can learn how to use wallets and send transactions.

My favorite one is moonbitcoin, because you don't need to sign in every two minutes.  But even then you are earning a fraction of a penny every few days (is it pence over there?  Shilling?)

Look around this forum, learn a bit about cryptos.  I think the chance of bitcoin losing value and becoming worthless is close to zero, but you have to decide for yourself.

I truly believe that this is the beginning of the future of currency, and I am excited to be a (very small) part of it.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Accept KYC or jump through hoops to avoid it? on: July 30, 2015, 03:59:53 PM
I voted the first option.  The thing is, the cat is already out of the bag.  At least for me.  My data, all of it, has been out there for a long time.  For example when I went to CC, they used my SS number for everything, from registering for classes to paying fees in person (yeah, thats right you just gave the number to people standing around behind a counter, usually other students, with other students in line all around).

It is a sad truth that people never fix anything ahead of time, only after it is broken (see: global warming).  So, my data is already compromised for anyone who wants it, I am sure.  It wasn't until pretty recently that we collectively said "uh, oh shit maybe we better not just give all this information away".

You might call me stupid for participating ni this stuff, but I had to choose my battles.  I was aware at the time that giving my ss number was stupid, but I didn't have the time or energy to fight the system.

Anyway, for me it is too late, maybe for you guys it is not.

Just a question, what is the difference between Umisoo and umisoo averaged?  I know it should be obvious, so sorry for the noob Tongue
46  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BTCHyip - brand new HYIP on: July 29, 2015, 06:00:46 PM
Oh I am not sure if you should "invest" there. I have little bit of experiences with owner of this ponzi. And they are really bad :/, he didn't even paid first investors.

Can you be more specific?  Are you saying that he was the admin of a different scheme, but didn't run it well?  Or straight up scammed?  Thanks!
47  Other / Off-topic / Re: Creating new digital USD (for the Federal Reserve) on: July 29, 2015, 05:55:04 PM
you could track every single dollar created by the Fed.

The fed doesn't want this.  Do you have any idea how much cash they are pumping out nowadays?  I don't think that the fed would allow this, let alone be interested in it.
48  Economy / Services / Re: [GoldenBitcoin.com] Signature Campaign - Earn Bitcoins by Posting Here on: July 29, 2015, 05:52:33 PM
Offers for a sig campaign?  I think your best bet is to look here and decide what rates you want to offer versus other advertisers.

There are many possible advertising schemes, for different level members.  I bet you can find something that fits your goals.
49  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBlastOff.com - A Unique Provably Fair Dice Game -1% House Edge -Invest Option on: July 28, 2015, 03:58:24 PM
I dont really understand risk profiles
can you explain it clearly?

Risk Profiles:

    Baby - Multiplier of .45 to 1.5X
    Low - Multiplier of .2 TO 2X
    Medium - Multiplier of .05 to 2.5x
    High - Multiplier of .05 to 3x
    YOLO - Multiplier of .05 to 4x

Better try this site using faucet to understand better about risk profile because these are already explained by OP.

I am not sure they are explained.  Or if they are then I am stupid lol.  So, how does your chance of winning change?  I can see the multiplier is different, but why not just choose the highest payout?  Maybe I am just not reading it right.
50  Economy / Gambling / Re: gambling sites with faucet / no deposit bonus on: July 28, 2015, 03:55:58 PM
My favoriet is the faucet on dadice.   It is a pita to level up, basically you have to put it on pilot mode with minimum bet, at 98% win.  Then just let it chug away in the background while you work, browse the net, etc.  But the payouts are really nice for a faucet imo.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin / Crypto wreaking havoc on Dow, Shanghai composite and Commodities on: July 28, 2015, 03:53:06 PM
i cant see a correlation between the stock market and BTC , sorry. BTC moves very independent.

This.  We might be developing an asset safe haven here, but the vast majority of investors are not even aware of cryptos yet.  When they are the market cap will become very interesting Smiley
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DRKT]2nd round of DPOS, new wallet, 2nd DEV on: July 28, 2015, 03:17:59 PM
There are many was for staking. everyone has there own version.

i like to send my coins in small portions to my wallet.

just send them to a new wallet adress in your wallet that would be enough to start staking again!

when someone have 100.000 coins for example, it is better to send it in

100 coins steps to new adresses = 1000 adresses
or in 1000 coin steps = 100 adresses or
10.000 coin steps = 10 adresses

?

and if you send it to yourself, do you still need to wait 8 hours again for stake, or will they stake because they didnt really leave your wallet?
53  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top Cloud Miners Compared by Profitability on: July 28, 2015, 07:08:33 AM
Hashnest used to be an inefficient market with different profitability among the mining contracts offered. That is no longer the case. See https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1918 for details.

Since there is no longer an advantage to a particular contract it would make sense to buy the contract that is most liquid which is S5. However, there is an interesting glitch that may make UMISOO a hedge against bad pool luck explained at https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1929

We will be working on a trading stategy for Hashnest based on momentum and will publish details once underway. At the moment we have our investment at Hashnest divided between UMISOO and S5.

We were not happy with the returns on our PACMiCv1 contract see our blog article how to profit with Bitmain Hashnest for details.

Just for grins we noticed ZeusHash VGHSv1 is back in stock and bought some today will report yield in 30 days. Not really expecting much but we like to try out the options to give our readers the real skinny.

Hey, thanks for the links.  I like your blog!

To the OP: I got a "site disabled for violating terms" or some such nonsense.  I hope you can get it back, because this site is freaking awesome.  Thanks for the site so far, and I hope to see it up again soon Smiley

I have another stupid noobie question:  the number of coins in my wallet that are staking is changing.  Less and less are staking, and just sitting there.  Is there a reason for this?  Why would they go from staking to not?

Sorry for the stupid, and thanks.

Edit: now nothing is staking?

Coins go in and out of staking  as the mature, stake and have to mature again.
Als you have to move your coins once in a while else they wont stake  Wink

Just small things I want to point out on the wallet:

1. The ticker is now DR? Not DRKT? It says DR on new wallet.
2. Version # still says 1.0 when its clearly much newer. What is correct version #? as I am tweeting about it.

Small things for next update.

Vegas

Wil be fixed the version #
ticker is the same its a flaw in design of new background.

All wil be fixed before new DPOS wil start

So I should send them back and forth between wallet and trex every few days?  But then they have to be in the wallet for 8 hours to stake?  Are there specific guidelines for it?  It seems like an awful lot of trouble, maybe you could put a short guide to staking somewhere?  I am not the only one with these questions, I saw someone else asking about staking.

Thanks!

How many hours must my wallet be online for the staking? 24 hours?

yeah, I can's get any stakeing action.  The wallet lists my coins as "available", not staking.  Sorry maybe I am noob at this, but is there something I need to do to make them stake?

your coins must be miminum 8 hours in your wallet when the staking can begin, how long your coins are in your wallet?

Ah, I see.  I just moved them from the exchange this morning, so that would explain why.  Thanks!
57  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: What are your thoughts in cycle based investments? on: July 27, 2015, 06:43:31 PM
I would stay away.  This sounds like a scam.  You might get paid, you might not, but I think in the long run you are better off with legit investments.
