41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 25, 2017, 06:06:14 PM
My rig run SMOS normally before but now starting up can not connect to simplemining.net. It says: connecting to simplemining.net ... try 2/4, 3/4... 6/4. I login to simpleming.net  and do not see my rig online. My internet connection is ok. Anyone please tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks!

Did you edit your .conf file and spell your email correctly?

I LOVE YOU SMOS! Couldn't get Windows to run more than 9 cards. Now I have 11 with SMOS and the stability is insane! Not one crash in 2 days 1070tis zen dstm.

Eagerly waiting for dstm .5.7 implementation 😁

Just when I thought it was great. Well it's still pretty good.

I am having a problem, I have 11 1070ti's and the weakest of the cards (1070ti EVGA SC) shits the bed after about 10 mins of running. I verify this visually as the fans aren't spinning. The program continues to run with 10 cards just fine.

I am not sure what card it is to adjust the OC settings, can someone please help me to understand how the card numbering works? I keep adjusting the 11th card in but can tell it's adjusting a different card.

Edit: I get some MIT MAGIC error between the OS loading card 0 and 1 I also have an error that says controller something not loading go-to Nvidia --settings

Gettin "Binary file (standard input) matches" after claymore successfully have listed all 13 cards.

My setup is following:

-ethi 6 -gser 2 -eres 1 -wd 0 -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0x235e69e5723beddbcf9a5c3d173fe07f8a5ade53.bigrig -epsw x -mode 1 -ftime 10

The -ethi 6, -gser 2  and -eres 1 settings is my attempt to figure out a fix. they were not nessicary until recently!

Running simplemining OS on asrock h110 pro btc+ from a fast usb3 stick. 16 GB ram, intel 4600 gpu, 2x 1000 psu. Hardware should be fine, but software keeps bugging me..
Also have a mild overclock/underclock (some of my cards are flashed an tested successfully at 2150-2200, yet again, some of them only to 1900 stock. Have set 2000 as memory overclock. And as i stated earlyer, it has worked fine untill this day. Suddenly i have a plethora of restarts for no aparant reason... and "Gettin Binary file (standard input) matches" does not help me much in figuring out the problem.... Before my problem started i had a steady 375mh/sec.. Now the few times im able to start the miner i get like 187 for a short while, then the miner restarts. When the miner restarts and listing the cards i notice that their stated memory has been cut inhalf,., so the4GB 570 suddenly has 2GB, same with 580, 8gb, listed as 4gb...

Also this problem has started to occur.. again out of the blue.. was working fine just a few days ago

How did you get 10 + cards on one rig to recognize? My mobo bios recognizes card but when smos loads it doesn't see it? 9 cards works fine I just hook the tenth up and nothing...
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 9 Cards Yes 10 Cards No 1070ti Windows 10 and smOS on: December 22, 2017, 08:20:43 PM
Thank you for the response. I can get up to 9 to run as well as any other denomination below that. When I plug the 10th card I go into BIOS and can see it shows ten cards "present" but windows will only load the 9. I feel like there might be a windows or Nvidia driver setting but haven't seen any evidence of such a thing in my recent lurches.

Edit: do risers act fuky like this when they go bad or do they not communicate period?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 9 Cards Yes 10 Cards No 1070ti Windows 10 and smOS on: December 22, 2017, 06:29:42 PM
Hey guys quick question. My biostar btc pro bios recognized 10 of my 1070ti but both windows 10 and smOS only recognize 9 when booting any suggestions?
Thanks!

Tell me how to write a log file about the power consumption of a card?
just divide Sol/s on Sol/w from miner log  Wink

or use nvidia-smi like this:

"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvidia-smi.exe" --format=csv,noheader --query-gpu=timestamp,pci.bus_id,name,power.draw --loop=3 -f powerdraw.csv
or
"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvidia-smi.exe" --format=csv,noheader --query-gpu=timestamp,pci.bus_id,name,power.draw --loop=3 >> powerdraw.csv
for append result in file (not overwrite) and for realtime realtime reading this file
Thank you but nvidia-smi --format=csv,noheader --query-gpu=timestamp,pci.bus_id,name,power.draw --loop=3 >> powerdraw.csv      = error access denied

Open your cmdline as admin.

Hi Guys,

New guy here looking for advice. I have 9 1070ti on Win10Pro. 1200w hp server PSU. Newest NVid Driver.

Using MSI Afterburner most cards are set to 65%pwr 190core 690mem I get about 500sols and 4.5sol/w

Every so often I get

GPU3  rejected share: [23,"low difficulty share of 0.062499046325683594"]

as well as

#  GPU7  rejected share: [21,"job not found"]

Are these due to my OC, Internet Speed, Suprnova, something else?

Also cannot get the program stable. Runs for max 24hrs then I get something like CudaMem sent an invalid job.

If I wait a few mins I can restart DSTM and it will run but seems to die a little quicker unless I fully restart.

On Suprnova dashboard my efficiency rating is usually somewhere between 90 and 97%. Do you have any direction to point to find information on how to get it to 100% (if possible)

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

100% efficiency isn't possible you will always get rejected share, a good stable rig is between 99.5/99.8% efficiency. If you have this, you are mostly stable for your sols/w, if you are under this, you can try to lower the OC a bit (by 1mhz increment) and find out if you can balance it. If you lower your hashrate by 2% to save 0.5% of rejected share, you lose out in the end. It's all about balance Smiley.

Also how do you power 9 Ti with 1x 1200w psu ? that seems awfully low bordeline dangerous, the PSU must be overstrained. Or do you have 2 ?

Cheers.

I power 7 from that PSU @240v and 2 from a 600w ATX PSU for mobo... Server PSU barely even spools up fan, stays cool. No connectors / cables get warm.

Hey guys, I cannot get this thing to load for the life of me. I shut down defender, downloaded and opened it, no luck. I tried it on the stock start.bat file and still no luck. The cmd prompt opens for a few seconds and closes when I double click start, double clicking zm opens for a split second... Any suggestions?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Need help getting dam Windows installed to USB Biostar TB250 BTC Pro on: December 10, 2017, 10:23:29 AM
Hi Everyone,

Long time lurcher first time question asker. I am having a hard time getting Windows 10 to install on a thumb drive on my mining rig.

I have a TB250 Pro (updated bios), and a USB 3.0 Drive plugged in along with mouse and keyboard.

I get about 4 clicks into the windows installation where it says "Select which drive you want to install to" and it can't recognize my flash drive(s) I've tried multiples, nothing seems to work.

Anyone ever had this issue?
